My first IEM was the Moondrop Rays. I got it a few weeks ago mostly for gaming at home, but now I want a daily-driver IEM in the $200–$400 range

Moondrop Rays but not because they're the best but because they're the most versatile. Easy to EQ and already have a bunch of game specific profiles. The inline mic is also one of the better ones I've used. They are also an all in one solution, mic, dac, usb extension cable included in the package.

I'm new to IEMs so take that with a grain of salt. but I went with the Moondrop Gravity Rays at $100 they were cheaper then the "gaming headphones" I was looking at. They come with USB-C and DAC in the cable, and they work well. so no need to buy a DAC These are my first IEM, but i like them I play Delta force and footsteps are important, and they are clear much clearer then my Steelseries Arctis Pro 3 i was coming from. Highs and mids are clear and bass is reduced from the previous headset. I hear footsteps clearly, and directional is usually really good. Playing COD it is easy point out direction and distance. But foot steps in that game are much closer then Delta Force. Direction is really easy to pin point except for explosions directly forward or behind. and i mean directly on the center line sometimes it feels like it is behind me when it's infront, but again that is only when the sound is directly in the middle, if that makes sense and might be more of a limitation with two speaker IEM then the rays specifically. Also I play PC only i guess they don't work out of the box on PS5 You can tune them via a web UI no software to install or update. I rarely switch then from the setting i have now. The Mic works, and get no complaints from teammates, and the cable is comfortable on my ears I don't like them for music I only use them for gaming and i've never used the GK Kunten so I can't compare

They are just cheap and they ruin the IEM's just by associating themselves with your audio signal.. ruins everything, I've never seen one that worked well and the moondrop rays I had for about 8hrs and the next day they went back to amazon, aint got time for that circle jerk.

Moondrop Ray probably. Has an app with a lot of EQ presets for games. People get too hung up on a "gaming" IEM, when the regions that certain queues you'd want to listen for are different in different games. There are some basic things like imaging and treble extension that help, but different games need different frequency cuts and boosts

If you're gonna use IEMs for gaming, be warned that not every one of them are suited or tuned for the requirements of gaming. The only one I know that is good is the truthear zero red and moondrop ray. There are other ones that are good for gaming as well. AFAIK, you need one with a lot less sub bass. Some IEMs that are really good for music would suck for gaming, so do a lot of research first.
