I bought dac (fiio k5 pro) for my headphones, it's great for headphones. But didn't feel any difference when paired with iems (simgot e200).

Finally a realistic review. I think for how much we paid, these are really excellent, but even at $25-30 you can get IEMs that are straight upgrades to these. IMO EW200 and Klean blow these out of the water (but they are also much more expensive).

Simgot ew200 Tbh I havent had the chance to listen to all of them but looking at frequency responses and all this would be my choice for sure. But you have to consider that it is on the bright leaning side. I will explain the ew200 as well as I can to make things easier for you. # Why I enjoy the ew200 * Ew200 definitely has the best build quality among these, it has a metal shell and a very good cable. * The bass is punchy and fast not rumbly which I think would take out that heavyness you mention about. * The mids are not the main focus on the ew200 but it is just slightly recessed , overall it sounds good and the female vocals are not shouty , at least to me. * The treble on the ew200s is the best part of this iem for me. In this iem I hear something that I didnt heard before, the bite of the treble (like the punchyness of the bass). Of course different people different tastes but the treble on the ew200s just feels so good, on certain tracks this could backlash with sounding a bit bright but overall I enjoyed it like 90\~%95 of the times. * **And lastly if you are going to choose among these the ew200 would be the most unique one than the sets you own.** The other ones follow the harman target like the truthear blue 2s so if you are happy with them I dont see the reason to sidegrade. The ew200 looks like the harman target on the graph but it is more on the bright side and has less bass (at least rumbly bass) than these. And a few things I would reccomend you to check on reccomendations and reviews I think in this hobby people have so many different tastes than "normal people" .Like when somebody says the treble is too sharp or the bass is almost non existant or on the flat side that comes from the fact that they experienced much much more bassy sets etc. I've experienced this with Truthear x crin Zero Reds, almost all of the people said that it is a neutral set with slight sub bass emphasis but I highly disagreed with them the bass boost was very noticeable and the treble was almost non existent( bassy set in short) In certain songs it felt like I was listening underwater and cymbals were literally nonexistent. So try to compare the thoughts of one single reviewer with different iems that you own, that would give you a better position to compare and understand their opinions. So personal preferances could effect which iem you would want to go with , I would reccomend you to try these either from a friend or store or if you have a good return policy just get them and return if you dont like them. I would answer any questions if you have any , I hope this helped.

r/iemsWhat are you favourite IEMs Under $300?

I can not stand the Harman tuning even though this tuning is very popular with many people. My tuning preference is very similar to the HBB tuning. I prefer the HBB tuning's 8 dB rise for the simulated pinna gain in the upper midrange since the Harman tuning's 10 to 11 dB rise for the simulated pinna gain in the upper midrange is too sibilant for me. I also don't like how the Harman tuning decreases the lower midrange. Right now my two favorite IEMs under $300 are the Aful Performer 7 and the Dunu DaVinci. The Performer 7 simply is an improved version of the Performer 5 across the board. I still love my Performer 5 IEMs. At first I didn't like the DaVinci's powerful sub bass relative to the mid bass, but I found some eartips which fixed this issue such that the sub bass is in balance with the mid bass. I have some other favorite IEMs at lower price points. I was very surprised by how much I like the Kima 2 which Dunu sent to me. I knew that the Kima 2 uses single dynamic drivers, yet when I listened to the Kima 2 I could have sworn that there must also be BA drivers in the mix since the macro and micro details are very well defined. For example, the Kima 2 performs much better than the Thieaudio Legacy 2. It also dawned on me that the Kima 2 is tuned very similarly to the original Moondrop Starfield which was my first IEM, yet the Kima 2's technical performance is so much nicer to listen to in comparison to the OG Starfield. There always a very slight veil to the sound when I listened to the OG Starfield, and the Kima 2 totally rips any veil away. On the budget side, I really like the Simgot EW200 after I easily added some self adhesive mesh filters to shift the overall tuning from Harman to HBB. The transition after adding the mesh filters was splendid. The thing is that after adding the mesh filters to adjust the tuning, I was able to really appreciate the quality of the EW200's dynamic drivers. I hope that the above helps you with your research.

I get what you are saying about the overall sound not sounding coherent. I get what you are saying about the piezo driver timbre. I understand why the piezo driver sound is noticeable to you since reviewers have mentioned this. Some reviewers have noted the the EW300 bass is sluggish and lacks layering. This is a thing which I have noted on some Simgot IEMs such as the EM6L yet not on other Simgot IEMs such as the EW200. Is this perhaps what you mean when you say that the bass sounds bloated and not so much the strength but instead the cleanliness of the bass? I ask since the Chu II and the EW300 have nearly identical sound signatures from sub bass all the way up to the upper midrange. Please check out these frequency response graphs: [https://vortexreviews.squig.link/?share=Bad\_Guy\_Target,Moondrop\_Chu\_2,Simgot\_EW300\_Silver,Kefine\_Klean\_Silver\_Nozzle](https://vortexreviews.squig.link/?share=Bad_Guy_Target,Moondrop_Chu_2,Simgot_EW300_Silver,Kefine_Klean_Silver_Nozzle) The driver incoherence can be solved by using a really nice single DD IEM. Lately I have been really pleased with the technical performance of the Kefine Klean since the clarity of the macro details is very nice. More surprising is the clarity in the micro details which is very impressive for 50 dollar price tag. In other words, I did enjoy the moment when I started listening to the Klean. The Klean's bass is not bloated as in being muddy. I find the Klean's bass to be surprisingly clean with similar texture and detail as the bass on the EW200.

For me, the EW 300 had beautiful workmanship and the accessories were sufficient. But ultimately, the bass had too little resonance for me (not much different from the ew200, slightly clearer and very loud). Compared to the EW300, the Hexa was also well made but with a minimalist design. The sound was more mid-range with strong highs. But here too, I found the bass lacking in punch.

r/iemsWhat neutral sounding iems have the best technicality, especially sound stage at or under 50$?

It's not 100% flat neutral (but nothing is in that price range), more U-shaped, but the Tin C2 is very good. It gets closer to neutral with Spinfit CP-100+ tips since those roll off the extra upper treble that they have, leaving it as pretty neutral with a slight bass boost. But they have very clean, well extended treble that IMO puts them quite ahead of the 7Hz Zero or Zero 2 for technical performance. Similar to the Simgot EW200 but that's a lot more v-shaped. Also the C2 has the best build quality out of any of those. The older one (which is now around $20) is closer to neutral than the 2025 version, which has a bit more sub-bass and sounds slightly more v-shaped. Both are very similar though. You probably wouldn't know there was a difference if you listened to them a day apart rather than A/B them side-by-side. If you want more of a bright-neutral with flatter bass, the Moondrop LAN is pretty good (around $40).

r/iemsWhat is a good budget IEM with bright tuning?

The EW200 has a lot of treble energy but also a lot of bass (although this is very dependent on getting a good seal with the eartips), so it's more of a v-shape than a bright set per se. It's a slightly more aggressive v than the Chu 2, but still the same general tuning concept. Probably the best bright-neutral set is the Moondrop LAN. There isn't really anything better than the LAN with that style of tuning until you get up to the level of the Blessing 3, which is quite a big jump. If you want to spend a bit less, the 7Hz Zero is also bright-neutral, but it doesn't sound as smooth & refined as the LAN. If you want something that has tons of treble energy and resolving ability, while also being a mild v-shape so there's a bit more kick to drums etc. (but very much a bright IEM) then consider the Simgot EA500. The original silver version, not the LM or the new black one. This one comes with a health warning though, because it is *very* bright and potentially quite fatiguing. Definitely one to avoid if you're at all treble-sensitive. This is an incredible IEM in short bursts, but I can't listen to mine for more than an hour or so at a time. It sometimes goes on sale for as low as $50 since the LM got released. It's by far the most technical IEM at that price other than maybe the Artti T10.

I find Divinus Velvet or Render tips (RIP) work best on the EW200. It tends to sound unbalanced and too bright unless you get a really good bass seal (Tang Sancai are highly variable for that - I usually get a lot of bass but most people don't). Every single time someone posts about the EW200 sounding harsh (which happens fairly often), it's because they weren't getting a good enough seal and losing the bass needed to balance out the treble. Usually they try some other tips and start liking them. I haven't listened to mine since I got Penon Liqueur Orange tips, but I should probably give those a try as well, as they pretty much guarantee a good seal. I haven't tried Whizzer SS20 on them either, but if insertion depth is as important as you say those should work well too, and they're also pretty cheap (the KBear Coffee tips, which are the same tip, are often even cheaper). The downside of Divinus Velvet is that a pack of them cost about the same as the IEM itself. The only reason I'd recommend collectors skipping the EW200 is that it's blown completely out of the water, for not that much more money, by the EA500 (the OG if you're OK with loads of treble or the LM if you prefer a warmer v) and the build quality isn't great (the EA500, by contrast, is built like a tank). Although it's metal, it's very thin and flexes if you press the side. Mine has driver flex as well, although that doesn't bother me as much as it bothers some people. It's a great introduction to the Simgot house sound though, for anyone just getting into IEMs. Still very good value and I agree with how OP summed it up relative to the Cadenza. The Cadenza is smooth & relaxed, the EW200 is more aggressive.

Maybe another EW200, or else the Tin C2 is similar-ish but whereas the EW200 is clearly v-shaped the C2 is slightly more U-shaped, with slightly less bass but a bit more enhanced sense of clarity & detail. On [a graph](https://audioamigo.squig.link/?share=Simgot_EW200,TinHiFi_C2_Mechwarrior) they look almost identical, and they certainly sound *similar*, but not quite identical. I would say the C2 build quality is a bit better, but the EW200 is a bit smaller. The C2 nozzles are slightly longer as well, which might be a good bad or indifferent thing depending on your ears. If you want to try a planar and can't stretch your budget to the Artti T10, the SGOR Luna comes pretty close and I believe it would be in budget. Both the Luna and the T10 need a somewhat powerful DAC/amp though so if you only have something like the EU Apple dongle or a basic JCally JM6 (non-pro) then it may not be enough, but the JM6 Pro is fine - it just needs to deliver more than about 0.75V. One thing to note about the Luna is that the shells are pretty large, much bigger than the EW200.
