It has evolved into one of my favorite sets under $1k. An easy recommendation from me and well worth the cost of ownership. That set I'm referring to is one of the latest from the audio brand Kinera, named the “Kinera Nott Phantom”. The Nott Phantom is one of those sets that certainly took me by surprise. Not because I didn't think that Kinera could craft and create something amazing, but I just didn't know how much I would ultimately enjoy them. The Nott Phantom is a five driver hybrid iem filled with some high quality drivers and tuned very-very well. That tuning is one predicated off of balance. Balance of the spectrum, balance of musicality and analytical ability, balance of smooth and crisp, balance across the board. In my review I called the spectrum “an ensemble cast that has no lead actors in an awesome movie”. Basically, no one area assumes dominance. To add to that, there's also no area of the mix which doesn't represent very well. Really it's an effortlessly clean sound, black background, very dynamic, expressive macro-dynamics, highly detailed, multi-layered experience, and it has an enormous stage. Just a beautifully tuned iem. Of course, in my review I cover a whole lot more and explain the sound in a more comprehensive way trying to help anyone who may be seeking out a hybrid iem under $500. I truly don't think anyone should overlook this set. At any rate, if you'd like to read my thoughts then that would be awesome and I thank you very much for doing so. However, as always I simply hope you all are doing well, spending time with your collection, and most importantly you are enjoying what brought us all together in the 1st place… music. 🎧🔥👍 Nott Phantom Pros 👍🔥🎶 -Build is great (CNC machined aluminum) -Very comfortable, ergonomic -Design is very unique and very appealing -Unboxing is awesome, fitting for a Kinera Imperial branded iem -That cable! -Fast, tight, clean, well defined, but also deep and penetrative bass -Midrange has very nice timbre and is simply wonderful for vocalists -Treble is non-offensive but also has great note control, bite, and extension -Large and deep stage -Nicely detailed presentation -Note separation and imaging are stellar -One of my personal favorites within its price range 😕🙁👎 Nott Phantom Cons 👎😕🙁 -Bassheads will want to look elsewhere -Treble heads will want to look elsewhere -Design may be a bit polarizing for some hobbyists -Beyond those cons, there isn’t anything else for me Check out my full review of the Kinera Nott Phantom here: https://mobileaudiophile.com/in-ear-earphones-iem-iems-reviews/kinera-nott-phantom-review/

DISCLAIMER: I am by no means a professional audio reviewer, just a guy who knows music and enjoys music a little bit too much. NOTT Phantom Cons: - Cable is a little microphonic - Bass quantity a little lacking - Treble a little splashy for some tracks - Some BA timbre Pros: - Best in class vocal performance - Extremely expansion soundstage, biggest I've heard in an iem - Highly accurate instrumental presentation - Extremely good unboxing and tip selection and interchangeable terminations Review: I won't go over the nitty-gritty details of the NOTT Phantom, y'all can look up the specs and what not on the net anyway so I'll get right in to the juicy stuff. Firstly, the build quality is fantastic. The shell is matte finish similar to the Tea Pros and the faceplate is of some semi open-back grill with a gold outline that compliments the purple a lot. Needless to say, the fit is fantastic with the Final Type E eartips that they provided. Bass: In a world of isobaric dual DD setups, this single 8mm DD seems kinda inadequate and at first impression it kinda was. But after some time, I realize it was more than enough for most tracks and where it lacks subbass quantity it makes up for midbass slam. Mind you it's no Thieaudio Origin levels of midbass slam but it still slams quite well and it's pretty enjoyable for rock/metal. Subbass quantity is a little low but has pretty good quality with good thump and rumble with fast decay. 7/10 for me. Midrange: This is where this set shines, and I believe it was built for it too. The vocal presentation is sightly forward but not too in your face like the ziigaat Lush for example. Vocals have the right amount of warmth and air that it is extremely balanced for both male and female vocals, but I tend to lean towards female vocals more. Guitars and strings have a slight bit of edge so you still can hear the twang of the strings and all instruments are extremely natural and accurate sounding. 10/10. Treble: Due to it not being a bassy set, the treble stands out a little more, and for some busier tracks with a lot of hihats and cymbals, they can come across a little splashy and not refined. It doesn't beat the EST sets of course but treble and detail retrieval is still pretty darn good for the price. But on some brighter tracks could be fatiguing over time. 8/10. Technical Performance: This set has the most expansive soundstage I've ever heard in an iem. It is truly a wonderful listening experience, use divinus velvet for the best experience. Detail retrieval so above average, nothing outstanding. 9/10. TL;Dr - Buy if for classical/jazz/instrumental/acoustic, skip if love bass/hip-hop, edm can be good. Amongst the safe, warm sounding iems, the NOTT Phantom brings a different sound signature to the game with it's incredible staging and vocals. Comparisons (and new impressions) Softears RSV MK2 - I don't know what Softears fed their BAs but this is a bass monster. Extremely warm almost dark sound signature, vocals are extremely lush and emotive but without any air. Thieaudio origin levels of midbass slam. Technical performance is just average with some BA timbre. Would just suggest the Oracle MK3 or Monarch Mark 4s. Xenns Tea Pros - Compared to the Phantom, the Tea Pros are warmer, safer and more all rounding. If you have to blind buy the Tea Pros are a safer buy and they look great too. However being a veteran enthusiast they don't stand out to me and they don't do anything particularly well. Hercules Noah - The new guy in town. IMO this rocks the competition hard. Very smooth and balanced sound signature with quite heavy bass emphasis. I would skip the Martilo/ Kiwi Punch and get this without a doubt. Very smooth treble with very good details reminiscent of the Top Pros. However details don't stand out due to it being low-end focused. Rather forward and very emotive vocals. Blows the Hype 4 and Yu Que out of the water. IMO the new benchmark for around 300-400, however different sound signature to the Phantom. That's all from me! Hope you guys liked the review and if you have any further questions please do comment! Thanks for reading till the end!!

If you can get Tea Pros for cheap, then get it haha. If you like bass, Noah no brainer. Sucker for female vocals then Phantom
