planar iems are great for rock. if you want a flatter neutral leaning sound profile then 7hz divine thing is with planars is that the bass is fast and you can crank it up more while still maintaining that clarity and separation. So if you'd abit more bass and more energetic signature then you have stuff like 7hz timeless 2

lots of people like the simgot em6l, my first were the supermix 4 and they were great - but i’d actually recommend the 7hz crinacle divine- kind of the number 1 in your price range. if you wanted something amazing but a lil higher than your budget i just upgraded to the ziigaat arête 2 and ive never been so impressed, or a safer bet for an all rounder would be the softears volume S (ultra cheap option if you fancy it, simgot ew300)

I like BOTH the Divine and Diablo tuning. They are DIFFERENT. Those cables are certainly not my cup of tea. They were immediately replaced as soon as I unboxed the sets. I also have the ET142...the versatility (nozzle tuning) of that set puts it in a different spot compared to ALL the others. I have others "older" planar and planar hybrids. The only one that doesn't hold up (to me) is the F1Pro.... especially when compared to the Divine. The issues (for me) of the F1 Pro can be managed with EQ and tip rolling.

What’s your setup look like now? I’m using the 7hz Divine in arc raiders and it has decent imaging. Also just order the Kefine Delci AE which may be one of the best under $100 for gaming. I can update you about that one later this weekend.

My favorite (but also my only planar IEM) is the Divine. The cable is trash so expect to buy a better one. Tripowin Zonie pairs well with it. The reason why I went with this one is because I bought into the hype of it not being a treble beast like most of the others. I was very impressed. Just know that they are a little on the large side and don’t have a wing for stability. https://preview.redd.it/f7ai905wt5dg1.jpeg?width=2742&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=894f0132004223be4c8ea5aef3e41388d270b7f7

I did try that. I do like bass but that seemed to be just too much for me, and too much into the mids. It’s an overall bassy, warm set compared to the Divine. I would consider the Divine a slight V shape or neutral depending on how you hear things. I think there may be other planar sets with more air but the Divine does a good job overall.

I’d look into getting the 7hz Divine or Tanchjim 4u instead. Sennheiser’s IEM lineup is unfortunately outclassed by many other IEMs these days. Both Divine and 4u have a very balanced signature similar to IE200 but with better tuned treble.

Truthear Hexa. Every review I've seen highly regards it. I found it kinda... boring? Sold it and got the Pure instead and then moved on the 7hz divine.

I went from the westone W20 to the B&O E8 Gen 1 to Sony WF1000XM3 to Google Pixel Buds Pro. While I do miss the wireless aspect of the TWS I've used, they all developed battery problems within a year or two. Recently went back to iems with the 7hz Divine and they are probably the best sounding pair of earphones I've ever used. I don't think I'll be going back to wireless ever again.

Divine is a very good all-rounder option. It's my daily driver. It may sound thin *relative* to other options, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's thin by itself. It just sounds...correct.

So far have bought Truthear red zero and loved them with small wide bore silicone tips I really liked that neutral bright sound. Recently got the Softears Volume S and with the black tips they’re fairly ok, didn’t dislike them but turns out it’s not really the sound signature I’m chasing. Same thing with the clear ones as they turn it into amore of a V shaped which are similar to my wf1000xm5 which I I like but want to stray away from. So basically I’m chasing the red zero silicone wide bore neutral/bright signature but want a bit more brightness that still maintains some clean, tight and controlled sub bass. Budget is about $500 usd

I just got the divine and I couldn’t stop smirking while listening to them. Love the tightness of that bass.
