Best single dynamic driver iem? Probably the Dita Ventura or the nightjar singularity.

The closest IEM to the soundstage + resolution of the HD800S is the Dita Ventura as it is a pure DD IEM plus semi-open back (vented) which is absolutely rare in this world.

Yeah, any IEM will get absolutely blown out of the water in positional audio if you compare it to any big boy headphone. Once your budget gets to the TOTL range, the difference is just immeasurable. The closest IEM that can get to rival them is the Dita Ventura because of the vented back to mimic the open-back nature of these headphones.

I've tested up to $4800 USD IEMs so far and it depends on yourself tbh. The Dita Ventura is the only IEM that almost made me tear up in a demo session, but I also don't feel like I needed something at that level, and I'm quite happy sticking to <800 USD IEMs. I still daily drive a $20 Bunny for commutes. I could totally see it being worth it to someone else though.

Not sure if I'd call it my favourite, but I am grateful that my first IEM was the KZ ZS10 Pro. Trained me to listen at lower volume levels or have my ears destroyed by peaky treble. Currently I run the Dita Ventura, I chose it because it's not the flashiest in sound or in looks, but has the kind of sound that is nuanced and gets better the longer I listen to it.

Tanchjim Nora, Dita Ventura. I like it simple but not too bland.

Dita Ventura. Not worth it, not because of the sound, but I swear they could've shaved 1000 USD off if they just didn't include such extravagant accessories. I did end up selling it off because I don't need a one and done and prefer multiple cheap IEMs.
