"KZ has no right not put this out witouth any promotion and looking so budget when it could easily be a solid $20 iem option if the shell was a bit more solid and didnt come with KZ trashy cable. ... i personally would have liked them to just be different versions because this way people might know about one but not the other and its something worth to know IMO, but also, i rather they to have better cable and shell altogether so they would be way easier to recomend and not require a cable swap anyway lol ... Yes about the cable, I feel the same but this are low cost and is understandable the Zenith on the other hand is an absolute shame, they make it really difficult to reconcomed without mentioning a new cable. ... i think they should really repackage those with a better cable and a more sleek looking shell and make them $20 flat, but welp, one can dream XD ... bruh, might aswell, it really only needs a cable upgrade XD"

I got one for less than 10 bucks on AliX using coins and this thing kinda slaps. I felt duty bound to leave a quick impression. I’d say it’s fairly neutral with a bass boost. Both mid and subbass are slightly elevated and the sound is more subbass focused. I picked this up with the more midbass focused Gale, which also slaps for the price. The edx pro 2 won out between the two in this case however because I couldn’t get over how clear the treble presentation was despite a fairly thunderous subbass, in a single dynamic driver set. For less than 10 bucks. The midbass still had plenty of kick and overall the low end was more nicely layered than it had any right to be. Vocals did not lag behind the bass and treble, and the set avoids the thin sound that typically plagues the under $10 price segment. Whenever I buy a really cheap set I don’t want to take out of my ears, that’s like crack cocaine to me. The resolution and tuning made this one impressive so I just wanted to give it a quick shout before the inevitable wave of “edx pro 2 gud” posts roll in. Slapped a KZ upgrade cable and some nicehck C04 tips on mine. KZ stock cables and tips suuuuck. So that’s it, just a quick super-budget update. Spend wisely friends.

Actually it sounds a lot cleaner than an EDC Pro to my ear. I don’t randomly hype $10 kz sets man, these are a marked improvement from their previous releases. It’s remarkable, so I made a remark.

I wholeheartedly agree. I bought a pair and the resolution is bonkers for what I paid. It’s KZ’s “next gen super linear” budget driver that they also use in the Gale. I just got mine too but I’m enjoying it way more than I thought I would.

With EQ you can boost that Libra X bass, I got mine modded with a low density tuning foam, for its price it's absurdly technically capable, maybe that's right, it's better for gaming, but I prefer the EDX Pro 2 and Gale, definitely the trifecta of ultra budget kings

For the price, I really like KZ Gale and EDX Pro 2 (coming in the mail). They have almost the same exact tuning, except EDX Pro 2 has higher bass overall. Nice smooth treble, vocals aren't pushed back, sibilance is minimal, and bass is satisfying. I still can't believe I only paid $7 for Gale. Crazy value. ZVX Pro, EDC Pro, Libra X, Vader, Trio, Hydro, Saga, all pretty good, although I certainly wouldn't pay full price for any of those, only on a good sale. I like Decet with a good EQ the most of all my KZ IEMs. I heard Zenith is really good too but never ended up buying one.

Hey, nice. We've had a lot of the same sets it looks like. Loving Gale so far for the price. Got 2 of them on early bird deals. One for $7.29, and the other for $5.26. Had to get the second one for that price. Also have EDX Pro 2 on the way just to see which I like better. Man, I really need to try the Zenith...

The Zenith is the best one by a large margin for me, the Gale would be my second choice (EDX Pro 2 has the same tuning and about 2-3dB more bass, I prefer the balance of the Gale though, both are an incredible value for the price (+/-$8-9)). I have or had at some point the Hydro, PRX, Saga (both), Castor (both), Libra (hi-res and balanced), ZVX, ZVX Pro, Vader Balanced/Trio, ZS12 Pro X, EDC Pro, D-Fi and Polaris, of this sets I like the Saga Balanced the most.

For a bit more bass/sub-bass (+/-2-3dB) the EDX Pro 2 have the same tuning with just a bit of bass boost. https://enemyspider.squig.link/?share=GALE,EDXP2 Edit. If you have one there is no need for the other, they sound really close to each other.

I think is better this way than a balanced and a bass enhanced version of the same model. Yes, there is not much publicity, shame because they are nice indeed especially for the price. Edit. They got rid of the (awful) mesh filter and use a damper instead that alone should be reason enough to promote it.

The original EDX Pro is really more on the V-shaped bright tuning, and many don't like its bright tuning. If you really like bass, Castor Harman is not your IEM. I would either suggest going to like Saga Bass or Castor Bass, or Dawn. Castor Harman (1100 switches), Gale, EDC Pro, EDX Pro 2, and Saga Balanced is more leaning towards balanced-ish tuning. Castor Harman (0000 switches) is more leaning to mild-V shaped bright, (0011 switches) neutral bright tuning Terms of improvement or any differences, if you want versatility and easy to adjust to almost any tuning, go for the Castor Harman (tuning switches and EQ) If you want to not fiddle with switches and/or EQ, go for the EDC Pro, EDX Pro 2, and Saga series.

EDX Pro 2 and Saga Bass would definitely be a slightly more warmer set than EDC Pro. EDC Pro would be similar-ish in bass and mids with the EDX Pro 2, but a brighter treble, abit closer to balanced than warm or bright. But the EDC Pro was original reference tuning for many newer KZ IEMs, like the EDX Pro 2 and Saga Bass. They just refined the sound overtime, Zenith was the pinnacle of that tuning, especially alot of people really preferred the warmer sound. Even other KZs have been tuned to a tamer treble than classic KZ sets. Though recent new new releases have been using the Castor and Castor Pro Bass tuning with refinements on treble, and bass for the bass versions of the new KZ IEMs. https://preview.redd.it/rwodxqaqc3yf1.png?width=2400&format=png&auto=webp&s=cef5c06819544d7d3340234c1640b7dc24e72474

welp, it does sounds like a replace but my point is More than anything, that even if the tuning is better for you, there is a fair chance they wont "wow" you when compared to the TWS, so do take it in mind. I still stand by the Tanchjim Bunny rec tho, if you want to mess with adjusting sound via DSP, i am not sure if moondrop new budget DACs actually support DSP functionalities tho. If you want a stock tuning that leans on what you asked for, KZ EDX Pro 2 would be it, but you Should consider changing accesories (cable and eartips).

If you are going to play with the DSP tuning then near everything is fine, i guess consider Salnotes Zero 2 for its driver as a first option, Bunny is still a good stock iem too but it seems it will take some time, at that point you might aswell choose based on avalible sets and short shipping dates: Truthear Gate, Simgot EW100p, tangzu Waner 2, even if there is some differences on bass quality, they arent that big in this price range, the sound adjusting via the echo b would do more for you than anything else. (Kz Gale and EDX Pro 2 also have quite nice drivers, but build quality is very very basic overall). Also, not sure the specific reason for going directly to a 4.4mm cable but a 3.5mm cable would do just fine if your concern is powering the iems.

If you also want decent accesories that Would be more complicated, most budget iems doesnt come with super good ones, but in terms of EQ, a lot of very budget sets are quite easily to play With, i personally found the Tangzu Waner original (not the 2) quite good for it, but worked better for bassy stuff more than anything. There are a lot of KZ Budget sets that are nice but accesories are horrible, you could get KZ PR3 for like $30 and EQ it quite easily to something way more enjoyable (personally i like to use the Letshouer S08 as a EQ target), but mostly any KZ planar after the PR1 for that matter, tho they could use a good dongle to power them. There is also the KZ Gale or the EDX Pro 2 which are very budget but quite competitive but very budget build quality and accesories even more. Honestly, Bunny is already from the better ones since they have a decent overall quality and a stock tuning that is easier to adjust (like Waner, without much peaks to control with EQ). if you have some money left, i guess just get a better cable, honestly, most stuff under $30 would do more or less the same decent job and fit and comfort would be the bigger issue to focus on, tho, hard V-shape iems like G1 wouldnt recomend it for EQ, it has peaks to tame in the treble, maybe Simgot EW200 if you get it for $40 bucks or less could do the job.

Well, there is a difference between an iem with a DSP cable and a type-c cable, if you want a DSP one (which means it has at least an Equalization loaded into it, youll have less options, IF you just want one iem that already comes with a type-c cable, and youll just wavelet and whatnot to EQ it, you have more options like actually the Waner 2, the TRN Orca (which also come with tuning switches to play with, that do change sound), Salnotes Zero and Zero 2, etc. Btw, now that i remember too, If you havent checked it yet: This is a Sub $50-ish iem list i made: [- Click Here -](https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/ewQg6y32HB) Is recently updated with most current decent iems on the market to search for, and some mentioned if they have with type-c alternative (tho i think that still needs a bit of an update lol, some iems got the Type-c options recently, or i forgot to mention they do). Anyway, in there, check the Sgor Luna, for about $42 bucks you can get it along with actually a basic dongle DAC to use at least for now, is pretty decent for a beginer if you can spend the extra bucks.

Yep, a friend got them because they had the same driver as the KZ Gale (or at least a very similar one) and the EDX Pro 2 had a runing more in line with what he wanted, its CRAZY how this kind of tuning hasnt really been done properly around $50 to $100 bucks despite how obviously good it is.

If it can be a KZ, ill say try a KZ EDX Pro 2 and save up money for an upgrade. If you dont want KZ and want a clear bass focus, QKZxHBB. If you really want a very energetic and bassy iem, Kbear Rosefinch. And if you just want a safe (should sound fine) kind of iem with decent amount of bass, Salnotes Zero 2. More than that i cant really pick for you brother xd.

For a full combo on the buy: TRN Conch: Slightly bright V-shape. Already includes a great cable and nice eartips from yhe brand. unless you are very sensitive to treble, it is not too problematic (though i personally recomend it better with Dunu Candy eartips). --- For a combo buy: KZ EDX Pro 2: Bassy soft V-shape (a more bassy EW300 kinda tuning). Accesorios, specially eartips, are near unusable so --> \--> Cable: QKZ T1, very cheap, very good. \--> Eartips: Kbear 07 for better balanced sound or Kbear 08 for a more comfortable and deep fit. Actually been rocking the EDX Pro 2 combo recently myself: https://preview.redd.it/cg2sdtk4xtyf1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=c8129d41c99f6b3444ed5dc291a10118f8673cf1

V-shapes arent usually muddy, the "V" form aims to precisely separate bass from the rest of the sound so it sounds cleaner. All that said, i get your point, it actually Is quite clean, for being a $15 or so level IEM, Though i reckon the Conch might sound a bit cleaner because of the extra treble and less boosted bass. EDX Pro 2 is kinda bassy because it has some bass but it sounds quite balanced for me an other people, is just the right amount of extra bass to make it funny. In overall sound quality Conch i think is a bit better but the EDX Pro 2 combo is easier to like in terms of tuning.

EDC Pro is probably better for gaming as it has a good boosted lower end and a 10k peak, which ironically the Gale is tuned for gaming and has a dip there and slightly lower sub bass. The EDX Pro 2 is almost identical to Gale apart from 2-3dB in the 20-100 region but matches the EDC Pro’s bass boost. Tbh, you can’t go wrong with any of these for an ultra budget option for gaming/music but would probably pick up EDX Pro 2 or Gale as they’re using the newest super linear driver. Gale has the ‘better’ mic, as it’s a dual setup. Paul Wasabi did a great comparison video between Gale and EDC Pro on his YT channel, would recommend checking it out. There’s not many reviews on the EDX Pro 2 yet but it’s a mix of the other 2 models.

Lots of BUDGET options, I'm currently loving a pair of £10 (Amazon)FiiO JD10 USB C IEMs, they have built in tuning modes so I saves faffing around with your player. They also do the 3.5mm version of your player doesn't support usb audio. I also have a pair of KZ EDX PRO IEMs which are good, they're even better now I've switched the 3.5mm cable for an upgraded silver usb c cable 👍🏼 So check the FiiO & KZ ranges, not all of us can afford £200 on a pair of ear candy 😉 oh and I listened to everything from classical to blues, k-pop to metal, dance to jazz 😂 quite eclectic

Yikes: that's a bummer about difficulties in Brazil with taxes and import duties... As for the KZ EDX... yeah I have the KZ EDX Pro's, and I did not like them at all. Very shrill and just overall kind of muddy. The thing I like about the KZ Castors by comparison is that, first of all, they just sound good, but also, they are the only IEM that I have tried with the ability to adjust the sound profile. There are little tiny sliders/switches on them so you can bump highs, mids, and lows up or down. It's kind of a neat feature if you want to try to taylor the sound a little bit to your liking. And you shouldn't need a DAC for any of the ones I mentioned. It's not bad to have one, but you don't need one to drive most of these entry level IEM's. You can also grab the Apple USBC to 3.5mm audio adapter: to my knowledge that's about the best DAC you can get for the money as they are cheap and easy to find, and I can confirm as I have one: they work and sound great plugged into my Windows 11 PC or iPhone. But again, you don't NEED one. I have used iems plugged directly into my PC's audio port, I have used them plugged into the monitor out on my audio interface, and I have used them on the headphone out on USB mics. I have also used them plugged into an Xbox controller when playing on my Series X so you shouldn't have any issues to be honest. But yeah, the microphone is the hardest part. A lot of people buy different cables for their iem's because the ones that come stock aren't always good, and you can buy some with a built-in mic. I can't really speak to how well these work though since I am using a dedicated XLR mic into my audio interface that I use for recording music. I also have some friends that squad up with us sometimes that just use the wired earbuds that came with their phones and they seem happy with that as well. Good luck: I hope you find something that works for you!

the KZ EDX Pro has a V shaped sound signature i.e. the bass and treble are amplified compared to the mids, but honestly for me it was peaking a bit too much at the treble in some songs which is easily fixable using an equalizer, so it's actually pretty fun with hip-hop (which is mainly dark toned and what I use it for too) and I really love it :D **This is my first IEM and the only IEM I have and I have only compared these with the Truke Buds Vibe and the Jabra Elite 5 and a couple other sub 5k TWS**. but from personal experience, honestly if you're getting into IEMs now these are a very good option for their price.

I have to say, they have improved a lot over the years. Now i have in daily use the KZ PRX and the KZ Castor bass edition, they sound great even on high volumes, but last weekend i tested the first IEMs i bought from KZ, the EDX PRO and, wow, what an evolution, at low volume they sound ok, but you put some volume there and they sound awfull to say the least. I had too the KZ ZS10 PRO X, they are better than the EDX but they have too shrill high notes on high volumes, thats why i have gone to the Castors and now the PRX, they sound fantastic for the price in my opinion.

I own budget IEMS and relatively OK headphones here's the difference between my KZ edx pro and JBL tune 600s NC. JBL tune 600s has more accurate higher bass and low mids and relatively better Mids. KZ edx pro has a better soundstage, and a much better and clearer higher high end and better in sub bass. I would pick my JBL for its Noise cancellation, but the KZ for anything else. BTW wav files from my CDS and iPhone 4s as a driver. And remember that you don't listen to music with a gaming headset that does not have its own driver built in, with changeable EQ, since the bass might be too excessive or in general will sound bad.

Man, just choose one by looking at accessories and sound signature. There is no ultimate iem, I myself had kz edx pro which have shitty eartips and cable but I was still happy with it, and right now i have waner sg which has better accessories and overall better comfort than kz. I did choose waner look for best one that suits your taste. Actually learning eq is more important.

i have been using the kz edx pro for more than a year and one thing i have to say is if its your first iem you could go with either as you have no baseline and it will sound good. but if you listen to more premium options you will start to notice it. also if you have a link can you send of the youtuber who recommended the kz. cause a lot of indian yt iem reviewers honestly are really bad. they just it sounds amazing in a million ways and dont actually describe the sound. this is how i ended up purchasing the kz. i would recommend you watch some foreign reviews or the 'hopeless geek'. or one more thing you can do is try to find reviewers with a similar music preference.

given the wonky looking cable I think we can rule out a custom. I also spot a QDC connector which are more or less solely used by the larger group of KZ-adjacent brands as far as IEMs are concerned. at least I've never seen a CIEM that used that particular one, most don't even have modular cables because that way you know the cable ain't just plopping out of the connector and falling off no matter how much you strain it. I think this looks a lot like either the KZ EDX Pro or the QKZ AK3 judging by that specific face plate design. considering how cheap and borderline unusable that cable looks, I'd say either lines up just fine. could be their fallback option for the broadcast in the event that the main device fails or maybe it's his personal one used in the box area (not an F1 person, so I don't know exactly what that area is called and also don't know if he's a driver or a mechanic) to communicate with the team. at that point using a cheap expendable device is far better than a custom one.

Idk, my 4 dollar aliexpress KZs are pretty solid. I mean, they were 4 dollars, so expectations were only so high, but I like them. Probably the lowest, most basic model KZ makes (EDX pro) but alas. A solid toe dip into IEMs, will be buying more in the future.

A lot of people here aren't fans of KZ. Personally, I love KZ. I'm still using my 6 year old KZ ZSN Pro and I was about to buy the KZ Castor, but checked some reviews/sound check on youtube and the KZ EDX Pro is almost the same sound sig as the ZSN Pros, so I just bought those and I'm fairly satisfied.

I went from more expensive stuff to KZ ZS10 Pro X (and Pro 2). And still recommend them to most people at most levels. Ofc theres better stuff if budget is over 500€, but below that theres not much better stuff. Most likely will have to get aftermarket foam tips for them, as they dont usually come with any. Good seal is paramount to hearing bass

Comply memory foams. I have two pairs (Pro X and Pro 2). For bass I prefer the Pro X for some reason, even if the Pro 2 has those tuning dip switched. The other pair uses comply and the other pair has foams I took from my old Mackie IEM

First of all: I am not an expert in hi-fi. I'm just a simple man who was looking for good IEMs, and this is only my subjective opinion. The IEMs I was looking for should cost between $50 and $150 and should have balanced, lively bass with pleasant treble that does not tire the ears. So far, I have tried many IEMs and tested them on my PC and smartphone without any additional devices. No DAC, no amp. It was important to me that they were ready to use right out of the box. For me, good sound is when it is carried by lively bass and deep frequencies that guide you through the music, especially for drum and bass and metal. Low frequencies, and especially bass, form the basis of a good listening experience; that's the primary purpose of why I prefer hi-fi headphones, to get into it. My rotation: **≈ 50$ IEMs which I tested:** LINSOUL TANGZU Wan'er LINSOUL SIMGOT EW200 MOONDROP CHU II LINSOUL 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2 KZ Castor LINSOUL KZ ZS10 PRO 2 LINSOUL KZ ZS10 PRO X **≈ 100$ IEMs which I tested:** LINSOUL SIMGOT EW300 ARTTI T10 Pro TRUTHEAR Hexa Surprisingly, only two of the IEMs I tested impressed me with their overall bass reproduction. I couldn't decide between the KZ PRO 2 and the ZERO BLUE 2, but in the end I chose the BLUE 2 because it offers the best overall package. For me, the ZERO BLUE 2 is simply badass right out of the box. These were the only IMEs that had this deep sounding I was looking for. https://preview.redd.it/fm66t5fl5uef1.jpg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87099e1c617e96b62bb51f28fe01520ebe96a0c6 https://preview.redd.it/pyn3x43m5uef1.jpg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=721c67332e8f8dd3db7ed8ac6e948c098e174871
