The Simgot EM6L gets recommended often. So does the Simgot SuperMix4. I have no personal experience with those as I don't like brightly tuned headphones/IEMs. My go-tos have been a heavily EQd set of KiwiEars Quintets. Just picked up the Binary Acoustics Dynaquattros and, despite their bassy tuning, they're surprising me. Was gaming with Truthear Hexa, and the KZ ZAX before that. The Hexa is pretty good for games, bit can be a little piercing with reloads and bullet shells in some games. The KZ ZAX was just a treble monster, and I disliked it. You could try to find a pair of used Mangird Tea 2s as their tuning works well for games without being piercing. A word of advice regarding driving these things... If you're going to try to use a controller to drive your IEMs, try to buy a unit that gets close to 32 ohms input impedance. Any less than that and you're running the risk of serious audio issues, depending on which units ypu buy. For reference, the Simgot SuperMix4 is a multidriver unit that has a planar driver in it. The input impedance of those units is 7.5 ohms. The impedance discrepancy between drivers is large. If you run them off of a controller or a PC front panel, you'll wind up with muffled treble.
r/inearfidelity • Best imaging IEM's for comp fps ->You and I are on the same boat, looking at the Dynaquattro and Fatfreq Deuce. I do have the MP145 and the DosCinco’s. Can’t speak on the other 3 you mentioned, but the DosCinco’s definitely have bass, specially compared to MP145’s
r/iems • Looking for a bass heavy/basshead set for $200 to $300. ->Is it really that hard to drive as most reviews I’ve seen say? Dynaquattro’s that is
r/iems • Looking for a bass heavy/basshead set for $200 to $300. ->Exactly, that’s why the Dynaquattro is my other choice. I’m a bass head so that and a wider soundstage with organic and clean/clear upper mids are what I’m after. So basically no BA’s or Planars
r/iems • Looking for a bass heavy/basshead set for $200 to $300. ->it hurt like shit the first few days and i got used to it. not saying custom eartips are a must, but i absolutely prefer it. the eartips it comes with is hard and with the addition of the huge nozzle it's sucks the first few days (though it seems I'm the only one having this issue). sound quality is absolutely amazing, crisp. the bass is really damn good, i came from a pretty bass heavy iem (zero 2) and it still sounds great. fun cable... i'm probably abusing it a bit.
r/iems • Share your Spring Sale Purchase!!! ->shozy p20's bass is really good too, but there's just something in the lower mids and treble are missing. i don't know what it is but it's a bit lacking. i was talking to someone and they said your ears need to get adjusted to planars but something around 220hz, that low A, is really weird. I don't hear it on any other set. Other than that it's a really good set- not msrp good, but good for the the 80 linsoul has it up. dynaquattro needs a bit more power to drive, and what i'm hearing contradicts the graphs, that sub bass isn't there as much as in the shozy p20s. I don't feel that rumble as much as the shozys actually, but everything else is really good, **very** smooth, and the highs on dynaquattro is super clear, violins sound amazing and picking out those upper instruments are super easy. accessories: get better eartips for the dynaquattro? they really hurt when i was using them initially. p20s do come with softer eartips so i'm quite happy with that. the cable is fine, personally I'm not a fan of thick cables but it is termination changeable. p20's cable is pretty cheap feeling and very light but it helps to minimize microphonics. taking my iems with me on a walk, cables tend to jump around and I'm able to hear the tapping of the cable. songs tested: Lorne Balfe - Academy Race Galdive - Prelude Ludwig Goransson - Can You Hear The Music also, xuanwu gate for -250? HOW???
r/iems • Share your Spring Sale Purchase!!! ->Had the Aether for a day, put 5 hours or so on them. I also have the MP145. As wonderful as the MP's are, the Aether bring a wonderfully tuned, well balanced listen to the table. I've not found a song they can't handle, they really are wonderful. Side grade, up grade, whatever you want to call it, they are worth the cash in my view. I also run Binary Dynaquattro, Ziigaat Cincotres, KE4, and the Aether sit nicely besides all of these.
r/iems • Kiwi Ears' new planar set is absolutely amazing : Kiwi Ears Aether early review ->I've been trying to decide between the S15, DaVinci, and Hype 2. I recently got the Dynaquattro, and even though it has the best bass I have ever experienced in an iem, I wish the treble was a little brighter. I'm worried the DaVinci will leave me feeling the same way.
r/inearfidelity • What is your best IEM at <$200? ->Hey got a request, I just got the dynaquattros and still not super impressed with the bass on it. Can you compare the deuce with this song specifically the drop part [40 sec in] on the dynaquattros, this part sounds bloaty? to me still. https://open.spotify.com/track/2zrXuTDncdQEEuqm4bPkkm?si=y53aC5HDR7ueMHYtZthdBQ
r/iems • Looking for a bass heavy/basshead set for $200 to $300. ->Actually looking for an intense subwoofer rumble, I tested an aful explorer and the dynaquattros and they didn’t match my simgot ew300 on that track. I’m not sure exactly how to describe the difference in the bass. The dyna and the aful sounded like a subwoofer when it rattles inside a car trunk and the simgots just had a clean thump!
