Imo I like the Punch better than the Scarlet because it can do more genres, while still maintaining that super fun bass. Also, on the Scarlet, the vocals can sometimes distort because the sub-bass, but there is no problems like that on the Punch.
r/iems • kiwi ears x hbb punch vs other bass-heads IEMs ->I have a 2 18 wall. Ive looked for everything outside of beats for years and have come up short. Iems dont come close but you may want to look at the fatfreq x hbb deuce, kiwi x hbb punch, and theres a guy named phil who makes a "philphone", an open back with bass ($700ish). There's also fatfreq scarlett and maestro mini. Otherwise the budget option is a truthear zero red with EQ. I just match my zero red to a deuce for my portable bass fix. The headphone with the most bass is discontinued, a jvc sz-2000. With heavy eq it can vibrate a sheet of paper. Actually look at skullcandy crusher evos. Consumerism sound, probably bloated bass but lots of it.
r/headphones • I wanna rattle my brain with bass. Help please? ->Fatfreq Scarlet or fatfraq deuce. I have Gemini 2s as well. Ive listeneto the scarlet which has crazy deep 4 12s type bass. I have the deuces and its more balanced still a lot of bass but a good balance of mids and highs, like 2 10s. Ive heard that in the higher end spectrum to look at the ThieAudio Origin or the Dita Audio Mecha. Both are in $800 range but supposed to excellent bass.
r/iems • Best IEMs for heavy Sub bass without major sacrifices ->Scarlets if you eq all the way up on the bass, it be all bass that would overwhelm the music. I think it would be too much. The Geminis using the poweramp gemini preset, I think sounds the best because the music is still clean while the bass hits hard. Scarlets bass is more thumping which I think would really cover up the rest of the spectrum. Crinicle has some good presets for the scarlets on poweramp you could try.
r/iems • Best IEMs for heavy Sub bass without major sacrifices ->Ew300, fatfreq scarlet mini, explorers, aethers
r/iems • "IEMs for gaming", let's be real. ->Hello everybody, I own Fatfreq Scarlet and wanted to have something of the kind for a change. Will hbb punch can compete with Scarlet?
r/iems • kiwi ears x hbb punch vs other bass-heads IEMs ->Yeah, I guess nothing will be compared to Scarlet at moment. But I still want something bassy. May be not that much but with a perfect kick/punch.
r/iems • kiwi ears x hbb punch vs other bass-heads IEMs ->I am surprised nobody mentioned FatFreq Scarlet Mini Universals. I am not sure if they are in the same price bracket but for the moment there are no competitors for bass-heads in the IEMs market. By far. They sound just divine.
r/iems • Are the Kiwi Ears x HBB Punch the best for someone who likes a more bassy sound with some treble and low mids while still sounding clear and not muddy? ->The Scarlet Mini sounds outright absurd. Even for bass heads it might bring too much bass. I'd recommend you go with the Origin which still has a ton of bass, but is more well rounded.
r/iems • Bass IEMs Fatfreq Scarlet Mini vs. Thieaudio Origin ->I’m not a fan of bass, so I didn’t like it that much. It is certainly unique as I think it’s the bassiest IEM on the market right now, but I’d consider it more of a novelty than something you actually want to listen to often.
r/iems • Bass IEMs Fatfreq Scarlet Mini vs. Thieaudio Origin ->Moondrop x Crinacle dusk from the analog jack are in a similar ballpark with a little more slam, a little bit more detailed, and a slightly better soundstage, but at the loss of sounding as immediately engaging. I still need to hear the Hype 4, they may be what you want, but I just skipped that and bought a FATfreq Scarlet Mini as my bass head set and use the P5 for more natural listening.
r/iems • New Gear Alert: Aful Performer 5 🎧 ->With what you currently own I would say as an upgrade but more of the same and improved I would say go for the Symphonium Titan. I own everything on the second list barring the Flipears Legion(Which I'm looking to grab depending on how it compares to the Aegis). But I would say Titan has some of the best bass texture in the game without sacrificing too much from the other frequencies. I will say at least for me though Titans are very tip dependent and with their short nozzle can be a slightly hard to find the perfect tips for them. If you want even more bass quantity though the Scarlet Mini is definitely worth it still one of my favorites because I'm a bass degenerate.
r/iems • Best highend basshead ->IMO the scarlet is an ultimate basshead set. The bass is unrivaled
r/iems • Bass IEMs Fatfreq Scarlet Mini vs. Thieaudio Origin ->Scarlet mini by far. Love the bass. Ive only tried 6 iems so far : arete(returned but were fine), tea pro(returned too big for me), thieaudio origin(returned also too big), duece(returned not enough bass) 64 audio u4s(is my all arounder and used for gaming), and fatfreq scarlet mini(my favorite for music) Dac: currently using btr17 but plan on returning as I ordered a hiby r4. In the past I used a fio k3 for my open backs.
r/iems • What is your Favorite IEM /DAC? ->Both are great picks, but the Scarlet Mini really shines if you’re looking for that visceral, thumpy bass. It delivers a punchy, lively sound that’s perfect for modern rap, hip-hop, and heavy metal. While the Origin has its strengths, the Scarlet Mini’s bass-forward tuning is hard to beat for sheer fun and energy!
r/iems • Bass IEMs Fatfreq Scarlet Mini vs. Thieaudio Origin ->The Scarlet is in a league of its own when it comes to sub-bass rumble and overall bass dominance. The Punch offers a fun, energetic low end with good texture, but it leans more balanced in comparison. If you're looking for something different but still bass-heavy, the Punch is a good pick, but if you crave that earth shaking bass, the Scarlet still reigns supreme.
r/iems • kiwi ears x hbb punch vs other bass-heads IEMs ->Personally, I believe FATFreq is the best for bassheads, but that depends on if you are willing to stretch your budget. Anyway, I think in your budget you can check out the Moondrop KXXS or the TRN V90. Hope you find the best one for you :)
r/inearfidelity • Looking for bass heavy IEM under $150 ->FatFreq nails it with that full, rich bass without overpowering everything else. The Scarlet Mini might be just what you’re after for big sound across all genres!
r/iems • IEM advice for basshead ->Trust me, I've tried 😆 Different sources, pEQ on equalizer apo, gEQ on Sony DAP, Pentaconn coreir brass eartips, cable swap (yeah, I know it's snake-oil 😜) etc. I appreciate what the Pilgrim can do (beautiful mids and treble), but it just doesn't get as much use after the honeymoon period for me. It's still good value for the money imo, especially for someone who wants this sound signature. tbf my other sets are absolute bass monsters, so I am probably just conditioned for way too much bass (Empire Ears Legend X, FatFreq Scarlet Mini, Noble XM-1, Mest Mk2 - my least bassy set after the Pilgrim).
r/inearfidelity • Just got the Elysian Pilgrim a few days ago, and… ->I own the MEST 2s and FATfreq Scarlet Mini and the MEST has very lean bass if you're a basshead. Scarlet Mini has just enough bass but nothing I've ever heard comes close to it without a bass shelf EQ
