Your Sony were 10Ohm, Zeros are 16Ohm so there should be a difference with a same source. Zeros are known to be uncomfortable based on your ear canals size. Don't hesitate to return them. For the price get a cheap dac (like 8 dollars) from AliExpress and get iems with standard bore size. There are good entry-level bass oriented iems like the Qkz x HBB Hades or 7Hz Legato. or even KZ castor bass pro

Okay. You sold me on them. I ordered a pair. I'm hoping for the best. I do enjoy the KZ Castor Pro for music and gaming. Love those, so I'm hoping these at least match them.

Will do. The delivery time is sometime next week so it will be a bit. Edit: They came in. Crazy rumble and boom. I love em. Just vibing out with em. Thanks for the rec!

Pretty good. They really do bass well. It's rough on busy tracks, but for movies and hip-hop/lofi, this is a banger. I'll be keeping these.

Here are some recommendations under $50 or can be found most of the time under $50. KBear Rosefinch 7hz Elua (not ultra version) QKZ HBB Hades (you say you don't care about details, stage etc but you may regret your words after hearing this.) 7hz Legato (if you can stretch like $10, this one has the most dynamic and engaging bass among my recs.)

Hades makes every other cheap basshead set feel like God's grace. Take any other basshead set and do you think it's muddy, bad vocals, has no mid, treble, stage, resolution etc? Hades will make you eat your words. It has extremely stupid amount of bass with no texture, it's dark, overly muddy, boomy, congested. Legato bass has texture, hits very hard and pleasant. Other frequencies are very acceptable for the final purpose. I have seen reputable reviewers criticizing Legato with vocals etc but personally I find those takes immature and ignorant of its purpose. It wasn't tuned as a pure basshead set only but trying to give the feeling of old, classic subwoofer sets. And it succeeds very much if you ever have been familiar with that sound. (that might give ideas about your age also.)

As bassy as Rosefinch? sadly none, if you can wait for a Sale, QuietSea II (which is $70 stock). We bassheads really are starving out here in the $50 price range. Now, if you want only bass, no exageration, like literally only bass, consider QKZxHBB Hades.

I have the Rosefinch, Legato, and Hades. The Hades sucks. I mean I think it *technically* it has the most bass but it's not as good as the other two imo I've been eyeing the Diablo and Armor for my next basshead step up

If you want your skull punched through just get a QKZ - HBB Hades for the fraction of the price. It's got MORE bass than any of these iems, they are hella scaleable. And this is coming from a person who A/B'ed both Scarlet Mini and Hades.

It really depends on each people ears and taste in music. Basshead or normal people usually like v shaped iem, even if it's cheap one like qkz hbb they gonna pick it over 64audio u12t for example

For hip-hop, my go-tos are the QKZ x HBB pair. Less than $20 and quite good at that price. The Chu 2 DSP version does quite well with hip-hop tracks also. I test with “Stir Fry” from Migos, “Kick Push” from Lupe Fiasco, and (if an IEM can handle those two), “How Low” from Ludacris. The QKZ x HBB passes all three levels with flying colors. The Chu 2 DSP is quite good as well (and better than the regular Chu 2 to my ear). Hope that helps.

Ok. Cool. Good rec because I’m looking for a better basshead IEM than the QKZ x HBB. I don’t listen to a lot of newer Rap but Old School Hip-Hop is my jam: De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Common, and The Roots in particular.
