First time I feel like living with deaf ear when I tried chinese IEM for fun. It turns me into audiophile for a while. KZ EDX then ZS10 Pro, now Zex Pro. First two less than rm100 on shopee. Got other brands with match quality sound and price but only tried KZ. Tried alot of ear/headphone at same price range. Meh. Even airpod/buds hardly match with details I used heard to.

Yeah at this point they are outclassed even by KZs own edc and edx lines. They are still ok at their price points. But they are no longer the top budget, iems like they were 5 years ago. If you don't have an aliexpress account at this point, you can snag a edc or edx for 2 bucks thanks to the welcome deal

I would avoid anything from KZ except for EDX Ultra, those were cool. Get the Wan'er, the QKZ HBB have such a ridiculous amount of bass that when you use them for some time and switch to anything else you will think "wow there are actually instruments in this song"

Nice guide. If anyone would be considering buying the EDX Pro I recommend the EDX Ultra instead, very cheap, not nearly as v-shaped, with emphasis on mid bass and treble, not fatiguing nor shouty, generally sounds nothing like other KZ IEMs, and the only good KZ I've tried
