AKG N5005. For a very long time it was the Phonak PFE 232 but the N5005 is the perfect upgrade for it. Much better and more robust build, better performance all around, better sound filter system. Haven’t checked in a while but you could get them for $200 new direct from AKG, which is an INSANE deal.

Back in the day it was the Phonak PFE 232. It was so comfortable. I got an AKG N5005 maybe four or five years ago and that’s been my favorite ever since. It just improved on the PFE 232 in every way. The only thing I don’t love about it is the sound isolation is a little lacking. But for listening in a quiet environment it is my go to.

My all time favorite iem is the AKG N5005. They’re not too popular on Reddit and I’ve just never understood why, especially since they’ve long been discounted from their original msrp and can frequently be found at around $200. They have amazing build quality, come with a ton of accessories, and have a ton of versatility with their sound tuning filters. Don’t expect a lot of upvotes on this weirdly unappreciated iem but I’m always ready to recommend it.

If you don't find the explorer troublesome, the pure won't either. I have tried various popular IEMs only three weren't sibilant to me Explorer, Pure and AKG n5005 :)

AKG N5005 are small and absolutely amazing sounding. Come with a crazy amount of accessories. Stock cables kinda suck though. Connector is crazy right (not 2 pin) and cable is mid. Sound is spectacular though. Highs are slightly tinny with the filter that's installed but it has 3 more with it that could probably tame it fine.

I had a pair of AKG N5005 and I paired with fiio Q3 but couldn't feel the difference from my Samsung buds FE😅 Even the AKG K240 that I use for my Guitar; when I'm using it for music it has more details than the 5005😂

oh right too many still; blessing 3, tsmr armor, tanchjim origin, akg n5005, cvj vivian, gk kunten. I think above $300 or so it starts getting diminishing returns. maybe because I use a he6se at home that nothing much impresses me but I'm still perfectly fine using budget sets like the vivian or kunten and don't feel like I'm missing out on too much. EQ and sound processing makes a larger difference.

Hifiman RE600 and other bullet style old IEM like that. AKG N5005 is the smallest I have that has ear hooks and is meant to be worn up.

First of all, I love each pair of earbuds in them. 1. Nicehck NX8 This is a pair of earbuds with a very balanced sound and warm sound, although the extreme high frequency is slightly less extensible, but it has a very comfortable fit, and I can wear it all day. It is mainly used to listen to popular music. 2. TRUTHEAR NOVA, also a very well-balanced earbud, with a tuning curve that matches the Harman 2019 very well, the only drawback for me is that the cavity of the headphones is too large, which will be a little uncomfortable to wear for a long time. 3. AKG N5005, I'm a huge fan of AKG, I like its sound separation, although the midrange vocals are a little far away, but this is one of my favorite earbuds, I usually like to wear it to listen to some classical and jazz music. 4. AKG K3003i, one of AKG's most classic earbuds, the sound is also very balanced, sorry I only had it recently, I haven't had time to taste it yet. 5. QDC FOLK, QDC folk tuning style earbuds, its high and low frequencies are relatively average, but it has a very comfortable mid-range vocal, this is my favorite vocal earbuds. 6. QDC V3 II, QDC three-moving iron unit earbuds, this is the beginning of my start playing wired headphones, although limited by the characteristics of the moving iron unit, his low-frequency volume is relatively small, and the malleability of high-frequency is also average. I usually use it with the QDC TWX Bluetooth adapter, so this is the pair of earbuds I usually wear the most. 7. NF AUDIO NM+, this is a more monitor-style earbud, three-band balanced, but it may be a bit too exciting for me personally, so I usually use it less. 8. TRUTHEAR GATE & TANCHJIM BUNNY, These two pairs of earbuds are definitely the most cost-effective earbuds in the $15 level, the sound is very balanced, I have recommended these two pairs of earbuds to many friends, and they all like them very much.

I picked up a set after watching all the reviews. I only have KE cadenza and AKG N5005 (two sets because I liked them so much).
