Oh! So, for music production u want something as flat as possible, this are not bad, but maybe slightly bassy (for music production obv, cus this are not bassy at all) probably something like the Fission if u still want some sparkiness in the treble, but buying something studio focussed and not this type of iem is way better in that sense...(And u can get overear studio for really cheap, im not really into this Sector, but i have friends that works professionally and rarely they use iem). So don't count the music production in ur buy for iems, cus audiophile and music production are 2 separate things. My raccomandation rn are: U want bassy (not basshead obv) and warm (like a Jbl speaker): Kiwi ears Airoso U want basshead (don't start with a pure basshead set like the Legato, the Martilo..., never) U want best neutral (with great trebble so not completely flat): Tanchjim fission U want "neutral" with boosted bass (like the red...): if Qc work, Defiant? (But slightly more get u a lot more) Like the Ziigaat (Ziigoat) odissey and sincerely 99% of iem are tuned like this...so pick ur favorite Budget (under 50 and even 40/30) Warm (my goat) and comfy af(important, cus the Red are massive...):Kiwi ears Cadenza Bass: Qkz x Hbb Cheaper: Kz edx pro 2 (try this mf) My main: Kiwi ears Airoso (music), Ziigaat arete (gaming)
Been having a blast with the Sgor Luna as well. Technicality is amazing and I couldn't agree more with the general consensus gathered around it, although it was a little tad bit boring compared to my first iems, the kz edx pro 2. But I bet you can EQ it to your own preferences if you are willing to minmax out the iems' overall resonance, I also have an EQ that I have refined for my own personal taste- for me, it sort of opens up the soundstage by a discernable degree. If you like to EQ I suggest you can EQ it with respect to the type of driver an IEM has, so treble and mids are probably the areas where you can hone it to its fullest potential as it is a planar driver. I got one for less than 10 bucks on AliX using coins and this thing kinda slaps. I felt duty bound to leave a quick impression. I’d say it’s fairly neutral with a bass boost. Both mid and subbass are slightly elevated and the sound is more subbass focused. I picked this up with the more midbass focused Gale, which also slaps for the price. The edx pro 2 won out between the two in this case however because I couldn’t get over how clear the treble presentation was despite a fairly thunderous subbass, in a single dynamic driver set. For less than 10 bucks. The midbass still had plenty of kick and overall the low end was more nicely layered than it had any right to be. Vocals did not lag behind the bass and treble, and the set avoids the thin sound that typically plagues the under $10 price segment. Whenever I buy a really cheap set I don’t want to take out of my ears, that’s like crack cocaine to me. The resolution and tuning made this one impressive so I just wanted to give it a quick shout before the inevitable wave of “edx pro 2 gud” posts roll in. Slapped a KZ upgrade cable and some nicehck C04 tips on mine. KZ stock cables and tips suuuuck. So that’s it, just a quick super-budget update. Spend wisely friends.
My fellow budget connoisseur lol. EDX Pro 2 just took the title for “Best Bassy Set under $20” for me. If they tune this driver neutral the Bunny is gonna start sweating.
Actually it sounds a lot cleaner than an EDC Pro to my ear. I don’t randomly hype $10 kz sets man, these are a marked improvement from their previous releases. It’s remarkable, so I made a remark.
I wholeheartedly agree. I bought a pair and the resolution is bonkers for what I paid. It’s KZ’s “next gen super linear” budget driver that they also use in the Gale. I just got mine too but I’m enjoying it way more than I thought I would.

It's bassy, resolving, well tuned, for its price is absurdly good, and thanks god is not hyped for influencers... Mine got a Nf Acous NA20 stock cable and the eartips are Trn T... what more do you want?
Those are my favorite ultra budget sets atm, for 10 usd or less you can't go wrong with these Iems, better than the Libra X, so much better than the EDC Pro or the EDX Lite
With EQ you can boost that Libra X bass, I got mine modded with a low density tuning foam, for its price it's absurdly technically capable, maybe that's right, it's better for gaming, but I prefer the EDX Pro 2 and Gale, definitely the trifecta of ultra budget kings
Kz edx pro 2 from me quite fun IMO for my first budget iem. Primarily focuses on v shaped tuning; my hot take is it's bassy, retains mids, and trebles. Quite literally blew my bose headphones out of the water except on soundstage, personally clarity is phenomenal on the IEMs.
For the price, I really like KZ Gale and EDX Pro 2 (coming in the mail). They have almost the same exact tuning, except EDX Pro 2 has higher bass overall. Nice smooth treble, vocals aren't pushed back, sibilance is minimal, and bass is satisfying. I still can't believe I only paid $7 for Gale. Crazy value. ZVX Pro, EDC Pro, Libra X, Vader, Trio, Hydro, Saga, all pretty good, although I certainly wouldn't pay full price for any of those, only on a good sale. I like Decet with a good EQ the most of all my KZ IEMs. I heard Zenith is really good too but never ended up buying one.
Hey, nice. We've had a lot of the same sets it looks like. Loving Gale so far for the price. Got 2 of them on early bird deals. One for $7.29, and the other for $5.26. Had to get the second one for that price. Also have EDX Pro 2 on the way just to see which I like better. Man, I really need to try the Zenith...
Heck yeah! Love this set as well. Was genuinely fully satisfied by it and got it for less than a McDonalds meal.
I was shocked too. EdX Pro 2 and Gale are both extremely good for the price. These are mine 😁 https://preview.redd.it/brp1gtw5pcmf1.jpeg?width=4017&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b05b64e86a5a52962e56f184427a0f437a0a2af6
The Zenith is the best one by a large margin for me, the Gale would be my second choice (EDX Pro 2 has the same tuning and about 2-3dB more bass, I prefer the balance of the Gale though, both are an incredible value for the price (+/-$8-9)). I have or had at some point the Hydro, PRX, Saga (both), Castor (both), Libra (hi-res and balanced), ZVX, ZVX Pro, Vader Balanced/Trio, ZS12 Pro X, EDC Pro, D-Fi and Polaris, of this sets I like the Saga Balanced the most.
For a bit more bass/sub-bass (+/-2-3dB) the EDX Pro 2 have the same tuning with just a bit of bass boost. https://enemyspider.squig.link/?share=GALE,EDXP2 Edit. If you have one there is no need for the other, they sound really close to each other.
I think is better this way than a balanced and a bass enhanced version of the same model. Yes, there is not much publicity, shame because they are nice indeed especially for the price. Edit. They got rid of the (awful) mesh filter and use a damper instead that alone should be reason enough to promote it.
Yes about the cable, I feel the same but this are low cost and is understandable the Zenith on the other hand is an absolute shame, they make it really difficult to reconcomed without mentioning a new cable.
I have it (for a couple of days now) and like it better than other KZ offerings like the EDX Pro 2, Gale and ZVX Pro, the treble is lower than the ZVX Pro but not as low as the Gale it has no peaks or harshness for me. I really like the tuning. To me it sounds fuller than the ZVX Pro and more detailed than the Gale/EDX Pro 2. They are very tip sensitive they come with short stem Starlines (which I usually skip but) those are the ones that worked better for me after trying a wide variety, tips mostly affect the treble and with some it can become harsh. Kunten > Gale > EDX Pro 2 > Polaris > ZVX Pro (it has too much treble for me).
Yes for the Gale and EDX Pro 2 (but isolation and build quality are a bit worse, the Kunten looks and feels better on hand) not so much for the ZVX Pro they have too much treble and I find the Polaris uncomfortable.
