Started with the kz zst, moved on to the zsn pros, they felt like a sidegrade, different taste, in fact I preferred the zst. Then my brother lost the zst and also the zsn pros so I got the 7hz zero... Not impressed NGL, they were so boring and thin sounding (it was early on and I didn't know about my tuning preferences) dull! But they were unreal with EQ, amazing!!! 😍 Then I got the s12 and I was once again disappointed 😞 it was so bright! And... Honestly not that special (I was driving them out of my computer's headphone jack). Then I got the VE Abigail pro dongle and it was an improvement but they were still way too trebly and sharp and bright. Then I got a bunch of stuff... - cvj mei (The timing differences of the various drivers made these unlistenable for me) - tripowin piccolo (gave it away, too safe) - ew200 (way too bright and thin and lean but these are amazing drivers for EQ) - Trn conch (good accessories but bad treble but amazing for mods) - kiwi ears cadenza (I wish they fit me, a lil too v shaped for my taste) - kz dfi (why have I been spending so much when 5 bucks is enough?) - zvx (opened it up cause I suspected the driver was revised, I was right, quite trebly) - PR2 (shout city but planar for 15 bucks, whatever, awesome for EQ and mods, king of price to performance, recently got another one for 7 bucks, ridiculous!!!!) - Zs10 pro 2 (typical kz tuning stock, amazing for EQ, this was my first proper hybrid, competes with planar maybe 🤔) - tangzu fudu (awesome for 30 bucks on sale, good tips and cable... I wish I could get it again for that price, Zs10 pro 2 with EQ is better and cheaper so nevermind) - oh yeah and the xsl X one! (Ew200 has a better driver fight me, tuning is super fun though.) - faaeal iris 2.0 (earbuds are something else huh... Shame they hurt my ears) Then I quit for a while and now ima make my own iems, thanks for the opportunity to remember the journey My faves are prolly the zst, ew200, Zs10 pro 2, D-fi and probably the PR2 at the top. I always EQ and mod, fudu is probably the best stock, or d-fi
r/iems • What was your first experience with more expensive IEMs like? ->I'd say the cheaper and more comfortable the better. There are some really good options in the $10-$30 range. I've personally enjoyed dozens of hours in PUBG with the KZ ZVX, Moondrop Chu 2, and Artti R6. My favorite ever were my IE300 from Sennheiser but those could be considered more "premium." Their successor, the IE200s are on sale for $100 right now.
r/iems • Best IEMS for gaming?
r/audiofiliabrasil • Seu Primeiro IEM: Indicações ->OP! I have the og zvx too. I mostly liked the sound of that, except for the highs, there's a bit of metallic sheen on the top notes, I don't know how else to describe it. My gripes about it are that the the iem's connector to the cable is angled out. I have to CONSTANTLY adjust the iems so that the ear hook is on my ear, or they'll fall out. How's the connectors on these? I'm very tempted, but I won't be buying if it's the same connectors again.
r/iems • KZ ZVX PRO review- The most solid sound... just forget about the og version ->Which sounds better? Well my friend, it depends on what type of sound you are looking for. I think the KZ Libra If you're looking for good bass, I believe the KZ ZVX might please you. I could also recommend the KZ D-Fi for good detailing, but it has common filter clogging problems.
r/iems • Is it smarter to get multiple budget IEMs or invest in one good mid-range set? ->I have several of them, such as the EDC Pro, Libra X, Krila, D-Fi, ZVX – all very good and inexpensive. They might not last very long, but they were an excellent entry point for someone who was used to generic brands.
r/iems • Love them or hate them, KZ changed the game ->The Zenith is the best one by a large margin for me, the Gale would be my second choice (EDX Pro 2 has the same tuning and about 2-3dB more bass, I prefer the balance of the Gale though, both are an incredible value for the price (+/-$8-9)). I have or had at some point the Hydro, PRX, Saga (both), Castor (both), Libra (hi-res and balanced), ZVX, ZVX Pro, Vader Balanced/Trio, ZS12 Pro X, EDC Pro, D-Fi and Polaris, of this sets I like the Saga Balanced the most.
r/iems • Best KZ IEM ->EDIT, Please ignore some of this, after much recent listening, I am fairly certain that there is likely to be a hearing imbalance between my left and right ears, and they do not hear frequencies in exactly the same manner. One leans towards more sensitivity in high frequencies, and the other towards bass frequencies, so this is not just a volume imbalance, but more. So I have to revise my opinions. Definitely the ZVX and the two copies of SAGA Balanced, which I own, in spite of my own hearing situation, their imbalance was beyond what I can attribute to my own hearing. I'll revisit the PRX, cos it could be my own ears !! Initial Post below : I own PRX, Polaris, 2 of the SAGA Balanced, ZVX, EDC Pro, Castor Pro Harman, Libra X, CCA CRA, EDX Pro X. The bad. ZVX paint started peeling within 48 hours of use, and within 4 months, one earpiece of the pair, had a drastically reduced volume. Both SAGA balanced pairs are no longer usable cos of imbalances between left and right in the pair - maybe I'll see if I can salvage a working pair from the earpieces in both pairs ! By and large one main issue with KZ/CCA is the possibility of level imbalances between left and right earpieces, it seems to be a bit more pronounced, compared to IEM's from other manufacturers. My other IEMs are the 7Hz Zero 2 and the ARTTI T10. The EDX Pro X, I bought 3, sorry this product is abominable, and has no redeeming qualities. Not sure who this is for. Poor quality at a low price, not worth the false economy of a cheap product. The acceptable. CCA CRA was my 1st IEM, and I loved the improvement over my AKG K702's. ZVZ was OK, improved high frequencies and clarity, but the channel imbalance and eventual unreliability, as well as the inadequate bass, makes this a buyer beware product ! Libra X was too bright. Way too bright, all the EQ in the world could not address this flaw. Only for treble heads EDC Pro is excellent - best of the sub $10 KZ's. Polaris is OK, but I would not call it one with clarity, a bit harsh. SAGA Balanced - great balanced sound, but unfortunately the product has manufacturing flaws, which I experienced on 2 examples. I loved it so much I ordered a 2nd one, but sadly there is an issue with the product reliability, and consistency. And that includes different frequency response between left and right, on my 1st pair. The excellent With a few caveats, the PRX is a superb product, but the stock ear tips, in my opinion, do not pair well with the IEMs. So with 3rd party ear tips, and some EQ to reduce the excessive high frequencies, it's a decent product, with lots of clarity, and a very respectable audio reproduction. At this time I am interested in one or more of these, to complement the PRX, which I am relatively happy with (once EQ's and using better ear tips) : KZ AM16 KZ ZA12 KZ Decet Not easy deciding between them. In the same way that PRX introduced me to a commendable budget planar, which would need me to spend a lot more, to get any better, these other three seem to be the best bang for the buck, as an introduction to All Balanced Armature, Hybrid, and Multiple Dynamic Driver configurations. My preference is for neutral, maybe with a little bass emphasis. Analytical is high on my priority list, Clarity is ultra important, and above all if I spend money on a product, it MUST be reliable.
r/iems • Best KZ IEM ->It would recommend KZ Libra X (silver one) or KZ ZVX if you want something in that direction. Both have fairly balanced tuning and decent bass. Kz castor harman have clean bass that is nice if that what you want. But if you want fun punchy rumbly bass, this aint it. Or get KZ Castor pro bass for good quality fun bass but still not overwhelming like the og castor bass.
r/iems • KZ Castor Harman or 7Hz Zero:2 ->I have the OG ZVX in silver (not the revision) and the Pro in black. These are two KZ IEM’s I will keep until they stop working.
r/iems • KZ ZVX PRO review- The most solid sound... just forget about the og version ->Zvx pro is arguably better and doesn't cost much more. The original zvx was silently retuned to something worse, a practice which kz seems to have happily abandoned, and the new zvx pro is better tuned and has smoother treble than the og
r/iems • Which should I buy as a first-timer for playing ps5? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
