"Wyvern abyss is meh. I got ok bass. It's just smooth listening, but it's not good for bass."

Totally worth! I would still pay full price. If you can, take a look at my impressions of it and also of the other three Wyvern models (OG, Qing and Blue Ed.) https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/FsWhcE8tyL
I got Dunu Titan S2 and a set of Wyvern Black. 4 sets of cables. Nothing too exciting. Just starting out in my journey😂
I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE WITH YOUR POINTS: https://preview.redd.it/vwxf7i53neye1.jpeg?width=2377&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9aafdf70e38f01e9e6e88692e4c7f79caca103d8 This is MY collection...and I'm very early in the journey. I don't have the budget, knowledge or experience to blind buy a 500USD+ set of in ears that may or may not fit my ears or my preferences. While my journey doesn't completely fit OP's blueprint...I have/had the same thought process regarding purchasing IEMs. Not pictured are the Moondrop Chu 2 and 7Hz Sonus. I started with the Chu 2, 7Hz Zero 2 and Kiwi Ears Cadenza. From listening, watching and reading reviews...I was able to learn about all the terms, labels, and vocabulary to describe what I like or don't like. I threw money at the Wyvern Abyss...I mean...LOOK AT THEM😂. The Kz Castor Bass was a curiosity buy...want to hear if a set touting bass response was really that bassy. My next steps were the NiceHCK F1 Pros, Kiwi Ears Canta and the 7Hz Sonus. The F1 Pros and the Sonu were on sale at the time of purchase...good value and able to narrow things down more for myself. I knew I liked the planar sound...I have a set of open ear planar cans. The F1s felt disappointing (until I tip rolled) The Sonus was about much for my taste (in the mids) The Cantas were quite nice for me. By this point...I had a good grasp of what I was looking for and the direction (s) I want to go in. AFUL Performer 5+2 is currently my go-to...for all around listening. Sourced from R2R DAC lined out into a desktop tube amp. It's like a warm blanket on crisp bright and snowy winter day. I picked up the Hexa because I wanted to hear the hype...and yes...they definitely fulfill the hype and then some. I've EQed my IEMs... especially the planar. They can mimic the sound...but it's only a part of the equation. I now rotate through 3-4 sets at my desktop listening station. The cheapo ones all have 3.5mm out for around the house or for bed. If they break...ill decide if I want to replace. Tip rolling is a journey of itself. Some tips can dramatically change an IEM and rescue it from the bottom of the pile. My Planars now sport foam tips...easing off the treble was huge. Anyway...long post...if you got this far thanks for sticking with my diarrhea of words. TLDR: I agree with the OP
You do realize that you guys are arguing over KZ and CCA (er, I mean, KZ), right? You have to have a set with excellent imaging, soundstage, detail retrieval, separation/layering. I’m not saying you have to spend $300+ to get all of that, but you gotta do better than the Castor Bass Pro and Rhapsody. C’mon now. At least mention the KE Cadenza. 7Hz Zero2? Wan’er? Wyvern Abyss? Let’s get crazy with the cheese whiz.
There is also the Nicehck NX8. The Abyss Wyvern is a solid IEM, especially at its price point.
Hisenior cano cristales maybe? Jk i like the faceplate tho Well i think you should try cheaper iem. Price is in order > Sgor Luna>KZ PRX>Artti t10 (planar) Tanchjim one>Tin Audio T2>Truthear Hexa>Truthear Pure (Neutral) Tangzu wan'er SG>Tanchjim Bunny>Celest Wyvern Black/Abyss>Simgot EW300 DSP>Aful Explorer (Warm) Or cheap Bone conduction iem like KBear KB02 Edit: And if you like Kiwi Ears they have plenty of good iem like the Septet, Astral, orchestra lite
Wyvern black give better performance for the segment, and also the Conch, it's fabulous if you love good treble
Celest Wyvern Black/Abyss, it has a great 2 Pin twisted cable, light, zero tangles, nice hardware and earhooks. The cable is called Tiger Soul, I managed to order another cable on AliEx at around 7$! Don't know if it's still that low though :D
I can suggest the Tinhifi C3 mk2, really comfy semicustom shell. Or the og Celest Wyvern black, semicustom as well, and can be had for cheapo nowadays! If not, the EPZ Q1 Pro or the EPZ G20 (same shell as the Q1 Pro, but gaming oriented, also comes with a 2m usb cable that supports a boom mic, and its inbuilt dac can be PEQ'd with the Walkplay app). To me personally the shape of the CCA Rhapsody and KZ Am16 is super comfy, but i kinda have bigger ears!
Previously I used Kinera Wyvern Abyss/Black and Tanzu Wan’er. Now I want to try something similar but with a wider soundstage. Mostly I listen to many genres of music, and I also use IEMs for movies and other content. The Wyvern Black’s warm tuning was good, but it felt a bit lacking in bass for my taste. On the other hand, the Tanzu’s natural sound was very good for me. The Wyvern was my main IEM, so now I want something similar but without the downsides (like lack of bass and dark-ish sound). I have shortlisted a few IEMs: EW200 Ignite X Beast AGA Audio AGAOne STA Pro I also want to try something new, like AGAOne or STA Pro. Which one would be better in terms of: wider soundstage good amount of bass natural mids micro details Also, the STA Pro’s faceplate looks interesting, and the reviews seem closer to my taste. The AGAOne also looks good, but I didn’t find too many reviews on it.
Celest wyvern black and Cadenza would be my choice, i personally own the Cadenza, and am pretty happy with them. Though make sure that the earphones fit you well, like if you have smaller ears, probably the CHU || DSP would work better for you then the Cadenza or Wyvern black. Also the tips do play an important role in the fit of the iems. Lastly, i didn't mention Waner 2s because I didn't feel the sound to be that good also the fit was bad for me even after using all different combinations of the FIIO HS19 ear tips.
These are not bad at all. I have these. There is an updated version with improved bass, wyvern black. But you can eq more bass into these to get some more bass. That's probably my only critique with them, stock they lack bass. But all other areas are present and it was a buy great at $10.
