The Trifecta was the IEM that made me realize what I want from my bass response, it was amazing. Unfortunately the rest of the tuning was not quite for me, but I'm always grateful that I got to listen to it and experience BASS.
I don't use IEMs for gaming. For music, my current go to are Campfire Trifecta. I just couldn't find anything cheaper that had the dynamic punch that I get from them. Also got them on a good sale(couldn't afford or bring myself to pay full price).
Had the pleasure to listen to them aswell, they are amazing. My favorite sound signature of all iems I tried (together with Fir Audio Xenon 6). Congratulations! they are very special.
Guys… I’ve been in this hobby since 2010. My first “serious” IEMs were the Sleek Audio SA6, then the Klipsch X5. Since then I’ve wandered into all sorts of rabbit holes and ended up with a pretty weird little collection: Sony Z1R, M9, N3, JVC FW10000, RHA CL2, Sennheiser IE800, and a handful of other oddballs. **Today I walked into Dr. Head Dubai, plugged in the Campfire Trifecta… and my entire worldview rebooted.** Yeah, yeah, I know they’re one of the most *polarizing* IEMs out there. I’ve seen the arguments. But the moment I hit play… **MY. GOD. THE. BASS.** It’s not just good bass. It’s “where has this been all my life” bass. It’s “I need a cigarette after the demo” bass. Easily the best low-end I’ve ever heard in an IEM. And the crazy thing? They’re light, comfy, and just *stupidly musical.* Forget soundstage, forget technicalities, forget all that audiophile harman curve nonsense. These things are straight-up **vibing machines.** If you’re into hip-hop, rap, R&B from the 80s/90s/00s - it’s a spiritual experience. They legit give *headphone-level* bass. You don’t just hear it, you **feel** it. I get why people clown on the price and why some think they shouldn’t even exist. But for a basshead like me? It’s a blessing from the audio gods. **Next steps (note to future self):** Sell some gear. Hunt down a good used pair. Because for the first time ever, something actually felt like *endgame* \- not because it’s expensive or flashy, but because it made me literally disappear into the music.
This! I know how pretentious it sounds, but they have a soul and I bet were hand tuned
Yes, that is the closest comparison, but XE6 are definitely more universal and closer to reference/harman curve tuning-wise and could be enjoyed by a wider audience with different music tasted. But what they don't have is that deep bass from 3 10mm DD that are inside the Trifectas. https://preview.redd.it/v61a339bsu4g1.jpeg?width=1856&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecece47b3b70ffaba4f12214930213f426ee8f3b
Once I got the Campfire Trifecta, I stopped craving more. It’s just perfect for me, and I don’t really use any other IEMs (M9, Z1R, FW10000, etc.). I’m even considering selling them because the Trifecta is the best IEM I’ve ever owned—hands down.
I spent some time with them a year ago, and even got to talk to Ken Ball (Campfire Founder) about the philosophy behind them. Great IEMs. And yes, polarizing. They ultimately weren't for me, but what they do well - they do better than anything else I've ever heard.
They absolutely were hand-tuned! And each one is handmade as well. Check out the different color combinations - I feel like if you're spending this much on a set it should be beautiful in addition to its sonic properties.
I just got the Campfire audio Trifecta, and paired with my tube amp, rock and orchestral music sound amazing. It's not the most technical IEM, but it is an incredibly immersive and engaging IEM. Edit: I just saw that your budget is up to around 300 euros, then these are way out of your price range. I'd recommend looking for a used Symphonium Audio Meteor.
I’ve owned a few kilobucks. I’d say the sweet spot is around $600 ish. I did recently get a trifecta, which is a very different kind of IEM than most with a very different kind of sound. I don’t know if it’s worth the price it commands but I do love them.
Campfire Audio Trifecta, the design is 👌
True, Campfire really do make some of the prettiest IEM, it's just the tuning of almost all of their IEM is mediocre at best.
I have it and love it. That said, I wouldn't recommend blind buying.
