"For an open style earbud, these genuinely surprised me with their overall performance in sound at this price point. ... "How much of a difference does a little 5 ohm impedance bump make? A whole hell of a lot actually. ... we get a HUGE bass boost in the balance of this IEM, running into the mid range and smoothing out the treble. If you add foam tips into the equation, what you get is a bassy, new meta-like sound with a much fuller mid bass and lower mid range, making for much richer male vocals while eliminating Harman shout and spice. Once adapted, the set has a much more pronounced mid bass kick and texture, and will satisfy a fair amount of bassheads. ... All in all, the adapter makes it sound like a completely different IEM, and that makes for a pretty versatile, choose-your-own-adventure style experience."

"Especially with regard to micro details, fine nuances and subtleties, they IE900 excel given the right source and audio files. ... Upper frequencies on the IE900 are never fatiguing, always in control and did I mention the extension? Simply amazing what Sennheiser can do with just one small 7mm dynamic driver here. ... Many multi driver IEMs would (still) struggle to compete in bass and treble extenion vs. the IE900. Simply put, it is "flagship level" treble here (as it should)."
"Regarding the treble, definitely an improvement compared to the ZS10 PRO X; They are not sharp like their ancestor, they are well detailed, but they do not penetrate your ear causing that characteristic discomfort. It's so soft to hear the cymbals sizzle after the beat, but without that feeling of penetration."

Lots of BUDGET options, I'm currently loving a pair of £10 (Amazon)FiiO JD10 USB C IEMs, they have built in tuning modes so I saves faffing around with your player. They also do the 3.5mm version of your player doesn't support usb audio. I also have a pair of KZ EDX PRO IEMs which are good, they're even better now I've switched the 3.5mm cable for an upgraded silver usb c cable 👍🏼 So check the FiiO & KZ ranges, not all of us can afford £200 on a pair of ear candy 😉 oh and I listened to everything from classical to blues, k-pop to metal, dance to jazz 😂 quite eclectic
r/iems • V-shaped Tuning IEM recommendations? ->I use the edx pro as my "if it breaks or gets lost no big deal" set, they're absolutely fine for general daily use, got them with 3.5mm cable and they sounded fine, plugged them into the usb c upgraded cable and they sound pretty damn good! Definitely worth the few $

r/HeadphoneAdvice • Which KZ iem is the best? ->I had some fun around a year ago evaluating some of KZ's ultra budget IEMs. The one KZ ultra budget IEM which I liked is the EDX Pro X even though it is very slightly too bright around the 2 kHz region. The beauty is that this issue is easily fixed by using the very simple EQ settings which are available on cell phones and on most really cheap DAPs.
r/iems • what is the best iem at $5-10 price range? ->I guess that I am going to purchase yet another KZ iem. Truthfully, the EDX Pro X wasn't bad at all, other than being somewhat too bright in the 2 kHz region. I was impressed by the overall resolution.
