i am not sure if it is open... i think the driver is sealed, the shell has a small dot i will say that but i think it is just to release pressure it might get not for the driver But ignoring everything, sound wise, bass is okay it is kinda rumbly it is not slow, mids sound natural, and trebel is really safe in my humble opinion, it is a comfortable warm sounding thing to me And to play games i think it is really nice, comfortable for most people sound is simply comfortable xddd, image and soundstage wise maybe not as good but i think it is alright you know haha u/fl1ck240 i hope you don't mind the tag but check the gk kunten i think you can't mess up with it and you can find it in alibaba for 5 dollars, dirt cheap, (take your time to investigate and that, some sellers let you buy it as it was aliexpress, in other words really easy) Chu ii i think is no mistake and the size of that thing looks nice (haven't tried it)
gk kuntens. can be found <15$ with sound quality that punches to 50$ to many ears. widely appealing allrounder so budget + soundwise they're a good safe blind buy 7hz zero 2 - if the kuntens aren't available, safe all rounder as well wan'er 2 or tanchjim bunny - if you want vocals to shine kz duonic - if you love alot of bass
gk kuntens are what you want <30$
GK Kunten +KZ AE 01 order on Aliexpress. It's gonna cost around 25 euros and you have bluetooth portability for the gym. You can stretch to KZ AN 01 if you want LDAC + gaming mode 40ms latency (works great). it's still gonna cost you less than 30 if you use Aliexpress coins/ fist time buyer discount. I'm using my gk kunten daily at the gym and no issue so far. Unless you sweat like crazy
Kuntens are better than chu 2, though.
Kuntens have similar bass and mids, but less shouty vocals. It also sounds more open due to a semi-open back venting, and having a driver from a much more expensive iem. The only time I'd recommend the chu is if you have smaller ears. https://preview.redd.it/cv243yasmygg1.jpeg?width=1220&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6cc4cd31202f58b21818154d269821be35d68117
These were my first set and I loved them after 5 minutes. LOVED them. I still do. I own other cheaper sets which I use, Gl Kunten and the Kiwi Ear Belle but the Explorers are definitely my favourites. They are just so easy to lose yourself into. I recently listened to Dave Mathew’s band and they just sound exquisite. The violins and drums and guitars and bass just dancing through my ears, then the horns and keys start to emerge making me smile all over again.
The GK Kuntens rn with the Tin Hifiman T3 cable. If I want to listen to a very anticipated album, I swap to my Tangzu Yi Xuanjis
GK Kunten Type C, but u have to EQ it in Poweramp Equalizer App to suit it more for Pop. Go for it blindly, it really goes well with EQ
GK Kunten Type C is best
kz duonic from aliexpress is around that, also people like tangzu wan'er 2, or you can try cheap kz kunten, good budget iems (around 10$ from aliexpress)
