"while I had the EW200 I found them to be my most comfortable iems in my collections and since the EW300 are the exact same without the brightness I disliked about the 200's, the ew300 is a very decent purchase, so I'd say depending on your ears, if you have small go for the ew300"

"With this configuration I’ve found they work well with heavy metal (death metal, black metal, older albums that haven’t been remastered basically anything with distortion or a wall of sound) it sounds deep and heavy and full but still detailed enough in the drums and guitars to work vs anything less heavy or too clean sounds too thin and metallic and almost shrill imo."

Regularly use some G2 IEMs in smaller packages. Such a solid RF link. 15+ years old! Use G3 & G4 mainly because of infrared sync. Unless looking for rider compliance no need to go elsewhere.
r/livesound • Sennheiser Wireless IEM? ->I did exactly that with a Sennheiser EW-300 IEM G3 setup, we used it in mono for a year or so before we got the second transmitter. It worked totally great! If you can’t afford a good quality wireless system, don’t get a cheap one. Get good quality in ear drivers and run a wired IEM system (like beginner P2) instead, until you can afford good wireless.
r/livesound • Is it worth to buy a wireless in-ear setup on a lower budget ->kefine quatio are a good allrounder. great build quality and accessories for the price point as well otherwise ew300 are the cheaper allrounder i'd go for "do not give me the depth and personality in music i am looking for" based on this statement hexa's i'd probably avoid for you as they're quite neutral, sounds like you want a more engaging signature
r/iems • 80-150€ (shipping included) IEM recommendation ->i happen to like the ew300. how many hours have you listened to it? maybe you got a dud? or maybe you chose the wrong iem. maybe u need something more balanced and nothing like an ew300
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->I also own the Zero2, Ew300, and Eml6. I agree with your comments completely. Not just for FPS but general gaming they are great. I am going to test the MP145 because the soundstage is amazing on other media like YouTube. I will also throw in to the mix for you the Kiwi Quintet. You can get it used for a great price. It has great detail, separation, and directional audio. Worth a try for sure.
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->If you like the sound from the Zero2, then you'll love the EW300. I have the HBB version. Imagine the Zero2 but with much better detail separation. I've compared the Zero2 with other sets before, and it's always amazing for the price until tracks get very busy. The Ew300 is one of my favorite sets even though I own a few totl IEMs. The ew300 is incredible for the price. It performs way above expectations. Edit: forgot to mention the improved soundstage as well.
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->https://preview.redd.it/i93k3cl1e0le1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c1a8592c5f91eaf65b71fe3c35ddc26c5d0fa2a Hey dude! So I spent a little while going back and forth between them. The Zero2 is a very competitive IEM for being only $20. What the EW300 does great is taking that same awesome W sound signature and stretching it to a nice wide soundstage. I chose a track like this one which has lots of different instruments (layers) playing at the same time during certain parts. With busier Metal songs, the Zero2 struggles to separate instruments for sure. Something more laid back like this helps to compare with other sets. The EW300 has more clarity in the vocals and instruments. It's like taking a filter off of the Zero2 that makes everything clearer and wider. It's a great upgrade. Especially if you can get it used for a good price. Or on sale 👍🏻
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->It's a great first choice. When you are ready for a little extra, try the EW300. Or for a little more, the EM6L. By the way... Out of curiosity are you playing PC or console? How are you setting up your IEM?
r/iems • My first budget iem for gaming ->Interesting driver config - I'm not sure that I like microplanars though. I felt like there was something off with the EW300 treble, but I don't know if it was the PZT or microplanar. My feeling is that I prefer a full-scale planar like in the Shozy P20, than a micro version though. Know of any hybrid sets that are just DD and microplanar?
r/iems • What was your first IEM, and do you still use it? ->The EW300, very simple to like, great allrounder, and great for People coming from wireless consummer sound
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->Yeah, for 60-ish you already have a product better than all the wireless buds you could buy ahah, pretty crazy value if you ask me
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->Here's my journey in short: Brought the chu 2, impressed me a lot, got greedy, returned it and brought the ew300, extremely disappointed. My preferences (not in order): 1. Enough punchy bass without bleeding (this was what impressed me in the chu2) 2. Non muddied good mids (one of the two things that I hated about the ew300 was that it gets muddled in busy tracks and also seemed a bit recessed) 3. Lower treble (second thing I hate about ew300 being the weird piezoelectric metallic timbre and peaky treble) Current choices (kinda in order): 1. Aful explorer (doubtful about the bass bleeding and muddied mids) 2. Truthear hexa (I can live with lower bass and slightly brighter treble if it means I am getting cleaner mids) 3. Kefine delci 4. letshouer s08 (heard it has high planar treble) 5. Truthear nova 6. Tangzu fudu (free eartips) Feel free to recommend anything else.
r/iems • Recommend me an iem around 100 usd. ->Yes. The metallic timbre still presists though
r/iems • Recommend me an iem around 100 usd. ->1. Hekse (best overall) 2. Softear Studio 4 (best sounding iem for my music) 3. He6se V2 (more dynamic than Hekse but nostalgic as comfortable. Less spacious and open) 4. Aful Explorer (like a lesser Studio 4 for commuting. Very easy listening) 5. HD6XX (comfortable and the baseline benchmark but not my go to) 6. Aful P8 (most boring sounding. Used to like it but not these days. Might be a good gaming iem but I don’t game anymore) 7. EW300 (it’s meh. Use for monitoring)
r/headphones • Rank your headphones (2025 edition) ->I have the Aful and EW300. Sold the Supermix 4. For gaming and or just big sound the supermix 4 is best but felt clinical. The Aful sounded the muddiest but it's actually not muddy at all, it's just very smooth and is my go to for all day fatigue free listening at work. EW300 is my backup that never gets used. Good all arounder but the smallest sound. These days, I use the Ziigaat Odyssey for music enjoyment.
r/iems • Which iem should i buy.? I prefer clarity and warm sound and i listen to all genre ->Yeah, I just wish I had bought them *before* my $200 and $400 sets. They're still more full than any of those though, so they have their place when the mood is right. For that, I will likely keep them.
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->Kefine Delci AE There is no other option. The EW300 is an absolute joke. Over hyped, over marketed. I mean, hell, the top post in this thread literally says "I hope they sound good". THEY DONT EVEN HAVE THEM YET!!! But they are telling you they are good, and that you should buy them. And likely have nothing to compare them to either. So at this point, it is just speaking out loud to justify their purchase, and convince themselves of their own confirmation bias. Unlike the vast majority of jabronis in this subreddit, I won't comment on things I don't own.
r/iems • Iem recommendations under 100 USD for gaming and music ->A lot of people got weird ear modes that gave it this strange almost ANC like nulls in the audio. Really weird tonality. Very ear dependent, very tip dependent, very depth dependent. Overall, just a less than stellar set.
r/iems • Iem recommendations under 100 USD for gaming and music ->Based on silver nozzles - similar in terms of Resolution and detail, or a little better with za12. Soundstage is not that different. Ew300 has thicker notes, and safer treble. Ew300 has more bass. Technically similar, and musically ew300 is better. But za12 costs half.
r/iems • KZ ZA12 REVIEW- best technicality under $50? ->People prefer EW300 because it has more bass and warm sounding. The treble is controlled and detailed. If you like the Harman curve, Supermix 4 is bang on that. It has better technicalities and is considered as value for money. Reviewers prefer it because how closely it matches the Truthear Nova which is one of the best IEMs in that price range if you want Harman Tuning.
r/iems • EW300 or Supermix 4 ->You are not making any sense. Please read what you said again. Or lemme give you an example. https://preview.redd.it/o7yc2s1folae1.png?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15b61384e78236968f8af28280356eef8757a1ab As you can see, EW300 follows Harman but it is vocal focused. Bass boosted and warm compared to the other two. They are hell bent on the Harman target. So, they are not vocal focused. They have slightly recessed mids but are natural.
r/iems • EW300 or Supermix 4 ->At the link is my full review of the Hidizs MS2 Pro: https://mobileaudiophile.com/in-ear-earphones-iem-iems-reviews/hidizs-ms2-pro-review/ Hidizs MS2 Pro Review -$99 MSRP ($69 sale) -Dual Driver Hybrid (1DD/1BA) -Three Tuning Nozzles Hello, at the link above is my full review of the brand new Hidizs MS2 Pro. I've spent about three weeks to a month with the MS2 Pro and I've had plenty of time to spend getting to know this set which I'm convinced is one of the best hybrid iems under $100. The MS2 Pro is built extremely well (mirror polished zinc alloy), with one of the more unique designs (rhino horn) that you'll find within its price point. It comes with a nice enough unboxing as well. However, like any audio product if it doesn't actually sound good then it might as well be a pretty looking paperweight. Thankfully, the MS2 Pro sounds very good folks. This set has a very fun U-shaped signature with plenty of solid macro-dynamic energy. The MS2 Pro has a warm/neutral and rich sound, great note weight, yet it doesn't skimp on the technical side of things either. In my opinion the MS2 Pro certainly leans warm musical and is very well adept to draw the emotion out of just about any track. I explain the sound in detail within my review from my perspective and I hope it's of some service to anyone looking for a solid iem under $100. No doubt this is a very good one. So, feel free to check out my thoughts if you'd like. Obviously every click helps but if not then just have a great rest of your weekend and take good care. 🔥🔥🔥 MS2 Pro Pros 🔥🔥🔥 -The zinc alloy shells are built like a tank -The design is slick and totally uniquely crafted -Tuning nozzles work nicely -Great tonal balance, very fun signature that’s also very clean, across the board -Deep guttural bass, punchy, clean -Rich and smooth midrange, solid energy & macro-dynamics -Non-Offensive treble region with plenty of brilliance and nicely detailed -Detail retrieval is actually pretty nice for such a tuning -Nice imaging -Soundstage has solid depth of field as well as good width for the cost 🥶🥶 MS2 Pro Cons 🥶🥶 -No carrying case -May become sharp nearing the upper mids for some -Bass may be too emphasized At the link is my full review of the Hidizs MS2 Pro: https://mobileaudiophile.com/in-ear-earphones-iem-iems-reviews/hidizs-ms2-pro-review/
r/iems • Hidizs MS2 Pro Review ->Very well actually. Both are extremely well tuned for their price point. The MS2 Pro is a bit more organic & musical and has less chance for glare in the upper mids, but the EW300 is a bit more detailed & analytical with its tuning. Both are truly fantastic sets for the cost.
r/iems • Hidizs MS2 Pro Review ->Yeah, if it's good stuff it will stay good. But the price sure is outdated, unless they reduce the price. Especially with tight competition like iems. Like my old moondrop aria, can be beaten by newest stuff at the same price like EW300.
r/iems • My first iem and first "expensive" headphones, and I'm a little confused. ->I haven't heard the Arete but have back to backed the Doscinos and Hype 4. To me the Hype 4 was significantly better but that's just my ears. The EW300 sounded very similar to the Hype 4s to me just less technical and nuanced but I was extremely impressed with them for the price.
r/iems • Best all BA set under $300? ->These are some that caught my attention when I researched before getting my first set in this price range. TBH the budget space is so crowded that it's really hard to pick. I feel like as long as it doesn't have overly negative reviews, and physically fit your ear great, you'll be ok. Hell, some people are even happier with some more budget sets in the $20 range. My top picks based on build are - Moondrop Lan - Kefine Klean (I own and love) or maybe spend a bit more for - Kefine Delci for the metal build and smaller body overall. If you want something prettier with a resin build (a bit lighter) - Kiwi Ears Cadenza (cheapest in this short list) - Truthear Red or - Truthear Blue 2 (also popular, but some complain about it being big) I think these are still pretty balanced, only a bit warm leaning - Inawaken Dawn MS (but looks to be leaning warmer, slightly V-shaped than neutral, which is not bad since neutral can be boring sometimes) I think the Truthears were popular for their technicals and great for EQ (tining), in which you said you don't need, though. least bass to most bass is probably Lan < Reds < Cadenza < Kefines < Blue 2 < Inawaken Dawn MS again, all still pretty balanced, the ones that are more on the right just have a bit more bass presence If you can spend a bit more, a very popular pick is the Truthear Hexa. More neutral and brighter (less bass) than the others listed. Or maybe the ew300 which looks pretty neutral but not as bright as the hexa.
r/iems • Best under $60 Balanced IEM? [No custom tuning] ->NOT the truthear zero blues. Awful pair of IEM's with my experience. The wall hack experience is not there. I 100% suggest the EW300's or some other suggestion
r/iems • IEM recommendations for gaming? ->In my expereince, the truthear zero blues, even with a seal (that is pretty hard to achieve in some people's cases like mine) don't do gaming all that well. First the gunshots are shouty so they cover up sound queues, the bass is alright and boosts the right frequencies for footsteps in-game that are deeper but the imaging, soundstage and vertical imaging was quite poor. If you are willing to gamble with the fit, they are a pretty OK pair of IEM's but they are starting to show their age 100%. For music they are quite lifeless so there's that. You could wait for the Truthear Zero Blue 2 which has a smaller nozzle with nicer bass but still similar "clean" sounding tuning. Maybe they'll fix the technicalities with this upcoming second version. I'd much rather pick the EW300's, the Kefine Delci (for a similar price)
r/iems • IEM recommendations for gaming? ->I would check out the EW300, very similar to the zero 2, and is more smoother, better techs, and more versatile than the zero 2s.
r/iems • Reccomend me a V shaped IEM in 100$ ->Juzear is out of the discussion for QC.. they have had major issues, dunno if they have been resolved, EW300, T10, S08 are all good.. id honestly prob go w/ the EW300 just based on the fact its more versatile imo, fits more genres.. t10 is an amazing planar imo > S08.. but im also an S15 fanboy because for a planar its soooooo silky smooth and just works with everything.
r/iems • Best build quality for the 50-100$ top ranked group? ->Absolutely. Got the EW200, EW300 from those lists 😂
r/iems • I was wondering if anybody bought an Iem by checking out the "Top 5 IEMs in every price range chosen by you!" // Criticism ->The EW300 is a fantastically tuned IEM. I love mine and pair it with an iPod classic 5th gen with rockbox
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->Ok so this if from my personal experience.... I have several iem range from sub 100 until 500 some I lent to my friends or I just keep on my house...I have several friends which audio hobbyist they have audio store so I have opportunity to try before I buy one..so someday I want buy 1000usd iem, read reddit and head-fi forum then go to my friend store...so I tried moondrop chu2 compare to my kadenz yes the quality is very different, compare again with letshuoer s15 the s15 better than my kadenz for my taste...so when I put monarch mk3 it's blow my ear, damn this iem so amazong and I decide to bought it....then several weeks later my friend call me then say I have 64audio tia demo and annihilator just come....with fully excited I'm going there when I tried both of them, I dont feel WOW like I tried monarch mk3 the first time then at that time I realize, mk3 is my peak and I cant tell the significant difference between mk3 - annihilator and tia So thats why I like to try and buy several 100-500usd iem and sometimes sub100 too because I can tell the difference and I can choose whats signature I want..like a week ago I choose simgot ea500lm rather than ew300 because I found the sound more aggresive because mostly my iem is warm and neutral.... So from my story, I have limitation and taste for me, spent 1000 iem in monarch mk3 is one of the best choise I ever made and beyond that price point my ears cant tell fhe difference so..but back again thats my experience and opinion....
r/iems • Is it Worth buying 2000 dollars set of iem? ->If you have local audio store maybe you can try several iems because I like simgot ea500lm better than ew300 both of them in similar price range in my country but back again thats more suitable to my taste because I have Kadenz which warm and neutral so I find something more aggresively and I found ea500lm is more suitable to me than ew300 in my taste....
r/iems • Best possible iem in the range of 60-80$. Considering the EW300 & Tangzu XuanNv ->I prefer the tonal balance of the EW300 to the Hexa because it's got a nice warm tilt that still sounds fairly clean, but it has a major issue with the midrange sounding muddled with anything busy, including distortion. If you're monitoring a guitar with distortion then it's probably going to sound mushy on the EW300. The Hexa isn't my favourite IEM, but it is pretty neutral and has no issues with things like separation & resolution. It's a bit lacking in bass weight but it has enough if it's for a 6 string and not a bass. Not sure if it's the best for metal either. Another neutral option I personally prefer to the Hexa is the Thieaudio Legacy 2. It's got a bit more bass (mainly sub-bass, so it doesn't bleed into the mids) and it's much more comfortable than the Hexa. The Hexa has quite big nozzles and some people find the shell shape awkward despite it being fairly small. The Hexa has better treble extension, but soundstage & imaging are both a bit better on the L2, which is another reason I prefer it for music listening. The Hexa can sound quite narrow & closed-in for some reason, although that won't matter at all for monitoring.
r/iems • Best iem under 100? ->Which S2? If it was the Titan S2 then that wasn't me. I have the original Titan S, but not the S2. I do have the HD660S2 but that's not an IEM. The Titan S does have a similar sort of tuning to the Hexa and I prefer it to the Hexa because it has much better bass. Although it does have slightly grainy treble at times, which is its main weakness. Come to think of it I don't think I've actually sat down and compared the Titan S to the L2 side-by-side. Going from general memory the L2 is slightly more vocal-forward and has smoother treble, but the upper treble on the L2 does roll off a bit, so it can seem a bit like it's lacking some "air". I find it to be pretty neutral, not fatiguing, and just not overly forward in that area. As in, it's more subdued, but it doesn't sound like you're missing a lot of timbre from cymbals for example, though something with more of that upper treble (like the Hexa) might sound more detailed. From memory I think the Titan S sits roughly between the Hexa and the L2 in terms of treble extension, but in terms of grain, the Titan is worst, the Hexa is slightly peaky and the L2 is the smoothest (but most rolled-off).
r/iems • Best iem under 100? ->How do they compare to the EW300 ? I just got the EW300 but I'm not a big fan of them, Pretty disapointed. Going back to the Cadenza's.
r/iems • 7hz G1 Best Budget Single DD ->Kiwi Ears Cadenza's are the best I've heard for Music only. I preferr them over the t3+, Zero red's, EW300 adn even Hexa's.
r/iems • Best iems for music on a budget? ->Newer isn’t better. The Hexa is a detailed neutral sound with a slight bass boost. The Nova has been around for a while, and is tuned to a Harman curve, which isn’t the most neutral or detailed sound out there. The EW300 is a nice IEM, and sounds quite different from the Hexa. You’ve already placed the order, so listen to them for a few days and decide if you like them or not. If not, you’ll have a better guide for that you might want to get in the future. The Hexa should sound better than those Zeros you mentioned. Age isn’t the issue. The Sony Z1R is over 7 years old and still regarded as a TOTL IEM. The Variations have been around for years, and are still respected iem’s. Concentrate on the sound, not the age.
r/iems • Is the Truthear Hexa still worth it in 2025? ->Cara, como fone neutro ele é muito bom sim, me arrependo de ter vendido o meu. Sinto que ele + algo como um EW300 seriam os fones perfeitos para eu ouvir todo tipo de música.
r/audiofiliabrasil • Sugestões de iems ->The sound you describe is basically how the Simgot tuning is supposed to be especially for that particular model. If you have done everything you can to adjust the sound and want something with better tuning then it's not a bad idea to return the ew300 and get something else which suits your preference more. The bloated bass you are experiencing is most likely from using narrow bore eartips but eartips can only do so much for an iem so that's pretty odd.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->These are pretty good. Wait for a sale. I got them for $55 when they're usually $70.
r/DigitalAudioPlayer • My R4 finally arrived and I’m in love with it so far but need a good set of IEM’s. Could I get some recommendations from people? Something that sounds good, is comfy and doesn’t break the bank? Tia ->simgot ea500lm & EM6L are both better than ew300.
r/iems • What are the best iems for gaming under 100 dollars? ->im talking about gaming only. ea500lm has better technicalities, soundstage & detail retrieval when compared to ew300 while gaming. i have tried all of them myself. ew300 is superior if you wanna listen to music & watch movies, but for gaming ea500lm>>. also you can always eq to make it warmer, it will still retain most of its technical capabilities.
r/iems • What are the best iems for gaming under 100 dollars? ->I have both but the ew300 has won out as my daily driver above all others.
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->Take a look at my review on the ew300 https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/mNgzr0kIwc
r/iems • Best IEM for gaming ->I'm going to be honest man, if you genuinely like something then save up for it. I liked the signature of a 2019 Andro and bought one. Zero regrets. If a more expensive set hits what you want it to do perfectly or near perfect then it is worth it. But do also take time to appreciate what you have. If you want a step up directly from the EW200 at some stage then the EW300 is quite good for the price, it will be a step up in timbre and tech. If you want something almost similarly meta but a touch cheaper then see if you can demo the Crinear Daybreak. It's my daily to work.
r/iems • Where do I go from here? ->Ew300 is a fantastic iem! I prefer the sound signature of it than the elder brother sm4 Ew200 is still my favourite bright sounding iem. Simgot did a great job with these two iems.
r/iems • Truthear Blue 2s are here ->I thought the bass was decent and the mids quite good. This is through a Topping DX1. I know ears are different for everyone but I wouldn't call them unbearable.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->I thought the only difference between the normal EW's vs the HBB was the finish on them.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->To me the ew300 is a bit lacking in the lower mids for some hard rock at least. Great iem otherwise though!
r/iems • Budget Metal/rock/punk lovers unite. ->EW300. You can argue it isn't neutral, but they respond so well to EQ it would be wrong to not even try out at the very least.
r/iems • Best neutral iems under 100 dollars. ->anything that has a smoother v shaped FR is already kinda bass bleeding a little, like if u dont like the ew300s, the aful explorer is dark leaning and the fact that ot has an emphasis on the bass and mid bass means its gonna overpower the mids more than the ew300s. s08 to me felt a little too dark and warm as well, i think the Delci might be more in ur range since its better balanced? but at the same time if u want proper separated mids, finding it in a v shaped iem is hard or non existent, ID rec more towards something like the new JM1DF target, the slight tuck but not really a tuck shape, helps separate the bass from the mids, or any more U shaped graph
r/iems • Recommend me an iem around 100 usd. ->Agreed EW300 is the worst I've ever heard that costs more than $50. Simultaneously too dark and muddy but also too bright and fatiguing at the same time. Very weird tuning. At least to my ears.
r/iems • Iem recommendations under 100 USD for gaming and music ->I play cs2 only… My journey was Red Zero, Gate, ew300 and now the absolute best and for me perfect (tested supermix 4 too) are the Simgot Em6l. Perfect imaging, steps, the perception of distance is incredible.
r/iems • Reccomend me a V shaped IEM in 100$ ->Ew300, em6l, supermix 4 Hybrids : DD + planar + piezo. DD + BA DD + BA + planar + piezo. All 3 are recommended for games.
r/iems • Are IEMs really good for gaming? I have a doubt. ->They are pros at games not audiophiles, and plus sponsors etc like you said. Go to the headphones sub, people asking for gaming headphones Speakers sub, people asking for 2 channel reference with sound stage and no room correction lol I have about 4 pairs of iems, none that expensive since I don’t really need them to be, and I can attest at least to my own perception I have some that definitely feel a wider soundstage, specifically my ew300 vs explorers. Gaming markets also tend to be cheaper and along with sound quality comes comfort. I enjoy iems because my audeze used to dig into my head a bit, same with my q701. You are kinda just reintroducing the old Apple dac is better then 99 percent of dacs and people can’t notice but who actually listens and they go buy quedelix and other 300 dollar dacs for their phones . People gonna buy what they want and some people have had success in testing out many cheaper iems and some have better imaging then others. And some are just hype Looking at you supermix4
r/iems • "IEMs for gaming", let's be real. ->I own a pair of each of the examples given (except Rays) and I personally prefer Explorer because it's easy to manage the volume without specific frequencies being too overwhelming (especially treble). I'd describe it as boring with a bass boost which was what I was specifically looking for when I started in the hobby. That being said, Supermix 4 is one of my choices for the more "fun" sound because the treble tends to be more tame than a lot of pairs with similar sound signatures. Hexa and EW300 are ones I very rarely reach for because of the treble. EW300 has more body to the mids than Hexa but I still prefer Hexa's deadpan sound for specific use cases.
r/iems • Which iem should i buy.? I prefer clarity and warm sound and i listen to all genre ->Ew300, though I don't really see how it would be so convenient. Ew300 is a great option dsp or with dongle though.
r/iems • Best IEM under $100 with a DSP cable option? ->Under $100, for out of the box sound, EW300 still wins for me. I also really enjoy it for metal music. It's on the warmer side, while still having great vocals and good detail. Here's a graph of it next to Aful Explorer and Orchestra Lite: https://preview.redd.it/1wurtca272bf1.jpeg?width=1794&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=123636ef692a1b06ed69d46711e1a92f097804a8 There's a gently used one on ebay for $45 right now actually.
r/iems • Best iems for warm neutral? ->Same opinion for EW300 which I have, love metal music on them. New Architects Whiplash is mental on them
r/iems • Budget Metal/rock/punk lovers unite. ->I quite like the ew300. But I always EQ my iems to how I like them. Are you using the silver or gold end can I ask because the golden one pushes the bass right the way up
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->Once you realise how good of a soundstage the ew300's have you can not un-hear it hahaha that's why so many people love them for Gaming man they are fantastic iem.
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->I've just been listening to this song with my new Ew 300's with the standard end not the gold end The soundstage is massive that's probably what's happening I think. It sounds like your in a dance hall with speakers really far in front of you 😁 https://youtu.be/i36GScqwufg
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->This song perfectly shows you how big the ew300 makes the soundstage https://youtu.be/dKACYQWuaJM
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->Mmmm, I'd go with EM6L or EW 300 from your list. I was Imm 1, and I use KE4's for gaming, not the best, but gets the job done (I previously was using Truthear Hexas). My radiant friend, has been using Super Mix 4's for about 6 months, and before that he was using Dunu Kima's. We both play Extraction shooters on the side like ABI and Tarkov, and we're able to clearly recognize what direction sounds are coming from, and each specific sound (footsteps, voip, nades, etc). Kefine Delci AE wouldn't be a bad pick either, have heard good things, I just haven't tried them yet. I have the OG Zero Blue, and I think they're okay for gaming, definitely worth the price though.
r/iems • Help me select IEM for Valorant ->s08 is less rumble and more slam; the pure is a really different sound, you would have to try it first, not for everyone, dont trust the hype, hexa with more bass; kefine klean are a kz edc pro clone; ew300 comes with two tunings depending on the nozzle, bassier gold or balanced silver, more rumble than slam
r/iems • Best IEM for me for music and gaming between $50-100? ->I have the explorer and the ew300. I bought the ew300 first and couldn't handle the treble. I love the explorer and would buy them again if I lost or broke them.
r/iems • Which iem should i buy.? I prefer clarity and warm sound and i listen to all genre ->Letshuoer S08 or Shozy P20 would be my pick for what you're suggesting. The EW300 is great, but not everyone likes the combo of microplanar+piezoelectric for mids and treble.
r/iems • Budget Planars vs 1DD/Hybrids ->I like my EW300, but regardless of how expensive something is, a sound profile/tuning that suits you will always be better to listen to than something more expensive with a sound signature you don't like. I love my Castor Bass for example, and that's $10. However, I much prefer using my EW300 with Dunu S&S tips - have you tried those on the EW300? Also, the different nozzles give a different sound. Don't be afraid to EQ either - the EW300 reacts well to it.
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->For the type of sound you are looking for the KZ Zenith, natural sounding, smooth treble and spacious, the bass can be tweaked a bit with the switches for me they are comfortable but they can be on the heavy side for some. Around $50 I tried or have the Kefine Delci, Klean, TE Zero, Zero: RED, T10 and EW300, the EW300 is a close second but I like the treble and sense of space of the Zenith a bit more. Also a DAC/dongle is recommended because they are low impedance devises and that assures that you hear the correct sound and consistency between sources, it can be a low cost CX31993 or similar, there no need for more.
r/iems • Best IEM under $50 in 2025? Looking for recommendations ->I like the Zero:2 a lot it's my travel/on the go set, really good set and not just for the price, I really like the tuning it's similar to the Zenith and EW300. The only problem for some is the shape and/or short nozzles, but for me it was just finding the right tip. https://pw.squig.link/?share=KZ_Zenith_1110,7Hz_Salnotes_Zero_2,Simgot_EW300_Silver
r/iems • Best IEM under $50 in 2025? Looking for recommendations ->My first IEM was also the ZS 10 Pro and it really wasn't comfortable, but I forced through and my ears got used to it. Then I bought the EW300. And oh, God, it was like a sip of cold water in the middle of the night. Way smaller, didn't hurt my ears anymore, the metal housing felt premium and had weight to it. The tips and cable are miles better. Bonus: it comes with a carrying case, so no need to worry about breaking those 2-pins. Soundwise it still keeps that v-shape which you said you like and an even another bonus - it comes with tuning nozzles to change the sound up a bit. Not much of an audio geek tbh, I'm sure there are people more competent about audio itself than me, so I can't really comment on sound.
r/iems • IEM comfort ->Yeah, I've seen the other comment about the EW300. Soundwise, the KZs seemed too bright for me. The EW300s are bassier and the KZs are way brighter. That region of 2.6khz and upwards is elevated compared to the EW300. And if I ever want my EW300 to be brighter, I just EQ it. Also, since I don't wear jewelry, the chrome shells act like a fashion accessory which I really like.
r/iems • IEM comfort ->The EW300 are way better then the Zero:2 - currently the only downside is, that i cannot fully enjoy them, because even the biggest tips are not sealing my ears completely...
r/iems • Trying to narrow down my choices - Gaming and all music genres. ->depending on your budget, there are some options, but a bass that "covers other instruments" its what people call muddy, and muddiness is not only about the bass being boosted or not. For around your price range, iems that would work better for that would be: ew300 if you can do the strech, or Sgor Luna should work too and its a planar too, that just has a bit More mid-bass. Kefine Klean is another really good pick around $50 that would give you that extra bass, but it might or might not be too much extra bass (with the silver filter).
r/iems • [deleted by user] ->ew300 is basically the less bright tunned iem simgot has, so should be fine. Luna is like a less bright/less harsh ew309 with a bit more technical performance tho, and also comes with a basic dongle dac if you buy tur type C version
r/iems • [deleted by user] ->There are quite a few options under $100, however im a bit busy, you could check my answers, i have been answering options for that budget recently, if not, you can remind me later and i can try to help you, but either way, the fast answer is, something balanced like ew300, Dunu Titan S2 or moondrop Aria 2 should be fine, the ew300 being the cheaper and safest option.
r/iems • Best IEM for a reasonable price (around $100 I think?) ->for what you like, EW300 would be better, Nv is good but is more for people looking for nice vocals and not that much bass or treble, EW300 is more balanced and will have enough of everything you could be needing for music, since you have quite the variety of genres in library that is* As for tips, is not really a great idea to get some after ther fact because those can help with 1.- fit, and 2.- adjusting the sound, so, lets say, you get the Tang Sancai from Tanzu, which tame bass and treble and pushes vocals, if what you wanted ends up being more bass, less treble, then those wont work for you, so you really should consider get them after* If you really want options still, in my experience: Dunu Candy Tips are pretty good and affects too little the sound, it does reduce a bit bass and treble tho, but not as much as Sancai, they are really comfortable and also would help balance the sound more on the EW300, pushing the vocals a bit foward too.
r/iems • Best possible iem in the range of 60-80$. Considering the EW300 & Tangzu XuanNv ->As a person that owns a planar and DD iems. it really depends on what Is your friend looking for, i personally dont find planars timbre bas or metallic but for some people it can be distracting, that said, BA deivers are said to be prone to that aswell so a hybrid with BAs could be counter-productive. Now, the 2 main problems i find with planars is first, they need quite good amplfication, some more, some less, but you will need a dongle dac always basically. On the other hand, DDs usually suffer a bit less even if they are underpowered. the other problem with planars is that for some the bass might not had enough punch. planar bass is good, but not that good vs a good DD Bass. For cheap, Sgor Luna is a pretty good starting planar pick tho, you can even bundle it up with a dongle dac, so its a good option, but it doesnt seem to compete with better planars for its lower price, it does perform well for its price tho. If your friend like the zero2, it could be a decent new step, but for more performing planars, you dont want F1 Pro or T10 since the focus is more on the sub-bass Rumble over mid-bass kick, the least you could do is the Klanar, and specially the Letshouer S08 if he wants a bassy sound. As for non-planars, ill rather recomend the normal delci as long as he is not planing on gaming too much, since doesnt work all that well, and the AE tunings arent exactly the best use of the driver and is more expensive. EW300 is a pretty decent pick, but some people find them heavy on the ears, so do take in mind. As for other options, similar to Zero2, there arent exactly much closer to, but you could also check the Tangzu Fudu. But honestly, if your friend can go for planars, i think it would be a better pick in this budget, and if you know he likes bass, specially the S08 from planars. If not, Delci would be the safer options between delci and EW300. If your friend plans on doing gaming the Delci AE could be more versatile, but i think you would be sacrificing a good bassy tuning vs 2 just decent tuning. Talk it with your friend and narrow down options. If you are interested in more options for $50 or below, i have a whole pick list of you are interested.
r/iems • Budget Planars vs 1DD/Hybrids ->Something like the EW300 would be your best Place to start, you could Check Arrti T10 too, but if you are sensible to treble it might be a bit intense for you.
r/iems • Iem ->EW300 is your safest bet in both performance and sound style, you cant go wrong with these.
r/iems • Looking for the best IEMs for immersive gaming (20–80€ range) ->Yeah for gaming and general music probably Defiant or EW300 (any version works just fine, sound is near the same, only difference is DSP version comes with a type-c conection cable), or Letshouer S08 if you want an extra on bass with still nice clarity.
r/iems • Hey im looking to get iems for Christmas which ones would yall recommend for a 100 euros budget ->too lazy to even trying to understand these 😭 all i care is the ew300 is goodddddd
r/iems • 80 analogues of the best IEM 2024-2025 ->Don't look at EW300 for gaming. They are just neutral for this, you will feel like all the enemies all on the same horizontal level, no vertical feeling at all. I bought them few weeks ago and now looking for other IEMs with 1DD and 4 BA (it looks like BA makes all the difference in gaming)
r/iems • Is it worth it to switch from headphones to IEMs for gaming? ->This set trade blows with ew300. Even heard feedback of people that prefer these over the simgots. Unpopular opinion, but reds are not exactly the most technical iem in that price range. Enjoy :) These are on sale sometimes for under 20 bucks
r/iems • How can you resist 1DD 8BA for $30? ->If all of these are within your budget, get EW300. Like everyone already said, go get them from Aliexpress.
r/iems • Been looking to get a set of iems for a while now, unsure which to get… ->I'd go EW300 for sure. As for eartips that's going to come down to what works for your own ears. My favorites are the Tangzu Sancais, but there are many other options out there.
r/iems • Best possible iem in the range of 60-80$. Considering the EW300 & Tangzu XuanNv ->i own the EW300 and enjoyed it most with Sancai balanced tips. Tried pairing them with moondrop springtips, tri clarion, final E tips and the stock tips. The stock tips are honestly not that bad imho
r/iems • Best possible iem in the range of 60-80$. Considering the EW300 & Tangzu XuanNv ->Don't forget that there are two options for nozzles for the EW300! The "pink filter", or gold nozzle makes things a lot bassier and full sounding, while sounding less clean and separated. The "red filter", or silver nozzle is the default and the one most people seem to prefer since it is a bit brighter, but provides much more clarity between bass, mids, and highs. I personally use the silver nozzle with an EQ to... match the 500 Hz and above to the gold nozzle but without being overpoweringly bassy (i used EQ to match the dusk and KE4). Oops! Didn't realize that! But also, the silver nozzle has a big dip at around 300 to 400 Hz which i've read can help with separation despite the bassier and full sound (mainly due to increasing 500 Hz). I think it is noticeable after EQing with and without that dip.
r/iems • EW300 or Supermix 4 ->The Hydros are fucking 🔥. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. You've done research and already purchased them, so no need for more reviews that helped me get them. Most of this community is going to think you're crazy for even thinking something from KZ/CCA is an upgrade or better than anything from Aful. See the lame joke comment. I had someone tell me I was wrong for thinking the Hydros were better than the EW300 (they are) despite me having both, and I believe he had neither. I was somewhat interested in the P5+2 last year and asked Paul Wasabii if it was better than Hydro, and he said no. It also wasn't being sold on Linsoul for the $50 off code, so that played a factor also.
r/iems • Just ordered the CCA HYDRO on sale ->EW300 since you said you get fatigued easily. The EA500LM has been described as a treble lover iem. The EW300 has 2 nozzles to adjust tuning, including foam inserts for treble.
r/iems • SIMGOT EA500LM vs EW300 — Which is better for my music preferences? ->I haven't heard the og EA500 but I have the EA500LM and EW300 and I prefer the EW300, honestly.
r/iems • Unpopular opinion: IEMs don't need that much bass ->I own both. While we have different musical tastes and I’m a bass enthusiast, I recommend the EW300. To me it just sounds better. They’re both good but I definitely prefer the tuning of the EW300.
r/iems • SIMGOT EA500LM vs EW300 — Which is better for my music preferences? ->if you already have zs10 pro 2 and want to try chu 2, it is a downgrade.. it is better to go with ew300
r/iems • IEM comfort ->Ive owned Zero 2 for 5 months now and although directional ound on those iems are nothing that can be compared to my EW300 that i use rn for gaming it still gets the job done! i really liked the v shaped sound on those iems too the bass is clean and i just felt a lil bit of trebble was missing. definately worth the money! specially compared to chu2 and castor
r/iems • My first budget iem for gaming ->EW300 are brilliant. Don't spend more. There's no such thing as endgame for gaming yet but some incredible iems built for gaming will surely come in the next couple of years. Save your money till then.
r/inearfidelity • Best IEM’s for gaming (any budget)? ->I got the castors bass edition they feel lackluster to qkz x hbb but then again if you want something with a bit of everything ew300 is a no brainer or if you got the cash and you want bass 7hz legato seems like a pretty good choice
r/iems • which one should I get ? ->It's personal. Try tips and eq. Cable won't make a difference. EW300 is a good iem.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->Kz zs Pro 12 x is a good deal . Zero red has a muffled sound quality control sucks. Ew 300 is a good beginner pair
r/iems • Hey everyone, I need help choosing my first IEM. Looking for the best one for competitive and general use. Considering KZ ZSN Pro X, Pro 2, D-Fi, ZAS, or Truthear x Crinacle ZERO: RED. Any recommendations? ->https://preview.redd.it/arenomw7hlae1.png?width=2400&format=png&auto=webp&s=1634f606d21f4c08a6b1201e3ca6099238b18e88 [Looks like](https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=Harman_IE_2019_(B&K_5128)_Target,EW300_(Pink),SuperMix_4) the EW300 is more v-shaped, while the SuperMix 4 is slightly more vocal-forward.
r/iems • EW300 or Supermix 4 ->I said the Supermix is more vocal forward than the ew300 (because it has more in the 1.3k-3k range).
r/iems • EW300 or Supermix 4 ->The EW300 and the Kefine Klean are my favorite most-recent discoveries.
r/iems • My 2025 IEM TIERLIST/RANKING (39 IEMS JUNE FIRST HALF) ->EW300. Just got into iems and this is my first and only so far. What’s the next logical step up from there?
r/iems • What was your first IEM, and do you still use it? ->EW300 might be a good look. Slight V shape, spare nozzles for more of a Harmon tuning (so 2 tunings in 1. Id say above avg clarity and detail in this process range, and solid metal construction. I could see them getting a bit fatiguing if you’re doing long listening sessions.
r/iems • IEM recommendations under 100 USD for metal? ->The chu is tuned well but I don’t think it’ll make a huge difference in hearing lossless. I have the EW300 ($80ish) usd and some times I think I can tell. I never could with the chu
r/AppleMusic • Apple music are ready that good ->Just got mine (first iem purchase) and I’m not quite sure on them, it was between the OG Kefine Delchi or the EW300 and everywhere I looked it was saying the Simgot was slightly better. It definitely has a zingy metallic almost sharp sound especially on drums or heavy beats. Male vocals I’m not sure on a touch muffled maybe I’m thinking they might get fatiguing. So far I’ve found it mainly stands out on female vocals and electronic music were it’s quite soft but clean and much less harsh. Haven’t tried the accessories yet so I’m curious how the gold nozzle and foam will change it. Fits a bit tight so far gonna switch to see if any of the other tips are better.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->Update: Prefer the gold nozzles with the foam interestingly enough. Still a bit harsh and pointed but it’s dampened it enough to be of use. With this configuration I’ve found they work well with heavy metal (death metal, black metal, older albums that haven’t been remastered basically anything with distortion or a wall of sound) it sounds deep and heavy and full but still detailed enough in the drums and guitars to work vs anything less heavy or too clean sounds too thin and metallic and almost shrill imo. (Clean sounds on these only work for softer music imo so female vocals, smooth dance beats etc bc that harsh shrillness is dampened by the music itself being so soft.) I’m gonna sit with them for a week or two and let my ears adjust and then I think I’ll decide what to do with them.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->Dioko are a trash planar. Don’t even look at it anymore. It’s hot garbage for a planar and is easily surpassed by newer and cheaper Planars like the T10. Ew300 all day long.
r/iems • Final choice ->2 different sounds. There is no “better” without knowing what you’re trying to compare. I “NEED” bass in my music and Hexa has none to me. Based on that I kinda think Hexa sounds like shit. My ew300 is fucking awesome and easily in my personal Top 10 IEM’s I have out of 70 pairs. Bass is the driving reason I just said what I said….without knowing what sound/tuning you’re looking for specifically, no answer can accurately say one way or the other.
r/iems • Truthear hexa or simgot ew300 ->Iems, ew300 with a apple usb c to 3.5mm dongle. (Dont conect to the pc directly plz)
r/EscapefromTarkov • Gaming headsets help [discussion] ->I mean dont plug it in the board directly because it lost quality, its noticiable the upgrade with the dongle
r/EscapefromTarkov • Gaming headsets help [discussion] ->no mention of staples like Wan’er, Gate, or maybe Zero 2 for the low budget end. Aria 2 is outclassed by newer releases and the cadenza isnt even 50, its 35 and should be in the higher end of the low budget end. No mention of other mid range staples like Crinnacle red/blue, artti t1, ew300, and especially the hexa which should be close to your pref. Even the Titan S is outdated with the Titan S2 and other competition stated High end is plagued with the same issue, lack of explanation and choice Honestly, the list is outdated and you would be better off just going to r/iems and looking at their list or doing your own research
r/HeadphoneAdvice • I use chat gpt to analyze my music taste ->Thats a pretty big price difference between the EW300 and Supermix 4. While I do love the SM4, I think its only worth if your budget comfortably fits the SM4. Yes for me the SM4 was just straight up better but was it worth 2x the price of the EW300? Depends on you. I think for value, the EW300 is insane and one of the best. You could also look at the EA500LM if you like a slightly brighter tone or DUNU Kima 2 if you listen to very vocal songs. I still think Moondrop Kato on sale for like $110-130 is a great buy too.
r/iems • EW300 or Supermix 4 ->What you have on the pic is EW300 - to me the best sounding iems I have. I have zero2, zero red, and ew300 - and by far they sound the best. Great for music and general PC use. Get Fiio KA11 and I think you will be very pleasantly surprised. I’m using them on gaming seasons for 4+ hours no issues with fatigue or uncomfortable fit etc. Got them from AliExp. Compared to the apple pro2s are light years ahead. You lose the wireless but it sounds like crap so not a big loss in my opinion.
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->Ew 300 is much better If you can handle the tuning. Else save money And get the kefine klean
r/iems • Best possible iem in the range of 60-80$. Considering the EW300 & Tangzu XuanNv ->EW300 is the best all arounder under $100 imo but a planar like the Letshuoer S08 might be better for metal specifically.
r/iems • Recommend me an IEM for less than $100 ->Unless your phone supports 3.5mm, the DSP version. If your phone does support 3.5mm, I'd go for the silver original unless you think the black just looks better.
r/iems • Recommend me an IEM for less than $100 ->Ew300 - not sure what form of sorcery they're using but it keeps pulling me back
r/iems • What are your own personal endgame IEMs? ->Have a look at Juzear Defiant. They are a step up from the excellent EW300.
r/iems • Do any of you not like the Truthear Pures? ->You want IEMs on the "brighter side" for gaming, I'll recommend you the EW300, The explorer, the 500lm or even my hated SuperMix4 if they are on sale for less than 110dlls if not just go with the other ones. The Hexas are a benchmark already on that price set.
r/iems • Help me choose an IEM for Gaming ->Under 100, the best 2 option right now are: - EW300. - The Explorer. Any will be an amazing upgrade from ur Blon.
r/iems • iem recommendation under 100usd ->IMO the upgrade is like, The G1 then EW300 and the EM6L. You don't need anything above that for gaming.
r/iems • Best iems for gaming ->Try the little beasts called EW300.
r/iems • IEM noob with very small ears - looking for recommendations! ->Get the EW300 or the Zero:Reds, ull be super happy, the ew300 even have a dsp cable which will make you less dependent to the apple dongle. Enjoy
r/iems • Any good replacements for Monoprice Quintet Wired In Ear Monitor? ->I have both, and love both, but the EW300 are generally less treble bright.
r/iems • Which IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆 ->Phonk is pretty bass-heavy so EW300 would be perfect as its stock silver nozzle is already bassier than Hexa, and its gold nozzle is even more bassier than the silver. Hexa isn't too great for EDM like Phonk as it's bass is on the lighter side. As for the Dioko... I'm not sure. I've heard a bit of it through EQ (Tuning my IEM to almost the same sound as the Dioko), but that was a while ago. I do remember it being very detailed, but the treble: cymbals, hi-hats, violins, synth-sounds were a bit too emphasized and made it hard to listen to some songs without turning the volume down. And if you turn the volume down, you won't hear the Bass, or the Instruments, or Vocals as much as you'd like. EW300 is your best bet at this price and for your music taste 👌 * If you FPS game, the Silver nozzle should help with footsteps and sound cues. * For solo-gaming, where you'd want more immersion, the Gold nozzle will increase Bass and give you that atmospheric feel without losing too much detail. You're gonna love it 👍
r/iems • Final choice ->Aaaand Artti T10. I was recently deciding between that one, hexa, ew300. Ofc it's all subjective but t10 is just so versatile, has great soundstage and gives me goosebumps (I use KA11 and dunu SS). Very close call with hexa (unique neutral). Ew300 is 'only' very good, but imo some weirdness between high mids and treble. I'm still considering getting hexa again.
r/iems • Which iems for under £100? (UK) ->they should be coming out with a zero 2 (sounding like the zero reds) with a small nozzle soon. ew300 are inconsistent on sound signature due to QC but they do have a good soundstage but has a lot more bass
r/iems • !THE SUB $100 IEM MEGA PICK LIST! ->Daybreak, Hexa and EW300 are great choices, but if you ask me EW300 might have too much bass with pink filter. Also keep in mind that you cannot attach DSP to any dac and amp, but its good for gaming tho
r/iems • 80-150€ (shipping included) IEM recommendation ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
