Check out my full review of the Hidizs MK12 X DucBloke, here: https://mobileaudiophile.com/in-ear-earphones-iem-iems-reviews/hidizs-mk12-x-ducbloke-review-loves-take/ HIDIZS MK12 X DUCBLOKE REVIEW -$259 -12mm 91% Magnesium single DD What is up everyone, at the link above is my full review of the latest iem from Hidizs named the Hidizs MK12 X DucBloke which happens to be a special edition set in collaboration with YouTube personality DucBloke. The MK12 X is most certainly a very bold iem in every way that you can think of. Not to mention its candy red exterior and matching cable which makes for a seriously cool aesthetic. Of course, the MK12 X also happens to be the newest iem in the MK12 series. Furthermore, the MK12 X uses the exact same shell design, material, build, dimensions, as well as the same driver as the OG MK12 Turris. Honestly, this set is built like a tank folks, and it has that same dope design language that the other two in the series had. The difference here is the DucBloke tuning. I should also add that the MK12 X also comes with DucBloke's personally created PEQ settings so that you can dial in the sound a bit more. Especially useful with the Hidizs AP80 Pro Max, UAPP and some other notable Parametric Equalizers. The sound of this set leans heavily to the left with a big bass infusion (10-15 db's depending on whose graph you are reading) which cascades across the entire mix adding warmth, weight, and richness. Note weight carries substance, notes are dense, yet the driver has some speed, which is a nice mix. The bass is big, it's textured, it digs very deep, and it can flat-out slam y'all. Next it has a very milky, very moist, and very viscous midrange which is great for vocalists, not too recessed, never shouty either. Just pleasant and very-very musically gifted. The treble is relaxed, easy going, never sharp, but has some very nice extension into the upper treble. Across the board the MK12 X carries tighter transients making use of the MK12 series 91% Magnesium driver creating a sound which is fairly clean for such a weighted, warmed, and musically tilted tuning. Of course, nobody is picking this set up for its detail retrieval or instrument separation abilities. Granted, they are fantastic for such a warm and thick sound, but nowhere near what any analytical lovers would crave. Without question this set is musicality-first all the way. I will say, the soundstage is actually quite great with decent width, solid height, and very nice depth of field. Anyways, I have so much more to add about this set and I try to do just that within my review. I also added in two comparisons as well which I hope helps. At any rate, if you'd like to learn a bit more about this bass heavy, musically talented, organic, and earthy set then go ahead and check out my review, if you'd like. Or, just have a great day/night wherever you are. Have fun with your tunes everyone. Comparisons: Hidizs MK12 Turris, Dunu X Koto Ito 🔥 MK12 X Pros 🔥 -Build Quality is once again stellar in this latest MK12 variant -Also, the same solid design & aesthetic -The MK12 X is a very comfy set for me -The MK12 X’s 91% Magnesium DD is fantastic -Nice accessory haul (Divinus eartips, solid carrying case, great color matching cable). -Musical and engaging presentation perfect for bass-driven genres -Smoothly rendered warm & analog tuning. Very much organic, earthy, and definitely bassy. -Richly flavored across the board with thick note weight… everywhere -Bass digs very deep with a palpable slam. A very fun bass, very rigid & dense -Milky midrange, very melodic, and never sharp -Easy going and relaxed treble means easy going and relaxed listening experience -Imaging is well done -Soundstage is holographic with nice width, good height, and great depth of field. -Comes with DucBloke’s very own PEQ profiles made specially for the MK12 X 👎 MK12 X Cons 👎 -Fit may be troubling for some folks (decently sized set) -Bass will be too emphasized for many listeners, can veil at times -Not everyone wants a very warm, thick, and colored sound -Not a technical beast. Don’t expect top shelf details & separation. Good for the tuning. -Treble is very laid back (intentionally) and relaxed on the base tuning so definitely not for analytical listeners, or anyone who enjoys some brilliance up top -This is more of a side-grade variant to the OG MK12 and not considered an upgrade. The differences are too great tonally Check out my full review of the Hidizs MK12 X DucBloke, here: https://mobileaudiophile.com/in-ear-earphones-iem-iems-reviews/hidizs-mk12-x-ducbloke-review-loves-take/

I've heard this a lot over the course of the last few weeks. People who would've liked this set with a greater bass response, warmer, even smoother. I actually like the DucBloke best as it is, no PEQ. Out-of-the-box it is definitely tuned differently.

I've had the same idea, i found the red ones by Ducbloke a bit too expensive for my budget. And i like the blue ones more. I also wanted to try out the other nozzles, wich are not included in the Red Set by Ducbloke. So i went for those, eventually got a blue matching cable aswell but still paid under 180$ . I'm used to use his PEQ presets anyway, i'm happy with the set i have, with his PEQ . https://preview.redd.it/wh74mqhw4xkg1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=841410e6fb459a38557dd360a66edaf4bdf8dba9

I listen mostly to techno and trance, but also do like some drum'n'bass every now and then. I do like some good bass rumble. I have the martilo and kiwi punch. I also can recommend the hidizs MK12 with red tips, these have better mids for more melodic music with also good punchy bass. If you don't mind alot of details in the highs with also some good bass, have a look at the Cklvx Ck2v. Another one good all rounder for electronic music styles is the juzear 61t. From all above I prefer the Kiwi hbb punch, if I want deep sub bass with smooth mids and highs. For a proper Dac, get the Onix Alpha xl1, and if you want a very powerfull cheap one, the venture electronics devastator is my preferred simple wired dac. They power all the above iem's without compromise.

TRN Shell is the king of this! It embarrasses IEMs that cost 5x as much. Sounds great too! CVJ Neko- I'm looking for a vibrant gold cable, and for $25 I can get this. It's even modular! Hidisz mk12 Ducbloke - I want a bright red cable, and I want Divinus Velvet (I think it's more expensive though so maybe not a great deal) Tangzu Wan'er is the default answer - Most people (including me) bought it because it's the same price as Tangzu Sancais on their own. And the new Red one comes with He Sonic tips, which are GREAT.

Unfortunately I only loaned one! Although I'm currently loaning the actual bright Red Ducbloke version. It's great! I wish I could have tried them at the same time because it's hard to say which I like more.

Yeah I have for both, weirdly on the Red one, the PEQs barely made a difference for me.

As you're new, it's hard not to fall for IEM marketing hype cycles. Every month, there's a new "best ever" IEM. Tons of reviews come out saying this *is* it. Then it arrives. "Is that it?"- That was my first reaction to the Martilo. It's great, but it was nowhere near as bassy as everyone said. Months later, I still want more punchy bass. I stumble one I'd never heard of, released months ago with barely any hype- the TSMR Armor. It's got nowhere near the same marketing budget but the few reviews I find compared it to the Martilo and said it's punchier, a more impactful bass. I take a punt. It arrives. No hype. I'm not expecting much.... IT IS AWESOME. The lesson: If this is a big purchase for you, wait a while before buying. Nobody has heard the Portazo yet. It might be amazing. It might be crap. But the real verdict is if people are still talking about it after 2 months. Final final point- I listen to DnB quite a lot. Weirdly, I enjoy it most on *not* total Basshead IEMs. For example the Hidisz mk12- is an absolute DnB beast, it's so fun and punchy and energetic. On paper, the Martilo should work best with DnB, it has tons of sub-bass, but it feels a bit dry and dull in comparison.

Chat GPT doesn't know shit about IEMs. Imo, there's too many, and too similar. The most unique choice is the Diablo... To the delicate ears of our favourite Singaporean IEM God that might be a lot of bass, but there's more bass out there. The others kinda just blend together... If your goal is to experience every kind of sound and weird driver combination there is, go much further. Buy an all BA set. Buy a bass head set. Buy a tribrid. Buy a KZ Decet with 5 DDs squeezed in each side. Buy a bone conduction set- "subtle" options that boost the soundstage a bit, or "obvious vibration" sets like the Kiwi Ears Etude, Kbear03/02. Buy a treble head set. Buy something off Penon. Buy a desktop amp and see if that makes a difference or not to you. For what it's worth, I really love the MK12, and I think the MP145 is a much better IEM than the Mp143 (which is fine but a bit boring) If your goal is quality... You can afford a couple of AMAZING sets instead of 15 good ones.

Isn H60... I love the mk12, and the H60 has an even more fun engaging tuning- probably my favourite IEM. Possibly the EBC80 if you have a lot to spend (I've not heard it but I've read it's the next level H60)

If you plan on this being your only IEM, and you can afford it, I'd recommend blowing out your budget even more and getting a TSMR Armor (I got it for $200 on sale) It really is an amazing IEM that has huge bass but also hits everything else you want. I recommend it a lot here, and I've had various messages and comments from people thanking me because they love it. Absolutely worth it as a one-and-done IEM. If not, my two favourites in your range are both Hidisz - Mp145 and mk12. Both really blew me away and have a really fun addictive tuning that matches what you're looking for. There's also a bright red Ducbloke edition of the mk12 that cranks the bass (I've not heard it) QoA Adonis New is a bassy relaxed option, I don't think it's as technical as the others but more importantly it is purple and tiny so very easy to listen all day.

... anything is an upgrade haha. WARNING- These are my dumbass opinions with my dumbass ears. You may hate, love, or be indifferent if you buy one. Artti T10 is my first love and my $50 pick forever. Hidisz MP145 beat it and become my favourite planar. Hidisz MK12 shocked me with how much I liked it because I assumed single DDs were crap. I *Think* I like it more than the MP145, but it's pretty close. $250- TSMR Armor. I shill the Armor all day long and convinced a bunch of people here to buy one, but THANKFULLY I've had plenty of messages saying they loved it. My most successful recommendation by far. Isn H60 was next. Day 1... "This isn't great" Day 2... "This is the best thing I've ever heard" A unique, bombastic fun huge addictive sound I can't get enough of. My number 1 IEM: QoA Martini. I was lucky enough to borrow this. It's way more than I'd pay. Day 1... "This isn't worth the price at all" Funnily enough, this was as I was having my love affair with the H60, so I didn't listen to the Martini again for weeks! The next time I did "WTF. *This* is the best thing I've ever heard." It's very similar to the H60... Huuuge fun soulful, but with better clarity and resolution. Would I recommend it for its RRP? Probably not. I am not in that income range. The H60 is 90% there. But holy shit I love it. I asked the owner if he'd sell it, and got an insane deal. Suuuuuper lucky.

**Massively overrated with absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever:** Truthear Zero Red **Massively overrated as a good beginner IEM because it's divisive as hell** Truthear Hexa (Excellent if you like neutral, but beginners are likely coming from mainstream TWS and want *some* bass please) **Overrated as the best Basshead set:** Punch Audio Martilo (still a great IEM, but NOT a Basshead set.) **Underrated:** QoA Martini, Hidisz mk12

It's *REALLY* good. I was surprised because I basically had no interest in single DDs, but this thing completely changed my mind. It's a really fun engaging sound, with really impressive soundstage and seperation (probably the best I've heard at this price). The higher up I go in the IEM world, it seems to be soundstage and seperation stand out most to me (currently the $600 QoA Martini and $800 Penon Archangel) so the mk12's soundstage really makes it impressive to me. The ISN H60 is one of my absolute favourites, and the mK12 is very similar. I'm currently borrowing the Ducbloke MK12, which has more bass. Unfortunately both were loaners so I've not heard the OG for months so can't compare, occasionally it gets bloated which I didn't think the OG did. Both are excellent

Hidisz mk12 or Hidisz MP145 are my personal favourites under $200 with metal shells.

AHH sorry I missed the AUD! If you just want to buy something no hassle- I'd say Hidisz MK12 or MP145 are awesome and my favourites under $200AUD. If you are willing to jump through some hoops on AliExpress I think you'd be able to get the Armor for $217AUD. Big sale at the moment and you can stack a bunch of things together. Maths: Price- $320AUD on sale (you might see a different price) AliExpress promo code SSAU30 gets $30 off= $290AUD Shopback- 17% cashback for new customers (Top cashback UK is 15% if you're not new) =$49. $290-$49 =$241 Team Ozbargain has 10% AliExpress cashback = $24. $241-$24 is $217 AUD (Look on Ozbargain for all this stuff)

I don't know if it's just you repeatedly mentioning it in different threads, or if it's multiple people, but I'm seeing the Slowflo mentioned more and more and it really tempts me! Maybe it's because I've tried hybrids at this price, but after I was shocked at how much I liked the Hidisz mk12, I'm really intrigued what an expensive single DD can do

< $50- KZ Decet / KZ Vibe X / KZ AM16 (F your Wan'ers and Chu 2s, this is KZ's world and you're just living in it) <$100- Artti T10 <$200- Hidisz MP145 or mk12 <$300- TSMR Armor <$400- ISN H60 or Sora <$500- QoA Martini >$500- Penon Archangel

Pricing is all over the place, for example: I got the Kunten for $5 and think it's a lot better than the standard $25 picks like the Wan'er, and various $25 KZ sets I've had (Vibe X, Duonic, AM16, Decet) are better than most $75 sets, and my $50 Artti T10 was just as good as my $150 Kiwi Ears Aether, and my $150 Hidisz mp145 and Mk12 are better than my $250 Punch Audio Martilo... Each price has 3 types - 1- Value kings 2- The average good IEM (the majority) 3- Overpriced And whether or not upgrading is worth it depends entirely on your bank balance! Plus, there's weird jumps too. I'd say $200 competes very well up to $400, which would imply there's not much improvement beyond that.., yet my $800 set (Archangel) is a VERY big, obvious improvement and you are engulfed in sound.

YEAH! I loaned it from a friend, but wasn't expecting much because "it's just a single DD". I was SHOCKED! It's such a fun engaging addictive sound which is so unique at the price. It completely changed my mind about single DDs! Upgrades- Do you have the OG or the Ducbloke one? If it's the OG, the ISN H60 is a direct upgrade imo- no idea what graphs say, but if we're talking that incredibly engaging, fun, big soundstage sound the H60 is SPECIAL- Probably the most fun IEM I have heard! If it's the Ducbloke one, ISN Sora. It gives up a bit of the H60 soundstage and insane fun, but it's probably the best bass I've heard (at least on par with my Archangel- possibly even better) It's big bass, but soooo clean and textured. The H60 gets compressed and low Res sometimes, whereas the Sora plays *everything* super clean. It's 85% of an Archangel.

Hi Jay, I bought MK12 based on DucBlooke's suggestion and I saw you also liked it with the red nozzle, if you still have MK12 please do yourself a favor and get PEQ from DucBloke, you might be blown away with how well it sounds as a basshead set.

I feel like I wrote similar post like 10 times, but here we go lol 1 CLEAN YOUR EARS, EW300 uses very fine mesh on its nozzle and it will clog if you neglect it. Do NOT dip it in IPA or anything similar when it gets clogged. Each nozzle consists of outer metal mesh, black elastic gasket and bottom black mesh (both meshes are separated by that gasket), if you dip it in IPA you will dissolve the glue and you will be left with separate parts. Simgot doesn't sell spare nozzles. Nozzles from Hidizs MK12 fit EW300 and to my ears MK12's red nozzles seem to sound very similar to EW300's gold ones. The length of Hidizs's nozzles is shorter though, so you won't be able to put in the tuning foams. Exact density of black material meshes is Silver nozzle: 460 density mesh, Gold nozzle: 550 density mesh. In case you do ruin them and will want to find some replacement parts on Aliexpress, or whatever. 2 I have tried countless eartips with this IEM, I have to get a deep seal with EW300 to get proper bass and most eartips don't work, or work for couple minutes and then the seal is broken. The first two eartips that did work well were Penon Orange (best sound) and Dunu S&S (best comfort for my ears, but for some people they are unusable). I don't use them with this IEM anymore, because I found two "better" options \-Divinus Velvet: IMHO the most balanced sound, great seal. I don't use it currently because my ears get irritated by this eartip, but that's just me. Still, Velvet was a groundbreaking discovery for this particular IEM, because it felt like I finally got the sound as intended by engineers consistently after owning EW300 for a while. If it wasn't for the irritation problem it would probably be my favorite for this IEM \-Final Type E: My favorite eartip these days in general. I use it on EW300 currently and I also use it on some of my other IEMs. I even bought two variety packs to try both black and clean versions, that's how much I like them. 3 If you get DSP or HBB versions be careful, because the black color is just paint and it can chip-off. I make sure left and right don't hit each other and I use this: https://preview.redd.it/4jslkx6r8r3h1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=0f8b759f50b1c68b261c77859e5a4595438bba35 4 Speaking of shells, try to keep them clean. The venting holes are tiny so don't let them get clogged. Try not to poke anything sharp into the venting holes, I did it once and I got freaked out because it sounded like the tuning changed, but I eventually realized I was just being paranoid lol. Still you can damage something on the inside. By the way, those "screws" are only cosmetics, in fact the face plate is just glued to the rest of the shell.

Ultimately it's all about enjoying the music and the most musical IEM I have (not the best mind you) is MK12. It dethroned Aful Explorer as my most beloved and musical set at the moment. I didn't expect that to happen. With the red nozzle and DucBloke's PEQ it's just a bliss. Warm, no hint of sibilance, not shouty, perfectly safe with tons of sub bass, very physical low end in general. In fact I have to use TRI Clarione eartips with it, because with Final Type E (my go to eartips these days) I get too much of a sub bass rumble to the point it is masking mids, not just low mids. With the gold nozzles I get more balanced tuning so in a way it is like having two sets in one. I am truly addicted to it at the moment. I got MK12 in blue and it pairs beautifully with Juzear Pure brown cable. I bet if Hidizs wasn't an evil company in the past this IEM would be more popular among bassheads.

By that logic ie600 , tanchjim origin , ie900, mk12 , ea1000 and many others is not worth it.

Owned Tea Pros, Hype 4 and MK12 at the same time. Decided to sell the former two because the MK12 sound that good to me (after PEQ), and was <1/2 the price (backed on Kickstarter).
