"For me I think the S08 has a very nice rumble. Especially for a planar iem. ... In fact, in many ways Letshuoer bucked the planar trend by coming out with planars which sound remarkably similar to dynamic drivers in timbre but the speed of a balanced armature. ... "Regarding the treble, definitely an improvement compared to the ZS10 PRO X; They are not sharp like their ancestor, they are well detailed, but they do not penetrate your ear causing that characteristic discomfort. It's so soft to hear the cymbals sizzle after the beat, but without that feeling of penetration."

"The tuning vent thing is a really annoying, poorly thought-out gimmick that makes the tape mod essential, so you're locked into one tuning anyway. ... But also with the stock tips, you frequently have to fiddle around to avoid channel imbalances if you don't tape mod it, because the simple act of inserting the IEM into the ear has a random chance of changing the tuning."

I have 10-ish different models in the 10€ to 150€ range, mostly for PUBG and about 3000 hours in the game. Here are my top picks: - Tripowin Vivace 35€ - Simgot EM6L 120€ - Truthear Crinacle Zero blue 60€ (need AMP&DAC) - QKZ x HBB 20€ In that order. For other games, the Simgot and Crinacle Zero jump higher. The next ones can do, but not competitive: - Moondrop Quarks DSP 15€ - 7Hz Salnotes Zero 25€ - Apple earpods 3.5mm 20€ - KZ Zex Pro Crn 40€ Can't recommend for PUBG: - Moondrop Chu 25€ - Brainwavz Omega 15€ I recommend checking Fresh Reviews on Youtube, he checked many pricier models...

r/iems • What are your audio unpopular opinions? ->Yeah, those stock eartips… 😖 This was the first IEM where I noticed huge rather than just subtle differences with different ear tips. When I first listened to these out of the box I thought they sounded awful. No bass and the rest was screechy. I thought, what in the world? Aren’t these supposed to be really bassy and relaxed? What is this screechy mess? It took a minute for my brain to kick in and think to try different ear tips. When I did, it was a whole different sound. I mean, they’re still budget ear buds and it didn’t make them sound like something top of the line or anything, but they did finally sound like they were supposed to sound.
r/iems • I like the QKZ x HBB - am I a pleb? ->I definitely notice a difference. When I pick the QKZ x HBB and put them on, I usually think, hey, I really like these. But if I then switch to one of my higher end IEMs (and we’re only talking $150 - $300 range; I don’t have anything that cost more than $270), I immediately think, oh my, what was I thinking? I still like the HBB’s tuning, but the other IEMs are just so much better in how everything is presented - tighter, cleaner, clearer, more precise. So yeah, I think there’s definitely a noticeable difference between $20 IEMs and $150+ IEMs, and even between $20 and $50+ IEMs.
r/iems • I cant really tell the difference between 200$ IEMs and 30$ IEMs ->ZiiGaat x HBB Arcadia gets my head bobbing every time. I own the Explorer and Tea Pro IEMs as well. While they get close, neither has the rumble necessary to handle “Brass Monkey”, “Check the Rhime”, “How Low”, or “In Da Club.” The Arcadia aces the quiz with ALL of those tracks and everything else I’ve thrown at them. They are the go to under $200. For the ultimate value option: QKZ x HBB is a winning ticket under $20. Enjoy!

r/iems • IEMs BETTER THAN KZ CASTOR PRO? ->So I’ve spent a few months trying out a few different popular IEMs that fit within around a £20 budget to see what type of sound best suits me and I ended up sticking with the Castor Pro’s as my daily drivers. (And an example of ones I liked less would be tangzu wan’er) In terms of more expensive IEMs I’ve tried the QKZ x HBB but found that the bass is a bit too strong for my music. So I was hoping I could get some recommendations for a natural continuation from the Castor Pros, anything around 100 or less I suppose, that takes the positive aspects of those IEMs but increases it further.
