I tried the Cadenza briefly and it was decent. IEMs I had that lead up to the Aethers are the Kleans, Xuan Nv, Phoenix Calls, and EM6L. The Aether was a blind buy into a planar but each upgrade was looking for improvement in comfort, soundstage, and most importantly was detail/clarity. I was originally looking at the super mix 4.

Phoenixcall = less punch lower end but it still has a lot of punch, the low mids are more felt here, more brighter and little forward mids, thinner too but not too much, you have more detail and sense of naturalness here, definitely the vocals are more natural. With the highs we see the same thing, the Phoenixcall is not so V-shaped, so they didn't need to raise the highs so much to compensate for the low end.So I think we have more naturalness here too. And overall Phoenixcall feels faster, the decay and recomposition of sub bass and mid bass for example is much faster. Relentless = Big V shaped, It's all about fun here! Big and bold low end, rumbles much more than the Phoenixcall, the mid is more recessed but not to the point of being over the top, c with this we have a more "full" mids, fuller and meetier vocals. It was in the highs where I encountered the most problems, due to the configuration of the Relentless drivers and having to have a large gain in the highs to compensate the big low end., depending on the song, you will feel the metallic timbre of the BA's and sometimes, at least for me, it's too much. In short, one complements the other very well. Neither of them lacks detail and transparency. Two V shaped, one is more daring and fun and the other is more technical and fast.

Air and technicality. The highs of both are on the same level, but are demonstrated in different ways. Both are really great. https://preview.redd.it/jplrg10s44ke1.jpeg?width=2770&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1013469f986b425a6d08372386662321c6f6cfee

I actually like the way my Phoenix Call perform in bass and vocal. So my bias is on the Wyvern

That's what the truthearxcrinnacle fanboy echo chambers want you to think. The aful performer 5, kinera celest pheonixcall, simgot supermix 4, GS audio GD5 all perform just as well if not better at around that pricepoint.
