Yea I demoed them and loved the bass, the rest of the tuning was really wonky as your friend said.

I would say both the highs and mids were a bit forward (just sounded unnatural), to where I def could not listen to it for more than an hour, which defeats the purpose in my case, the bass however, was exactly what I was looking for. Factor in the price and that was an easy no from me. I also tried the Volur and Astrolith. Volur I was not impressed (middle module) and Astrolith was pretty good but the mids were thin compared to the maven II which was a deal breaker for me. Since then I have EQ'ed the maven's bass up and that has soothed my itch, but I think I want a set specialist for EDM.

I just received mine 3 days ago and I’m blown away.. the bass is incredible good one of the best I have heard… I have the Trifecta and the IE900. Astrolith is just in another level. 🀯 Great Goob Campfire πŸ”₯

Campfire Audio Trifecta & Astrolith. Both are ridiculously priced for mediocre performance.

Moondrop Variations for me. Sounded lifeless, wierd, grainny and compressed. I had very high expectations before hearing them, both my friend and I found them to be absolutely horrible. Used multiple tips and that didn't change a thing. I also didn't like 64 Audio Volur when I heard em, sounded peaky and brittle. Thieaudio Monarch MK3, CA Trifecta, Hidizs MP145, Letshuoer S15 and Truthear Nova on the other hand were amazing. To each his own, It's all about the music library, tastes and ear anatomy.

Interesting impressions, thanks for sharing these! I actually like the Astrolith, though I can see where you're coming from, treble-wise. As far as the Trifecta, I agree that $3k is a steep price for it--but its does, IMO, bring something to the table with its bass that I have yet to hear anywhere else. Hopefully Campfire brings the same tech used with that IEM to some of their lower-priced IEMs in the future. I highly suggest you give the Vision Ears VE10 a listen if you get a chance. It sounds like you'll really like it based on your other impresisons.
