My first one - KZ EDX. (Non pro version) It felt like I am listening to something completely different. I was hearing details in songs that I never knew existed. I was hearing footsteps loud and crisp in games. RIP 2021 - 2025.
I've only had 3 iems so far 'coz I'm broke, but out of the 3 I have, the Kinera Celest Wyvern Blacks impressed the hell out of me coming from a KZ ZEX and a KZ EDX. Currently looking at Juzear x Z Reviews Defiant next
Kefine kleans have a great look, excellent build quality, quality cable, nice sound but are slightly quiet for me when comparing to zero2, simgot ew200,trn conch, chu2, kz edx
Can you compare bass in them? I got KZ EDX and for me the bass in them are too much soo i need something softer, chat gpt said that Moondrop chu ll are less bass than KZ Castor, is it true?
>Because sound is not everything in esports. As a pro, u want to afford earbuds that could help u to make the rightest decision or boost your game performance. IEMs can can give you that boost. >Every pro will have their own's aspect in the game to focus. IEMs can give you that aspect to focus on. >HyperX earbuds are made for gaming unlike the iems we are talking here. I owned a pair of Cloud I and II IEMs and the KZ EDX sounded waaay better overall in terms of audio quality. Directional audio seems on par as well as resolution but the EDX's cost 5 times less. Final Audio VR ones are made for directional audio and those are great for gaming. But yeah, adding "gaming" on something doesn't mean they're better for gaming than the ones without the tag. >atlest that's the case for me because of how lightweight and ergonomics they are than music IEMs. Lots of light options too and are more comfortable than some gaming IEMs. It's a sea of options that everyone will have something that would be great for them, not only for music but for gaming as well. Heck even the Moondrop Quarks II DSP does better than the Cloud IIs. >But over-ears headphone will always give you imcomparable soundstage/resolution over IEMs. True. But then again, soundstage and resolution isn't the be all and end-all. As I mentioned earlier, I have headphones in my collection as well but I still prefer using IEMs mainly for the comfort and the fact that intimate sound gives me better reaction to audio cues. I'm mainly disagreeing on the side that says IEMs should never be used for gaming and that the headphone form factor is ALWAYS superior.
I would go with those for the absolute budget vs kz. I've had QC issues with my kz edx, cca cra and qkz vk4. But I would go with one of the over 2 for a lightning port iphone + item as the best budget price/performance.
Time to get myself the highly rated KZ EDX and TRN V30 i guess. Since u/strtftr said they’re all better than the Airpods Pro 2. Stop the circlejerk lmfao. The guy is asking a genuine question, try not be a jerk every once in a while
hi friend. i opened several threads to see if anyone could help me hehe this sigmot costs 200 dollars here in brazil :( i wanted to buy something cheaper when it comes to iem, because i was traumatized by the kz edx i tested and it was very loud when shooting, it hurt my ear. does changing the cable change the sound at all? i've read that it does, but i don't know how much it changes and if it's true. hum, now I get it, and by doing this equalization, doesn't it also interfere with hearing footsteps and even the direction of gunshots? are the sound of footsteps and gunshots high-pitched? I see, the iem is physically uncomfortable.
u/FatalGamer1 Mate, I don't speak English very well, I speak Portuguese and Spanish, I'll try to make sure you understand me. I'll try to watch some of his stuff. I don't know anything about audio haha What I play a lot is rainbow six, and occasionally warzone, but both are fps, I need to hear the footsteps, their direction, as well as the shots, explosions. My preference is for plug and play, or something that I have to equalize but that I can find step by step. My focus is PC, I occasionally play games on the console (ps5) and I don't even have a headset on the console, so I need to buy one, but nothing too special in this case. I want it wired, I don't like relying on batteries. My only experience with an IEM was a KZ Edx which I hated, the sound was very shrill when shooting, I ended up returning it and continued with my Hyperx Revolver, I don't know which iem would be good. I see a lot of people talking about the Dunus Titan S, but in my country it costs 100 dollars, I don't know if an IEM headset is worth that price. I even have a preference for headsets/headphones, but I'll use either one, I'd just try to balance the cost and quality of both. I don't know anything about equalization, and I assume that I find the subject of audio very boring haha That headset you mentioned is wireless, and it costs 450 dollars in my country, my hyper revolver s headset costs 105 dollars, the SHP9500 that I hear a lot of people talking about is also in the 105 dollar range, I'm saying this to get an idea of prices in my country. The Nova Pro Wired is costing 400 dollars, is it that much better than my current one? About the terms quality, stage and so on, I have a lot of confusion because I don't understand anything, I'm terrible at this subject, and unfortunately because I don't speak English that well, maybe it's complicated for me to explain what I want, what I would like is a headset that allows me to extract everything that the game provides in terms of audio, I would like to hear footsteps as far away as possible with the best definition of where those footsteps are coming from (right, left, upper floor, lower floor) as well as noises of shots, explosions. This audeze costs 900 dollars kkkk, I can afford it, but I don't have the guts to do it kkkkkk I had researched the wired hyper cloud 3, and read some complaints about the audio being bad, bad microphone, that I ended up giving up on the idea, the wireless one I didn't research because I prefer wired. The astro a50 costs 400 dollars or so, and I don't know if it's worth the price either, if it's so superior to my current one either. I was giving these studio headphones a try, even if I had to buy a separate microphone, but I don't know if they're as superior as my current one, for much higher prices. I don't know if I've managed to make you understand what I'd like, basically it's to hear footsteps from as far away as possible, being able to tell if they're upstairs, downstairs, etc. And thank you for trying to help, thank you very much!
u/breachless This pc38x is only used in my country, and costs 300 dollars approximately. The Crinacle zero red costs 100 dollars here, I live in brazil, and all the products we are buying by import, the government has started to tax almost 100%, or I import and pay 100 dollars, or buy directly from some seller in my country for 105 dollars. About the kz, it was the only iem I tested, which was a kz edx and I hated it, the shooting sound was very shrill, it hurt my ear haha, but I assume it's a very cheap headset, but I traumatized with this brand kz, this beaver you indicated doesn't happen like that? All those iem you mentioned, do I have to use them with a dac? how do you use them? In fact, I'd need a microphone, because I use it to talk to the people who play together, and about my hyperx revolver, the microphone is very good. You could write a book, your message was very helpful :) I said in a previous message that before using my hyperx revolver s, I used a Samsung headset that came with my cell phone, and it was without a tip, and I didn't have a problem with that, I used it with ease.
