Definitely can hear a difference for sure. Did A/B testing with my 7Hz elua ultra, INAWAKEN TWILIGHT-DS, and the EBC80. Definitely feels different and trippy being able to hear sounds thru my ear with the EBC80. Not exactly as game changing as some people say but definitely noticeable with a good, deep seal. The main thing I noticed with the EBC80 is that ear tips and cables matter here. With my KBear Obsedian IEM cables they were audibly not as loud and less "detailed", and had reduced bass. I think it's not playing nice with the BCD and is either absorbing the vibrations or just reflecting them away from the IEM/my ears. I tried this with both the 3.5mm and 4.4mm and they both did the same thing. I bought some generic CCA ear tips (they were red so I liked them) and although they made the Twilight-DS and the elua ultra sounds better they did the opposite for the EBC80. It's definitely a different ballgame as I was shocked my KBear Obsedian IEM cables made the sound actually worse when it usually does the opposite. Small things like that can make a difference I guess with EBD and EST drivers. The Elua Ultra doesn't sound as defined, separated or as "fun" as the Twilight-DS, or EBC80. I would say Elua Ultra ~75-80% of the EBC80, the Twilight-DS ~85-90% of the EBC80 in terms of performance, detail separation, and how "fun" they sound. I think this is due to better crossover, and the EST/BCD. The Twilight-DS definitely has some good sub-bass due to the 4DD, the EBC80 has some good sub bass rumbles but not as good. The FR graph explains this because it does peak somewhere higher on the sub bass them falls down. I PEQ the sub-bass and it's pretty similar to the Twilight-DS in terms of sub bass now. I would say the EST and BCD definitely add something special but are very dependent on cables/ear tips. I ended up using the EBC80 green ear tip and stock H2 cable. I might try the other two cable types (S2 and C2) and the SANCAI Noble wide bore brass insert ear tips. The biggest thing I can say the BCD do for me is more vibrations even with higher frequencies, more separations and makes it feel inside/around me since I am "hearing" it inside my ear and also hearing the sound if that makes sense. Initially I was a little torned because I was expecting it to blow away the Twilight-DS, not be ~10-15% better. Now that I am used to them they will definitely be my go to IEMs.

The G1 is better than the 7Hz Zeros. But the Elua Ultra is better than the G1. Bass has more texture, vocals are cleaner, and treble extension has better timbre then the G1 which can sound a little metallic at times. The design of the G1 is, IMHO, more robust and clean with its metal shell, and the style of the Elua Ultra is subjective, but the plastic shell has held up ok thus far, even on my much naligned OG Eluas. The Elua Ultra cable is pretty bad, but it's serviceable, whre the G1s is actually nice. The G1 also comes with a nicer selection of 07 style tips, where the Elua Ultra comes with the same set of Medium and large tips in three different shapes. But the "best" ones, the red conical tips, are now in Black. I dont think you can go wrong either way. I think the Elua sounds better, but the G1 is the better accessorized and built set. Take your pick.

Same, he has some aversion to anything with a hint of bass in it. He called the Elau Ultra a basshead IEM. No, it's warm. If he think it is a basshead IEM, that tells me he hates bass in general.

I have the Elua Ultra. I think it will be exactly what you are looking for. It reminds me of the EDC Pro, but better mids/treble and slightly softer bass. With dual DDs, it does have the clarity and details you are seeking. I bought it specifically for my rock music collection. Being dual DDs, you will need more power to drive it. That's its only real negative.

I only started getting into IEMS in Feb of this year. Forced to stay at home from a tragic work injury, with nothing to do and money to spend. I knew there was life after earbuds, and hence, my first IEM purchase, the Wan'er SG. Best bang for the buck: Kunten, easily. Best of the year: AM16 Bass version. Going from the Kunten and my other single DD to this is like... WOW! Biggest surprise of the year: Well, I have to say the Wan'er, because that blew me away after years of JBL and Sony earbuds. It was my first IEM and it felt like hearing Heaven after earbud hell. Biggest letdown: Truthear Zero:Red. Without the resistor, it has no bass. It doesn't really have treble. And it really doesn't have mids. It has nothing... (Crinacle face zoom)... for $55. Other good ones: 7hz Elua Ultra. KZ Castor Pro bass. KZ EDC Pro, KZ PRX Others I didn't like: 7hz Zero 1 (no bass), KZ Duonic (too v-shaped), SGOR Luna (didn't fit well, and very ugly), Chu2 (It's OK. My other single DD's sounded better)

While in the house, I go for harder-to-drive IEMs, like my PRX, AM16, and my dual DD's/Hybrids (Castor Pros, Eula Ultra, and Duonic). Outside the home, usually my single DDs, like my EDC Pro, Saga bass, Zero 2, and my Rosefinch. So, save power when on phone battery, use power hungries at home. Include 30mW DACs vs 60mW DACs. Which DD to take outside the home? Depends on which one I haven't used in a while. I think I use the Saga bass most though. Works with the EDM I listen to more than any other genre.

Under $50? 7Hz Elua Ultra. 0 hype, all quality.

I'd get Elua Ultra. IMO best quality bass under $50, and if default 13db shelf isn't enough, you can always EQ more.

Elua Ultra if you can find them for $20 since they're usually $30
