KBear Rosefinch for sheer bass energy and fun sound (and also for being the cheapest of proper basshead sets) cvj vivian is good if you want a bit more vocal forward and a bit bigger "stage" but sometimes at the cost of how fun/rumbly the bass feels (and they are a bit more expensive)

Get CVJ Vivian it's like 15 bucks and has easily the best bass quantity and quality at the price range.

Well, I have a few that I'd be willing to recommend from my personal collection. Around the $100 - Moondrop Aria 2. This set, to me, is a set that I enjoy a good amount when it comes to causal listening. It has decent Subbass and enough mids to satisfy. I still think there's enough shimmer in the highs to balance things out. The shell is nice and sturdy and it has a clean and simple look to it. The accessories makes you feel like you bought a premium item as you get tips, a nice cable, and a nice carry case. Around $150 - Pula Anvil 114 Now, on the graph it may not seem too similar to the tuning target, I think the bone conductor carries. I do find it a little bothersome as the way a chew or certain vocal frequencies when I talk can shake the driver, but when it hits, it hits so good. You more so feel bass elements rather than hear it if the IEM sits in the correct spot against your ear. It can get pretty immersive. The accessories are lovely and there's a lot to love about this set. Some notable entries: Figured this wouldn't seem like upgrades since they're cheaper than the Truthears, but alas. I find myself using this over my $400 sets sometimes. Kiwi Ears Cadenza: It's cute and it's fun. Minimal distortion and decent quality. Fun to tip roll and cable swap. I bring this out when I don't want to risk taking out my more expensive sets. It's quality, it's affordable, it's thumbs up. Kinera Celeste Wyvern Abyss: Beautiful faceplate. Art. Bass can get muddy but it feels wonderful. I remember my face lighting up as I remember I only spent around *$20* for something that sounded that fun. CVJ Vivian: This one is more new to my collection but I've been reviewing it for a while now and I cannot get it out of my head. I'm surprised by how wide it sounds on top of the Subbass rumble I get on this thing. It's crazy to me.

depends on what you like tuning wise. honestly after hearing the cvj vivians, I'm perfectly contempt with it even though I have more expensive headphones and iems. yeah those more expensive ones are better, but I wouldn't say it justifies the price increase.

it's pretty decent. especially if you like bass. maybe look elsewhere if you don't. for it's price, nothing to complain about really. I use them with a bluetooth adapter and I don't feel like I'm missing much compared to my other iems.

hello fellow kababayan safest option is the bunny cos of its flexibility with the eq's on the dsp version waner 2 if ure looking for a balanced tuning all rounder cvj vivian is basically the waner 2's but with more forward vocals and a punchier bass. only downside for me is it hurts my ears if its not positioned right (like if medyo slant siya) which sometimes happen during my commute (walk and lrt) dont get the chu 2's because the philippines can get humid af during the rainy/bagyo seasons

Hello. Thank you for your words. CCA Phoenix, CCZ BC01 Harmony and CVJ Vivian seem to me to have performance above their price and they will give you a lot of joy.

You can tell no one commenting has the cvj vivians. We have practically the same music taste, aside for me listening to a bit of hip hop too, and let me tell you cvj vivians are the best iems in this lineup for your usecase. It might even be my daily driver, overtaking some 100 dollar plus iems, just slap on a bit of a w shaped tuning on wavelet or whatever eq you use and your good to go

That's a good question. Not sure I have a fantastic one to rec. Defiant, Odyssey and Explorer all have some great aspects, but not just right. Even a CJV Vivian is better in some ways. MP145 might be as good or even better.

r/Earbuds β€’ How Technics AZ80 would compare to Truthear Hexa (iem) β†’
7 days ago

I own a pair of Hexa's and AZ80s. I've just quickly listened to them back to back to help draw a direct comparison. Note, my preference is for Electronic music with some indie, rock and an assortment of other genres thrown in, so I like both a punchy bass level but not at the expense of mid and treble, for versatility, and sometimes I'll switch sets for different genres. I've connected both to my S24 Ultra (don't have my DAP available right now), running Poweramp, with a somewhat bass boosted personalised EQ curve which suits my normal listening preferences. I want to add that irrespective of genre you'll absolutely 100% definitely want to EQ AZ80s because out of the box they are incredibly quiet and might sound flat, but they EQ really well. Overall, I think the Hexas sound quite a bit more detailed clearer than the AZ80's, especially in trebles, but the AZ80s are much punchier without being overbearing and more suited for electronic music. I prefer the Hexa's for anything that's not electronic or that doesn't require that low end snappiness, but they're not a million miles apart in audio quality. It took me a while to find wireless buds I was happy with. My general ranking is as follows (purely sound quality, with some additional comments thrown in) based on everything I own or have owned in the past 3-4 years: 1. Aful Explorer - these are the most versatile of the IEMs I own, my only critique is the lack of soundstage 2. CVJ Aria - these are underrated as I seldom see them here, but they're not far away from the Aful Explorer in performance, not quite as rumbly but a little more detailed 3. Truthear Hexa = Technics AZ80 4. CVJ Vivian - punch way above their weight in sound quality especially for electronic music. 5. Sennheiser MTW2 - sounded fantastic but broke, twice, so I could never recommend in good faith 6. Sony WF??X4 - a sound upgrade on the AirPods, a reliability downgrade (mine broke straight after warranty expired) 7. AirPods Pro 2 - these are just the worst sounding of the bunch I've tried. So hard to get a seal in my ear with and they just feel lifeless. You'd probably want to consider the AZ100's. I've not tested them personally but I understand they fix all the flaws with the AZ80s with significantly improved sound quality.
