Budget gaming pick, but poor cables and polarizing bass.

I bought an AK6 Pro for $5. Now that one sucked. It's a nice looking IEM. Just sounds like $5. Huge muddy bass and treble that sounds like a cheap transistor radio.
Wait for your brain to get used to one IEM first, this happened to me. My original IEM was the QKZ AK6 Pro like yours (just the pink and blue one). I have used that for years as my daily driver abused IEM. Still works haha, until I end up buying the KZ Castor Bass. After few weeks, I noticed the QKZ sounded duller and has less clarity. It gotten way way worse as soon as I swapped to the KZ Castor Harman, which has way less bass than both. I ended up liking the Castor Harman vs both the Castor Bass and AK6 Pro. Now the QKZ just sounds like mud for me, too much bass.
I have both wired (AK6 Pro IEM tsaka adapter ng Type C kung walang headphone jack) and wireless (soundcore R60i NC). Depende talaga sa usage, tsaka kung sakaling lowbat ang wireless earphones, switch na lang sa wired earphones. May sarili kasing pros and cons ang dalawa.
Why? I used to own a KZ AK6 and I even thought it was pretty good, although this one is much better.
KZ EDX/ Gale don't have any tuning switches. Gaming IEMs are supposed to be strong with the mids & highs so harsh sounds such as gunshots will be loud, sometimes uncomfortably so (as I've already mentioned my experience with the QKZ AK6 pros but never felt the same fatigue with Castor/ Castor Pros) Sound tonality however is highly subjective & preferences will vary from person to person, if you think Crinacle Blues is what you want, go for it.
I wanted to get into the hobby so I bought a cheap QKZ AK6 Pro that costs like 4-5$ from shopee. It sounds amazing. So I climbed to the 80$ bracket to see what's the difference in sound quality from my cheap QKZ AK6 Pro. I wanted to try out a neutral sounding iem because I haven't heard what a neutral iem sounded like so I bought the Truthear Hexa because a lot of yt reviewers recommended it. The AK6 pro just has more bass(but not too much which I like), and the hexa has a little bit more treble. It's crazy that a 4-5$ iem is so close to the sound of a 80$ iem.
I actually like the neutral sound of the hexa. The only other neutral iem/earphone that I have is the AirPods Pro 2. After using the hexa for 5 hours, I switched back to the QKZ and AirPods Pro 2. The hexa is clearer, maybe it's because of the higher treble. It's especially clearer in songs like Billie Jean, Love Story, and other songs that have high-pitched voices like female and high-pitched instruments like snares. Edit: I don't know if the hexa has a neutral sound, it actually sounds bright rather than neutral imo.
Been using the hexa for a few hours. Just noticed that the hexa sounds clearer, especially in some songs that have female vocals and high-pitched instruments like snares and cymbals. Hexa has less bass, but I don't mind it.
I have used the hexa for a day now. Going back to the Qkz feels like coming from a 144hz monitor to a 60hz monitor.
