FiiO - FD3 Pro

I really like them. They sound fun, look gorgeous and have nice accessories, and it's all for 40 bucks! Soundwise, I dare to say they're better than my Fiio FD3. Not as technical, but they give more pleasure from listening

Have been eyeing the t10 for its size but got scared of planars after owning the moondrop stellaris lol. Jk. I just found the bass slam I was missing in stellaris in the fiio fd3

Welcome to the wired iem community dude it's a really good time. You've definitely made a really choice with your first wired iems it takes a while to find your perfect tuning but it'll happen at some point. It's good to see you done your research instead of blind buying. I went for moondrop chu 2s as my first iems personally i love the look of my chu 2 which ive had for 8 months since then I've built a humble collection of ten pairs of iems ranging from £19 for mt chu 2s all the way to my mangird tea pros at £315 which were gifted to me. Out of my collection my favourites are my juzear defiant z iems and my hidizs ms2 pro. That being said i took delivery of a pair of fiio fd3 that have grown on me so much so soon they sound awesome using my fiio ka15 dac amp and the fiio control app and the built in ten band peq. I can tell that you know what you want but you won't be blind buying. There is some amazing iem tech for very affordable prices. I'm a sucker for liking the look of really good looking iems dacs amps daps even all the way down to cables and leads which are probably completely overkill for my needs but there's nothing I regret buying Will I continue to buy more iems and related tech that's a given lol. Generally I use fiio iems. I have a digital audio player running flac. On the go, I use their bluetooth utws3 blutooth amps with cheaper fd3 iem. With all the outside noise I don’t need full spec. There is decent thump. For more critical listening I use fh7 wired Iems. I enjoy them both. With a good eq you should be able to find your sound.

I dont even know why i bought them. I thought the more you pay, the more you get out of it. My 30$ IEMs are pretty similar to my 200$ ones. I returned my 200$ one and am now using the 30$ one. Is anyone else in the same boat? Unless there is an IEM that is actually worth 200$? For reference I've tried Quintet Kiwi ears (200$~), fiio fd3 (150-200$) and the linsoul QKZ x HBB (30$) What actually constitutes them being so pricey? I'm not a audiophile but how can your ears tell such a significant difference that it's worth paying that much more money? I am willing to pay for more, but what's really worth it?
