I agree on the R6 being great IEMs for gaming. I also tested them with CoD: Mobile, they're great! https://preview.redd.it/yuwyuktj6m1f1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bbcdbc0d3f7d7801bdf308e3df074ffe2f1b83d
r/iems • ARTTI R6 vs Castor Pro (for gaming) ->I’ve been testing these 2 iem’s for the past month and I think I prefer the Artti R6 for Gaming and Castor Pros for music, the Artti r6 are much cheaper aswell, I usually see them under $10! Although the sound quality is much more “basic” or natural on Artti r6 I think that’s the reason why it’s better for gaming. Some sounds can be way too sharp if the volume is too loud, like gun shots can be too sharp at times I gotta turn the volume down a bit and it usually solves that. The castor pros on the other hand feel much more premium and with the tuning switches, you can tune it to your preference. The castor pros sound very good but in my opinion they can be a bit too quiet for fps gaming. I would say they’re the opposite of the R6 and sound much more warm. kind of muffled/quiet when playing fps games and I gotta try a bit harder to listen for footsteps. This is just my observations so far but I will continue testing. Again, this is just my opinion, I’m new to IEM’s so if my explanation sounds funny I’m sorry 😆 I will be purchasing a DAC soon and testing them again to see if I notice any changes. I know that a DAC is almost a must for IEM’s, so this is probably not the most accurate comparison.
r/iems • ARTTI R6 vs Castor Pro (for gaming) ->My fellow budget connoisseur lol. EDX Pro 2 just took the title for “Best Bassy Set under $20” for me. If they tune this driver neutral the Bunny is gonna start sweating.
r/iems • I got a KZ EDX Pro 2. I like it. ->Lol, EDX Pro 2 takes the technical performance crown. I still like the tuning of the R6 a bit better.
r/iems • I got a KZ EDX Pro 2. I like it. ->I'd say the cheaper and more comfortable the better. There are some really good options in the $10-$30 range. I've personally enjoyed dozens of hours in PUBG with the KZ ZVX, Moondrop Chu 2, and Artti R6. My favorite ever were my IE300 from Sennheiser but those could be considered more "premium." Their successor, the IE200s are on sale for $100 right now.
r/iems • Best IEMS for gaming? ->I just got an iem and sold it off in less than 2 hours. For me the negatives were - did not fit well in the ears - were not very unique in audio as expected around 2k range. The commercial tuned even one plus nord buds 2r sounded better to me with better tuning. - looked quite delicate to handle and manage which gave me constant fear to manage it. Never buying IEMs ever again. Will go for headphones wired instead around 2-3k dange. Even cosmic byte headphones at 800rs gave me better audio than 2k iem and better ear fitting. Not to hurt any Iem lovers here, this is my personal experience. I got Artti R6. And I loved the feel , sound and all but the above stands strong here.
r/headphonesindia • Suggest best wired iem under 1500 ->Even eartips dint work to help with that. Tried all of them and it still kept popping out and it was annoying. And about durability of Iem u must check iem subreddit. It's filled with them getting moisture issues and breaking by a single fall or cables going off. Somewhere I feel especially budget ones are more like collectibles and they definitely sound good, but not sooo different than rest. I bought a good one Artti R6 which has very good reviews with almost no negative reviews. The shape of these iems are not so ear friendly despite the hook design. They dont lock in even like tws in my ear.
r/headphonesindia • Suggest best wired iem under 1500 ->It's Artti R6. I get it. It works for you. This dint feel any issue with durability but as per design, it worried me and also fitting was not good for me. No iem can do that well unless designed like tws for me. The big blob kinda design is cool one but realised the ear hook does not help. And sound as shared it's nothing very wow for my ears. Just good very good like others and balance and tuning I have had better encounters personally.
r/headphonesindia • Suggest best wired iem under 1500 ->You are right there but u are assuming way too much of my taste here. I am not that kind of addicted bass lover here. What I want to talk about is the basic bass or midbass present in the strength of entire song or audio. A 2k iem, atleast mine did not have that despite good sound over-all. You can check this for yourself online, the size of the speaker, even if 15 years old from now, can create sound which is sounding way better or having a basic grip to it then many of our tiny earphones if not headphones. The audio tech has not yet advanced way too much for earphones sized speakers to give that wholistic grasp. Here I do not talk about clarity, that's subjective, it's about experience, not the high mids and lows. And my observation here? Well that's also a taste and I think it's debatable also. Tiny earphones have never hit or met that for me, best have done is tws for me coz it's not for the detailed audiophiles but a consumer, focusing on experience and depth not just all the little details. I tried boats bassheads edition and absolutely hated it. The boat stuff I am able to stick to is, one with a basic signature. And the size of speaker still really offering me a wholistic experience. A simple bluetooth speaker, well it sounds good nit because its base oriented ( it's not ) but it's actually designed to just be. And it's size does really make a dent in good experience. This has been experience with a 15 year old huge speaker I have in my home. And also this boat stone 180 or something. And my recent purchase of boat 650 pro. And other 2 purchases of cosmicbyte headphones (they had scroll wheel issue with is out of scope here). One plus nord buds 2r seemed to have tweaked a bit to offer some good clarity and its tuning is something I have preferred and many others more than airpods or IEMs. It's not a basic deduction to baas. I can't handle that. It's about the wholistic experience and the grip the lower mids and high basses hold in audio thays handled well by bugger size magnet speakers in general. Iems for me don't do this magic and also I have big time issues by its design. I hope you get my intention here, maybe there is a scientific word for this that I am trying to share. It's what you get when you play guitar strings without the wood body, and with the wood body, wood body adds to the sound making it wholistic and not just 1 dimentional and detailed.
r/headphonesindia • Suggest best wired iem under 1500 ->Alright.... Time to show off my age. **Sony EX70/71**. One of the first consumer grade IEM to show what IEM was like before IEM was in the hobby's consciousness. If you know, you know. This was one of the first consumer level IEMs available. This was 2003, and I got mind around 2004/5? **Shure E2C.** Around the same time, Shure released their IEM, the E-series to the general public. Slightly more darker tuning if I remember right, but the E2c was one of the first **professional IEM** that was available for the general public. I think I liked it better than the EX71, because it was more rounder and/or more decent sounding. Few years later, the **UE TripleFi** went on sale on Black Friday for $99. That one holds a special place in my heart. First 3x BA driver with detachable cable and was pretty good sound. Sony got my wallet back in the 2010s with their XBA series. **XBA-3** around 2012, 13? That one still remains one of my favorites and I still have them to this day. It just hits right for me. Then... KZ hit the market with their ATE, then ZS series.... and everything changed, in a very positive way. **ZS5** was the major milestone. And that was amazeballs. Multiple BA and DD drivers? For less than $50, let alone $100? Mindblowing. Was it neutral? No, not really. Was it controversial? Yes. But it sounded really good. And I think I got lucky getting the v1 rather than v2? But still. That was mindblowing. Chinese OEMs were now making stuff that sounded good as mainline brands, at fraction of the price! The new wave of $20 to $50 Chi-Fi IEMs impress me to this day. From the **Wan'er** to the **Moondrops** and maybe even the **KZ ZS12 Pro X** (non tuning). I'm going to jump on the cheap bandwagon with the **ARTTI R6 USB-C** version. $3.50? And it sounds better than what was considered state of the art 10 years ago?! Are you fucking kidding me? You newcomers have it immensely good. Before 2017, 16(?), you had to spend at least $50+ to get something worthwhile (SQ, detachable cables, etc) because that was the state of the market.
r/iems • Which IEM impressed you the most? ->It's not nearly as good as the KZ EDC Pro or the Artti R6 which are about the same price, but it's okay.
r/iems • Is KZ gale really that good? ->Those $3.50 IEMs. Do I think they sounded the best? Absolutely not. But, with some EQ and the price, damn impressive. The detachable 2 pin cable is worth more than 3.50. All that aside, I can't answer this without bias. I design and build IEMs and have for multiple companies. I didn't always care for what every company I worked for had to offer. Westone Audio, for example. They were clean but never really stood out to me in any way special or unique. It's also not uncommon for me to do some mild acoustic re-tuning by swapping filters or adjusting/adding/removing ports and vents. This is where my addiction to budget IEMs comes to play because sometimes the IEM unfortunately doesn't survive my tinkering. So, overall, I tend to be the most impressed by how much I can modify or adjust an IEM to suit my application for it. I've been through so many due to work that I struggle to fully recall all that I have tried. But overall, being impressed enough that the name stuck out, aren't due to how good I think they sound, but how good they can for what you got. The Kiwiears Cadenzas and those Artti R6 come to mind as far as what you can get for your investment. As for higher end products, there is a certain level of quality to be expected. So, it's not so much that I'm not impressed by them, but that they meet expectations, and I am listening for which aspects I enjoy and appreciate in their choice of tuning. Taste is subjective, and that is where a large variation in differences on high-end IEMs resides. This makes it so that there is less room for me to be "Impressed" because it would be dependent on how close to my preference in tuning it is and doesn't seem like a fair basis of other IEMs at equal quality with a less preferred tune.
