InAwaken Dawn Ms or Kefine Klean. I prefer the Dawn. The Artti T0 is also solid, but I find it super uncomfortable, as I said above. There are also some outliers in the sub $60 category. Like the Ziigaat Cinno, which is usually 50% off at <$50. The KiwiEars Singolo is also a good set. But it needs different tips, and it needs a different cable. The stock tips and cable are literally EWaste. Total junk. If you have an extra cable, great, extea tips, your golden. But if you have to buy either, it kills the price proposition. And the Dawn is a little brighter, and better accessorized. (Both are based off the same shell) The TRN Shell is also really solid with an amazing accessories package. Unbeatable value. If you are curious in a hybrid with EW300 like tuning, without the EW300 ear mode issues.

I'd skip the Cadenza; to me they're both tinny (treble) and hollow (bass). Honestly if you like neutral tunes the Tangzu Wan'er 2 are great at $20, and I've heard few pairs under the $100 mark that are substantially better. Maybe look at the Kiwi Ears x Crinacle Singolo if you lwant Kiwi Ears; they're wildly overpriced at MSRP but they're basically half off everywhere these days and they're good at 40 USD.

The Singolo has a relatively long nozzle so you might need to size down on tips, but once you get a good fit they're very comfortable. I missed the question in the post, but the Zero:RED is also a great earphone. I gave it a 4+/5. They're a little bassier than the Singolo, and I think their soundstage isn't quite as wide.

$20 each: Tangzu Wan'er 2 (neutral), 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 (bassy), Moondrop Chu II (mildly v-shaped) $35 (on sale; original MSRP $80): Kiwi Ears x Crinacle Singolo (v-shaped). Personally I really, really like the Singolo, but the $20 ones are all great IEMs.

Overrated: * Truthear Zero / Zero Red: The nozzles are huge and the sound is just OK for the price. They were a big deal at the time for target adherence (although the "full Harman" Zero actually has terrible Harman compliance), but that's more of a technical curiosity than actually good. Fortunately there are much better options these days, so the hype has died down a lot. * Truthear Hexa: Bass is anaemic, treble is peaky and the nozzle is also huge, though not quite as bad as the Zero. * Simgot EW300: The worst Simgot I've heard for coherency, although it does have the safest tuning as long as you don't get the killer treble peak around 11kHz (that's solvable with eartips, its other issues aren't). * GK Kunten. I mean it's *OK* for the price, but it's literally just a slightly downgraded and more expensive [ZVX Pro](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eQc95TR0Ls), which in turn is almost identical to about half a dozen other KZ IEMs. All of which have the same driver as the Zenith too. The hype around this one is insane. A very successful astroturfing campaign though, so I guess well done for fucking up the sub with a tsunami of spam, and congrats to everyone who fell for it (including me, because I bought one too out of curiosity). Underrated: * Moondrop LAN (the OG one): A very good bright-neutral IEM for its price, overshadowed by the Chu 2 costing half as much, and the 7Hz Zero having nearly the same tuning (but much lower build quality, comfort and less refined treble). * Dunu Titan S: it's like the Hexa if it were better in every way and also cheaper. Actually these were a very highly regarded IEM at launch but I believe the hype machine moved on to the bassier Moondrop Aria and they got a bit forgotten about. Still a very good IEM though. Unclear if they're still in production or not, but everyone seems to agree the S2 isn't tuned as well. * Ikko OH300: Just one of my favourite IEMs with a fun but mostly natural-sounding warm v-shape tuning and incredibly holographic imaging. Nobody else ever talks about them. * TRN Shell: One of the few TRN IEMs that's actually good. It's like the EW300 but better in ever possible way aside from having a more pronounced v-shape tuning (personally I like it though, especially after some tip-rolling). It's also only $40 (on frequent sale) and comes with an insane set of accessories for the price. * Aful MagicOne: It's not an all-rounder IEM, it's not for everyone, and it's probably overpriced at RRP. But it's a very unique IEM in every way and nothing else sounds quite like it. I only paid about $60 for mine on sale and it's absolutely one of the best things I've bought.

I would argue it's overrated, despite not being rated much at all. I paid ~$30 for mine on sale and still feel like it was overpriced. I much prefer the Cadenza or KBear KB01.

I wouldn't say so, but how IEMs sound in each person's ear is different. At least on a 711, the main differences are the slight bass tuck on the Singolo caused by the Helmholtz resonator, and a huge dip in the treble around 10kHz: https://squig.link/?share=Harman_Adjusted_Target,IEF_Comp_Target,Super_22_Target,Kiwi_Ears_Singolo,Kiwi_Ears_Cadenza It's a bit harder to talk about specific differences on the 5128 and nothing there really reflects how I hear them better than the 711 graphs anyway. They probably are quite sensitive to ear canal effects. More than most IEMs. In fact that was the big complaint Resolve had about them in his review - he found they sounded much better if he permanently kept his fingers on them to hold them as deep as possible into his ear.

Kiwi Ears Singolo. People hate it because of the poor kit, high launch price, and questionable fit. But when the stars align, and you get ear tips with a good fit, things change. Its sound is incredible.  Deep, clean bass, and extremely natural mids and highs. It's a very organic-sounding IEM. It's a shame that Kiwi Ears got it so wrong, and that it flopped, because his sound is quite underrated.

The Singolo went back, couldn't get on with the fit. The Septet took my brain a fair few hours to adjust to what I was hearing. They are seriously good, got them in now, brighter than what I'm used to, I'm rather treble sensitive, but these things, quite simply WOW.

The Kiwi Ears Singolo is criminally underrated.

I mean, Singolo has better midrange and a smoother top-end. The Cadenza has more energy up top, but Singolo manages that energy better.

Kiwi ears singolo is great for thumpy bass. Original msrp was 78 dollar now only 39 dollars at linsoul.
