"I put them in my ear, put the helmet on, then do one final “push” with my finger to seat them in my ear for the ride. ... The batteries die before they work out of my ear."
"they are so comfortable that both I and my husband have had to feel our ears to check whether we were still wearing them."
"Also super bonus I've never head banged with earphones this hard besides with these soundcores, they stick to me like glue even when I'm in a metal mood and I'm headbanging for a good hour."

"it's a detail monster. ... This IEM has introduced me to so many hidden nuances and details in many songs."
"I have no idea how ANY headphone coukd sound as good as my Annihilator 2023. Same type of sound signature as the HE 1, but it has massively more bass. ... I used to have an HE1000 Stealth and it is weak and peaky and dull compared to Anni. ... My idea of "good" is enormous bass and enormous treble, and anything that heavily reverts from that is irrelevant to me."
"Annihilator has better mids and treble FR than every HiFiman. ... I've never seen a headphone with an FR graph nearly as good as Annihilator. ... There's no recession anywhere, and the treble boost has an intentional gap in the 6kHz area, where the HE1000 Stealth has a peak."

"Absolutely insane imaging. I can point exactly where each sound comes from: left, right, front, or even a bit behind."
"I listen mostly to pop and rock (both hard rock and indie), and these IEMs made it a whole new experience: ... Songs like "Chicago" and "You Rock My World" by Michael Jackson completely blew my mind. ... I could hear every backing vocal, guitar, bass lick, or tiny percussion element placed exactly where it should be, something I usually expect from high-end headphones."
"sound great for around 24 with both music and gaming."

"love the bassy but not overwhelmingly so (unlike 7hz Zero 2) tuning."
"It's got good bass impact, clean mids, and airy treble that doesn't cross over into sibilance."

"The bass is slow and sludgy on the Cadenza. ... They can't keep up with faster tracks. ... If you're listening to metal, prog, acid jazz, etc... then you may have some issues with that. ... Fast, heavyhitting techno? Not with these."
"I personally felt the bass was pretty anemic on it and I'm not a bass-head. ... Less bass than the ER2xr, Blessing 2, Blessing 2 Dusk, IE 200 etc. ... Very thin sounding. ... They have less bass than the Moondrop Blessing 2. ... They have less bass than the Etymotic ER2xr. ... They have less bass than the Sennheiser IE200. ... Just not enough bass and I"m no bass-head."
"The subwoofer is weak and almost non existent."

"I hated how sibilant and harsh the treble was to my ears."
"way too much treble, really zizzy"

"my only advice is maybe return the timeless 2(get the shozy p20 for 1/3 of the price with same or better perfomance)"
"Still i would avoid them and go for the 300ish Volume S or Pilgrim so you can actually notice the improvement."
"The 5+2 is a bit of an odd tweener in a world that has the 5 and the 8 already. Not bad by any means, just not as great in terms of value depending on how the prices you can get tend to be. ... I think the price to performance isn’t quite as good as it was on release with how far the Odyssey undercuts it on price, but I also prefer the Performer line, so I‘d rather downgrade to the Performer 5 if I had to save some money."

"If you plan on gaming, then the Aether wins hands down. The Quinte is more intimate and has worse imaging than the Aether, in my testing."
"Not every type of music sounds good on them - I don't recommend them for symphonic music, or where there are many instruments (due to small soundstage)"
"Small details in soundstage are way more noticeable in detail & positioning. ... RE2000 isn't a soundstage monster but is definitely wider and more accurate/precise than Explorer. ... That oscillating sound around 10–30 seconds in feels super wide and immersive on the RE2000, like it’s “breathing”. On AFUL, it stays more inside my head. ... Soundstage feels small and intimate."

"That EQ takes care of the Quintet's sibilance around 6K, too."
"I can EQ my Tea Pro or Kiwi Ears Quintet to match the FR graph of my Monarch Mk3, but they will not reach the levels of detail retrieval, attack and decay, separation, imaging, etc of the Mk3."
"Unbearably peaky"
Moondrop kato, i had it, its V shape sound with a great bass sound. Kiwi, and KZ iems are great too However there’s many options at this price range,
r/iems • What are the best IEM's I can get for under $150? ->Comfort is also important since this will be shoved in your ear for long sessions. Many people in this sub were happy with the Simgit Em6L for details you mentioned and they are on the smaller side. I also own the Kiwi Ears Quintet and I enjoy using those for gaming also (I own many and cycle though them). Some FiiO IEMs like the FH3 are also small and comfortable. If you want the smallest iem possible that will be comfortable for long sessions, try the Sennheiser ie200. You might be able to get a good deal on a used ie600 which is a better option. Enjoy the hunt! Ps: the tips you use are also important for comfort and getting a good seal for the best sound. I recommend the Moondrop Spring Tips, Dunu SS, or the TRN T tips. Ps-2: all these items have interchangeable cables. You can always get a cable with a boom mic integrated. But since you are streaming, a dedicated PC mic might be better. It's up to you if you want to try the mic cable to save some money at first.
r/inearfidelity • IEM for gaming ->I also own the Zero2, Ew300, and Eml6. I agree with your comments completely. Not just for FPS but general gaming they are great. I am going to test the MP145 because the soundstage is amazing on other media like YouTube. I will also throw in to the mix for you the Kiwi Quintet. You can get it used for a great price. It has great detail, separation, and directional audio. Worth a try for sure.
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->Kiwi Ears Quintet. İt's both very comfortable and sounds very nice to me. Kinda hot in treble but hey I'm an eq junkie Anyway
r/iems • What's an IEM related purchase you do not regret splurging for? ->The Quintet was a very nice IEM when it was released. The very fast and clean details kept the upper midrange and treble just below being sibilant for me. I found the bass to be slightly lacking, almost as if the bass was an afterthought. There are other IEMs which are just as details yet sound much more natural. One IEM which is totally under the radar is the Ikko High-Ear C. Think of the High-Ear C as a much more detailed IEM in comparison to the QKZ x HBB yet with similar tuning and cleaner bass.
r/iems • Hidden Gems - What's the most underrated IEM in your collection? ->I am glad that you offered your suggestions since you listen to metal. I don't listen to metal. I do really like the Performer 7's clean and clear macro and micro details. I also like the Kiwi Ears Quintet for the same reason. Thank you for suggesting some IEMs which I have not listened to.
r/iems • My very first dive in the IEM world ->Very happy to see my baby Kiwi Ears Quintet up there I love them for my small-ish ears using them mainly for singing and piano Dancing and outdoors I love using my Honkai x Moondrop Robin's headphones! But the shells are definitely WAY bigger than my Quintets so they pop out of my ear more. Still, they're so comfortable and light to not pop out even while dancing
r/iems • These are the most recommended IEMs on Reddit (r/iems VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I've never tried the Blessing 3 so I don't want to comment regarding them. The Tea Pro is an excellent IEM. It has excellent imaging and good sound stage for an IEM. I've tried quite a few IEMs thanks to Amazon's return policy in the US. I do own these IEMs: Kiwi Orchestra Lite and Quintet Raptgo x HBB Hook Aful Performer 5 The Tea Pro is by far the best IEM I've tried.
r/iems • good iem with good imaging with a decent soundstage for an iem for competitive fps (mainly r6 siege) ->I went from the EM6L > Kiwi Ears Quintet > Orchestra Lite > Tea Pro > Monarch MK3. I head a difference with every step up. I prefer the Quintet over the Tea Pro because the Tea Pro treble is darker and smoother and sounds less detailed imo. The Monarch MK3 is just absolutely amazing imo. I hear details in songs I've never heard before. The detail in every aspect is just amazing, and they're fun to listen to. They also do some black magic with soundstage and imaging. The MK3 sounds bigger than some openback headphones I've owned.
r/iems • Just how much better would the audio quality be if I upgrade from a ~$80 to $350? ->I tested aether yesterday. I think in term of sound aether much more balanced and less shouty in some track. In fitment, quintet much better because of smaller size. Aether fit well but feel protrude from my ear because of shell size.
r/iems • My amateur review of the Kiwi Ears Aether ->Right now, the KBEar KB02 with TangSancai Widebore tips are really solid at their price point. I'm testing the TRI Draco, and it isn't bad. A little warm with a pretty steep treble roll-off, but the pertinent info for gamimg is there and the spatial imaging is solid. The ThieAudio Elixir with Whizzer ET100 tips does quite well, but the stage is a little narrow. I've had good luck with the KiwiEars Quintet EQd above 1500Hz to a replica of the Tea2 squig. Stage outside your head, which is nice. That EQ takes care of the Quintet's sibilance around 6K, too. I still haven't tried the EM6L, and doubt I ever will. Too much treble. Others seem to really like it for gaming. The Dunu DaVinci is similarly tuned to the Tea Pro, but I haven't had a chance to really put my pair to the test in gaming despite loving them for music. You could give the TRN White Tiger a try.
r/iems • Are these the “best” gaming iems? any recommendations for a good cable with a mic ->Agreed, the Aether is this expressive and emotional sound. I would argue if money isn’t an issue try the Kiwi Ears septet as it’s my favourite out of the Kiwis I’ve tried (ranking in order from best to worst) Septet, Aether/Orchestra, Quintet, anything else, then the Etude as these were seriously muddy imo
r/iems • Best planar driver iem? ->Sound signature always makes up 90% of how good an IEM sounds. If the sound signature already isn't to your liking, chances are you wont like the rest of whatever the IEM has to offer. The quintet is an amazing IEM for the money, I owned one for a time, but it was a little too bright for me so I ended up not using it much. You probably just enjoy the heavier bass of the QKZ in this case, an IEM I also used to own but sold off to my friend because I didnt like how much bass it had. Notice the duality here? SInce you prefer more bassy sets, you may end up liking more expensive bass heavy IEMs like the kiwi ears x HBB punch, punch audio martillo or Thieaudio Origin. With that said, diminishing returns begin very early in this hobby. You may find any of the IEMs i mentioned above to be nicer than the QKZ but not by much. The chifi scene has been lowering the price barrier for high end audio and its only continue to get lower as time goes on
r/iems • I cant really tell the difference between 200$ IEMs and 30$ IEMs ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
