Imho hell no. The deuces are the definition of "only bass" nothing else. To put it into perspective, it's like a car that was built for top speed. It can't turn it can't accelerate but ut sure can hit a high top speed. It's an absolute one trick pony that did not take into consideration tor any other parts that a person might enjoy for music. That and their QC issues are one of the worst hence why I also do not recommend them

r/iemsMy bass-head IEM for rock/metal journey.

Listed from cheapest to most expensive: CVJ Luki KB Ears Rosefinch 7hz Legato 7hz Diablo Fatfreq Deuce TSMR Armor TLDR winner: TSMR Armour So I've been on the hunt for an IEM that works well for metal with thunderous bass that clearly defines kick drum from bass guitar. I'm treble sensitive and what would probably be considered an extreme bass-head in this community, so my opinions will probably only be valid for a small selection of you but hopefully this helps someone. Impressions (favourite to least favourite) without any EQ: Armor: does everything right for my ears. The only IEM that I haven't felt the need to touch EQ. Kick and bass guitar are balanced wonderfully and a really pleasant warm sound signature without fatiguing highs yet still sounds clear and transparent. Is an absolute monster if you plug in to the deuces impedance adaptor. Diablo: Similar thoughts to the Armor. Less sub bass than the armour but has fantastic midbass punch thanks to the planar. Also a pleasant warm signature though the slightly boosted uppermid/high presentation makes me slightly prefer the Armor. Close contest though! Deuce: lots of sub bass but in stock form without EQ the lack of midbass makes it sound thinner and more brittle than the other two above when listening to rock and metal. Highs are a bit harsh for my ears without the midbass to smooth it out. This pair sounds fantastic for genres I don't really listen to much though - think any music that's sub bass heavy - R&B, hip-hop etc. With EQ the deuce can be made to work well for rock and has the largest quantity of sub bass of the others, so its still a set I enjoy using depending on my mood. This pair made me decide to not try Martilos as they seem to have a similar tuning looking at graphs and reviews. Legato: plenty of sub and mid bass but lacking some definition between kick and bass guitar. Upper frequencies are a mixed bag: a little muffled/veiled yet also has some sibilance. Probably the one set I wouldn't recommend as it sits in an odd price bracket where it's just outside of 'cheap' where you get the value for money recommendation yet just a little below the midrange bracket which are a significant step up. Rosefinch: similar to legato - less veiled but has a very irritating fatiguing spike at around 8k that kills this pair for me. With EQ these turn in to quite a good value for money bass-head pair though. These are my knock around pair for travel, workout etc. This pair with a cheap peq dongle like the JA11 would be my budget conscious recommendation. Luki: just a super cheap $10 set to test out bone conduction. Not enough sub bass and wonky tuning. EQing helps a little but still sounds cheap. However I love the way it made bass guitar sound in some tracks - assuming that's the BCD. Makes me want to try something like the Penon Archangel but for now I'm satisfied with the Armor and not sure I want to push this hobby in to the high price bracket when I have nowhere in my hometown to 'try before you buy' (Brisbane).

Hi guys, a few months ago I saw an interesting format in the watches sub and I decided to take inspiration from it. I recorded the hours of my IEMs used in the last 2 months, in total I stopped at just over 400 hours, it was an interesting experiment especially to understand what I can sell and what is not used. I'll leave you some impressions and comments:) * Punch audio Martilo: In the end they were my most used between Work, Music, Gym and Gaming. I must say that lately I listen to a lot of phonk * Tangzu Tianpeng: They replaced my Bajie, excellent quality and accessories for more refined listening at home or excellent for gaming * Tanchjim Force: They are becoming my favorites, already heard at various fairs and lent by a friend, excellent aesthetic and design, sound similar to my beloved Meteor, but they are less goofy and therefore I can also wear them on trains or at work, I will definitely increase the hours * Moondrop Kadenz: Great all-rounders, simply top, but I'm using the Forces more for a similar sound. They're perfect for work. * Moondrop Meteor: Among my favorite flagships, but I'm more comfortable with the Tanchjim as they are more discreet, I listen to the Meteor at home in peace * Fatfreq Deuce: They were the most used for the same reasons as the Martilo, but I prefer the Punch Audio for design and comfort. The bass is perfect in both.

I have the fatfreq deuce and love them. They are really bassy that i like. Sub bass. And the bass is very controlled doesnt cross the low mids. And becuase of this huge bass the soundstage sounds huge. They are just really fun. And i totally recommend them.

I got the Kiwi Ears Punch last year and I have been loving them since! Great bass, both mid and sub bass, also great separation! I listen to mostly metal so they get the job done!  I had the ISN Neo 5s, I liked them alot especially vocals but they really only shined for music like rap/hip hop which i dont really listen to. Couldn't handle faster music like metal.  Also had the Deuces but the lack of midbass was a big flaw for me! They kicked ass for drum and bass and tech house though which are genres I also dabble in every now and then

Try the Kiwi Ears x HBB Punch if you really like bass. Personally I like the Punch more then the Deuce tbf for bass, feels like it's more organized. But if you can, demo them at a local audio store or go to a local audio hangout event and try them out.

then deuce if you're a basshead. Odyssey is very lax and you can listen to it for hours without fatigue, you'd appreciate it more after hours of long listening sessions, I only listened to it for like 30 minutes and can tell it's very nice. But since you wanna avoid Ziigat, just grab the Deuce or P7, no opinion on the grit because haven't tried them.

The Deuce has massive sub-bass but pretty meh in mid-bass, so you're gonna get rumble but not too much thump. I believe endgame for most bassheads is the Kiwi x HBB Punch, it's awesome but may be out of your budget. It actually is pretty well balanced, even though you're getting large amounts of mid-bass and sub-bass. There's good vocal clarity due to branded Knowles BAs, along with shimmery highs due to branded Sonion ESTs. It's actually good value considering its driver configuration, despite being a bit pricey.
