Totally worth! I would still pay full price. If you can, take a look at my impressions of it and also of the other three Wyvern models (OG, Qing and Blue Ed.) https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/FsWhcE8tyL

Some people dislike that the nozzles on the chu 2 are unlacquered brass and if they get wet will start to get some green oxides. That's literally it. You can wipe the nozzles off every now and then with a paper towel. Also the chu 2 has replaceable filters, unlike anything else. Chu 2 is by far the best all rounder. Wan'er are a total tier down and kz is a shady company not worth supporting (the castor is only okay too) The only $20 options in the same tier as the chu 2 are the kinera wyvern and the tanchjim bunny

I don't have the beast, but I would say the wyvern is as good. Bear in mind that cost isn't always a mark of higher quality. Chu 2, wyvern or tanchjim bunny are my votes

I'd take the Wyvern or look at the 7Hz Zero2. The Wan'er sounds like a paper cone speaker in the mids. No real detail despite having volume there. The Cadenza costs double the Wan'er and sounds worse. Muddy bass with no texture, blurry mids, and peaky treble that still manages to not get in the way. All cymbals sound the same. Just a slow driver overall. I own them all and I've tried them all with many different sets of tips.

The Wyvern's mids are aggressive, and has a great amount of sub bass. I'm a mid-head. I love clean, clear, accurate mids. These are just a bit of all three but at the price point, I can't complain. Divinus Wides and the mids get *real* aggressive. Melodic death metal guitar work... hell, any distorted guitar just pops. So do electronic synths that are meant to bite and dig. Energetic treble without being harsh or piercing. The 7Hz Zero2 are, I feel, a more universal recommendation in terms of signature. V-shaped enough to capture a TWS enjoyer, but not so sucked out that the mids feel like an afterthought. It's a minor revelation to the beginner hobbyist while also being a pretty well performing unit at its price and beyond. The Tripowin Vivace is worth considering. One of my favorites, the KBEar KB01, is a no-brainer.

I'd pick the Wyvern here or the Truthear zero blue 2 tbh

I love that set! Beautiful to look at and very comfortable. However, to my ears, the bass too thumpy and some sounds get lost in the sauce. I find that they're more fun for immersion but not too much for competitive tac shooters

Wyvern is better for smoother, more relaxed listening. Balanced leaning barely bright. It’s a great set. Castors (both) are better for that analytical listening. Bass version is better for that more bassy kind of listen while Silver is better for that more detail oriented listening. If your looking for a warm super bassy listen, consider the KZ Dawn Silver.

Out of the 3? Wyvern. It’s a great set but it has smooth details so it’s not the most analytical set. Castor Silver has less sub bass than the Wyvern. Castor silver is also more bright leaning with sharper details. If you want a smooth relaxing set, the Wyvern and IgniteX Beast are great sets for that. The Castor Silver is more bright and analytical. I personally would pick the Wyvern for a relaxed and smooth listen. I have all the IEM’s mentioned above.

Only heard the Wyvern: I bought these for my GF, and tested them for a day. They are a nice set that played most everything very well (for the price). TBH, they look so incredibly pretty that I would just buy them for the looks and use while budgeting for an upgrade.

Idk who's advertising multi driver sets so much or why but a simple 10mm dlc or lcp driver iem like the kinera wyvern will be more cohesive in the sou dstage and image cause one driver. And cheaper. and more fun sounding

If you want full bass punch, get the pro bass, for anything else, probably better go for the Kinera, both have a bit of a big nozzle tho.

for gaming vivace is the best pick under $30, Wyvern is good, but a bit more focused on vocals, fit is not so great tho, similarly to Cadenza (nozzle is larger).

r/iems • tripowin vivace vs kiwi ears cadenza which one is better... For gaming and music... I like bass but not harsh type ->

Owned both - wyvern I flipped asap as it was a boring listen. No regret letting it go. Castor Pro I flipped too only because I felt it wont get much listening time among my similar sets, and its large feeling fit. But it is a much more competent iem than the wyvern with tuning flexibility with its switches. I have slight regret selling it. Right now, in price range of these two, I'd recommend the hzsound white snow - best stock tuning, sq among my ultra budget collection.

I find the Wyvern very flat in comparison to the Castor Pro. I found myself straining to hear the base and kept trying to push them deeper into my ear. I have the mic boom option and regret it. The weight of the boom is enough to cause the earpiece to constantly shift out of the desired placement in my ear. Found it annoying and nearly trashed it just cos of that. I guess a foam tip will help solve this issue. I feel like it's a quality product but I would have liked to have some ability to tweak it to my liking. As far as 'look and feel' it's probably the best looking iem right now, hard to beat in looks. Build quality is solid. The Castor Pro however also looks really good and I feel like the build slightly edges ahead of the Wyvern. I like how the connector pins on the cables have a protective housing whereas the Wyvern cables have the pins fully exposed. In terms of sound quality it's clearly superior in terms of staging and provides a richer, fuller experience. This combined with the ability to tweak the eq to a degree make it my choice between the two. The Wyvern is treble biased to the point that some of my favourite songs i listened to were nearly unrecognizable or sounded altered. Both are great products with a premium feel but the Castor Pro feels like they've put lots of time and consideration into producing a quality product that also comes in at a great price point. I must say that I was really dissapointed by the performance of the Wyvern but what it has done is give me a new appreciation of the Castor Pro.
