I am with you in a lot of these genres. A couple of weeks ago someone posted their testing thoughts on a few pairs I have owned some of which I have loved. One of my favorites the QUE was the one that didn’t do it for them. I was heartbroken. So I wanted to hear what they heard. I went through their playlist, and it immediately hit me. It was all pop songs with no real physical instrumentation. The QUE’s tuning loves a stringed instrument. For me, I don’t think there is a one and done. Too much variety! I think most could reach endgame for under 1k though with the QUE and the Rockies. Monarch MK3 is another I would suggest looking into if you have not already. I also recently picked up an Elysian Apostle 26 and am wildly impressed with the tuning and how everything is available at once. I am hearing things in tracks I have heard thousands of times at this point. Also it isn’t perfect but IEM ranking .com is a good aggregate of information. As well as someone else eluded to, we are more welcome at head fi than here sometimes. Good luck in the journey, and feel free to ping me on anything if you want!
I personally found my universal IEM that I didn’t expect to fall in love with is the Elysian Apostle….i can say I am really satisfied now
