Aful p5+2, myer audio ck2v, kiwi ears ke4, epz p50, ziigaat odyssey. The 200$ish range has a lot of hidden gems based on my experience, so check them out. For EDM I think you need a good textured bass, great instrument separation, and good treble extension, but that's my preference, so I can hear the details from what the producer intended.

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't tried KE4 personally but I own the ck2v so I tried to EQ to KE4 frequency target, and listen to comparison video from Glenn Gane Audio channel. I liked the default CK2V more because the low end is a lot punchier, more rumble than the KE4, other than that the treble and vocal is pretty much the same.

Wow glad to help. About this I still haven't got any info about the other competitor for this sound signature, tried the 61t butterfly, treble feels too smooth, tried the blessing 3 the bass is less boomy, and the details is not as resolving as the ck2v

Honestly this is my best buy of 2025. Snuggle fit and the sound left me very impressed, I had my eyes on Aful p7, but pulled the trigger on CK2V, and to my surprise it is more natural sounding after comparing it to my friend p7, so I don't have any complaints at all.

I listen mostly to techno and trance, but also do like some drum'n'bass every now and then. I do like some good bass rumble. I have the martilo and kiwi punch. I also can recommend the hidizs MK12 with red tips, these have better mids for more melodic music with also good punchy bass. If you don't mind alot of details in the highs with also some good bass, have a look at the Cklvx Ck2v. Another one good all rounder for electronic music styles is the juzear 61t. From all above I prefer the Kiwi hbb punch, if I want deep sub bass with smooth mids and highs. For a proper Dac, get the Onix Alpha xl1, and if you want a very powerfull cheap one, the venture electronics devastator is my preferred simple wired dac. They power all the above iem's without compromise.

I feel like you have to push to at least $200 for something your can quit on. At $150 you're still looking at entry hybrids which have weak points. You can get a hell of a good 1DD for $150 though and there are more options than ever now. Of the ones you're looking at, MP145 pro is the best pick imo. CK2V is a bit too spicy up top, S12 ultra is a bit too smoothed compared to previous S12 models. If I had to choose a single $150 IEM it would be a 1DD like the FD15 or the Woodnote, or something similar. For a hybrid I would push the price a bit and get the TRI i3 mk3 and EQ it, or do the same with something like Adonis New or BQEYZ Frost. Or get an Orchestra Lite on sale. Dunu 142 could be good too but I haven't tried it. Many $150 hybrids aren't going to sound like much of a step up from the Defiant is the issue.

CKLXV CK2V - not many people talk about it, it's beautiful and musical (plus I love the matching modular cable, stuffs like Xenns Top Pro doesn't have color matching cable really irk me), I'm really impressed with it even from the sound test on Glenn channel. The tonality is sooo similar to Mega5 EST too.

7hz Diablo, Dunu x Koto Ito for bass head level bass yet still not muddy. And CK2V has very fun sub bass for a very technical set, SoundRhyme SR5S is great smooth, organic bassy set

It's CKLVX CK2V for me. But only be careful if you sensitive to upper treble (the lower-mid treble is very smooth tho), I like it more than many popular options like Aful P7, Daybreak, Tanchjim, Kiwiears stuffs... Even Xenns Tea Pro, It has that bass I want with natural, full, rich mid and airy treble - the small size and fit is almost perfect to me too (the nozzle is wide but it's short enough that spinfit eartips will do great fit - and they included spinfit-like stock tips too - although they're quite stiff) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQgQ1z3q0aNlot2JiqLotKIFt6wiEWjeg

CKLVX CK2V does that for me, truly great allrounder for both fun and technical capability, even gaming and immersive contents too, how that bass hit is something else, so clean yet dense and powerful (honestly I just love this bass for metal and EDM, it's all power and has speed decay for complex stuffs, no muddiness, still may not to basshead level but less fatiguing tho, I like it's bass way more than some expensive range set like Hype 4, Tea Pro, etc...), just bought another set for $130 this Aliexpress sale ($160 normal). The EM6L seriously lacking bass, and the treble while smooth for this price range can be too bright otherwise it's very good, Truther Nova is fine, and potential allrounder but also potential sibilant and lacking nozzle filter can affect it's longevity. Here's some comparison of CK2V vs other iems, try EQ whatever you using to listen to neutral flat for more correct presentation. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQgQ1z3q0aNlot2JiqLotKIFt6wiEWjeg

This can give you an idea, irl CK2V bass sound even more punchy and satisfying. Daybreak is weak in bass is understandable because Crin himself is not a fan of bass, the mid vocal is a bit better on Daybreak and air region is safer tho https://youtu.be/9UMWSWV1F2Y

Comfort is really a big factor! When I fit that shell of CK2V on my ears, It just feels so right! Despite large nozzle, almost all my eartips work well and comfortable with it

CKLVX CK2V, it just got everything right for me. There still tiny bit of refinement needed in the upper treble but I think I'm done, although I've seen endgame worthy kilobucks like Fiio FA19, Dunu Glacier... which are better and suit my preferences, but, diminishing returns

My fav in this range is CK2V: U-shape with powerful, yet clean bass and airy treble, uppermid and lower treble are very tame and smooth, Daybreak is good and a safe choice too but aware of broken nozzle issue and the bass may lacking for some genres. S12 ultra can sound overly warm and dull. 7hz Divine is good but also bright leaning set with low bass shelf, Kiwiears Aether too. Truthear Hexa is like dead sound to me "neutral reference" bs. Avoid Simgot stuffs, they mostly suitable for certain audiences who are fan of bright dry sound

I second this. I also think I like the CK2V more than the Tea Pro.

Second this! I got the CK2V in Black Fridqy as my first IEM in that price range and I was really impressed

Myer Audio CKLVX CK2V. My favourite set currently. \- Lots of detail \- strong Bass that doesn't interfere with vocals \- good soundstage \- Nozzle is 6mm but rather short (4,6mm) \- U-shaped
