"the gaming experience as well as eq potential on the DSP version is insane, at least for the price."
"I think the Simgot are the best value for money in general."

"Ew300 are the most confortable ones I’ve testes thought"
"I'd go so far as to say that comfort is one of the *biggest* selling points of the EW300. ... They're absurdly comfortable. ... But they're *very* comfy."
"when my ew300 came it felt like it's just air. ... the ew300 is smaller than the red and maybe comfortable with your full face helmet?"

"In the opening scene, the EW300 allowed me to almost analytically locate where enemies were hiding. The imaging is sublime. ... Mafia features many stealth segments requiring precise audio positioning of enemies. The EW300 performs superbly, especially in upper mids and treble, allowing near-surgical placement of static or moving elements. ... enemies are positioned holographically, both in depth and horizontal plane."
"It is very versatile, exceptional for music and also performs really well in games."

"dsp version is like having 7 iems, 2 with the noozles swapping + the free EQ settings."
"Then I installed Equalizer APO on my laptop, it's such a massive game changer. I'm able to juice out some frequencies and suit it to my liking. After EQ'ed, I returned to Silver nozzle to get back some of the reduced treble. Now I'm really happy with my EW300."
"I set my EQ for the EW300 to match the Tea Pro and the sound is just that much better. The bass is clear and punchy and the miss and highs are detailed and accurate."

"absolutely LOVE the Simgot EW300 - excellent fast and impactful bass (never sluggish)"
"I’d gibe the Simgot EW300 a try, I bought those after I sent the Hexa back and they’re a really punchy set with great bass, and about the same cost. ... Punchy, but can have some really deep rumble too."

"The bass is bloated. ... Mid bass punch is average. ... I can live with lower bass but can't bear any bloated bass."
"My experience is the complete opposite and find they don’t have any bass whatsoever, only used plugged into Xbox x controller so far. ... Less bass would be ok but it’s pretty much nonexistent. ... I did watch a bass video on YouTube but didn’t hear a thing…"
"I knew it was quite treble heavy, but I expected the treble to be clear to compensate for that, it is not. The treble is very muddy and the weak bass next to it just results in a suboptimal listening experience unless you listen to songs only containing mids like classical string instruments."

"I've had the KZ ZS10 Pro X, Simgot ew200 and ew300 and sold them all because I thought the treble was too much for me. ... I feel like it's uncomfortable having that much 'noise' trapped in your ear."
"Simgot EW300 sound really good, great options in box, but do not fit well for about 30% of people. ... Probably fit better in smaller rather than larger ears. ... I have tried a bunch of tips and they just do not fit well for proper seal and to remain in place."
"Most tips pop out of my ears. It acts like the nozzle is short, although it doesn't look all that short. I think it's something to do with the fit generally rather than nozzle length per se, but the end result is I can't use most of my tip collection with them."

"The biggest issue: the midrange gets very muddled in busy tracks. Normally I would try other tips to see if that helps, but I'm limited to one tip that both fits properly and gets rid of the zingy upper treble."
"Overall presentation is not coherent. ... The recessed mids and piezoelectric treble timbre is very much audible. ... I agree with the muddied mid thing. For example, at the start of suzume theme song, its incredible but when many instruments start to play altogether, it seems to lose clarity."
"Big problem is the midrange gets very muddled with busy tracks, so $20 1DD sets will outperform then a lot of the time. ... Avoid."

"the mids were recessed and muddled in busy tracks (most indian songs are pretty busy imo). ... can't bear this muddled, recessed mids and metallic treble timbre"
"The piezoelectric timbre and peaky treble gave it a somewhat unnatural sound, lacking coherency, especially noticeable at higher volume. ... metallic treble timbre ... can't bear this muddled, recessed mids and metallic treble timbre"

Greetings! I was also using my Air Pods Pro 2 and I also thought they sounded great. Then I tried some $5 iems and said fuck the AirPods! I escalated and now I am happily married to my EW300s.
r/iems • A beginner’s review Apple Airpod Pro 2 vs Linsoul EW300 ->The EW300. I have not tried the Kiwi Ears but looking at reviews I have read that the Cadenza are “boomy” with a dominant bass. And the EW300s really take advantage of all three drivers. The sound is not muddy and in some songs the percussions are heard separately. Definitely buy the EW300, plus it has two tuning mouthpieces that do work.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->By the way, I do have the EW300. I speak from my experience, at least with those. I have not tried the Cadenza but reading reviews I think they were not suitable for me.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->Coming from big bulky kz stuff, the simgot ew300 are smaller and feel pretty comfortable. The housing is entirely metal and technically hypo-allergenic (the silver one, the black variants peel over time) They do pickup fingerprints and oils a bit more than other IEMs but it also wipes clean much more easily.
r/iems • IEM comfort ->ew300 are a nice allrounder that will do any genre nicely. also comes with different nozzles that slightly alter the sound profile. its a nice choice on a blind buy for those reasons if you just want to just get a set and be good for a long time truthear gates are nice if you want to get your toes wet with lower investment
r/iems • Best iems for newbie ->ew300 as a starter set is great, nice allround signature with great build quality
r/iems • Looking for IEM recommendations and MP3 player recommendations ->they're a great allrounder with a widely appealing signature. Nice first pick if you want to jump into the sub 100$ price bracket right away
r/iems • Are the Simgot EW300 DSP a good option? ->thats what a warm set with a more mellow treble response will sound like if you wanted more clarity then thats more what the hexa's are for. if you want something more lively sounding but still balanced then theres simgot ew300
r/iems • Do any of you not like the Truthear Pures? ->ew300 are a nice allrounder making it a pretty safe blind buy. nice level of clarity as well
r/iems • Do any of you not like the Truthear Pures? ->simgot ew300. similar sound (many would consider better), metal build without the paint chipping (silver versions)
r/iems • Moondrop Aria replacement ->ew300 work well with pretty much anything, zero red nozzles are huge and are uncomfortable for a good amount of people
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->simgot ew300 are a very good allrounder. has some nice low end while being balanced
r/iems • I need advice 🙏🙏 ->I would go for something with a more allrounder type signature. hexa are quite neutrally tuned which isn't really recommended on a blind buy as many new to the hobby could find that signature flat and boring, especially for something like DnB something like the simgot ew300 would do well for that genre and just have a generally more widely appealing signature
r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->if you have ew300 money then get the ew300 or even something liek juzear defiant
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->Of all the IEMs I have, for some reason, the one I like the most is the Aful Explorer. I also have the Kefine Klean, Kefine Delci Ae, Sivga Que, Kiwi Ears Airoso, Lesthouer S08, Simgot EW300, Hidizs MP143, and MP145. All of these IEMs have a somewhat neutral, warm signature, but they all have excellent, very different sounds. I recommend the Aful Explorer, it's the best without a doubt. I won't tell you about the Hidizs MP145 because they're too big and can have adjustment problems if you have a narrow ear canal. Another thing I recommend is that you play with different types of cables and eartips, they can make a difference.
r/iems • Upgrade or something different from my Kefine Klean: Aful Explorer vs Letshuoer S08 ->My new automatic recommendation for under $100 is the EW300 (HBB or DSP). Incredible performance for the price.
r/iems • Reccomend me a V shaped IEM in 100$ ->I have them both and enjoy both of them but to my ears and tastes I do prefer the Cadenza. Cannot beat them for the price and they punch waaaayyy above their range.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->I compared a bunch of IEMs at audio shops. While I don't remember which IEMs sounded brighter to me, I can recommend the Letshuoer S8 for its clarity and balance of bass and treble. I listen to a lot of EDM and pop (US, K-pop, J-Pop, Eastern European, Latin/Spanish), and one of the things I compared was the, for lack of a better term, drop in Zedd's Spectrum ("we'll RUN where lights won't chase us"). The S08s had that IT factor in Spectrum, and the sounds did not bleed together. I found it was similar to the Simgot EW300, but I chose the S08 because it wasn't as bass heavy, felt more balanced, and I presumed I wouldn't be as fatigued listening to them. That being said, I do not like my music too bright. I think the S12 might have been brighter than the S08, but I felt the S08 had a crisp, clear sound that accentuated what I was looking for. I'm told my preference is V-shaped.
r/iems • I’m NOT looking for a good budget IEM. ->I have tried both the delci and ew300 (hbb edition if that counts) and now owns the delci. If you want bass, i would go for the ew300. Delci does have bass, but more subbass boom, so it kinda just stays low (position). If my memory serves me right, ew300 has more bass quantity like the whole region. And one more substantial point, i find the delci better in term of soundstage. Otherwise everything else is just ok, delci mid is slightly sharp which is more fitting for female vocal. I dont think you are going wrong with any but for me, the main selling point is soundstage, hence i choose the delci.
r/iems • Kefine Delci vs. Simgot EW300 – Which One Should I Buy? ->Personally, i find the delci less harsh than the ew300, so delci is better for long term usage. If you can, you should try it before hand
r/iems • Kefine Delci vs. Simgot EW300 – Which One Should I Buy? ->EW300 IMHO
r/iems • Kefine Delci vs. Simgot EW300 – Which One Should I Buy? ->Just got the ew300 original, and bought a little cx31 dac with it
r/iems • Best IEM with DSP cable under 100€ ->Hey, yes, sorry, I totally forgot to respond here ! I got it, and it is very very good. I had some IEMs like the IE600 from Sennheiser, pr the Mangird Top from Xenns, so some very expensive sets. The EW300 is sincerely good. As good as some 150/200€ sets for me. It is a full, energetic sound, very dynamic. For comparison the EA500lm is brighter, has a little bit more detail, but is more fatiguing and sound less natural to me. The EW300 has beautiful vocal, god treble, and very present bass.
r/iems • Best IEM with DSP cable under 100€ ->Yeah me too, I have some very expensive sets, like the IE600, and I prefer the EW300 over the IE600... I still prefer my Ziigaat Odyssey, or my Mangird Xenns Top, but damn the Simgot is indeed very very good for the asked price
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->Even though the Defiant uses 0.78mm cables, the cable sockets on the Defiant actually are QDC connectors which have been recessed to be flush with the shells. QDC connectors have a history of cracking. I like the build quality of the EW300. I have never seen the Hexa or the T10 or the S08.
r/iems • Best build quality for the 50-100$ top ranked group? ->Here's my audiophile journey so far from the chu 2 to the ew300 to the hexa. **Moondrop chu 2 :** Bought the moondrop chu 2 about 2 months ago. Impressed me a lot coming from oppo enco buds 2. The bass was punchy. Everything was more clear. More details in song. I did found it to be a bit sibilant and fatiguing. This must mean my preference is the V shape signature but with a little lower treble than the chu 2. So I got greedy, decided to upgrade and returned the chu 2. Also, the chu 2 were pretty mediocre for gaming. Too much bass made hearing footsteps hard. I play CODM a lot (one of those ranked sweats), although gaming is not my priority here. **Simgot EW300 :** I was first looking for something with lower treble. Found the tangzu waner to fit my needs. Waner 2 was releasing at that time. Decided to wait for it and did a lot a research at that time while also saving money. Choice then became truthear zero red and later decided to go for the ew300 or the hexa after various reviews. The hexa had supposedly lower bass as per everyone in this subreddit and the bass in the chu 2 was one thing that impressed me a lot. So EW300 was the way. And after a month of returning the chu 2, I finally bought the EW300 HBB edition. Had a lot of hopes. and..................... It was a **TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT**. The bass was not punchy and was too fast, the mids were recessed and muddled in busy tracks (most indian songs are pretty busy imo). The piezoelectric timbre and peaky treble gave it a somewhat unnatural sound, lacking coherency, especially noticeable at higher volume. At first I gave it sometime to adapt. After 3 days, brought audiocular d07 dac (CX30993 MAX97220) fearing that the iem maybe underpowered since it has a micro planar. Nothing changed, other than the fact that now I max out at 30% volume instead of the 80% without the dac. EW300 has its positives. The build, cable and looks felt very premium. It was very good for gaming also. Locating footsteps was very easy. It did suffer a bit when a lot was going on and the bass was still on the higher side for competitive gaming imo. Now I was confused about what sound signature I actually liked lol. As a last resort, tried to exchange the ew300 for the hexa. The thought was 'I can live with boring neutral sound with no bass but can't bear this muddled, recessed mids and metallic treble timbre'. Here's the thing. I bought these iems from headphonezone which is the best store for iems in India. They have this policy of one time exchange only and I had used it with the chu 2. As a student, 7400 inr (85 usd) was a lot and I can't save it one more time. So I emailed them if they could give me one more exchange chance and they agreed. If u are from india, just buy from them. Conceptkart and audiostore have bad customer care apparently. Else buy from linsoul and pray for no customs. So, I returned the ew300 and bought the hexa. **Truthear hexa :** Didn't expect the hexa to impress me as it doesn't have good bass and V-shape signature. and.................... it freaking impressed me, **A LOT.** Everything was way cleaner and sounded right. Holy details in every song I hear. Handled busy tracks like a champ. Bass was just enough, it did lack that exciting punch a bit (maybe I am not much of a bass head after all). Treble didn't felt peaky at all, maybe at high volumes (still way better than the chu 2). All this after hearing it for like, an hour. Will be using these for a long time to come. Extremely happy that I exchanged the ew300 for these gem of an iem. Coming to gaming, again it performed very well in busy gunfights. U can easily separate the footsteps, gunfights etc. The only downside I felt was the soundstage. Its not bad but ew300 performs little better in that regard. With the hexa, I can hear the footsteps and gunfights but can't locate it easily. The ew300 does this effortlessly. If u are looking for a gaming only iem, buy the ew300 and eq down the bass (for competitive only). **TL;DR : There's a reason the hexa is still the number one in this subreddits ranking under 100 usd. Don't underestimate the so called 'boring' neutral sound of the hexa. At least give it a try if u are new to this.** Thanks for all the help I received from this subreddit. Special thanks to dr\_wtf guy. U helped me a lot brother, keep up the good work.
r/iems • Chu 2 to ew300 to TRUTHEAR HEXA ! ->Brought the chu 2 a month ago and it impressed me a lot, coming from oppo enco buds 2. So I returned it, saved more money, did my research and ended up with two choices - hexa or ew300. The first thing that impressed me with the chu 2 was the bass. The hexa had lower bass according to everyone. So I brought the ew300 hbb edition. Now here's the problem. It sounds bad. It is definitely better than my enco buds but the price increase from chu 2 is not justified. I cant compare the chu 2 and the ew300 as its been a month since I returned the chu 2. The bass is bloated. Mid bass punch is average. Overall presentation is not coherent. The recessed mids and piezoelectric treble timbre is very much audible. So I brought a dac - Audiocular d07 (cx31993) and still the sound seems same. Only this time, I max out at 30 volume instead of usual 80 without the dac. Can I do anything to improve this like buying a better dac or waiting to get adapted to it. Or should I just return this and get the hexa. I can live with lower bass but can't bear any bloated bass.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->Forgot to mention the good things 1. Pretty good for gaming (I play CODM a lot) 2. Good build, cable and aesthetics Also I can't go beyond 30 volume using the dac. Does that mean this dac is sufficient to power this iem (it has a power hungry micro planar for that matter)
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->I currently own the FH3, which was my first IEM bought around 3 years ago. Recently gotten back into this hobby with Simgot EW300 and Letshuoer S08 in my collection. So I can only give you my experience with these 3 To me the FH3 sounds neutral-ish with slight bass boost. It can rumble sure, but you need a really good seal to notice them. Mid bass is slightly lacking the thump. Vocals are fairly forward and balanced. Treble is toned down making it not that sparkly. For accessories it comes packed with eartips so you can find your ideal fit. The pouch is decent and cable is nice but I wished it had a 4.4 option because when I swapped them to one, I can hear the details slightly better and soundstage opens up a little. One thing that stood out is definitely the fit. They are really comfortable! Passive noise isolation isn't as great (but so as the other two). Not to say the EW300 and S08 isn't comfortable, but I can listen with FH3 for a longer period without soreing my ear canals. Probably because they have smaller nozzle? Compare to my other two IEMs. To me EW300 and S08 sounds wayyy better. EW300 has better clarity and sounds more exciting. Some sibilance and female vocals can be a bit shouty (adding a foam to the silver nozzle really helps with the issue). S08 sounds warmer, treble is laid back but since the detail retrieval is so good I can still hear micro details unlike FH3 (had to really focus to hear them) All these are bassy according to many reviews, though not to basshead level. But I definitely prefer the slam on the newer models. TLDR: The newer models sounds "clearer" and has better bass Hope this helps! ☺️
r/iems • Are FiiO fh3's still worth buying? ->if you want to save some money, you cant really go wrong with simgot ew300 dsp, with its built in dac. It has two nozzles you can switch between, one being meant more for gaming, but I don't use it since I dont really game alot. Its a v shaped iem, but not as intense as others in my opinion. The soundstage and imaging (so you can tell which direction sounds are coming from ingame) is pretty good. If you want to stretch your budget a bit more, you could check out simgot em6l, simgot supermix 4 or kiwiears orchestra lite, with a dongle like fiio ja11 or fiio ka11. However, do take note that eartips affect sound as much if not more than dacs. This ones subjective because I would say to prioritise comfort and fitting first, and you really cant judge it easily unless you actually get it. I would say be more reserved with this first and see if you are fine with the stock eartips. This is all my opinion, so you may want to ask more people before jumping to your decision. I'm still relatively new to the hobby compared to others.
r/iems • Okay after researching a lot I am thinking to buy these please tell me if these are solid for PC gaming and also music? And heads up this is my first iem buying ->I agree. Ive tried s08 and aether and some other with microplanars like simgot ew300 or kiwi ears canta and i have returned them all. But the PRX was a very nice surprise. Just a little bit bright in the upper frequencies but it smooths over time. I put a cotton mesh infront of the noozle filter and tames the upper treble a bit. No doubt its a better tuning than aether or s08 which sounds muddy in comparison in the mid lows
r/iems • What's been your fav planar so far? ->Usually, iems are pretty sensitive to eq, so you could always try that before jumping into a new pair. That said, ARTTI T10 or the Simgot EW300’s in a similar price range are both pretty good. I prefer a v-shape signature for rock in general, and these two hit above their price point. There’s also the Kiwi Ears KE4 which I’ve read are tuned to be like listening to speakers, but I’ve never heard them and they’re more than twice the price of the others. I currently run Moondrop Aria 2’s and Moondrop Robin’s (tws) as my daily driver iem’s and love them both, but they’re also a step up in price a little bit (~$100). The Aria 2’s I’m not convinced are upgrades to the T10 or EW300, but I already have them and think they sound great so I’m not worried about it. The Robins as wireless iems are so dope though. Super happy with them. I’ve also found that tips can make a pretty big impact on iems, and both comply foam tips and spring fit tips have made a huge impact in sound quality by improving the seal. All that said, sound is pretty subjective. Sometimes you just have to find something that you like more than you dislike, and be happy with it. It’s an expensive rabbit hole. I’m lucky that I grabbed a pair of Fostex TH-X00’s about 10 years ago that ended my search for headphones by being everything I wanted at a price I was ok with. Even after listening to $1000 Focal cans nothing I heard I thought justified a $600 price increase. They were a little bit better, but not $600 better. To me. Hopefully you can find a pair you’re happy with sooner than later! It’s fun, but as seen on the iem and headphone subreddits, you can end up buying an awful lot of pairs searching for what you want and iems in particular are near impossible to test before buying. Just read reviews, learn what sound signature you prefer (v-shape, neutral, etc) and hope for the best.
r/BandMaid • IEM for listening to Band Maid ->Best value??? Hmmm… 🤔 Well, from my relatively small sampling of IEMs between $20 and $250, I would offer two options: 1. Best value based on overall sound performance? Truthear HEXA is my personal choice. Yes, as many point out, they can be clinical sounding to some. Fair. They are not overly musical. But, put on some Acoustic tracks, Steely Dan, The Eagles and the like and you will have a helluva listening session. 2. The DSP version of the Simgot EW300 is the best value for the money in my view. They are very versatile and, if you have a USB-C device, the EW300 are plug and play easy. Those and the DSP version of the MoonDrop Chu 2 are my go to recommendation for friends and fam wanting to try IEMs for the 1st time.
r/iems • What are some of the most value for money IEM's? ->your case is same as mine, i would enjoy Tanchjim Bunny over my Ew300 set
r/iems • I cant really tell the difference between 200$ IEMs and 30$ IEMs ->Have you tried changing the nozzles and tips? You get different tuning with different nozzles. Plus there are small foam filters to put in. Try experimenting with those too... I have the hbb version (judging by the picture, you do too) and I like mine
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->It's hard to get IEMs to sound as good as over ears since there's much bigger drivers. I tried some Fiio pair that people recommended, but that sounded so holo and empty when anyone was speaking, but I spent money on Simgot Ew300 dsp and they're probably as good as I'll get for my ears. Nearly identical sound signature to the tygr 300rs where it's good enough bass and clarity in the highs and mids without it being piercing
r/iems • DT 880 equivalent ->If you like solid bass and decent mids that don't sound like they're coming out of a tin can, the simgot ew300 have been my favorite so far. Bought some so that I don't wear over ear headphones majority of the time when playing anything and have it pushing on my hair. The FIIO FH3 were disappointing to me, anyone talking sounded like they came were using a Campbell's can with a string attached as a microphone.
r/iems • I just got an IEM but I find no significant difference? ->I've loved my EW300 so far, pretty bassy without having the issues my last IEMs had where the mids sounded like they were talking into soup cans
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->My first pair was some Fiio pair (o think the F3?) that everyone raved about for gaming and sound quality compared to how cheap it was....was one of THE WORST sounding hollow tin pieces of shit ive ever heard lol. I swore off all IEMs after that thinking they could never compete with "real headphones" but then I got pretty damn lucky; there was a pricing error on Amazon and I bought 2 pairs of EW300 DSP for me and my ex for $8 each (was supposed to be $80) and damn were they actually pretty fucking close, just had weird highs that I started hearing and didnt like them after 5 months, so I gave them to my niece and bought myself a used pair of 7Hz timeless and just cleaned them, absolutely my favorites so far. I fear this new hobby of mine is going to cost me more than my ex ever did, which she made off with $1000s worth of shit. Oh well I got better headphones/earbuds now 1 point for me; 3450 for her
r/iems • Well that escalated quickly ->Using the Letshuoer S08 and I love it. Previously tried Simgot EW300 and Simgot supermix 4. Found the Simgot EW300 was too heavy for my ears and that the Simgot Supermix 4 was too bulky to have a nice fit.
r/iems • Recommend IEMs for small ears in the budget up to 100 dollars ->Simgot EW300 sound really good, great options in box, but do not fit well for about 30% of people. Probably fit better in smaller rather than larger ears. I have tried a bunch of tips and they just do not fit well for proper seal and to remain in place.
r/iems • IEM recommendations ->Agreed. I have been lampooned for my review of the EW300 saying it was sub-mid. And other have taken issue with Tone Deaf Monk, and JayTiss for saying the same thing. The EW300 is absolutely overhyped, and is not kind to certain ear anatomy. For some people it sounds great...i naturally assume those people have never heard anything else, and have zero frame of reference. EA500Lm and Delci AE are superior.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->Why these two? Cadenza is a$30 IEM (Get the KB01 for $20, it's exactly the same) And the other is an $80 dollar tribrid IEM. They aren't in the same class. So I am confused as to why these two?? The Cadenza is mildly better than the Chu2, but not enough to not call it a side grade. And the KB01 exists for Chu2 money if you really want to hear it. The EW300 is sub mid. Lots of ear gain issues, and generally not that amazing. It's way over hyped, IMHO. If you want that tuning, get the TRN Shell, or the new Simgot EG280. I like it more than the EW300, ans it comes with a DAC that has EQ tunability via their app. There is a lot a lot of good stuff at $50, and even better sub-$100. So it's weird to see two totally different priced IEMs as your choices.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->I bought both pairs and found no difference. OPs perceived differences are more than likely down to QC. The only difference is the shell of the IEM (polished silver vs sandblasted matte black).
r/iems • Simgot EW300 & EW300HBB 2 Months Review ->I bought both pairs and found no difference. OPs perceived differences are more than likely down to QC. The only difference is the shell of the IEM (polished silver vs sandblasted matte black).
r/iems • Simgot EW300 & EW300HBB 2 Months Review ->Thanks. I auditioned the ew300, and I liked it a lot. Very good value for the price.
r/iems • I've fallen in love ->EW300 owner here, absolutely love them.
r/iems • The Best IEM Builds at Each Price (2025 Ultimate Guide) ->Once again thank you for all the hard work, went ahead and bought myself the ew300. Sound great so far. Still testing them out. 😃
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->personally i have owned the ew300 and i upgraded to the performer 5+2 and i really enjoy it really recomend
r/iems • Upgrade path from Simgot EW300 ->Check out the simgot ew300. Right around $75 mark. Sound incredible. I too was coming from the AirPods Pro but the sound quality is incredible
r/iems • How much better is IEM compared to TWS? ->The uno is a great little dac/amp, I’ve got one and love it - but I personally think the Hexas are terrible, completely lacking any lower end. Simgot EW300 is a great alternative. For me the EW300 outshine a lot of sets I’ve had up to the 1k mark. Amazing lower end and detail, pretty much covers all bases.
r/iems • New to IEMs and wanted to know if this is a good first setup ->I’d go Simgot EW300s. Only about £60 and blow away some much more expensive Campfire Audios I’ve had. They do a standard cable version (3.5 or 4.4) as well as a DSP version if that’s what you prefer. Also have super solid all metal shells. https://preview.redd.it/rcdzjuz0gclf1.jpeg?width=2919&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9816ad0fa17fd11cf9213f5ab5583b4bbd0e7fca
r/iems • You guys ruined consumer audio for me… (Recommendation for next IEM) ->Because expensive doesn’t mean ‘better’. The DT770 Pros are used by a lot of my favourite producers, so it’s literally how the music is designed to sound. And to be honest I don’t use them that often, I tend to stick to IEMs. The Hiby IEMs I basically bought the for the sexy design. And the EW300s are for me, one of the best sounding IEMs for my frequency preference. I’ve had £300-£400 sets and the Campfire Dorados which are over £1k, plus about 10+ sets in between. All of these (except for a couple of sets) I sold after I got the EW300 as I love the sound of them. Each to their own, but more money doesn’t mean closer to your own sonic preferences.
r/iems • You guys ruined consumer audio for me… (Recommendation for next IEM) ->I mainly listen to DnB and Glitch-hop, these were a huge let down for me. Massively lacking in bass, and especially sub bass. So I’d skip these to be honest given your music taste (which is great 🤣). I’d gibe the Simgot EW300 a try, I bought those after I sent the Hexa back and they’re a really punchy set with great bass, and about the same cost. Plus they have an all metal shell which I prefer to resin shells. They have just released the TruthEar Pure though, which is supposed to be a Hexa with more sub bass - but I’ve not personally heard it so comment if it’s good for DnB.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->I really like them to be fair. With a decent amp they can be really gutsy, and I’m a bass head!
r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->Punchy, but can have some really deep rumble too.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->If only the ew300 didn't have the heart decal on them!!!
r/iems • In search of the perfect bass head IEM - HBB edition ->It's a well respected iem. Cult classic . And mad vfm. Truthear always give sthe biggest bang for buck And the soundstage not very wide on those. Simgot ew300 is the best option if u want a fun sounding iem. If u want more neutral one , hexa
r/headphonesindia • Best IEM in India under 10000 ->They're both amazing so you can't go wrong with either of them, my personal recommendation would be the hexa, but if you prefer to have more bass then go with the ew300.
r/iems • Truthear hexa or simgot ew300 ->Around your budget the best choice for you would be a Simgot EW300 (especially since you'll be using it for gaming), or a moondrop May. If you could increase your budget though i think you would really like the Kiwi Ears Aether as it has great bass without sacrificing the clarity, you could also get a DAC such as Jcally jm6 (i personally have no experience with it but i see other people recommend it very often), or just use any aux to type C adapter (the IEMs also have cable options with type C).
r/iems • Budget of around 50-100 £/$ ->Nice choice. Congratulations. I was going to get them aswell but ended up getting the simgot ew300 dsp. I recommend them as your next upgrade. They just sound phenomenal
r/iems • Got my first IEM today ->Its because I always thought it was BS. Till I got my first pair the dt 990. Then i realised what people are talking about. I got then the hifiman 400se as my first planars because I wanted to try planars and they sound completely different. I wanted to test out iems so I got the ew300 dsp. Now I want to get more headphones and more iems😂 My list includes the: Dusk 2 1990 pro mk2 Hd660s2 Edition xs Arya organic
r/iems • Looking for IEM recommendations and MP3 player recommendations ->I have them and I love them. I use them with the fiio JA11 and they are perfect for any genre. They are totally worth the price, I don't know why they hate them.
r/iems • Simgot EW300 review and small rant ->First of all, what genre do you listen to? In my experience I had them and returned them, I usually listen to a lot of metal so on the Klean the male voices are a bit sunken and the kick of the drums just doesn't feel as present. I changed them for the Simgot EW300 and they are perfect for any genre, they did not decrption me at all. I've been with them for months now.
r/iems • What are your thoughts on the Kefine Klean? ->EW300(HBB collab) ... SM4 on sale EM6L(EM6L is exactly 100 USD).. EM6L is the best for the price bracket..
r/iems • Hey im looking to get iems for Christmas which ones would yall recommend for a 100 euros budget ->EW300. I love these are all types of music.
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->I have the EW300 and they are incredible. Can definitely recommend them as general IEMs. Very fun tuning.
r/iems • Looking for Wired Gaming IEMs with Mic for PS5 (mainly for FPS games like Battlefield 6) ->Yes. Like you, I am new to this, and I just got some IEM's and they do make a difference. I find them more comfortable, and the sound quality is fantastic. If you wear them for 14 hours a day, I would definitely look into a pair that is comfort focused. I only have 2 pairs, but the Simgot EW300's are extremely comfy and I can wear them for many hours without fatigue. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will recommend even more pairs.
r/iems • Would a normal user like IEMs? ->For me, the EW 300 had beautiful workmanship and the accessories were sufficient. But ultimately, the bass had too little resonance for me (not much different from the ew200, slightly clearer and very loud). Compared to the EW300, the Hexa was also well made but with a minimalist design. The sound was more mid-range with strong highs. But here too, I found the bass lacking in punch.
r/iems • I am done for now ->I need to add this because it really sucks. I like it. they sound great but EW300's tips really cheap and bad. I change them with waners tips, they holds better and weirdly sounds better with them.
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->I use the Simgot EW300 and they're pretty good for most games. However, I don't have a PS5, so I use them on PC.
r/iems • Which one is the best for ps5 gaming? ->as my 1st IEM, Xuan nv or may because they are good all rounders & safe choice. S08 is good, but it's dark. And ew300 or artti t10 are also solid picks, but u might find them bright. Hexa is clinical, u might either love for their details or might hate them as they are unexciting.
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->I'm probably what you'd call a Simgot fan, although I haven't heard the ET142 or SM4. I have all the rest, but will be returning the EW300. In some ways it's the safest-sounding Simgot, but it has a weird upper treble shimmer (presumably caused by the PZT driver), but more problematically, it gets quite muddled in the midrange. All the other Simgots, while some might find their house tuning bright, are technically exceptional and don't have problems with instrument separation like the EW300 does. It's possible I could have fixed more things through tip rolling, but I had had issues with the fit, where most tips would just pop out of my ears. So I was left with about 5 tips that fit and just had to pick the one that did the best job of fixing the treble. To be fair they *did* fix the treble, so that part at least can be addressed. Case in point. I just decided to get out my EW200 to see if it's really as bright as some people in this thread are saying (it's not, but I haven't listened to it for a while and it is brighter than I remember it being, so I can see how some people wouldn't like it). Anyway, I was listening to on my of test tracks, [This City Made Us by The Protomen](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNtXuKBu3gE) on the EW300 earlier. The main distorted guitar parts just turn to mush. It just came back on while listening to the EW200, and it actually handles this track better, with no muddling or mushiness.
r/iems • Which IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆 ->I don't like the EW300 and will be returning mine (got it a couple of weeks ago on sale). The problems I have are: 1. Most tips pop out of my ears. It acts like the nozzle is short, although it doesn't look all that short. I think it's something to do with the fit generally rather than nozzle length per se, but the end result is I can't use most of my tip collection with them. 2. With most tips, there's too much upper treble. It sounds zingy and metallic, although fortunately it's at such a high frequency that it's not fatiguing - the rest of the tonal balance is actually very nice for me, as I wanted something warm-but-clean. 3. I was able to get a good fit with Penon Liqueur Orange tips. This tip does fix the zingy treble issue as well, as it rolls off just enough of the upper treble that the timbral issues go away. 4. The biggest issue: the midrange gets very muddled in busy tracks. Normally I would try other tips to see if that helps, but I'm limited to one tip that both fits properly and gets rid of the zingy upper treble. So given all that, I could recommend that you try some other eartips, but my experience (as someone who owns about 40 different tips) is that I couldn't fix everything, and many of them just didn't give a good fit at all. So I doubt you'll have more luck and it could just be a waste of money. FWIW, I don't find the bass to be bloated, but the midrange problem I mentioned is very similar to how something sounds when there is a problem with bass bleed or muddiness. It just manages to do that with only a somewhat warm tuning rather than what I'd consider to be too much bass. I suspect the problem is more to do with the crossover design and driver architecture, although there's no way I can prove that, it's just a guess. IMO, you should probably return these and get something else. I'm a bit of a Simgot fan, but these have been the only one I've tried and been disappointed with. One word of warning about the Hexa: the nozzle is quite large, so if you have smaller ear canals that could be a problem. I have fairly average ear canals and find the Hexa uncomfortable with most tips, but not painful. I can make them comfortable with smaller eartips, but there's only one that really works fully (Zhulinniao Zhu Rhyme). Also if gaming is a priority for you, the Hexa has quite a narrow soundstage, Many say it's not good for positional cues in games, probably for that reason. The EM6L costs a bit more, but is basically where gaming performance caps out, so spending more will not noticeably improve performance.
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->Haven't heard the Xuan Nv or the May, but understand both to be pretty safe choices. Also the Kefine Delci is around that price if you want something a bit warmer/bassier. Thoughts on the ones I have: * Hexa - Boring neutral isn't for everyone and the nozzles are quite large, so many will find it uncomfortable. There are also better options if you really want a neutral tuning. * S08 - Very good but also very tip-sensitive, so might not work for you. Quite a niche, dark tunning with slightly boxy bass. Sacrifices some of the things planars are normally good at to get rid of planar timbre. Very good imaging, but the soundstage is very small & intimate. Probably not the best all-rounder or first IEM. * EW300 - Pretty safe warm-neutral tuning except for some zingy upper treble that throws everything off (fixable with tips, but you need a tip collection). Big problem is the midrange gets very muddled with busy tracks, so $20 1DD sets will outperform then a lot of the time. Avoid.
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->If you use the HBB nozzle (I forget which one that is but they all come with the same nozzles, not just the HBB version) then I would say yes. Any brightness is down to a very large treble peak it has at around 11kHz, so it all comes down to whether or not you can eliminate that peak. One way is with EQ and you may be able to fix it with tip rolling. If you can't get rid of that peak then cymbals, hi-hats etc., will sound quite wrong timbrally and very fatiguing. So it all hinges on that really. If you get rid of it, I'd say it's a pretty warm and laid back sort of tuning that shouldn't get fatiguing. The reason I returned mine wasn't because of that treble peak (which I did get rid of) but because they get a bit muddled in the midrange with busy tracks. If you're not listening to especially busy rock/metal with lots of distortion then that might not be a problem. Apart from that, they're pretty resolving and sound quite good. The Explorer is IMO slightly better, but it's going to be very dependent on your ear, because they can make vocals sound both muffled and sibilant at the same time. Not everyone seems to notice this, so it depends on how sensitive you are to sibilance around 5kHz - if you look at a [graph](https://squig.link/?share=Harman_Adjusted_Target,Super_22_Target,IEF_Comp_Target,Aful_Explorer), there's a slight peak at 5kHz but what's unusual about it is that it's higher than the top of the eargain at 2kHz. I think that's why it sounds very sibilant to me, despite the relaxed eargain. I wasn't able to fix it with tip-rolling. I find that issue sufficiently annoying that I'm most likely going to sell my Explorer, but in every other way it's an extremely good IEM (including comfort, which is also a lot better than the EW300). If you're prepared to use EQ, it should be fairly easy to fix, and it's possible it might not bother you so much in the first place.
r/iems • Is the simgot ew300 for long listening? ->IMO the EW300 is pretty overrated and this sub can be a huge echo-chamber at times. The reviews from well-known/trustworthy audio reviewers mostly put it at "OK". It's got a pretty safe tuning though and the way it sounds is, at least on initial listening, much cleaner and more resolving than more budget IEMs. However, the EW300 seems to have coherency issues that mean the mids can get very muddled with busy tracks. It also has an annoying upper treble peak (possibly caused by the PZT) that takes some tip-rolling or EQ to fix. That doesn't solve the coherency issue though. TBH I wouldn't put the Delci much above it either. The Delci is just a nice 1DD that's not a huge technical upgrade over the $20 ones, but it has a slightly better driver and very well tuned. And a general advantages of 1DDs, unless there's something badly wrong with them, is no coherency issues. It's also built really well and is extremely comfortable, so all those things combined make it a very good IEM. It's not quite on the same level as the Kato or other higher-end 1DDs though. Even the EA500 and EA500LM are much more capable technically, but the Delci is tuned better, without any harshness in the treble.
r/iems • My IEM journey and quick subjective reviews of the entry level IEMs I have purchased so far. ->I'm not sure about planars being better suited to headphones. I have the Edition XS which is very good, and I've tried a few Audezes as well. There's a lot of similarities in terms of the "planar sound" between those and the full-size planar IEMs (of which I have 5). It's hard to match a full-size planar IEM for resolution. The same is not true of the Shell. However, I can say that the Shell has some similarities with the Simgot EW300, which is another hybrid that includes a planar (different driver architecture though). They do have a fairly distinctive sound. I would describe it as exaggerated texturing throughout the midrange, without especially elevated treble (although the Shell is definitely quite v-shaped). Whereas a full planar is quite different, especially in how it presents bass. Planar bass gives you a lot more detail, instrument separation and quite linear extension, but it doesn't have the same mid-bass slam that you get from a DD. Planars can have a slightly metallic timbre generally (that I've tried, only the S08 doesn't, but I'd put it in a different category of planars, with afaik the only other one like it being the T10 Pro). This is something I notice on the full-size headphones like the Edition XS and Audeze LCD-X as well. It's important to realise that an SPD/micro-planar is more like a DD than a true planar and it sounds more like a DD. So if you want to hear a planar, you need to get a full-size planar. If you want to see them taken apart, there's a [teardown video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e75AUDGfGhE&t=2345s) you can watch (timestamped to the relevant bit). In fact I also have the Kinera Pandamon, which is one of the earlier SPD implementations that uses it as a full-range driver. It does sound like a DD, not like a planar. And in that case, not a particularly good DD either. Agree about the T10 being a bit ugly. It's unfortunate and I don't know why they didn't just make them in different colours like an Apple product, instead of beige. They'd be printing money if they did that. But aside from being one of the cheapest planars, it's also one of the best tuned ones and doesn't have fatiguing treble, but still has that planar resolving ability. I actually think they made it ugly on purpose to avoid cannibalising sales of the S12. BTW, my initial impressions of the Shell are that it's better than the EW300. Partly because the PZT on the EW300 adds a huge annoying treble spike. I got rid of that with tip-rolling, but ultimately returned it because of other tuning issues (that so far I haven't run into with the Shell and I did try some of the same test tracks to see if it handled them better). The Shell is definitely one of the best looking IEMs around as well.
r/iems • Any recommendations for a budget hybrid planar? ->The Zero Red has huge nozzles and is pretty overrated overall tbh. Decent tuning but it's not really worth the extra IMO. Best avoided unless you use large eartips. If you do have larger ear canals it a safe enough choice but not necessarily the best value. The EW300 is apparently quite good for gaming and I liked the overall tuning, but ended up returning it. It has two problems, along with a slightly shorter than average nozzle which may or may not cause a problem (it kept popping out of my ear with most tips, but it's not uncomfortable or anything). It has a big treble spike that may or may not show up in your ear canal and may be fixable by tip rolling, but that's not an option if you don't have more tips to try. I found the midrange got quite muddled with busy music but I don't know if that would affect games so much. It might cause imaging to break down if there's a lot going on. It's more resolving than the Klean, but the Klean is more coherent.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa or Kefine Klean? ->It looks like You had almost the same journey as me. I've also been loving various genres mainly EDM, and playing games a lot, and I used SteelSeries Arctis Nova7 before using IEMs. 2 Months ago, I made my choice, blind buying Mangird Tea Pro from Ali and I just fell in love in it. I still like my previous IEMs(Delci, EW300, NX7 Mk4, Vivace), but Tea Pro feels just way too good in both music and gaming. However, I highly recommend you to try it offline or check the return policy. Their shape is very unique and it might be awkward, the fit is perfect for me though. Anyway, Good for you enjoying music ! Good luck and have fun : )
r/iems • I've fallen in love ->At the very first time, I thought it was a bit tight. But now it just fits my ears perfectly, as I mentioned. Maybe my ear has adapted to it, lol. Whether I eat or talk while listening, it just sticks to my sweet spot. The main reason I chose Tea Pro was gaming. And it's been very satisfying. It sounds literally accurate and never misses small footsteps. I also love its sound signature. I'm still trying to figure out the difference between Tea Pro and my previous devices. One thing I felt was that it even changed my sound preference. I liked Kefine Delci more than Ew300 last year. I think I just cared about the quantity of bass, but now I feel differently, I like EW300 more for gaming and its balanced tuning. And, Tea Pro has richer bass, sweeter vocals, and crispy but not fatigueing hat than EW300. It's definitely an upgrade and even the endgame for me. I have actually never searched for another IEMs since Tea Pro. Hope you get my feelings through my bad English and choose well. : )
r/iems • I've fallen in love ->There are much better IEMs at the AirPod Pro price range, but I got the Simgot EW300 DSP with gold tips and my god I simple struggle to consider the AirPods even when they are more convinient. The sound is really something else.
r/iems • Alternative IEMs for someone who uses the AirPods Pro 2 daily ->Agreed. I had them for 2 weeks but also bought Daybreaks at the same time and didn’t want to keep both.
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->I'm a beginner and I'm using this list as a guide to compare different sound signatures and different price ranges. Based on it I got Kefine Klean and 7Hz zero 2, then I got Letshouer S08 and Simgot EW 300, finally till now I bought aful explorer. Different sound signatures different price ranges. Very good guide for beginners
r/iems • I was wondering if anybody bought an Iem by checking out the "Top 5 IEMs in every price range chosen by you!" // Criticism ->The Simgot Ew300 was my first IEM too, I never liked it much though.... I play only local flac and wav files via poweramp on a good DAC and my friends who were experienced audiophiles loved the sound the EW300 made on my setup. I however could not stand it. When you are a newbie, people assume that you are not likely to be all that fuzzy about your IEMs. Most are not. As IEMs are quite direct and detailed , it is almost impossible not to hear what you do not like about the sound they make. They say 'you will always need a better IEM than your first one, and your first one tells you exactly what you're missing'. For me I cannot use any IEM with its default tuning , i tweak the EQ to make my songs sound perfect to my ears. I could not do anything to the EW300 to make them sound good enough for me . Before buying my first IEM, I had tried Artti T10 planar before and I kinda liked it , I assumed the EW300 with its Annular planar on top of a 10mmDD and the Electrostatic driver must be amazing in details and lows. The EW300 admittedly has Good lows and nice details but they sound too screechy for me . I am not treble sensitive, I love a Good treble extension. I also love sub bass and mid bass along with elevated low and high mids. The problem i have with EW300 is with the 8k hz to 20k range. The 10mm DD is handling all the bass and mids from 20hz till 8K, which is fine as the DD does extremely well. The planar and the PZT buzzer takes over from 8k onwards. The sounds made by the DD is so refined in tamber that the other two drivers sound jarring in comparison. It makes me feel like I am in a room with one half surrounded by gorgeous speakers and the other half filled with Doorbell /Alarm and toy robot buzzers. It drives me half mad and I cannot be anything other than full gone mad. The 10mm DD on EW300 can handle EQ gains upto 3db as the 10mm is already doing a lot of work, the 6mm planar and PZT are not capable of handling any eq refinements as they are harsh drivers with limited ranges. For me they do not belong in the same system. My head rejects them. I recommend folks to try out a good rated single driver 10mm DD and a 13/14mm single planar driver on the same song via same source first before they purchase their first IEM. If you think you need EQ, the DD will work better. if you are sensitive to tamber / texture of the music the DD will sound better to you. For me a multiple DD IEM works better for EQ as I can tune lows mids and highs separately without harming my driver. Apologies for the ramblings. Welcome to the journey and enjoy your new toy. Make room for your collection, you'll have more toys soon .cheers
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->Yeah, this IEM itself is very sensitive to humidity, way more than others. Mine completely died because of it, even though I tried to avoid it. I’d recommend keeping them stored with silica gel when you’re not using them.
r/iems • A beginner’s review Apple Airpod Pro 2 vs Linsoul EW300 ->I would say save up. At this point they’re sort of side grades. If you can save up sn extra $50-100 over the cost of the SM4, which is already $150 (I think, unless it’s on sales or getting discounted after being out for a while) you’re in the $200-250 range and your options really open up more to get something markedly better than the kima2 or SM4. That’s just my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with either of those two IEMs (well, the SM4 wouldn’t work for me bring do bright). But there’s nothing wrong with your EW300. It is a very capable IEM.
r/iems • DUNU Kima2 vs SIMGOT SuperMix4 recommendations? ->The only difference with HBB is color, coming in black. The tuning is otherwise the same as the plain silver EW300’s. The HBB “collaboration” apparently didn’t quite work out and so there is no bass boost usually associated with HBB.
r/iems • What are the best IEM's I can get for under $150? ->The Singot EW300 are a great IEM with punchy bass and a decent tonal balance, the only downside is a little recessed mids. The Fat Freq Deuce x HBB has become my "daily use" IEM. It took awhile before I could get the EQ settings sounding right for the mids/highs but they are well balanced. The bass is simply silly, unreal, addictive and if it's not present in the track it's not added. It sounds like a well tuned high end home sub. As an added bonus they are the best IEMs or headphones I have found for movies.
r/iems • Suggest me a good bass-heavy IEM around $100 ->I genuinely can’t recommend putting any iem above a certain ohm threshold onto an ps5 controller, it will sound very flat. (I speak from experience as i used my Simgot EW300 on an ps5 controller and it sounds so god damn flat…)
r/iems • Best iem for ps5 gaming/daily usage ->Have you tried the EW300 with the gold nozzles and pink ring? That makes it sound a lot closer to your preference.
r/iems • Recommend me an iem around 100 usd. ->U get so much with ew300. Get the dsp version tho, u can always plug diffrent cable
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->+1 for the ew300. Absolutely love my pair!
r/iems • Recommendations for Upgrading from Moondrop Chu 2 Under $100? ->The pure might be better for you, it takes a bit to get used to it, akin to drinking coffee for the first time, the more you use it the more you will appreciate and love it. But the truthear pure has neutral-warm sounds signature which means that some people will find it muddy and some will appreciate its laid back and fullness nature( tho for me pairing it with bright sounding eartips is enough to "fix" the muddiness, not to mention the pure is really easy to EQ) The fit can also be a problem since the nozzle is quite huge(6.3 mm), so that's one thing you should consider too. However I think truthear pure is still a really good IEM, like it far better than Simgot ew300 or the tangzu Xuan NV.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa felt a bit too sharp and fatiguing, looking for smoother and more natural IEMs ->I know this is probably an unsolicited suggestion but if you do want the kz prx, get them off AliExpress, they're like half the price of the Simgot EW300 on there, and in India, on Indian retail websites both of them cost around the same. The EW300s are better though, having tried both. Cheers.
r/iems • Looking for IEM Recommendations Under ₹7K - Simgot EW300 vs Better Options?" ->I probably don't have as many IEMs as many of the people in this community, but being in India, with how prices are, it is crazy to have that many. Anyway, the Simgot EW300 is definitely the best sub 10k iem I've tried thus far. I do plan on getting the Juzear Defiants next month, have heard great things about them as well. But with your budget being exactly the price of the Simgot, I don't think you'll have any regrets getting them. Ps. The Simgot does require EQing to make it suit your taste.
r/iems • Looking for IEM Recommendations Under ₹7K - Simgot EW300 vs Better Options?" ->It's a lot of the same traits as the ew300 but just more refined. Like the tuning to my very untrained ear is very similar. Both great pairs, but the Defiant is just more refined and sounds better overall. But it also costs more money, so I guess that is expected.
r/iems • Looking for IEM Recommendations Under ₹7K - Simgot EW300 vs Better Options?" ->KZ ZS10 Pro 2 does V shaped pretty well, mids still there for sure, not crazy V shaped. Simgot EW300 is a rly solid pick.
r/iems • Recommend me an IEM for less than $100 ->I didn’t like supermix 4 at all, i would say nova is a lot better - watch this video to get your answer https://youtu.be/34xo1FCWdKI?si=wRcn0ej6gkFI63X4 If listen to pop, kpop and female vocals then only go with nova. Heyday is good brightish neutral option. Imo get the ew300 hbb as a fun all rounder plus hayday or xuan nv as neutral options this way you will be covered. If you want to buy only one iem that is an all rounder then have a look at pula pa02 or save up and get the Aful performer 5+2 trust me hype is real on the Performer 5+2 it's excellent. https://youtu.be/Rsr27Qpvgk4?si=Pgy812_lII1Tx2Ho If you have any questions or want to ask questions about any other iems you can message anytime would love to help you out.
r/iems • Help me pick IEMs (around 100-150$ used) ->Ew300 dsp and hbb sound very similar dsp one has ease of use that's it. I recommend them over ea500lm. Ea500lm is too bright. Explorer is bassy and laid back good for long listening sessions. Haven't tried the p50, but if you have the budget man get the Performer 5+2, it's excellent. Watch my review you will get the answer why I like it so much.
r/iems • Help me pick IEMs (around 100-150$ used) ->Seconding IEM's, they make a massive difference in positional sound accuracy. The Simgot EW300 are $65 and some of the best budget IEM's for gaming: https://www.linsoul.com/products/simgot-ew300 You can also check out /r/iems guide for more info: https://reddit.com/r/iems/comments/1hd2hd1/top_5_iems_in_every_price_range_chosen_by_you/
r/ArenaBreakoutInfinite • Gift for my bf who likes Arena Breakout ->Another vote for the EW300!
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->https://preview.redd.it/613wkkpz0pdf1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a99bc17fbfe460c460bcde0235ec63474c282a9 For me, the EW300 is very satisfying for hard rock and metal. I value vocals just as much as I enjoy the beats from percussion and guitar melody. I love that I can enjoy the singing or screaming with the beats driving the song energetically without being tiring (looking at you S12 Pro). Just know that IEMs is part of the experience. I love my iPhone but it’s the last device I’d use to enjoy my music. I’ve attached a pic of my Hiby M300 paired with the standard version of the EW300. Kept the stock cable but switched the ear tips to KBear 07. Hope you find this info helpful! 🤘
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->Hi! My advise is to buy these IEMs from a place that allows returns. It's so hard to choose an IEM based on other people's opinions and experiences and there's always that possibility that you will not like the IEMs even though they meet your criteria. I say this to you because I noticed that the IEMs felt heavy after wearing them for more than an hour, and the discomfort did not go away after changing the cable and ear tips. I doubt that is the EW300s' fault. I really enjoy the sound coming out of those, but maybe they're not a good fit for me because I have small ears and I'm not used to heavy things, not even heavy earrings. I still use the DSP version of the EW300s for gaming since I spend no more than an hour on video games. However, I listen to music and podcasts for several hours, and for that purpose I use the Kefine Delci AE. Please do your research (there's lots of great info on the reddit wiki and Youtube) and try to buy from a place that accepts returns or exchanges. If you do not think that the weight will bother you, than go for the EW300s. They feel very durable and I think you'll definitely get your money's worth.
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->I got my simgot ew300s on sale for $55. V shaped sound. They sound amazing with my 5.5
r/ipod • Best Earbuds For iPod ->Delci AE is better for gaming, otherwise EW300, all around EW300 is just better, Delci AE is only better than $49 Klean for gaming
r/iems • Kefine Delci vs. Simgot EW300 – Which One Should I Buy? ->for gaming specifically Kefine Delci AE($90) > Kefine Klean($50) > EM6L($110) > Truthear Zero($60, aka. Blue 1) = Tripowin x 0diBi: Vivace($30) > Simgot EW300($80) = Truthear Zero:Blue2(70) = Truthear x Crinacle Zero: Red($65) = QKZxHBB($20) > Moondrop Rays($100) I prefer everything here except maybe Vivace and QKZxHBB over Delci AE for music tho, this is strictly for gaming how they stack up
r/iems • Any budget IEMs below 100$ ->The S08s are a less technical IEM so less detail, less precise imaging, all of which is needed for a good gaming IEM. The Simgot EW300 is a good gaming option, it is even available in a USB-C DSP cable version if you don't already have a good audio source.
r/iems • Is the Letshuoer S08 good? ->I have the Arctis Gamebuds and it's fantastic on 2.4ghz. Never bothered to game on BT since latency will always be much lower over 2.4ghz dongle than BT. I've gamed for 6+ hours on my X on AC power and I still had plenty of juice left on the Gamebuds. Sound quality on the Gamebuds is awesome and I just set up the EQ. using my iPhone - the 2.4ghz dongle is configured for 1 EQ (for whatever game I'm playing these days), and BT is set up for another EQ (for music and calls). Plug the dongle into whatever laptop I'm using and it just works, no pairing or config needed. Aside from not having multipoint BT, I really enjoy the Gamebuds and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you're looking for something for gaming and everyday use. If you don't mind going with a wired IEM, it's worth considering the Linsoul SIMGOT EW300 DSP as it comes with a USB C end. And doesn't cost a fortune. Decent sound isolation, but not noise cancelling. can wear them for hours. Upgraded from Linsoul KZ ZS10 Pro which isn't bad but uses a 3.5mm jack and frees up a USB C port. Both have mics as well and work great with iOS, Android, WIndows, MacOS, Bazzite :)
r/ROGAllyX • Best earphones to pair up with the allyx? ->I already have the EW300 DSP (my first IEM) and I love them. I can't imagine how more expensive ones like the Horizon or Odyssey 2 would sound
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->Maybe the tuning isnt to your liking. TBH I have the red and it doesn’t get a lot of use, some say it’s great for online gaming. I prefer the hexa a bit more. I got the blue2 recently and that’s a pretty good harman tuning. My main iem i use a lot atm is the simgot ew300 hbb. Pretty great for the price. It has a more planar sound to it though but bass is tight and punchy.
r/iems • Disappointed with the Truthear Zero Red IEMs ->I have 20 sets of IEMs and the EW300 has been my go to since buying them. It’s definitely the best way to go.
r/inearfidelity • Are $70 IEMs noticeably better than $20 IEMs In most ways? Or is it not enough of an upgrade? ->I’m interested in the ZiiGaat Horizon of course! I started my IEM journey over a decade ago with Mii IEM then converted to wireless headphones. I’ve returned starting with KiwiEars and now Sigmot EW300. I’m trying different USB C DACs.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->I was pretty much in the same boat, had the EW300 hbb and was looking for an upgrade as they didn't really sit well in my ears even after tip rolling. Narrowed it down to the P7 and Odyssey 2s and was looking for a similar sound style with bass since I listen to a lot of rap/hip-hop, ended up going with the Odyssey 2 on prime day on Oct 8th for around $300 cad. The bass is nice and punchy and it also sounds insane on Battlefield 6 with all the explosions but it doesn't drown out footsteps or anything. Biggest thing for me with the Odyssey 2s are the comfort, miles more comfortable for me, have had them in for 5-6 hours without having to really adjust them unlike the EW300. The P7s are also resin which kind of did draw me away from them.
r/iems • Bassy, V-Shaped IEM Recommendation? $50-$300 CAD ->The 300’s I think aren’t super hard to drive, I’m listening to mine on an iPhone 15pro with the EU version of the usb-c —> 3.5 jack adapter and they can get up to almost 110dB. Also here’s my review as a relatively new person to all of this with my first set. I wrote the review the same day I got them. https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/52eYKHUtCn
r/iems • EW300 for console and pc gaming ->Testing the standard 300’s right now and having them plugged in the controller they have just enough volume to hear everything but they also aren’t piercingly loud like Apple earbuds that I used to use on my ps4
r/iems • EW300 for console and pc gaming ->Can vouch for the ew300s. Much smaller than the typical truthears and kzs.
r/iems • Help me choose small but good IEMs under $100-120 ->would be best if you have a way to sound demo them because everyone likes something different. I heared that the ew 300 is one of the best Iem under 100€ then I testet it and many other Iems and found out that the Aria2 for me sounds like 2x better than anything else I heard under 100€
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->Mmm that's important. There IS a noticeable change when using both nozzles. The golden one fits the description you mention of bloaty bass, but the silver one is quite good, airy and punchy. Maybe try with different tips? Or if the cable is the usbc one, could you try an analog one?
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->i know i told him to buy simgot ew300 small iem's yet bright and a little bass , asked him about his genre
r/iems • Recommend IEMs for small ears in the budget up to 100 dollars ->Hello community! I’m back again with another IEM review for **single-player video games**. If you’re meeting me for the first time, here are the conditions of my analyses: * FLAC audio has been used to study the IEMs’ performance. * Musical compositions will not be referenced unless they are part of the game itself. * I do not analyze the performance of the monitors in eSports. * I am a PC gamer, and my analysis work is conducted on this platform. * I invite you, and I would love for you to read the entire review from a perspective different from the usual. The **Simgot EW300** were purchased with my own money (**€65**), and my priority is to be as impartial as possible within the subjectivity inherent in analyzing an audio product. Let’s get started: https://preview.redd.it/ij9ciwjuk6of1.jpg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6064927e8d0397c70e14ada5d606dda4698cee5e * The box housing all the contents could belong to a higher-end IEM, but **Simgot** is a brand that cares about packaging and content, giving a sense of value, as we will see below. https://preview.redd.it/ro12uvyvk6of1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eda4e9a7246081eeba447fc63863e20dcbeb19c8 https://preview.redd.it/909p49jxk6of1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6bf8040e0e960c9c8f8c7c27cadbb18a91c275a Removing the cover, you find the **capsules** well protected by a foam insert and the accessory box decorated with golden screen-printed lettering. https://preview.redd.it/at3ptsryk6of1.jpg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac3eb067795e8a29c18c05bd471887ae8bbf376e * A **rigid case** for transport and safe storage, with no logo. * A small bag with **O-rings** for replacement in case of wear. * A small bag with a set of **ear tips** in sizes S, M, and L. * A small bag with a set of **gold nozzles** for boosting low frequencies if needed. * A small bag with **foam filters** to attach to the nozzles to reduce high-frequency extension. * The **cable** of correct length, with 0.78mm connectors made of oxygen-free copper with silver plating, wrapped in translucent plastic revealing black and copper tones, giving it an eye-catching aesthetic. **Robust 3.5mm termination** and a **slider** that truly functions to hold the cable in the desired position. https://preview.redd.it/39lw5276l6of1.jpg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=934eabd6deb6ef9ad99afcdc344356cbd5f13e78 * The two **capsules** hide a tribrid configuration: 1 **dynamic driver**, 1 **planar magnetic** driver, and 1 **piezoelectric** driver. Made from high-density alloy, everything feels extremely precise and well-crafted, with a fantastic mirror finish that attracts fingerprints. The right monitor is decorated with a heart, the left with an X. They give the feeling of a higher-value, truly premium product. https://preview.redd.it/sf8d3cw7l6of1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a6e354dc8a9fcd9bc13aa77893f70ced18ca14e Regarding **comfort**: although they feel heavy in the hand due to the metal construction, I noticed no pain or discomfort. I can say that after **hours of gaming**, they feel light and fit like a glove. The capsule is neither large nor small, sitting within the average for this class of device. The included **ear tips** are excellent, made from fully flexible material that adapts to your ear. The **nozzles** are appropriately sized to fit into your ear canal without feeling too close to the eardrum or loose. The cable feels **well-built**, not flimsy to the touch, while maintaining enough flexibility to avoid tangling. https://preview.redd.it/lbwxv68al6of1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=328af381beb71ab487028e2acc95530f3178179b The **Simgot EW300** have an impedance of **28 ohms** and a sensitivity of **121dB** for the silver nozzle and **119dB** for the gold one. The difference indicates a slight variation in acoustics. They don’t need amplification to reach their potential, but I always use a **DAC/AMP** to achieve extra clarity and power. For my gaming sessions, I chose the **silver nozzle** with the red ring, as it stands out from the rest of the range, which tends to push the mids back, achieving a **U-shaped** signature that gives more forward, clear vocals. https://preview.redd.it/n6c8e93dl6of1.jpg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02ea4d1d313dea26e46b19c9c96d1aabcef554c7 For this purpose, the **EW300** starts showing its arsenal: a 10mm dynamic driver (**1DD**) made of liquid crystal polymer coated with metal handles low frequencies, delivering emphasized, rich, and fast bass. The planar driver (**1 PLN**, or micro-planar) takes over the midrange, adding clarity, separation, and detail to voices and instruments. Finally, the crown jewel: the piezoelectric driver (**1 PZT**) delivers brightness and microdetail in the soundstage. https://preview.redd.it/lz1b061el6of1.png?width=2400&format=png&auto=webp&s=c62553d230b3bec5a6b3a97e488c547979c1d1cf Now, let’s see how well (or poorly) the **Simgot EW300** performs in single-player games. I selected **six games** to examine soundstage, imaging, sub-bass, bass, mids, treble, microdetail… All images are spoiler-free. All games were played by me **natively on PC**, replaying sections multiple times to capture details and form my opinion. The source for this IEM analysis was the **FiiO K11**, **silver nozzle with red ring**. **Baldur’s Gate 3 (Larian Studios, 2023)** For me, the best RPG in history; it offers not only a rich narrative and countless gameplay options but also fabulous audio treatment. https://preview.redd.it/a4wkrr6gl6of1.png?width=3547&format=png&auto=webp&s=b2f342e36f97c807dc8a5f8e0af0624e901b2b9e In this scene, the **Simgot** fully exploits its power, delivering a wide soundstage far above other IEMs in this price range, even pricier ones, with excellent three-dimensionality: explosions, spaceship flight, gunfire, and screams are all perfectly positioned in horizontal and depth axes. **Dark Souls III (From Software, 2016)** A franchise I’m a fan of (not just a Souls-bro), exemplifying excellent layering and sound mixing. https://preview.redd.it/s06l34yhl6of1.png?width=3816&format=png&auto=webp&s=c14681e3cb50e8ad665ea0d1706a4e6059703b97 In the opening scene, the **EW300** allowed me to almost analytically locate where enemies were hiding. The imaging is sublime. https://preview.redd.it/vdmljy3ll6of1.png?width=3824&format=png&auto=webp&s=6729c9eefaec8a313ca0129d6ea922e4c59a554d Here, the game delivers many elements: enemy screams, axe impacts, beast halberd strikes, and its magnificent OST. The **EW300** is not bad, but not the most resolving I’ve tested. While slam impacts are quick and well-defined, bass is physical, lively, and forward; treble is free, airy, detailed, and natural. Mids recede when orchestral cellos appear, darkening the mix that a flatter signature would handle better. The micro-planar didn’t perform optimally in chaotic moments. https://preview.redd.it/mlz777jml6of1.png?width=3839&format=png&auto=webp&s=f6d7e816b3581363a66cded293ce82779ac99662 At the Firelink Shrine, microdetail is astonishing: the piezoelectric driver renders flames and vocal reverberations with incredible clarity. Even Andre the blacksmith hitting his hammer is reproduced with purity, dynamism, and delicacy akin to more analytical monitors. **Mafia: The Old Country (Hangar 13, 2025)** The most modern game in this review, which I completed from start to finish with these IEMs. https://preview.redd.it/93y95trpl6of1.png?width=3827&format=png&auto=webp&s=80e67188d7bf05281177cb82be37027225b66f51 Focusing on imaging: Mafia features many stealth segments requiring precise audio positioning of enemies. The **EW300** performs superbly, especially in upper mids and treble, allowing near-surgical placement of static or moving elements. **Batman Arkham Knight (Rocksteady, 2015)** Testing bass/sub-bass speed and deep male voices. https://preview.redd.it/jbze21vql6of1.png?width=3839&format=png&auto=webp&s=e3e0b568eb6fb49cf116dd9a3e70fc0ad6341aa1 Batman’s voice is a delight. Despite entering ranges where frequencies dip slightly, it remains front and center, with physicality, prominence, and appropriate timbre. Bass is musical, warm, and precise, without overwhelming the mids. **Resident Evil 4 Remake (Capcom, 2023)** A tough test, but less punishing than Dark Souls III due to minimal soundtrack interference. https://preview.redd.it/5ski62otl6of1.png?width=3839&format=png&auto=webp&s=500379d7da7d5d1d2d1535913aaa90077ff92d54 All frequencies act simultaneously without collapsing: enemies are positioned holographically, both in depth and horizontal plane. Zombie voices are clear and front-centered, while explosions and gunfire enrich the soundstage with physical, punchy bass. Instrument separation is highly satisfying. **Tomb Raider (Crystal Dynamics, 2013)** Testing female voices. https://preview.redd.it/3a6z6hrul6of1.png?width=3839&format=png&auto=webp&s=312209d76d1abfa7edfd40be872a4e2a9d3fe162 The piezoelectric driver ensures naturalness and brightness in Lara’s voice, with no fatigue, even in thin vocals. **Conclusion** Overall, I am very satisfied. The **EW300** performs excellently across the spectrum, with noticeable but not excessive rumble, bass that remains defined, precise, and dynamic, mids that are smooth and well-integrated, and upper mids/treble that are balanced, detailed, and controlled. A solid product, an excellent purchase at **€65** for enjoying video games. If you’ve read this far, I hope it was an enjoyable read. More IEM reviews are coming soon.

r/iems • [IEMs x VIDEOGAMES] SIMGOT EW300 under review! Pics inside. ->From a subjective point of view, the Simgot ew300 are in that price range and it seems a miracle to me that they sound as good as they do
r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->well you haven't specified your tastes but I am gonna probably buy the simgot ew300 dsp(or the simgot ea500 dsp) so probably look between them. Simgot are a really trusted brand with a good image so simgot should be safe. I have bought 2 iems before the tangzu waner and the yu xuan ji they both kinda sucked since they don't have bass. These simgots are an all rounder. If you can increase your budget even a little buy the aful explorer. Here are some lists you can use if you want some more info [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zeby9PqsTmHMRQ3D3n5W\_1Gx9aNPPK67yoBl\_FXdaF4/edit?gid=0#gid=0](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zeby9PqsTmHMRQ3D3n5W_1Gx9aNPPK67yoBl_FXdaF4/edit?gid=0#gid=0) [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XQtSH90BGK99Vij3dXcSylfwcut5XerPbkkEksFwATA/edit?gid=0#gid=0](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XQtSH90BGK99Vij3dXcSylfwcut5XerPbkkEksFwATA/edit?gid=0#gid=0) [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZHVib50XFQW4up3SwOZUTbI-hZB6Ir5LX6XnZblIM6o/edit?gid=0#gid=0](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZHVib50XFQW4up3SwOZUTbI-hZB6Ir5LX6XnZblIM6o/edit?gid=0#gid=0) hope this helps
r/iems • Been looking to get a set of iems for a while now, unsure which to get… ->It’s weird isn’t it. I got the EW300s a few weeks ago and I immediately wanted to upgrade and read through a ton of posts here. I think it’s because years and years ago I had the original wired apple earbuds, then I got M-Audio IE10s and was blown away by the clarity. Then I got shure se215s, then I got into KZ buds like a decade ago, then shure 425s and finally AirPods Pro. I’ve had those for like 6 years or whatever and when I got the simgots recently I remembered just how much detail music could have. And the fact that they are less than a third of what my shures cost made me think well if $80 gets me this good of sound, what does $300 get me?? I love the imaging and separation of the EW300s and I really want even more
r/iems • What do you guys think. ->It’s weird isn’t it. I got the EW300s a few weeks ago and I immediately wanted to upgrade and read through a ton of posts here. r/iems • What do you guys think. ->Imo Hexa sounds the best by a decent margin, but needs a deep insert. Tangzu is nice and pleasant, bit the bass is a bit fluffy. EW300 is fine.
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->EW300 is a good one for that price and notably better to the cheaper ones you've listed. Not always the case of course.
r/inearfidelity • Are $70 IEMs noticeably better than $20 IEMs In most ways? Or is it not enough of an upgrade? ->Excellent review! I owned this pair but unfortunately returned them due to a channel Imbalance I didn't know how to fix. i keep thinking about picking up another pair. I just might after reading this but I feel my Kiwi Ears Aether are perhaps too similar. Again, brilliant post.
r/iems • [IEMs x VIDEOGAMES] SIMGOT EW300 under review! Pics inside. ->Yes, I have T2s, CCA C12s, and now my newest pair from Linsoul the EW300. Plenty of bass, great clarity, fully immersed. I have the SMSL DL200 dac/amp which is just beautiful sounding. So if youre having issues it could be the IEMs youre getting or your dac.
r/iems • Are IEMs really good for gaming? I have a doubt. ->Own the DSP & it's great. Build, design, sound quality & the freedom to swap nozzles/cable although the default setup is enough with silver nozzle.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->I excitedly received the EW300 standard yesterday after reading many reviews of great bass/sub bass. My experience is the complete opposite and find they don’t have any bass whatsoever, only used plugged into Xbox x controller so far. Any advice is appreciated.
r/iems • Simgot EW300 & EW300HBB 2 Months Review ->Appreciate the reply, was hoping mb I was doing something wrong or got a dud but will likely have to return them. Less bass would be ok but it’s pretty much nonexistent. I have a pair of xm5s I love and used them with 3.5 connected to controller only hate not having the ability to adjust volume without going into settings on Xbox, same with the ew300. TV volume would only adjust sound bar. Really don’t want to have to get another headset for the Xbox as I rarely use and don’t want more stuff but mb have to.
r/iems • Simgot EW300 & EW300HBB 2 Months Review ->I wrote to the manufacturer so we’ll see and they were purchased on Amazon and looks like I can return for refund. As you mentioned I believe it’s the Xbox controller. Unfortunately I don’t have anything with a 3.5 jack to test. I did watch a bass video on YouTube but didn’t hear a thing…
r/iems • Simgot EW300 & EW300HBB 2 Months Review ->I think getting the EW300 is a great choice, but I think that for a first IEM maybe some of the classic cheapies would set the bar at a decent starting point. I personally dont like to set the bar that high cause it might hinder the enjoyment of the below $50 iem. But either way, the EW300 are great, love mine!
r/inearfidelity • Are $70 IEMs noticeably better than $20 IEMs In most ways? Or is it not enough of an upgrade? ->Absolutely the best thing to do is try some out for yourself. The recommended list from this sub is here: [Top 5 IEMs in every price range chosen by you! : r/iems](https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/comments/1hd2hd1/top_5_iems_in_every_price_range_chosen_by_you/) But would it be a step up \*for you\* ? Well, that depends... Longer answer below: My IEM journey has been a short one. I bought one recommended from the sub-$50 range (the Chu 2) and one from the $50-$100 range (the Simgot EW300). Both sound good when used with equalization, although I do prefer the Simgots. However, I do not use IEMs for my office work. My workdays are much shorter (8-9 hours) and I work both from home and in an office. 1. I have nothing negative to say about the sound quality of IEMs. It is very good (and I listen to a lot of music) But I find both open-backed and closed-backed headphones to be more "spacious" sounding than IEMs which somehow sound "narrower". In your case you're not listening to much music and for calls you don't really need superb audio quality. So while for me, I find the sound quality of my headphones better than my IEMs, you may find for your use case either that you don't notice any loss (certainly if used mainly for calls) or that you simply don't care about the extra "space" of headphones. 2. Feel. This is the main reason I don't use IEMs. They block the ear (like your TWS) and I don't like that for extended periods. I've tried a lot of different tips but personally still feel a bit uncomfortable with them. Please note that many many others do not have my problem and you may well be one of these. That's why I recommend springing $20 (or maybe even $80) to try a pair for yourself. 3. One side-comment: I spent quite a lot of time on this sub before taking the plunge with IEMs and I still come back here often. Like any sub there are a wide range of contributors, from zealots to meh. I think a lot of people are on the IEM bandwagon right now because: i. it's the hottest new thing, with developments happening much more rapidly, and at more affordable price points, than with speakers and headphones. ii. the price/performance is superior. My (possibly unpopular) POV for sound quality remains: speakers > headphones > IEMs But that is very much my POV. Your ears are your own! There's no better way to find out than by taking the plunge.
r/iems • Would a normal user like IEMs? ->Aful MagicOne. These are about 70 bucks on AliExpress, probably the best under that sub 100$ price range, though you'll need a good dac, that'll cost you around 25-30 bucks, since these have higher impedance and power requirements. If you don't want to touch the 100$ mark and keep it relatively simple (no hassle of dac, etc) then Simgot Ew300 is a good shout. Apart from that when you access the community page, you'll find the post of list of top 5 IEMS in each category, that'll also help you explore further if you need more than these 2 suggestions.
r/iems • I need help in purchasing IEMs for my Brother. Budget- $100 max. ->Simgot ew300. $70 best bang for your buck. Easy to EQ as well so it can fit your music tastes. Disclaimer: gaming with IEMs compared to headphones will sound different than with headphones. Notice how I used the word different and not worse. Headphones have the audio coming from around you, so you can exactly hear when something is coming from your right, above you etc. IEMs sounds come from basically directly inside your skull, so you wont have the soundstage of headphones. Many say its worse, but honestly after you play with IEMs for a bit, you realise the surround sound aspect is just skipped over, like an unnecessary step, and the audio is the same. So if you want IEMs under 100, I would go with ew300. Try them for longer than a week. Dont like em? Just return em.
r/iems • Over ear headphone user that plays fps games thinking of switching to iems ->Head fi is full of multiple reviewers, and most say the ew300 is amazing bang for buck. Just because you sniff out one bad review and have that reflect the whole IEM does not mean others do too. The ew300 is quite literally the best IEM for under $100 rn. And for gaming, it was comparable to the EM6L, which is undoubtedly the best but the QC issues are the reason why no one (including me) never recommends them.
r/iems • Want a pair of IEMs for gaming, is Moondrop Ray a good choice? ->I dont have time to deal with your shit so I am going to keep this simple. There are reviewers outside Head fi, and most praise ew300 for the price. Even within head fi, reviewers acknowledge they are comparing these $70 IEMs to much more expensive sets. Some reviewers, however, take time to compare the ew300 to IEMs similar and in the same price range, and usually, the ew300 wins in those comparisons. Next, I did not say the EM6L were overall better than EW300, I said they were better specifically for gaming. The EM6Ls are THE gaming IEM and the fact you don't know this shows your naivety. For gaming, you go Zero RED and the best one next price range up is the EM6L, but the design is flawed and can't be recommended. Ew300 are in a similar price range to the REDs, and are much comfortable to many more people, hence I recommend them above the REDs. The EW300 has enough soundstage and imaging for gaming that is better than IEMs and headphones in the same price range alike, and it is very beginner friendly. You are given 2 different tuning nozzles, and 6 foam balls to help balance the treble for some. The ew300 is the best IEM in the $50-$100 range to EQ to one's own tastes and preferences. So if after 6 foam balls and EQ, the treble ends up being too harsh, you should just never be using IEMs in the first place. The Aria 2s are amazing? Most of the people I talk to in the IEM community literally recommend the OG Arias over the Aria 2s. The Aria 2s have great bass? Well the bass is much less than most IEMs (including the ew300) and the Aria 2s are considered a neutral IEM, so a basshead would never even go for then. The Aria 2s are praised for vocals, not bass, and they are worse than the Aria. (If you don't believe me about the bass, go on to aftersound, squiglink, crinacle's graph etc.) So yeah, say whatever you want, but the ew300 are an amazing choice as an IEM and the people I recommended to also loved them and have no regrets. You had 60+ IEMs, and are still so objectively wrong in so many ways. I won't be replying to anything else you say, as you just aren't worth my time.
r/iems • Want a pair of IEMs for gaming, is Moondrop Ray a good choice? ->I picked up some simgot ew300s for my first pair recently and I love em
r/iems • Suggest iems under 50-60 dollars please. ->Yesterday afternoon after 9 days of transit I recieved my pair of VX Pro+ and while all the reviews I had watched were mixed bags, talking about notorious quality control issues from the brand, the tangled cable, the horrible unboxing experience and all, I still bought them because after all the coupons they were a total of 36$ Cad. Since I only own two pairs of iems, I slapped dunu S&S tips on my VX pro+ and hooked them to my Moondrop Dawn Pro and decided to listen to my 6 favourite song of all time, one time on my VX, one time on my EW300 that I cable swapped for a tripowin zonie. Heres what I listened to : - No Surprises/Radiohead - Slipping Through My Fingers/Abba - Sunday/The cranberries - Operation Mindcrime/Queensryche - Starman/David Bowie - The Adults are Talking/The Strokes I was honestly blown away by my VX Pro+, the seperations between the instruments was way better, the drums sounded real, there was more bass, female vocals like on Sunday were almost ethereal compared to what i felt were a warmer toned ew300. I was honestly a little dissapointed by how my Ew300 performed in that little side by side comparison considering they were triple the price (110$ cad) and while ive used them daily for the last 2 months im wondering if I just dont get it. How does a 35$ set sound better than something triple the price.
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->Yeah ive tried the ew300 with the dunu s&s and i loved those but prefered the tang sancai standard bore tips. im looking for more duju s&s style tips or something that gives a little more bass
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->You should get the normal one and get a better dac amp, they sound better with a stock cable and my moondrop dac, but otherwise they sound great on theyre own, less of my prefered tuning though. stock dac cable is better for just ease of use and i use it on my computer now, up to you
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->Same here. EW is terrific, but the PRX is generally my go-to (for anything bass-heavy like EDM). It has a crazy amount of headroom and EQ scalability. When dialed in, the bass is rich, textured and fast, with great extension down to 20Hz.
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->I just got simgot ew300s and the bass is definitely solid. I like the bass on these much better than the castor bass. they’re about $60 usd. I use the gold nozzle that comes with the pink rubber ring so it lowers treble slightly and gives a bit of a warmer sound. the silver one is nice too but a bit too spicy for me, highs could be a bit much with the silver nozzles. I def recommend them tho cuz they impressed me. my iems before that were moondrop chu 2 and castor bass and they were both solid but the ew300s definitely outperform those two. edit: the ew300s are very similar with iems like the kefine delci and aful explorer. I personally prefer these because of how they look but they all sound very similar. even s12 sounds very similar to these, but those are around $110 and planar. the ew300 has a hybrid three driver setup. it’s up to u to try them and find what you enjoy
r/iems • That escalated quick / Need you suggestion! ->if you stretch they will be better, but there are decent options in that range. the s12 is a very good planar for the price (slightly over $100 typically), extremely good value especially with an eq. I own the simgot ew300 and it sounds quite similar to the s12 with some tonal differences. imaging is about the same, sound stage a little better on the s12.
r/inearfidelity • Best technical iem below $100 ? ->haven’t tried it but I’ve heard great things about it. on the ew300 the treble is quite loud and same with the s12 and most other planars in general but the ew300 comes with different rubber rings / gold nozzle that makes it noticeably tamer. with the s12 you’d just have to eq it probably, but it wasn’t super harsh just a bit much for me personally.
r/inearfidelity • Best technical iem below $100 ? ->I was going to mention that, planars do have a sort of tone difference. sometimes a nice DD is what you need lol. the ew300 has 3 drivers including a planar but it should be mainly for the mids while the dd does the bass and pzt for higher treble (\*\*\* I am assuming \*\*\*) so I don’t hear a metallic sound like the s12 but it didn’t bother me personally, I liked them both a lot.
r/inearfidelity • Best technical iem below $100 ? ->depends on the iem. I went from moondrop chu 2 and kz castor bass to simgot ew300 and I think it’s quite a big improvement. I love the sound and the look and the size, more expensive is just typically a lot more polished than cheaper options. also depends on what sound you like. personally I found them really great. I still like my chu 2s a lot too and the castor bass is just meh it’s a bit large and doesn’t sound all that good but it’s just trial and error for finding what you like.
r/inearfidelity • Are $70 IEMs noticeably better than $20 IEMs In most ways? Or is it not enough of an upgrade? ->Got them. They’re great.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->Should've got Simgot if you want clarity, check ranking list
r/iems • The Best IEM Builds at Each Price (2025 Ultimate Guide) ->Try Simgot EW300 3.5mm on sale
r/iems • My 2025 IEM TIERLIST/RANKING (39 IEMS JUNE FIRST HALF) ->I think for practice any decent IEM will do fine. I plug my Hexa to my multieffects directly for practice. If there's anything different for playing over listening it would be that you typically would want something more neutral/flat. Most of the top 5 lists are "V-shaped" with elevated bass and treble for a more fun listening experience. Personally I think a boosted bass is not the worst for live monitoring, but completely intolerable when I'm listening to playbacks of my recordings. Even mild V-shape makes everything bloated. The Hexa or the EW300 DSP are the only ones I have found OK but most people here would deem them to be too thin and have not enough bass. So probably look for sets that people are complaining about not having enough bass would be a good bet. Other considerations would be good isolation, which is much more important if you a jamming with a band, but would still help in solo practice, especially if you are using pitchshift. Some of the "good" IEMs are "openback" which has no isolation but gives a sense of a wide "soundstage". That's terrible for practice. You'd also want to protect your hearing. Personally I find any kind of distortion effect gives you a lot of treble. Its not noticeable at first, but after a while I noticed my ears hurting from it. So you would want IEMs with less treble. People here describe this as being "dark". And you absolutely should avoid anything described as "bright". Also dial down you treble more than usual on your amp if you don't want to lose your hearing early. If you are just using it on an amp, then you can just dial in your own balance. Just be aware for most IEMs you need lower bass and treble than usual. In that case, the only thing you really care about is good isolation. Most of the top 5s list are fine.
r/iems • Will regular IEMs for listening to music also be good for use with a guitar amp? I plan to use headphones exclusively for practicing guitar. Can I use the top 5 IEMs list on this subreddit, or should I look for headphones specifically designed for guitar? ->I've purchased a couple budget IEMs over the past few months as I introduced myself into this hobby. I started with the 7hz Salnotes Zero, then got the Truthear x Crinacle Zero:Red, and most recently the Simgot EW300 DSP. I have been listening to all kinds of music from various genres (mainly different EDM, rock, and a few others). I have also been using them for gaming as I previously use the Steelseries Arctis Pro. The difference in sound and the shear level of detail I hear in the music is remarkable. I have been trying different ear tips for the EW300 as I find the fit to be not that comfortable compared to even the Zero:Red which I think are quite large for my ears and stick out quite a bit. I love the sound of all of them but the profile for the EW300 is just great. I got into EQ a bit to see what all the hype is about and started AutoEQ to other IEMs I have been interested in. Doing research on everything, it has become quite an obsession I must admit. I understand the graphs and enjoy being able to visualize sound. I'm still learning about DACs and why they are important. I plan in the future to get another IEM that is more economic than the EW300 and have been looking into the ZiiGaat Odyssey as well as the Xenns Mangird Tea Pro. I set my EQ for the EW300 to match the Tea Pro and the sound is just that much better. The bass is clear and punchy and the miss and highs are detailed and accurate. There's not much of a point to this post. I'm not looking for information or suggestions really. Any information is always great, but I more just wanted to say thank you to the entire community for making this hobby one that is enjoyable and easy to get into. It has become my new obsession and I plan to stick with it for as long as I live. Music is my life and without it I'm sure I would be lost in this crazy world.
r/iems • I've fallen in love ->Seems like an upgrade to me. The zero red has a very nice sound to it but the EW300 can definitely handle more technical aspects. At least that's the way it seems to me.
r/iems • I've fallen in love ->Honestly they are all good for rock and EDM. Each has its own benefit. I haven't really used the Salnotes zero as much as the others but the zero red definitely has some kick to the bass for EDM which is great. The EW300 is no slouch in the bass department either but I believe the addition of the planar and PZT drivers make the mids and highs a bit more clear and concise which I really enjoy. Especially for drum and bass which needs to have a bit of bass and tremble to sound as good as it should
r/iems • I've fallen in love ->Sweet thank you! I find the EW300 great for gaming the only thing I notice is that it's hard to pinpoint if someone is at an angle from me. From what I've seen and heard everyone says the soundstage of the Tea Pro is great and really gives those much more accurate positions. I also used to care about quantity of bass but now I realize it's more about how pure the bass sounds. I feel the Tea Pro will be perfect for the things I enjoy just the same as you! Definitely got your feelings and your English is not bad at all. Thanks for the reply!
r/iems • I've fallen in love ->Did you configure your ew300? it feels soo bassy for cs2 and hurts my ears
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->Same here. Testing out my new simgot ew300’s listening to Californication by red hot chili peppers and thought a driver was loose or broken. I was hearing a very very very slight rattling or vibration in my left ear. Turns out it was just some noise or artifacting in the song I had never been able to hear before. Listening on Apple Music lossless
r/iems • IEMS so good I thought I had received a defective set ->Freaked me out at first but once I realized it was in the song and not my iems it was a big relief haha! It’s crazy how capable they are of reproducing every single tiny detail.
r/iems • IEMS so good I thought I had received a defective set ->70-80 range is a real sweet price point for iems and the EW300 is a pretty well loved one at that with a generally safe V-shape signature.
r/inearfidelity • Are $70 IEMs noticeably better than $20 IEMs In most ways? Or is it not enough of an upgrade? ->The same but with 50% L/R isolation. They are not the worst but a budget ones with a different sound assignature like Truthear Gate its a lot better in terms only of imaging and steps. I just bought a few minutes the simgot ew300 tomorrow I will leave feedback here with the comparison to Gate if the improve of imaging was good enough to spend the money.
r/GlobalOffensive • IEM for cs2 ->I had them all and I even tested tripowin vivace and in the end I ended up deciding on em6l. supermix4 hurt my ears, too much treble for me, ew300 good all round but imaging compared to em6l is far behind.
r/GlobalOffensive • IEM for cs2 ->yes definitely. I didn’t think the supermix 4 sounded much better, but the highs were much more aggressive. I played for 1/2 hour and was in pain. It’s very difficult to review CS. Thanks to Amazon.es, I tested them all... I ordered them, tried them for 1/2 weeks and returned them. I also had the Zero Red, gate and hexa but the order for me was em6l, ew300, tripowin, red, supermix, hexa and gate.
r/GlobalOffensive • IEM for cs2 ->I just returned my ew300 and got explorers, I wonder how those are gonna hold up
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->Most of my electronic music library is dubstep and DnB, and I personally love the Hexa for these tracks. The Truthear Pure sounds great as well but isn't as bright in the treble, which I feel helps a lot for DnB to bring out some clarity in hi-hats and breaks. It's a more "natural" and less analytical sounding set than the Hexa though, which a lot of people prefer. I've stuck with the Hexa and have it EQ'd with a bit more bass. The Simgot EW300 (using the included Silver/Red nozzle) would be a fine option as well, if you don't want to use EQ. The HBB variant of the EW300 is just a re-coloured version in black with the same tuning and same swappable nozzles, so you can choose either of the two variants depending on what is more aesthetic to you.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->Most of my electronic music library is dubstep and DnB, and I personally love the Hexa for these tracks. The Truthear Pure sounds great as well but isn't as bright in the treble, which I feel helps a lot for DnB to bring out some clarity in hi-hats and breaks. r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->I currently use the Simgot EW300 and they work super well for gaming. I don't play much FPS but they really make games with nice OSTs shine(latest played Nine Sols). Positional wise seem pretty good for CS2.
r/iems • Looking for the best IEMs for immersive gaming (20–80€ range) ->Except mine getting a little unbalanced in 2 months of extensive use i find them great for long sessions, especially with the gold nozzles, but this is personal preference
r/iems • Is the simgot ew300 for long listening? ->I am kinda in the same boat. Have and used ew300 hbb for free months, and like how they sound. Then I finally decided to try the planar driver with PRX, and with wide bore tips, i kinda like them more than the ew300. I just love the ability of how planar can extract details in the music, even if they sound a tad bit more spicy in the treble. I was also surprised how PRX handles the bass, it's almost DD like, and that helps further more to enjoy them more. I still have and love ew300, but I gravitate more to PRX which is cheaper, and I hate that more expensive IEM is not being used much at all lately...
r/iems • Do I just not get it? ( Mini review of the VX Pro+ and EW300 DSP ->I have ew300 and prx with eq preset, and so far I like PRX a bit more, love how planar can extract details in sound, and probably I like the look and shape of PRX a bit more.
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->You made me appreciate PRX even more, now I am debating if I should sell my EW300 🤣
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->I am in the same boat. Have been using hybrid iems only, for for almost a year now (KZ ZS10 PRO X, ZS10 PRO 2 and now EW300 HBB). Since I really like the shape and fit of KZ items, I am on the edge of pulling the trigger for the PRX, because I would like to try the planar set. Seeing that it's getting good reviews I don't know if I should pull the trigger on them...
r/iems • Suggestions for first planar magnetic driver iem ->To me it's not helping that I already have Fiio KA11 or Fiio JA11 to power them, tripowin zonie cable on ZS10 PRO 2, which I can use on PRX, and a set of few different tips for rolling, so I only need the beef up for the iem... But if I end up liking them more then EW300, then more expensive IEM will end up sitting in the drawer, and I hate leaving my gear unused...
r/iems • Suggestions for first planar magnetic driver iem ->I just purchased the simgot ew300 DSP, which of your pads do you recommend?
r/iems • What's an IEM related purchase you do not regret splurging for? ->The Simgot EW300 is well-suited for gaming.
r/iems • Help me select IEM for Valorant ->Yes my friend got it recently. It has interchangeable nozzles you can try to switch the sound signature also. Simgot EW300.
r/iems • Help me select IEM for Valorant ->Go for Simgot EW300 good for gaming
r/iems • New to IEMs and wanted to know if this is a good first setup ->The EW300 are *hands-down* my go-to recommendation for anyone getting into IEMs. They excel at their price point, they're very comfortable, they work well with small ears (they're my fiancée's daily drivers now for that exact reason), they're really well tuned. Just a really easy set to suggest.
r/iems • Suggest me a good bass-heavy IEM around $100 ->Easy all-arounder at that price point would be the Punch Audio Martilo, which tends to go on sale for $290 USD. *That said,* I don't know that I'd suggest you buying something that expensive for your first IEM. You hit diminishing returns shockingly early on in the price brackets, and you can get something solid for much cheaper if you're so inclined. The Simgot EW300 is my standard suggestion there, and it usually goes for around $65 USD.
r/iems • Looking for best all arounder IEMs for gaming/music under or around $300 ->Minor correction: the Martilo, not the Punch. "Punch Audio" is the company, Martilo is the model. Worth noting because there's *another* IEM out there (the Kiwi Ears Punch) that could easily get mixed up. I honestly think you'll be all set with the EW300, *but* if you want to splurge, you really can't go wrong with the Martilo. Like you said, you can always return them! Comparing over-ears to in-ears, you tend to get a much higher price-to-performance ratio with IEMs just because of how much less *stuff* there is to them. You've got the little shell, the drivers, the cable, and the eartips. That's it. Compared to all the other components that go into something larger like over-ears, that means production costs are *much* lower. It also means (since it's easier to get into) the IEM space has been having a *ton* of "competition breeds innovation" going on over the past few years, so they've advanced at a pretty rapid pace.
r/iems • Looking for best all arounder IEMs for gaming/music under or around $300 ->No problem! In terms of differences between the EW300 models: * EW300: This is the normal one, and my usual recommendation * EW300 x HBB: This is the same tuning but with a different coloring and a $10 price hike. Not worth, IMO. * EW300 DSP: The cable here terminates in a USB-C rather than a 3.5mm. The tuning is also a bit different, *but* that's due to a bit of EQ on the cable. If you buy a 3.5mm cable (aftermarket cables for IEMs are very inexpensive) to plug these into instead, you'll have the same exact sound as you do with the base model EW300. ETA: If you're using IEMs on your PC, it's very worth noting that it's generally not advised to plug directly into your PC's 3.5mm jack. That's because motherboard audio tends to suck, even on high-end motherboards. Fortunately, this is a cheap and easy fix - a little dongle DAC like the Apple Dongle or a JCALLY JM6 Pro will be *more* than enough to drive the vast, vast majority of IEMs on the market, and won't set you back much at all.
r/iems • Looking for best all arounder IEMs for gaming/music under or around $300 ->I'd go so far as to say that comfort is one of the *biggest* selling points of the EW300. They're absurdly comfortable. I mean, they also sound great, and that's obviously important. But they're *very* comfy.
r/iems • Is the simgot ew300 for long listening? ->Personally I really enjoyed both the Zero Blue 2 and the Simgot EW300s at that price point for gaming. My issue with the ZB2 was more a comfort problem than an audio quality one - the nozzles were too deep and too wide for my preferences. I could definitely *use them,* but not particularly comfortably, especially for extended use. If you can go up in budget some, I've heard consistently good things about the Simgot EM6L specifically on the gaming front, and those clock in at around $120 USD.
r/iems • Truthear zero 2 problems and recommendations ->Simgot EW300, since it have 2 tuning, one for gaming, one for musics
r/iems • Iem recommendations under 100 USD for gaming and music ->I borrowed my friends red and unfortunately my ears hurt because of the nozzle. But when my ew300 came it felt like it's just air. And comparing a side by side. the ew300 is smaller than the red and maybe comfortable with your full face helmet?
r/iems • In search of the perfect bass head IEM - HBB edition ->if the simgot ew300 is within budget where you are, that's my suggestion
r/iems • Help with picking IEMs for gaming (100$-120$) ->I bought EW300 DSP and it's absolutely fantastic. I always had gaming headsets before but I love these. I could be happier and it takes almost no room on the desk when stored away. Confortable for long sessions, sound is great, noise cancelling is surprisingly great ( no ANC afaik but stil amazing ).
r/ArcRaiders • IEM recommendations ->If you want something really budget (under 3k) then the ~~Chu 2 DSP~~ Tanchjim Bunny DSP would be a recc. It's basically a less clean implementation of what the 7k Simgot (below) is. If your budget is around ₹5k I'd still recommend the Truthear Zero Red, you can skip it if u have smaller ears. (There is a blue version too which is bit more mid-bassy, if u are into edm/hip hop ull like it) If u can push your budget ₹7k the Simgot EW300 DSP (yes the DSP is a considerable upgrade to the Zero Red above) [There is a lot of difference between these sets, it will be discernable if u try a lot of them, imo the ₹12k range is the most bang for buck, aka Simgot Supermix 4 / CCA Hydro; after that the VFM tanks]
r/GadgetsIndia • Yo guys so I have around 5K budget I can go more if it's 1-2k if it's really worth it , Recommend me Best Wired earphones-iems if there not much of a difference between 2-3k and 5-6k earphones then recommend be a best value for money long lasting good audio quality with mid&treble sometimes Netflix✌ ->The EW300 silver nozzle is the best experience I have had overall. Yes, they are very comfortable. https://preview.redd.it/xxct4ap2mptf1.png?width=2648&format=png&auto=webp&s=370d2ac58a53e82f80836881ffc400b7dbdb07c1
r/iems • Is the simgot ew300 for long listening? ->Yes, but wait for 11.11 if you're not US based, or Black Friday if you are. It's a great choice, even at the current price really. $68.79 on that one web site.. that starts with an "A". I got mine for $50.
r/iems • Are the Simgot EW300 DSP a good option? ->Yes - they’re a fantastic IEM. I own them
r/iems • Suggest me a good bass-heavy IEM around $100 ->I absolutely LOVE the Simgot EW300 - excellent fast and impactful bass (never sluggish) and amazing detail for the price. I use the silver nozzle with two of the supplied foam filters inserted into each side just to take the edge off the treble. They sound amaaaaaaazing once this is done ✅
r/iems • What does more expensive IEMs bring to the table in terms of audio quality? ->With mine, I do use the silver nozzles but temper the treble slightly with a couple of the tuning foam inserts. When done, they are great for longer listening sessions! ✅
r/iems • Is the simgot ew300 for long listening? ->Yep this is me. Love my EW300
r/iems • A beginner’s review Apple Airpod Pro 2 vs Linsoul EW300 ->I would recommend you the Simgot EW300 over both of these options for gaming. Fantastic V shaped sound signature, with excellent imaging for gaming scenarios. You can find the standard version (there are 3 diff versions but the standard are great) for 70 pounds on AliExpress. You’ll often pay more when purchasing via Amazon.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa or Kefine Klean? ->The EW300 is such a great set of IEMs. I own both and highly recommend the EW300. Fantastic detail retrieval for the price and for me, the silver tuning nozzles stuffed with 2 foam tuning filters on each side makes them suuuuch a nice set to listen to! If you like a V shaped IEM, I think you’ll love the EW300. There’s a crispness and sparkle to the treble which will suit your metal 🤘 perfectly.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->If you’re talking USD I think you’ll enjoy the EW300. They’re my daily driver at present. Another great option is the Truthear Pure which I also own, and whilst they’re great for vocalists, they don’t have the sparkle and bass response that I love with the EW300.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->Agreed. I settled on the silver tuning nozzle for my EW300s with two of the supplied foam filters inserted to slightly take that edge of the super sparkly treble. I love how they sound when set up like this!!
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->I have the standard EW300 and love it, but was wondering what the Punch would be like and was very tempted. Thanks for saving me a lot of money!
r/iems • In search of the perfect bass head IEM - HBB edition ->I own both, and like both, but I'd recommend the EW300 as they are more all rounders and have 2 tuning options with the changeable nozzles. The Hexa is great, but lacks bass and is a brighter leaning IEM. Therefore I only use it for certain genres. The EW300 on the other hand is very versatile and works with pretty much every genre of music.
r/iems • Truthear hexa or simgot ew300 ->No problem. I'm happy to help! Also, not to confuse you further, but you can also consider ZS10 Pro 2 from KZ solely for gaming. I've seen a lot of Youtubers who claimed to be trying out IEMs for the first time based on recommendations, giving it high praise. As for music, many didn't like it because of KZ's classic boosted treble. My advice would be if you don't want to be bothered by EQing (which I do recommend) is that you can buy different sets with different tunings for different purposes. Or just buy one good expensive set with great technical performance like the Simgot EW300, then create different EQ profiles for different use cases.
r/iems • Which IEM is best for me? (New to IEM) ->Sounds like you enjoy a detailed yet smooth experience... I would watch this video by Jay, I trust his ears very much. https://youtu.be/XclO362Ll_U?si=_ZiYp5rR-UoYzABQ I think you would enjoy Aful Explorer $95, Ziigaat Odyssey $230 or Simgot EW300 $70. They are very smooth but quite airy and with a good healthy bass foundation. It's very unlikely they should tire your ears too. The first two are actually tuned to be listened to at high volume. The Odyssey is definitely the best out of those three, which makes sense given the price.
r/iems • How much do I need to spend so my iem doesn't sound cheap? ->Analogue 3.5mm version is more dynamic and more exciting, while the DSP version is smoother and cleaner. If you choose DSP version, you'll be locked with that level of performance. That can be fine though, if you are looking to get the most for your money and don't plan on upgrading your source.
r/iems • How much do I need to spend so my iem doesn't sound cheap? ->Yes, the HBB version is not recommended by those who have compared them.
r/iems • How much do I need to spend so my iem doesn't sound cheap? ->I chose the ew300 dsp because of the integrated microphone and the type-c cable and codm game that was quite comfortable, take a look at them, maybe they will interest you.
r/iems • IEM for Call of Duty Mobile - Battle Royale ->For what you are looking to power you will not notice a difference. However something to realize with some of these (KZ in particular) is the length of the pins. Most IEMs are .78mm but the KZ are .75mm. That little bit of difference, I have read, can cause issue with some. I just got the Fiio UTWS5 2025 for Xmas and love them. My only gripe is that the volume control doesn’t actually control the volume on your listening device (for me my iPhone) instead it controls the volume of the IEMs through the Fiio app. Outside that, they sound incredible with my Simgot EW300 x HBBs.
r/iems • Thinking of getting Bluetooth adapters ->I have the Hydro and the EW300. Have not heard the PRX. The first 2 are fairly similar with the Hydro having a bigger bass response, and the EW300 having a better balance and more midrange. So I definitely use them for different stuff. I will say, I love the EW300.
r/iems • CCA hydro vs KZ PRX vs Simgot EW300 ->Funnily enough I thought I felt that way. I've had the KZ ZS10 Pro X, Simgot ew200 and ew300 and sold them all because I thought the treble was too much for me. But I've just bought the NiceHCK E2BS Pro (chifi naming makes me want to kill myself) flathead earbuds and I'd say they're even brighter, but I love them. I feel like a lot of people possibly just don't like that brightness in an IEM. I feel like it's uncomfortable having that much 'noise' trapped in your ear. But open-back earbuds fix that with being so well, open
r/iems • Which IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆 ->Got my first iems a month ago. They were the tanchjim bunny's. Got my new simgot ew300s in 2 days ago. I plan to use the bunny's when I'm working to avoid my ew300s from breaking. Atleast till I get another new pair iems whenever that is 🤣
r/iems • What was your first IEM, and do you still use it? ->Very easy to resist. Like c'mon. Just go with an actually viable choice..if you want a heavy hitter multi driver buy the Aful Performer P5+2 for 250. Sub 50 dollars? Just buy one of the many IEMs that have proved themselves time and time again, IE: Moondrop Chu 2, Tangzu Wa'ner, 7hz Zero, Truthear zero, Truthear Gate, etc. If you want a good tribrid for still pretty cheap get the Simgot EW300. (80 bucks) If you want a good 1DD+3BA hybrid for pretty cheap, get the Truthear Hexa or Truthear Pure. (80 bucks) More drivers doesn't mean better, and in lower price brackets it more often than not means that they have sacrificed actual performance for having "better specs" and more flashy marketing.
r/iems • How can you resist 1DD 8BA for $30? ->Heyo OP sorry for wall of text, I dont want create new post because its standard "gaming question" TLDR at bottom also wanna say thanks for all of your guide posts, some of your warn giving me deeper search into local facebook community and saw peoples having problem with those :( Is it bad if I blind buy based on reviews, price (discount) and tier list from FRS aslong the nozzle not too big but its newly released so not many known QC problem? I'm from SEA region, the prices a bit higher than MSRP due tax unless its older item or the store (Pre)Order a lot when discount on Linsoul or Ali and my budget is max $100 usd, first I was searching for IEM under $20 but after reading more the budget increased due people recommendations. I was using hyperx cloud kingston then HP version, due earpad peeling off I'm searching alternative and saw IEMs. I'm going to used it for gaming (80%) genre fps and action rpg like upcoming PoE2, music (10%) genre pop and OST then watching anime (10%) weekly genre shonen or seinen; based on what I read so far my choice are : 1. Kefine Delci AE ($85 discount today, normally $94 but only 3 stock left) 2. Simgot EW300 DSP ($73, one of overhyped brand in my country) 3. Kefine Klean ($53) 4. 7hz Sonus ($40) I was thinking interchangeable nozzle seems good for me because it has 2 signature profile. TLDR : Budget max $100 for gaming, should I buy the most expensive one from my list? Or wait another cheaper batch new IEM like 7hz G1? Thanks for reading.
r/iems • !THE SUB $100 IEM MEGA PICK LIST! ->Personally, it really depends on your preference. But IEMs are definitely better vs many earbuds. Terms of how good the IEM you selected there, the Simgot EW300. It is a great IEM as a beginner, especially on its instrument separation and technicalities vs its price, accessories and unboxing are also great overall. In the end it depends on your preferred tuning preference, sound experience, and comfort. [***Beginner's Guide through the world of IEMs***](https://www.reddit.com/user/NinjaSiren/comments/1jil8re/beginners_intro_guide_to_iems/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->EW300, SuperMix4, or the newer EG280. also great much more cheaper IEMs for gaming. All under Simgot brand.
r/iems • Gaming IEMS - updating my current setup ->EW300 all the way, just be careful if you live in a humid environment, it can easily clog and you'll hear one or both iem volume momentarily low i was using them as my outside iems, it was so frustrating for me i simply stopped using them, but again depends on your environment
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->EW300s are good for that.
r/iems • The Best IEM Builds at Each Price (2025 Ultimate Guide) ->recommending the aria 2 and ew300 in the same sentence is kinda wild tbh
r/iems • I’m NOT looking for a good budget IEM. ->they sound wildly different, not comparable at all, the ew300 are way harsher, are a lot more airy and hard raise at 10k while the aria 2 have a hard dip at that range
r/iems • I’m NOT looking for a good budget IEM. ->Tell whoever told you s12 has weird bass that it is actually the most textured low end you can find under 300€, hands down. With EQ you can basically turn this beast into any tuning you want, with great chops to boot. Anyway, my recommendation under 100 would be Moondrop May or Ew300 dsp.
r/iems • [IEM Recommendation] ~$100 Budget | Hard Rock, Jazz, 80s, J-Pop (Old & Modern), Lo-fi ->Yes, sadly even the ew300. Objectively it is well tuned no doubt. I bought the dsp version, tried both with and without dsp, tinkered with nozzles, foams, whatnot. I even tried Kato nozzles. There's this "glare", it's obviously there and annoys me. The fit was also a concern. I have Dumbo ears, they just don't fit well, I found them too heavy and small ( the ea500 was much better in this regard). Despite this, I still recommend the ew300 dsp to whomever is starting the hobby, under 100 euros.
r/iems • Which IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆 ->I mean if you really want to take it competitively, headphones always beat out the IEMs. The simgot supermix 4 are pretty similar to the EW300 with more treble (which is what footsteps have a lot of) and a pretty safe tuning. Not the greatest bass, but maybe some EQ and certain eartips would make up for that. I play a lot of fps games, cs2 and val included and did not enjoy the ew300 but really like the super mix 4. A lot of people also swear by the EM6L for shooters
r/iems • Best IEM for competitive CS2 matches? ->Bought the EW300 on sale. After two weeks of using, here are my experience; First time using it(Silver Nozzle), the signature felt so bad for me.(to express my disappointment, I made a consideration for hours to sell it lmao) Then I change to Gold nozzle+inserted foam, it feels more pleasant. But something's not enough. Btw, EW300 sounds a bit metallic/thinner than Castor Bass, is that normal? After some time, I realized that HiBy W3 II built-in EQ doesn't work well with my Windows laptop.(works fine with my phone, not sure with other phones) Then I installed Equalizer APO on my laptop, it's such a massive game changer. I'm able to juice out some frequencies and suit it to my liking. After EQ'ed, I returned to Silver nozzle to get back some of the reduced treble. Now I'm really happy with my EW300. Anyways, I wonder if it's possible to get a noticeable/significant upgrade from EW300? Something that is more fuller/immersive, having a great bass alongside great clarity/detail retrieval without sibilance, and without drowning the male low growl voice. Also can handle EQ properly, in-case if the signature doesn't work on me(But if the default already met my taste by based on this experience, its okay) Side Note: \-EW300's eartips doesn't work well with my ear, using KZ EDX's instead. \-Included my EQ for upgrade recommendation reference https://preview.redd.it/ujou4wlno0ne1.png?width=1246&format=png&auto=webp&s=100fd5ef0352c64a973690681a039bd9852a3ac4
r/iems • !THE SUB $100 IEM MEGA PICK LIST! ->I’m a bit skeptical of tier lists. For instance here I’d say em6ls and EW300s are underrated. And your mileage will vary greatly if you don’t use a dongle for some of these because motherboard audio can make some sound horrible. Especially planars or even the Zeros. The main thing is the bang for the buck. You can get great IEMs for a low price that will compete with much higher priced headphones. Imaging has more to do with the sound design of the game than anything else.
r/iems • Is it worth it to switch from headphones to IEMs for gaming? ->Simgot ew300 is definitely spacious in sound and very accurate and can give some solid bass rumble for explosions and gunfire also wicked comfy, theres also the letshour s12 old version like the original grey model, the newer sets seem to be a little peaky in the treble, theyd both be a solid option for gaming and daily use like, would/could be end game iems for some people tbh🤷♂️
r/iems • What's the best IEMs for mostly gaming and music under 100$? ->if you just one something good, plug and play, nice sound, ill recomend simgot EW300, i dont think anything around $150 is as simple and as safe, maybe the Binary chopin on a sale.
r/iems • IEM recommendations under 150$ for non audiophile ->if you liked original chu, you have some options like the already mentioned EM6L or the simgot EA500LM, but usually the simgot EW300 is the safest pick around that price range for gaming and overall use.
r/iems • Best IEM Under $100 for FPS Gaming on PS5? (Replacing Moondrop CHU) -># After a few months of my first mega list of options under $50 dollars... \---------- ***Click here for the sub $50 list:*** [https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/WfhfLLl0np](https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/WfhfLLl0np) \---------- ... Finally, after so much corrections and problems, I can post my next list, I’m sorry for coming this late though, I hope people still finds it useful, this time, I came with options ranging from around $110 dollars (counting in discounts) down to $60 for those looking for a little more advanced options, either to make an upgrade to your cheaper IEMs, or to get started in the hobby, in any case, you are welcome. Unlike the first list, this time I won't detail so many things before listing options, if you want to know about where to possibly buy IEMs safely, which reviewers to check on YouTube for second opinions, and even understand a bit more of the terminologies used in the “audiophile lingo”, please check out the Sub $50 list, this one has two parts and explains a lot of this already. \---------- # PLEASE DO TAKE IN MIND: That I’m just a single person doing this compilation of information, this list is based off the general impressions of various trustworthy reviewers on these iems. This is **NOT** a ranking list, this **NOT** my personal best picks, and I do **NOT** own all of the iems on the list. This IS just a list for you to have alternatives to pick of fairly recent, good, safe-ish iems to pick from. There is so much a single person can do, so, **if you see any glaring error** with the description of any iem, or if you think there is any model left out that should be on this list, **please do let me know**, remember that this list only goes up to $110 because it will drop down to under $100 often on discounts, please do not mention iems over $110 or under $60. Here, before I start, I'm just going to make some specific clarifications that people should keep in mind when looking to buy any IEM in this price range. Do consider that **I’m being very superficial here**, this is **not** full audio engineer knowledge being explained in a simplistic way, rather, this is more like **summarized general concepts** to help people grasp basic ideas that they could need to know when entering the hobby. \---------- ***Over-reach Update:*** Per request of various people in the post, I will be adding iems around $120-$130 to consider grabbing if you see it below $100. # Gaming Update: As quite a lot of people have been asking for gaming options, ill make this update marking iems with performance rakings from the "WALLHACK CERTIFIED IEM TIER LIST" of Reviwer Fresh Reviews, who is pretty well known for recomending iems for gaming use, just be aware that this does not reflect my opinion about each IEM nor does it ensure that you will have an excellent video game experience just because its listed. The Fresh Reviews system gives letter grades where “S” is the best grade, going down from S-A to C+, where C+ means that they are the minimum sufficient to be able to play video games with. The way I will mark it would be putting the score besides the name "(with FRS: “Mark obtained”)" (FRS = Fresh Reviews Score), example: Truthear Zero Red (FRS: C+), if you don't see this mark, it means that either Fresh Reviews did not consider it good for gaming, or did not review the product. \---------- # Relevant clarifications: **---** * **“Hybrid IEMs = Better?”** A constant question you see these days is “are more drivers better than one?” and the answer is always: in budget price ranges? absolutely not, especially under $100. What mostly dictates the sound quality and technicality of a headphone is the quality of the driver(s) used, it doesn't matter if an earphone has 20 drivers per side at this price range, if another company is selling you one with only 1 driver, and people say it's good, that's because it usually is, the amount of drivers in lower price ranges means almost nothing, there may be extra benefits of having more drivers, but those benefits are not a “game changer” in this price range, pick based on performance, use case and sound preference, not on driver config…UNLESS you dislike the way that one specific type of driver produces sound.. \--- * **“What’s a Planar?”** IEMs that only use planar drivers are a special thing because usually drivers of this type offer very good and balanced technicalities in general at this price range, you know: separation, detail, resolution, soundstage, and all those terms you have heard. What happens is that most of these drivers also have some disadvantages that pay in return for the techs, among them the most common ones are: * That some people consider that the noise they produce in vocals and treble sounds somewhat “metallic”, which can be annoying or distracting. * \- * The second problem is that usually planar drivers, at least in this price range, do not have the most textured or impactful bass, they may have good bass presence and rumble, but they usually do not get to be as intense and feel as physical as a good dynamic driver can. * \- * And finally, planar drivers usually require a decent amount of amplification from a DAC to perform to the best of their capabilities, if you plan on choosing a full planar IEM, you really, ideally, should be running them with a DAC, unlike other driver types or even hybrid configurations at this price range, a planar IEM can exhibit noticeable changes in sound and performance when not properly amplified, especially reducing their overall technicalities and sounding less clean than they should. IF YOU CAN, hook them to a good dongle DAC with a 4.4mm cable for the best amplification possible. That's why, when I say that a planar will need “good application”, I mean that you'll probably want to use something more than the typical apple dongle recommendation to move a planar earphone, mostly just to make sure you are powering them correctly. \--- * **“Should I get a dongle DAC?”** And the last point, although speaking of amplification again, above $50 you really should start considering getting a dongle DAC for your IEMs, because, while even at this price point, most iems could work pretty fine without it, you could likely end up leaving some performance “on the table” if they are underpowered. It is not obligatory for you to get one, specially if you dont get a planar, but also don’t be surprised if your iems doesn’t give you enough volume or if your new iems doesn’t seem to perform as great as most people say, you don’t need anything too fancy, just try a basic dongle dac in the $15-$40 price range, the normal cheap rec is the Apple dongle (US version), but you can always get something a bit more durable, and then judge your experience based on it. And if it’s possible to you, specially with planars, using a 4.4mm cable (on a compatible DAC) to get the most energy out of your dac will ensure that your iems aren’t under-amplified in most cases, is not a must in any way, shape of form, but you could try it if you can (but please, just dont use 3.5mm to 4.4mm adapters as those could damage some of your equipment if they are made improperly). By the way, the reason why i recommend a 4.4mm is because you can easily get more energy out of your same dac (if it has both conections, of course) using a 4.4mm vs the 3.5mm on the same DAC, you can always, get a very decent 3.5mm DAC too. \---------- # SUB $100 IEM MEGA PICK LIST: (This list now cover iems mostly\* down from $60 up to $100, with some extra options that could be around $120, but that could be picked below $100 if on sale, please take that in mind. The prices listed are just the stock price, often lower on sales). ***Purchase links disclaimer:*** The links included are affiliate links, but make sure to check vendor reviews when you make any AliExpress purchases. The links have no influence on which IEMs are recommended or picked for the list. \----- # BASSY IEMs. The option for people looking for a bassy, rumbly, thumpy or just warm and relaxed experience, if you want good bass, check here. **NOT EVERYTHING HERE IS BASS HEAVY.** \----- * ***($109) 7hz Legato (FRS: C+):*** The bass canon pick under $100, plenty of quality bass for your basshead needs, with just enough of upper half energy on the sound to not be unusable. It’s recommended to be used with things like wide bore eartips for extra clarity. Technicalities are a bit below average since the heavy bass isn’t the best for detail, but still very competitive, the basshead upgrade path from the QKZxHBB. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqJdKzH) \----- * ***($90) Tangzu Fudu (FRS: B-):*** A relaxed, bassy and smooth experience, most people say they are pretty comfortable, but the nozzle is slightly on the large size. It has an overall clean-ish sound, nice and warm-ish well-done vocals, and smooth treble. Average good technicalities despite the extra bass and the smooth presentation. Should Work for gaming, although bass could be a bit too distracting for competitive. Also, the bass is not super powerful, as it is more of a relaxed set, so don’t get it just for the amount of bass it has, but also for the style of sound. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqvuzOT) \----- * ***($75) Kefine Delci/AE (AE FRS: B):*** A pretty good bass leaning iem, some consider it the step up from the BLON BL03, as it manages to have great bass qualities while still presenting nice enough vocals and detailed treble. There is some warmness in vocals, not the cleanest sound from the price range, but it makes for a more relaxed and bassy listening experience, that manages to be engaging when it needs to be, especially with the pretty thumpy and rumbly bass. Vocals are natural enough despite the extra warmness, just not the main focus of the iem. The treble is on the energetic side, but not too intense that it makes it a V-shape. Technicalities are fine for the price range, but the bassy sound just makes it a not so “clear” sounding iem, a better if you are into bassy stuff. If you would like the performance of the Delci for bass, but also would like to be able to use it for gaming, check the Delci AE with the interchangable nozzles for 2 tunings and more versatile usage. Not a common recommendation for gaming, at least not for competitive gaming. But the usual bassy recommendation under $100. Check it out here (Regular): [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mKaEwxD) Check it out here (AE): [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mKT5q5H) \----- * ***($70) TRN White Tiger:*** Funny and energetic, yet not aggressive, bassy V-shaped iem, nice bass quality for the price, with good balance between sub-bass and mid-bass, the bass does have a bit of muddiness (bleed) to it, but doesn’t drown the vocals at all, is tastefully done and vocals are fine enough, the treble is a bit forward, but nothing too intense, nice technicalities for the price, an alternative to the Titan S2 if you feel like lacking bass and too much vocal energy. It comes with 3 different tuning nozzles, so check each one, but most people likes the green or red ones. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mMYoBHt) \----- * ***($99) Letshuoer S08 (FRS: B-):*** Bassy focused approach to a planar iem, nice rumbly bass, although not the most physical or hard hitting one since it’s a planar, but it definitely does a better job with the bass than other planars around this price point, it still shares all those great technicalities of planars under $100, but also still requires good amplification, that said, it is slightly less "power hungry" than other planars in the list, so an “apple dongle” type of dongle might be just enough, but if you can get something better, could be the better option. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mL3X5zv) \----- * ***($120) Aful Explorer:*** Warm-bassy, Inmersive IEM. The bass is rumbly, thick, with body, but its not on the intense/super punchy side, sub-bass over mid-bass approach. Vocals are on the clean side, with some Energy, but not pushed as foward as on balanced sets, not that natural in the upper vocals though. The treble is enough, smooth and detailed, but is not that detailed or open feeling, safer relaxed treble over detailed and clear sound. Technicalities overall are good for the elevated price. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mNhhRI3) \----- * ***($126) CCA Hydro:*** V-shaped, clean-cut Harman style bass, energetic IEM. The direct step-up all the way down from the Castor Bass and the CCA Rhapsody. The bass sacrificies a little bit the amount for extra quality: control, tactile thumpy punch and clean deep rumble, still giving good body to deep male vocals with minimal "bload", you can always boost it up a bit with the tuning switches though. Vocals mamage to be correct and Somewhat natural and detailed, they pop out enough and dont get as thin as other V-shaped iems. Treble is on the energetic side, maybe could be borderline too intense for some, but it also manages to give nice detail while not being too aggressive with it, be aware if you are sensitive to treble tho, this time, the bass cant be boosted too much with the switches to balance things out, also, the sound of the treble could come as a bit "metallic" for some thanks to the driver config. Technicalities are decent but stock price is a bit too high. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mPV3RvZ) \---------- # BALANCED/NEUTRAL IEMs. Here you will find anything with just enough of both bass and treble for your music needs, some might lean a bit into the bass, others might have some extra treble, but the lean is not big enough to call it bassy or bright. **NOT VERYTHING IN HERE IS “NEUTRAL"**. \----- * ***($80)*** [***Dunu Titan S2***](https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/comments/1h8nzjb/the_rekindled_spark_dunu_titan_s2_review/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) ***(FRS: C+):*** A mild V-Shaped balanced iem with an edge on vocals, specially female vocals, pretty engaging energy, it uses some extra bass and treble to balance things out compared to the original Titan. The bass is pretty rich and clean, but it also loses a bit of body on male vocals vs the OG Titan, still warm, just not the same focus, it has good punch to it and decent rumble, with focus on the mid-bass but not too boosted over sub-bass, and has decent texture, overall great bass quality. The vocals, because of the V-shaped style, do sound slightly less natural than on the OG, but they aren’t as recessed as other V-shape sets. The treble quality is good but could come as a bit too forward in some cases, so it can be a bit fatiguing for some, especially for people sensitive to treble. Technical performance is great overall, above average, good detail retrieval, some say that it could almost compete with planars. but the soundstage is not as big as other options, in resolution is competing with benchmark iems like hexa. Should work for gaming. It also should work well for Rock music genres, even with busy tracks. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOdiyY7) \----- * ***($70-$80) Simgot EW300 (Comes with Type-C/DSP option) (FRS: C+):*** A balanced yet energetic iem that breaks with the “Simgot has peaky treble” tradition. Nice allrounder sound, punchy bass, good decently natural vocals, enough treble presence, and good technicalities for the price. A warning is that the iem could feel a bit heavy resting on the ears for some. Should work for gaming. This one comes in 3 versions: Normal, HBB and DSP - They are all almost the same, just pick based on connection necessities, price and looks (sound is just barely different that it could be just unit variance as well – in the words of some reviewers). Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mskLcPh) \----- * ***($90) Simgot EA500LM (FRS: C+):*** Balanced, Neutral leaning, yet V-shaped sound, still the treble could be a bit too much for some, but it’s very well controlled compared to other options from Simgot. Bass has good texture and quality, and it’s more boosted than in the EA500 so it balances the sound more, it is not too boosted still, so with presence but not the main focus. Vocals are good, correct and natural, but also forward and energetic. The treble has also presence, but not too much; in reference to vocals and bass, is not as extra boosted for the V-shaped kind of sound. Some people consider it detailed and smooth, but others still can find them a bit too intense, so, again, a warning for treble sensitive people. All in all, works like a more energetic Titan S2, with also great technical performance, slightly above average, it favors a nice and natural kind of performance rather than ultra-wide soundstage and very obvious detail retrieval, still resolution is pretty good for the price, fighting above its price range with the Hexa and the S2. It comes with interchangeable nozzles, try them all, but most people seem to like the gold and red nozzles better. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqBqcnt) \----- * ***($90) Moondrop Aria 2:*** A pretty balanced, natural, good performing IEM that remembers a bit the sound of the Tangzu Waner, just overall cleaner, and with very upgraded technicalities according to its price range, very safe sound with just enough of everything in punchy bass, natural vocals and detailed treble, plus an average overall technical performance for the price. Should work for gaming. If you don’t know what to pick, this is your best starting point. Several people, however, do not like that the build quality is not that excellent, especially the paint scratches easily and moondrop as a brand sometimes does not have the best quality control. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOIoiwJ) \----- * ***($80) Truthear Hexa:*** A balanced, neutral leaning iem with a sub-bass boost. Is a set that focuses ln detail and performance, a somewhat clinical sound that might not be too engaging for some, but excellent technicalities for the price. Bass is decent and detailed, but the small amount of mid-bass could be too little for a fair amount of people. The vocals are nice and natural, but also not that energetic, and the treble is mostly detailed and controlled, with maybe some slightly too boosted areas in the lower treble, so, because of the small amount of warmness in the bass, some people can find the Hexa a bit bright sounding (sound leaning into the treble), with some female vocal energy being also pushed forward, if you are sensitive to treble is not the safest pick. Be aware that the nozzle is quite large, so comfort might not be that great for some, Woks pretty well for gaming, as this is usually the technical benchmark to beat under $100. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mt0zJjz) \----- * ***($80) Tangzu XuanNV (FRS: B-):*** A vocal forward, slightly warm sounding iem, good bass dynamics but not the main focus, a bit extra boosted on the upper mids (female vocals lean), but most people consider them smooth and not fatiguing. Treble is there and has enough detail but is nothing too impressive. Just a very nice, pretty safe sound. Average technicalities for the price. Be aware that they need some good amplification to work the best. Nozzle leans to the large side but doesn’t seem to have much fit problems for people. It’s a pretty safe pick if you don’t know what to pick, but you know you like vocals. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_m0DwmLZ) \----- * ***($110) Kefine Klanar:*** Pretty detailed balanced (borderline U-shaped) iem that leans a bit to the bass, so plenty Energy on bass and treble too but nothing too much, although vocals could feel slightly on the background for some people, it has just enough energy there, so vocals don’t thin out. It’s a planar so great technicalities, plenty detail and clean bass, but will need some extra energy to perform to the best of its capabilities, and bass probably is not going to be the punchiest, since it’s a planar iem; I should also mention that the treble could be borderline too energetic for very sensitive people. This one is considered a cheaper Letshuoer Z12/S12 pro. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mMIgDej) \----- * ***($100) NiceHCK F1 Pro:*** Pretty similar to the Klanar, kinda balanced, but this planar leans some more into the vocals and treble over bass, with a good but controlled amount of bass, plus some crisp highs, not recommended for people sensitive to treble. It might be the closest one to the sound of the Letshuoer S12 tuning, with even slightly less bass. Being a planar, will have great overall technical performance, clean sound, and should work for gaming. Will need good amplification as most planars do. And the bass on planar, like this one, will not be the strongest or physical one. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mP9caUx) \----- * ***($70) Artti T10:*** A very affordable balanced planar, it has a decent boost on the sub-bass for some rumble, clean mid-range and nuanced enough treble that is sparkly but can be a bit too intense for some people (similar to simgot models). It’s supposed to have the same driver tech as more expensive iems like the Letshuoer S12, so, if you don’t mind the basic build quality, it’s a very good, technically competent, cheap alternative, although it might just had some more Sub-bass and less treble than the S12. It does also need some good amplification as with the other planars, ideally a 4.4mm power output. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOJiup9) \----- * ***($110) Simgot EM6L (FRS: B/B-):*** V-shaped Neutral, somewhat bright leaning iem. Bass is there, it warms the sound, but for the price is nothing impressive, not as clean as other options and it could feel like somewhat soft or not that texturized/punchy, under $100 other picks have some better quality, it’s just decent enough. The vocals are forward, clear but not as clean, not that natural, even a bit on the warm side of sound, so with body, especially male vocals, but that can play against female vocals. The treble is forward in the sound, with maybe a bit too much energy, but that manages to not be super aggressive, some consider it pretty smooth actually, so you will hear it, but you might not “feel” it as much, it do adds a lot of detail and helps with the openness of the sound. Technical performance is where this iem is notorious, while the soundstage is not the best, the tuning paired with the overall good-for-the-price technicalities, helps a lot for uses like gaming, usually considered the default best budget gaming pick around this price range. For music is just not going to be the most technical or detailed listening, just be aware that people very sensitive to treble could still find it a bit too much. **Some people have had the nozzle or filters of the iem falling off, usually fixed by glueing them back on, but you should know this info.** Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqM2p3z) \----- * ***($65) Moondrop May (Comes with Type-C/DSP only):*** A soft V-shaped iem, with good technicalities for the price. The whole point of them is to be used with the DSP cable and the Moondrop app to personalize the tuning with sound pre-sets or a bit of EQ. Also works fine with a 3.5mm Jack with the stock soft V-shape sound, but you will have to provide the cable. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mP5XKDz) \----- * ***($80)*** [***Dunu Titan S***](https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/s/wxjSiXSolr)***:*** Neutral, vocal focused iem so it could feel a bit shouty for very sensitive people. Bass is decent in quality, but the quantity is around what most balanced neutral iems have, maybe even a bit extra boosted on top, and it focuses on mid-bass over sub-bass. The treble is quite well controlled and not that pushed foward, its smooth and precise but could lack some sparkle for some, vocals are very nice, very clean and natural, being the main focus as said earlier. Resolution and overall technicalities are good, resolution is the strongest part since it was above average when first launched, but somewhat average nowadays, the rest of the techs are just fine for the price, the S2 does present an overall decent technical upgrade over the original Titan. As a warning, the nozzle fits a bit deeper than other iems, so do expect the extra reach inside your ear. Should work for gaming, but I wouldn’t recommend it because of mid-range focus, ir could be a good vocal upgrade from Waner. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mM6hN4B) \----- * ***($89) Kiwi Ears Canta:*** Energetic and balanced Vocal focused iem with some bright leaning to it. The bass is a kind of a V-shape approach, where the focus is more on a nice bass punch rather than sub-bass rumble, however, because of the treble, the nice bass qualities would not be as apparent, it is not the focus of the sound but is there and does a very good job. The vocals are very clear, detailed, clean, but also very forward, it could even get a bit sibilant or shouty for some tracks, so this is an energetic kind of tuning, more of a “W” shape than a “V”. The treble has presence, clarity and detail, but it can get unnatural thanks to the extra emphasis, although is not that aggressive. The tuning does make for a wide soundstage, but overall technical performance is just slightly above average, with an edge on separation and detail, at the cost of the intense sound. The EW300 is a more relaxed, balanced version of this one. Despite the technical performance though, doesn’t seem like the best pick for gaming. Check it out here: [Linsoul.](https://www.linsoul.com/products/kiwi-ears-canta?srsltid=AfmBOor8SGQG1NeTFgA-LY3I0SSdC_HvyTyZtY4bdj_CMLzKrCOqHwyc) \----- * ***($77) Sivga Que:*** Balanced U-shape-Ish IEM that has an interesting balance between nice bass and crips treble. Bass is impactful, has a decent amount of rumble but it’s a clear mid-bass over sub-bass kind of sound, gets the job done but is not the most texturized or detailed bass. The vocals are a bit warm, mostly the male ones, so it has nice body to it, while managing some cleanness with the bass, is not the most natural, but is also not as thin, muddy or as unnatural as other similar sets can get, the area of female vocals is pretty forward, most people didn’t find it shouty, but it has the potential to be, at least for very sensitive people. The treble has presence, it brings good detail to the sound, but it manages to not be too intense or sibilant, just energetic enough. Technicalities are pretty good for the price, with some extra detail on top thanks to the mentioned treble style. It should be able to manage rock music even with busy tracks. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mtfpmTh) \----- * ***($70) Tanchjim 4U:*** A balanced/Neutral iem with a switch system that lets you go from a warm iem, a sound style that reminds of the (R.I.P.) Truthear Hola, to a neutral balanced set, to a neutral bright-ish set, to a full neutral, vocal focused, set. The overall sound and technical performance is fine, but it is nothing impressive for the price, maybe even a bit outdated thanks to recent releases around the same price, safe in the treble too, not too intense. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mNYKbZ1) \----- * ***($99) Ziigaat Cinno:*** Slightly warm, very correct sounding iem that is great for people both sensitive to treble and shoutiness, a bit of a "flat-liner" in the sound but maintains some musicality to it, with a natural enough sound. Technicalities are fine for the price, nothing too impressive. Should work pretty good for more detailed music genres like classical music. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mNDingn) \----- * ***($140) Aful MagicOne:*** Balanced-warm leaning IEM. Technicalities are somewhat below average for the price\* but it works well in this (sub $100) price range. Bass is not the most Detail, punchy or rumbly, is overall a bit too smooth, but also pretty relaxed. The vocals are nice and natural-ish, but there is warmness from the bass, not the cleanest typw of sound, but it plays into the relaxed balanced sound. Trebel is smooth but detailed, not underboosted, foward enough to balance things out. An interesting, relaxed pick if you dont want going for bassy stuff like the Fudu. It doesnt seem to work well for gaming. Bass has very good replay, but its not the most Detailed, punchy or rumbly, it works more as a complementary approach to the tuning, the focus is on mid-bass over sub-bass, and its not too boosted, sub bass is also fairly reduced. The mids are natural, clear, clean but with body, transparent-like, excellent timbre, nothing shouty. Treble is clear, foward thanks to the reduced bass, detailed but very well controlled, pretty smooth. Overall technicalities are just fine for the price, it has great detail retrieval although is not too obvious about it, Soundstage is just fine and instrument separation is not the best out here, but all in all is fairly competent. A clean, neutral and natural sound, with a lean into the vocals and treble. Good but controlled bass, with decent quality in the hit and a boosted sub-bass rumble. Treble is nice and detailed, but not that bright, not that boosted. The biggest downside is the hybrid driver configuration which some people say is not totally cohesive, like there is a small separation between bass and the rest of the sound, but not a deal breaker for most people. Just watch out that for some it could some a bit Shouty on the vocals. Considering the cheaper price on the list, the overall technicalities are above average for the price, or on average with some more expensive iems in this list. This one is considered kind of a “Mini-Hexa”. Nozzle leans to the larger side. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOUBJJ5) \----- * ***($80) Simgot EA500:*** A bright V-shape-ish iem that also has some warmness to the vocals, so, not the most neutral because it has some sound coloration. Pretty good bass quality, over quantity, has good but somewhat forward vocals, specially energetic female vocals, the treble is quite forward but can get fatiguing or even harsh for some. Technicalities are just decent for the price. This iem is for people that like bright sound without overlooking the bass, a possible upgrade path from the Ziigaat Nuo. Not recommended for people with sensitivity to Shoutiness and harsh treble. It comes with 2 tuning nozzles that don’t show much difference but try both just to make sure. r/iems • !THE SUB $100 IEM MEGA PICK LIST! ->Well, the thing thing that most people care a lot for Is usually the tuning because thats what more or less will be the most relevant part if it for how you enjoy it. And as for your budget, likely something like the simgot EW300 would be a great starting point for you, and thats what i would recomend. it has 3 different versions but the only differences are color and the "DSP" version comes with a type-c conection cable, while the other 2 are 3.5 audio jack (the normal audio conection that a lot of phones dont have nowadays). A lot of people would recomend the DSP versión because is like having a dongle DAC Which will ensure the best experience out of your devices, but you could check about DACs and get a dongle dac on your own, specially if you dont have a 3.5mm Jack on your phone.
r/iems • Intro to IEMs and Looking for Recommendations! ->Definitely Check Truthear Pure, also simgot EW300, if you do want something more Bassy Letshouer S08 (i think in this case is better over the Explorer because it has the same level of relaxed warm sound but with more fordward mid range and it would feel less "muddy" because of the planar driver which naturally sounds quite clean). Also, not sure if you only want fuller vocals or also a bassy sound, but there is the Dunu Kima 2 which is a vocal fordward iem with fairly full vocals, decently warm, but is quite Neutral leaning, meaning bass is not particularly boosted to achieve the warmness as with the other sets mentioned above.
r/iems • Best iems for warm neutral? ->Yeah, most of these iems mentioned shouldnt be muddy in general, but also depends on how much bass you want, i def think Explorer is not the best options here tho. EW300 is a quite safe bet.
r/iems • Best iems for warm neutral? ->What most people are used to call balance are soft V-shape iems without a significant lean into either bass or treble, in that case, definitely check the Kefine Klean, being one of the better reviwed sets under $50, the only major issue to mention with them is that they struggle with humidity a bit. alternative, on a sale specially, you can go for Simgot EW300 which would be like the step-up from Klean, minus the common humidity struggle. If you want something more "audiphile balanced/neutral" kind of iem, then XuanNV on a sale or, even if way cheaper, Tanchjim Bunny/Tanzu Waner 2.
r/iems • Best under $60 Balanced IEM? [No custom tuning] ->while EW300 is pretty tamed vs all other simgot, i agree, is fine but not the best, S08 probably would get the job done better in terms of something to use for long listening sessions.
r/iems • Is the simgot ew300 for long listening? ->Over the Klean, yes, vs T10, really depends on what sound profile you like, but EW300 is quite safer overall in sound and fit vs T10.
r/iems • Budget Jewel: Tripowin Vivace Review ->i do think the cable on the EW300 is not all that special, but you could consider change it after trying it around, is usually safer that way.
r/iems • Budget Jewel: Tripowin Vivace Review ->In my personal experiencia, the one i would pick for everyday use as a safe comfortable pick would be Puls Unicrom. Is a crowd pleaser, balanced, slightly bassy, V-shape but vocals are decent enough, very comfortable and nice quality accessories, including a compact but usable and secure carrying case, and good looking sturdy resin shell, humidity should not be a problem either. Now, vocals might not be the most present, but the other iems i know with nice vocals arent as balanced OR as convenient. Titan S2 from dunu is basically near the same in terms of comfort durability and accesories, it has a metal shell too, but vocals might be too energetic for you, is quite intense in that regard, good, very good, Wouldnt recomend it if "chillin" with them is a must. There is also Kima 2, is very vocal focused but more smooth and tammed, same nice accessories, tho is $120 msrp so gotta hunt it on a sale for $100, S2 you easily find it for $65 or less (absolute value). Oh, though, neither really lean into bass as much as they lean into vocals, even a bit bright depending on how sensitive you are. Alternatively, Kefine Delci is bassy leaning too, but well balanced, comfortable, accessories arent as well regarded But work, tho again, vocals a bit on the back and also a metal shell (those are quite common at $80 price range). Maybe Simgot EW300 is the most balanced, is quite nice overall and well liked but accessories are really not an strong point, vocals would certainly be quite present. If you wanna keep it budget, ill say you probably would be fine with something like Salnotes Zero 2 instead of a $50 iem, most of them have one possible major downside from comfort to durability, and most arent really bass leaning either (no idea why, but it is what it is). If you really want balanced and vocals consider Tangzu XuanNV or Juzear Defiant but i honestly dont know how well comfort works for them Which i think is a major deciding factor if you plan to daily drive them.
r/iems • What IEM would you recommend for everyday use? ->If you liked Waner 2, consider Simgot EW300, is well liked for gaming and have a somewhat similar sounds style, tho of course it also performs better, if you want to try different stuff, the Delci AE might be more bassy, but also might work better for rock thanks to the extra bass. If you find it at around your price, Letshouer S08 is a nice, bassy balanced option, i mention it because, rock usually like faster agile bass, but also with a decent punch, but cymbals or vocals might get lost in the sound or be too intense, S08 is pretty safe on that regard without losing detail, so worth considering. Tho, if you are going to conect iems to a PC, please get a DAC, because the PC ports could affect sound (like boost bass up a lot) thanks to impedance. As for cables, poorly made, or purposedly made altered cables, can affect the sound, nowadays is not really common, as long as the cable is not super horrible, which most arent, you will be fine, rather spend the money on a dongle DAC for your PC for now, ir if you feel the cable is too uncomfortable when using it.
r/iems • Iem advice ->simgot ew300(60$-ish) if you like kato, you'll likely will like it too, and its way cheaper with compareable build quality
r/iems • What are some of the most value for money IEM's? ->EW300 DSP for 60 is adequate first item. The DSP (type-c) version gives you variety when swapping out the cable for 3.5mm one + it comes with Nozzle tuning options
r/iems • Tripowin Vivace or QKZ x HBB? ->I'm not helping with this comment. With the disclaimer out of the way, I have both SM4 and EW300 DSP. For a while the EW300 was my go to for anything with a USB-C port, they're comfy enough and I have no complaints about the sound quality, plus they're dirt cheap. Right now they're with my fiancé and I think she won't give them back. SM4 is in my pocket/backpack basically all the time, I take it out several times per day while in a taxi or a supermarket so I don't have to listen the the fucking Christmas/Chinese New Year music. It's accompanied by KA13 because it neatly fits in the case that comes with the IEM. I find them VERY comfortable. If you can demo both sets somewhere and see what works for you, that's probably the best way to decide. Or just use Amazon, if you live somewhere with consumer rights, and return the one you don't like.
r/iems • EW300 or Supermix 4 ->Something I've learnt the hardway. The simgot EW300 filters, the silver mesh onto of each nozzle, they're really sensitive to moisture, and the glue can melt. I've owned mine for about a month now and one of the meshes on the gold nozzle has already clogged up. Seems to be an issue other owners are also having. Just remember to air them out every so often so it doesn't getting blocked up from moisture or heat to melt the glue.
r/iems • A beginner’s review Apple Airpod Pro 2 vs Linsoul EW300 ->I recently picked up the SIMGOT EW300 and they're really good. They sound great, come with a ton of accessories and are in the smaller end of the spectrum so they should fit you well. If you are in the US buy through Amazon as their return policy is solid. That way you can test out what you're looking for and if they're not right return them and try something different.
r/iems • No IEM has convinced me so far. Any suggestions? ->Ah... it's my time to shine! Between those two gor for the EW, but hear me out, Arti t10 or QoA Vesper (this one is a little more, around 60, but it's amazing for metalcore)
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->This might be a good steamdeck or gaming laptop companion. I have the ew300 dsp or AR5000 paired with mine mostly, and have other options so I probably won’t be getting this. It’s still cool though, and the game specific profiles could be nice if done right. I’m more of a single player gamer, so I’m fine with what I have.
r/inearfidelity • New gaming IEM from Moondrop: Rays ->Have you tried using the gold nozzles? They're supposed to be bassier and also have a tamer treble, but i've eventually come to prefer it's tune significantly more since it sounds much more natural than the default silver nozzles, which to me sound cold, lifeless, and empty but with a bunch of bass. As a result, while the bass with the gold nozzle is more present, it feels to me like it doesn't overwhelm the other sounds as much and thus is significantly more pleasant to listen to music with. Also other fun side note, i originally had a 7hz zero 2, but to me, it was too bassy and made it harder to hear the higher notes clearly. The EW300 with gold nozzle sounds similar in tuning, but it is a whole lot more resolving and thus doesn't sound as bad! :D
r/iems • EW300 just unbearable, need help! ->I have the same headphones and i used to, (with questionable success), EQ them a bunch too! Sometimes, i still use them as the dark, bassy gaming headphones they are, which they are quite good for! Definitely an enjoyable sound with good separation of layers for both music and gaming I've never used the hexas, but if i remember right, i've read that they basically have no soundstage at all (they sound only like left and right, no forwards or backwards). Your troubles could indeed be specific to those iems. Your ears also simply may not like how the hexas sound! To me, the most natural sound from an iem is a mild V-shape from a decently cool iem (non very budget iems), like what you get from the Simgot EW300, or the Artti T10 Pro's (but the T10 pros are cooler because planar bass and fast bass decay!). They both have impactful and full sounding bass, while maintaining clarity in everything else! Treble is also clean and present while being calm enough to still be natural to my ears. Personally, i like the slight dip in the mids because it (again) just sounds more natural to me than when i EQ them to other neutral iems. It also helps with the effect of separating all the sounds (but i hate more intense V-shapes). For soundstage, they also sound (natural and are) good enough that i will easily choose them over my blackshark v2x for gaming even.
r/iems • I tried an IEM for the first time, and I was disappointed. ->I have the Hydros and the EW300 DSP and imho the Hydro clears it. Its a set that would probably handle any music genre thrown at it and it is my preferred at home for music and gaming on my PC. The EW300 is still good with DSP cable or 4.4 cable also.
r/iems • CCA hydro vs KZ PRX vs Simgot EW300 ->My pool from which to draw planar (IEM) experiences is somewhat more limited than a lot of people in this subreddit, but I currently own the following planars, listed in order of preference: Simgot EW300 Letshuoer S08 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Dioko The EW300s are great. Love em lots. They're "fun" sounding. The S08s are a little more reserved, and are generally the ones I go with laying in bed at night. They're also more comfortable for a side-sleeper. The Diokos are just.. not great in any way. They're not BAD, really, just boring.
r/iems • What's been your fav planar so far? ->I'm a decades long audiophile, and my final home stereo/surround system includes an Audio Research all tube amp, Audible Illusions preamp, and Mirage M3 chin high speakers. A high end Lexicon surround processor feeds the side and rear speakers through separate amps. Back in the mid-90's I purchased the Sennheiser HD580 and Beyerdynamic 990, but these were considered just 'accessories' those days. I enjoyed them with the portable devices available at the time, but my main stereo system got the spotlight. In 2020, during covid, I became more interested in headphones. I was struck by the huge community of hobbyists and all of the DACS, amps, and headphones available. So I entered the headphone world and became an enthusiast. Over 4 years and many DAC/amp/headphone combinations I settled on a recent mid-level Topping DAC, an excellent XDuoo hybrid amp, 5 Beyerdynamic headphones (including the DT 1990) as my favorites. And then I added the Arya Organic. At that point I figured the bang to buck ratio precluded the need for any further improvements. You know what happened next-- I kept seeing articles, comments, and videos about IEMs and had to see what all the fuss was about. I bought the KZ Terminator and had problems getting a good seal. I had to work with the over-ear cords to get them right. Had to purchase different tips-- and then it all started working right. I soon got the s12 pro, Simgot EW200, 300, and EA1000. I've now added the Ziigaat x Fresh Arete and Hidizis mp 145 and Aful Explorer to my favorites. So is it all hype? No, IEMs can really sound great. It's more of an intimate, in the head experience than headphones, and the sound is immersive. Are they 'better' than headphones? No. They're different, but not necessarily better. My DT 1990's and Arya Organic's still reign supreme, overall. And my home stereo system is still the best in terms of a more realistic, big-scale sound. The difference between a large speaker home setup, and headphones, and IEMs is all about the scale of the sound. IEMs just can't match the scale of the Organics, and the Organics aren't replicating music in the scale of a speaker system. But the IEM experience is very addictive. I think that part of the attraction, after the immersive quality, is the simple novelty of it all. I'm putting these tiny things into my ears and I'm getting this relatively huge experience And they're so comparatively cheap. Back in my home stereo days a component could cost 2-3K or more. The Organics cost $1300. My EA1000's cost $225, and I think of these as equal to my DT 1990's, although at a smaller scale.
r/iems • Are IEMs Really That Much Better, or Just an Audiophile Flex? ->dd + planar is pretty damned ideal for metal. I love the EW300. I also have the S08 and it's pretty great too but doesn't have that low-end slam.
r/iems • Artti T10 we're finally friends. ->Hi if you are considering the ew300, I would recommend for you to get either the og version or the dsp and skip the hbb collab version. Watching audio amigo's video on the ew300, the og and the hbb collab don't really sound different, so there is no worth going for it. Most importantly, [HBB is a horrible human being](https://www.reddit.com/r/HobbyDrama/comments/grsffw/headphones_reviewer_effectively_steals_small/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) that I would avoid supporting.

r/iems • Best possible iem in the range of 60-80$. Considering the EW300 & Tangzu XuanNv ->Imo it wasn't even worth it on release. Now, hell no. The treble is way too sharp and the bass is muddy. Just get the ew300 or save for em6l if u want simgot sound. Jaysaudio is the only one who shills these and the LM's.
r/iems • Is Simgot EA500 still worth it in 2025? ->Simgot EW300 and Kefine Klean are current stand out. if you want planar for that extra details, there are ARTTI T10, SGOR Luna, and KZ PRX are all under $70.
r/iems • Overwhelmed by the amount of options. ->First thing first, unless you want to try different tuning signature or driver setup, Avoid sidegrading in sub $30 market. It wont that much "better" I would recomend to save abit and hunt for $40~80 market. For fun sounding iems, From KZ house, KZ Zenith comes highly recommended. There is also the current sub $100 darling, Simgot EW300.
r/iems • IEMs BETTER THAN KZ CASTOR PRO? ->Rock under $80? Simgot EW300 and Juzear Z Defiant. TRN Shell also nice.
r/iems • Why almost everyone wants to avoid KZ? ->Yeah, get Simgot EW300 or at very least TruthEar Pure. Hexa is quite neutrally tuned and first timer might got "meh" reaction to it.
r/iems • Truthear Hexa as first IEM? ->First of all Thank you for the info about the sonus, i have been binge watching iem reviews and have finally settled down for EW300 you also mentioned! it was a tough decision to make haha.
r/iems • Reccomend me a V shaped IEM in 100$ ->+1 , it ew 300 offer solid package at it's price
r/iems • Help with picking IEMs for gaming (100$-120$) ->After checking lots of comparisons, I've shortlisted Simgot ew300.
r/headphonesindia • Best IEM in India under 10000 ->In my opinion, the XM4 slightly has a better soundstage, imaging, and clarity if you enable spatial audio features, but it drains battery quickly. In normal use, both are not good. I won't suggest the XM4 to anyone because there is a battery drain issue ( my battery died after 2 years of use). It's not worth the money. If you are an audio critic, choose a better IEM. Currently, I'm using a Simgot EW300 DSP IEM and it is far better than the other TWS, IEMs , earphones I have used.
r/headphonesindia • Best IEM in India under 10000 ->In my opinion the Simgot EW 300 is the best sounding device I've ever used. It has a V-shaped sound signature. Also, It responds to EQ very well, so you can EQ it to your liking. For your reference, I haven't used many IEMs in the past. I've only used devices like KZ ZS10, 1more triple driver, Sony neckband, Oneplus neckband, Jabra Elite 65T, Sennheiser cx-180, Jabra elite 3, Sony wf-1000xm4.etc . My comparison is based on this experience.
r/headphonesindia • Best IEM in India under 10000 ->I own they simgots and i love them
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->I own the simgots and i love them
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->For me although it has a good v shape, the bass lacks a little. It sounds muffled on some heavy bass songs. The midrange is limited as well on some instrumental jazz tracks when the treble is present, for an example Pharoah Sanders, You got to have freedom track. I use this track mostly when testing IEMs. The moondrop was one of my first IEM along with KZzs 12 Pro X tuning model and Simgot EW300 HBB. The Letshuoer Cadenza4 is my daily driver for now. It has the best sound signature for what I listen to.
r/iems • Which IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆 ->I tired all 3 of the EW 300 series. I kept the HBB version. They are all good, but the HBB has the tuning I like out of the box. But I EQ just about everything I own so.
r/iems • How much do I need to spend so my iem doesn't sound cheap? ->Currently using: SIMGOT EW300 - $73 - (a little ear pain, good sound stage, nice bass, unique look, solid construction) Also on the way to try out: KZ ZS10 Pro - $40 Question: Would any $125-$175 IEMs provide a meaningful step up from these for Warzone and Battlefield (and occasionally music listening)? Primarily looking to be able to distinguish sounds more clearly (as gunfire, explosions, footsteps, and environmental sounds can sometimes get mushy) and pinpoint footsteps with more precision. Open to suggestions based on your real-world experience!
r/iems • Looking for IEM recommendations for gaming purposes. Anything in the $125-$175 range worth considering? ->IEMs I love in the $20 range: Wan'er Jade 2, AGA Sound Aga 1, Wyvern Black Re-imagined; Simgot EW100 $50-$75- In Awaken Dawn MS, Artti 10, Simgot EW300, EPZ Q Pro, TRN Shark $75-$110ish- Meyer-Audio Sliiva SLA3s, BGVP Feather (my favorite IEM without respect to price), Siivga Que UTG, Azla Horizon 2. $150-$300ish Meyer Audio CKLV D62; Letshouer Cadenza 4; ivpQ Conch V12 New IEMs I like a lot: KZ Duet (weird but sound great) Photon Pro 2 (weird but sound great), EarAcoustic STA-PRO, and **LETSHUOER D02**, maybe the most comfortable IEM I've ever put [in.my](http://in.my) ears.
r/iems • What does more expensive IEMs bring to the table in terms of audio quality? ->The ew300 is a great choice. So is the Kefine Klean.
r/iems • Looking for IEM Recommendations Under ₹7K - Simgot EW300 vs Better Options?" ->I started with and love the EW300. It’s fairly energetic with its V shape signature though so if you’re at all worried about fatigue maybe seek recommendations for a warmer set. I have it paired with the FiiO JA 11 and it gets plenty loud and sounds good. Only caveat is that dongle can run warm and uses a good portion of my phone battery to run it.
r/iems • Looking for IEM recommendations and MP3 player recommendations ->the gate isn't bad but is in no way good, I recommend for budget get the tangzu wan'er or the 7hz zero2. but honest at this price range it won't be any really bug upgrade if you wanna hear major difference you gotta bring your budget to around 50 with things like the simgot ew300, crinicle project red or the tangzu Xuan nv
r/iems • I just got an IEM but I find no significant difference? ->Not the Simgots they’re terrible for gaming thin and harsh imo.
r/iems • Which one is the best for ps5 gaming? ->Depends if you’re sensitive to treble and don’t mind a metallic tinny tinge to the sound. They aren’t bad IEMS but as mentioned they’re quite thin sounding which for me doesn’t work well with gaming because although they’re quite clear sounding (which is good obvs) they also don’t have that all encompassing cinematic vibe that works so well with games, movies and things of that nature far too lean and fatiguing which during a long gaming session quickly becomes grating in my experience.
r/iems • Which one is the best for ps5 gaming? ->Yess I’d start off with something a touch safer first I found the Simgot EW300 to be quite harsh & metallic sounding as a beginner.
r/iems • Looking for IEM recommendations and MP3 player recommendations ->S08 > EW300 > Defiant for build
r/iems • Best build quality for the 50-100$ top ranked group? ->Definitely keep a look out on the sales I managed to get mine for about £52 earlier in the year.
r/iems • [IEMs x VIDEOGAMES] SIMGOT EW300 under review! Pics inside. ->If you’re treble sensitive or sensitive to metallic timbre don’t get the EW300
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->Already have but it’s still far too fatiguing for me sadly 💔
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->Still painful in the pinna but it’s better than the silver but i also don’t like how congested the lower mids are. Overall with both nozzles i just find the balance really odd - far too warm & congested lower down but far too thin/metallic/harsh higher up def not for me but the metallic timbre is the deciding factor tbh because it’s the thing that I noticed the most. I also got the Letshuoer S08s & Aful explorers and both are a massive upgrade imo so I think that’s the path I’m on now (something more balanced & natural sounding with defined mid bass like the S08s but with texture, imaging and sub bass like the explorer) neither are perfect so I’m still looking for one that ticks all the boxes but its definitely closer to what i’d prefer especially the S08s.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->I like my ew300s for gaming
r/iems • Iem recommendations under 100 USD for gaming and music ->I particularly enjoy his tracks with female vocals like aLIEz and DARK ARIA
Coming in late but I just got these and they feel tiny tbh. I sorta have fitment issues with the tips idk if you will but may need better tips so the helmet doesn’t rip them out or mess with the seal
r/iems • In search of the perfect bass head IEM - HBB edition ->I have the Hexa, the Xuan NV and the EW300. I can tell you, the Hexa are great if you want maximum linear fidelity. They look better in reality than in the photos. However the nozzles are big and the sound might be boring. My favorites are the Xuan NV, because they are exciting, with a wide soundstage and a good bass while maintaining a good linearity and balance. However, you are sacrificing a little bit of details in the mids, compared to the Hexa. Also, you need to have a good audio source to fully appreciate the Xuan, because they are not easy to drive. Having a 4.4 balanced cable is a must. The EW300 are very good all rounder. I really enjoy these, very easy to drive, nice sound with good detail and punch. It's less wide than the Xuan and less detailed compared to the Hexa, but I suggest the EW300 to everyone as their first IEMs because you can't go wrong with them. I think the Simgot are the best value for money in general.
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->i agree. im a beginner too. have the kz castor pro bass edition and a d07 dac. and for the past 6 months or so ive been watching YT videos bout iems ENDLESSLY. like endlessly. wanted the zero red, then the moondrop may, now i decided to put in a lil but more and get the simgot ew300 hbb. and im promising myself im not getting anything else. these dacs and all deez shit are just scams. remember back in the days we used to be happy with just an apple wired earphones and an ipod or a 6s or a 7s. its not worth spending a ton for just listening to music. i play valo so yeah, some iems are much more detailed than these razer or hyperx headphones so ill just get one for that. thats it.
r/iems • I quit ->EW300 FiiO JH5 Hidizs MP143……I think that’s under or around $100……..
r/iems • iem recommendation under 100usd ->I know there's a quite a few people who have been waiting for me to finally make this post. I apologize for the delay, I was still waiting for an iem to be delivered. A little background: I've been an fps gamer all my life. I used to play cod semi-profressionally and participated in both online and LAN tournaments for money. The main fps games I play today are apex, cod and siege. Ever since I discovered the audiophile world with studio headphones I was amazed how much better headphones sounded compared to gaming headsets. Fast forward to present day and I am now into IEMs and discovering which ones are the best for gaming. As a disclaimer my thoughts and opinions are my own. I understand there are YouTubers such as Fresh Reviews, Ryan Ho, and Gadgetry Tech that may or may not agree with my takes. So please take my thoughts and opinions with a grain of salt as I am just a chill guy who likes to game competitively. The way I determine if an iem (or headphone) is good for gaming is by 3 main categories: soundstage, imaging, and sound separation. A good and accurate soundstage has good width (x), height (y), and depth (z). Imaging, or stereo imaging, is the spacial perception and ability to perceive the precise placement of sounds. Essentially directional audio. I.e left, right, center, back, top left, etc. Sound separation in a iem or headphone is the ability to pick up different sounds at once without it overlapping each other. So the ability to hear explosions go off, gun shots, gadgets, footsteps, etc without distorting the other sounds. With that being said here's the list of iems that I've tried each with a short review and a rating out of 5 for gaming (3 is usable, anything less is not): CCZ BC01 Pro (1) - way too bassy, bad vertical directional audio. Better options CCZ BC04 Pro (2) - same issue as the BC01 but a much more tolerable bass. Better options Moondrop Chu 2 (1.5) - sound is okay, soundstage felt narrow to me. Imaging was okay. Sound separation was below average. Premium feel and build but I didn't like how heavy they were on my ears. Better options Truthear Gate (2) - sound great but not good for gaming. Narrow soundstage, imaging is okay, below average sound separation. Better options Truthear Zero Red (?) - literally couldn't fit in my ears properly without severe pain. So I couldn't test the IEM and returned it. Will be testing the zero 2 tho Truthear Hexa (4) - comfort is not that good, better than the zero reds tho, soundstage and imaging is okay, sound separation is decent. Also not a fan of how they sound tbh. Too neutral for me Tripowin Vivaci (3) - nearly identical to the zeros 2 in technical performance but I like the zero 2 more in terms of overall sound. And for $5 more you can get the 7Hz G1 which is better than both 7Hz Zero (2.5) - a bit too bright, zero 2 is better 7Hz Zero 2 (3) - average soundstage, decent imaging, below average sound separation. Best $20 iem imo, better options as you continue to go up in price 7Hz G1 (4.5) - a Klean but cheaper with a more fun v-shaped sound signature, get this if you're on a budget 7Hz Sonus (4.5) - the most underrated iem for gaming, great imaging and great soundstage but average sound separation. EW300 is a bit better cuz it has better sound separation Kiwi Ears Canta (3.5) - a bit too bright for most people, good imaging, okay soundstage, below average sound separation Kiwi Ears Quartet (4) - best soundstage imo, super comfy fit, imaging is okay and sound separation is average Kefine Klean (4.5) - a better Delci, better sound separation and arguably better sound signature imo Kefine Delci (4) - good soundstage and imaging, slightly above average sound separation Simgot EW300 (4.5) - nearly endgame but still needs better sound separation. Simgot EM6L (5) - endgame, great soundstage, great imaging, great sound separation. Can't recommend it due to it's nozzle QC issues. Otherwise I probably wouldn't use any other IEM for gaming but this Simgot Supermix 4 (3.5) - not endgame. Might get some hate for this but I was really not impressed by this iem for gaming. It had a narrow soundstage and okay imaging, good sound separation tho. EM6L is way better Other IEMs I am planning to review: ND Planet, Tangzu Waner 2, KZ EDC Pro, Truthear Zero 2 Blue, and Kiwi Ears Airoso Note - in the end I recommend the 7Hz G1, 7Hz Sonus and EW300. The DT 900 Pro X and 770 Pro X are my reference headphones for directional audio for competitive fps games. Those headphones essentially make me feel like I have wall hacks and the iems perform 85-90% as good. The best was definitely the EM6L where I felt nearly no difference in performance with my headphones but I can't recommend it because of the nozzle QC issue. It is an easy fix by super gluing it back on but that shouldn't even happen for an iem worth $110 in the first place. With that being said I will still review iems (and headphones) above and below the respective prices but I feel that you will be perfectly happy with the performance of the iems I recommended. Side Note: I'm currently in the process of building a website with the best gaming peripheral recommendations which includes not only iems but headphones, keyboards, mice, monitors, even pro controllers and more. Hope you all have a blessed day and find this helpful in your purchasing decision!
r/iems • Best IEMs for FPS Gaming: The results may surprise you ->I'd say much better. Build quality is much much better than the plastic $20 iems. Those break quite easily. The EW300 is a great choice imo.
r/inearfidelity • Are $70 IEMs noticeably better than $20 IEMs In most ways? Or is it not enough of an upgrade? ->I would say try the kiwi ears cadenza or the kinera celest wyvern black they both punch far above their price point. I would skip the zero red. If u can I would go for the simgot ew300 it often goes on sale for around $60. I’ve also seen the shozy p20 just under $70.
r/iems • Seeking Recommendations ->This isn’t going to be a technical breakdown talking about graphs or fancy terminology. I don’t fully understand those yet (though I can piece some things together). Instead, this is just a random write-down and review from someone who enjoys music, and appreciates the experience, and wants to share my impressions that might help others starting out. It’s a long one, since I’ve gone through a LOT of IEMs in a short time. Firstly, I listen to all sorts of music. Classic, rap, rock, punk, pop but mostly vocal ballads and pop. I can probably also say I'm not "treble sensitive" (never tested whether I am or not) but as long as the IEM fit comfortably, didn't have a problem with fatigue. For reference, I’m using a JDS Atom 2 stack. Whether that matters much, you can decide for yourself. I started with a HyperX Cloud headset for gaming and music. Then I bought into the open-back headphone hype and got a Sennheiser HD6XX. Loved the sound, but big-head problems made them super uncomfortable after a while. That’s when I decided to try IEMs. My first real IEM was the Oriolus Finschi. Bought it on a whim, no research. Turned out great: comfy, clear vocals, decent instrument separation, and even worked well for tactical FPS games. I used them for years until the plastic wrapping on the shell started peeling. And so my budget IEM collection starts. Also if you're asking why buy so many, I just have a bad habit of making a collection. Now a quick review of these for anyone who also don't understand the graphs and want a general idea. Budget IEMs I’ve tried (ranked best to worst for me). **Kefine Delci AE:** These became my favorite as they had clear vocals and instruments with good separation and resolution, similar to the Oriolus Finschi but just a bit more lively. They sounded slightly brighter/livelier than neutral (I’ll put the Finschi and Hexa as the neutral-sounding baseline). These were fun and enjoyable—everything sounded clear and lively without being piercing. Even the bass was clear and sharp, not boomy, which I liked. **Letshouer S08:** This was my favorite until the Delci AE arrived. They were just pleasing to listen to—fun but also relaxing. Definitely a step down in clarity from the Delci AE, and probably less clear than the Simgot EA500LM, but still more enjoyable to listen to than the EA500LM. The bass wasn’t too much either; it was clear and sharp. It felt *fast*—like you could feel that it came out quickly and clearly. I’m guessing that’s the “speed of planar” people keep talking about? **Aful Explorer:** This one I didn’t like much stock, but once I applied EQ through Peace, they got significantly better. Stock, they were too dark and heavy sounding—everything was a bit muffled and muddy sounding. After EQ, they definitely improved. They were still dark sounding, but less so. Darker than the S08, but brightened enough for me to enjoy them. Vocals still felt clear, just not as clear as the Delci AE, maybe about the same as the S08. The Explorer had more of a boomy bass compared to the sharp, clear bass of the IEMs mentioned above. **Simgot EA500LM:** These had very clear vocals, which made me enjoy them for vocal ballads and pop tracks. But the background instruments weren’t as clear or well separated, and the soundstage seemed small and recessed compared to the vocals. This made vocals stand out but instruments felt like they all came from the same area, which wasn’t great for classical music. These probably had the most bass out of all the budget IEMs I got. It was boomy—the opposite of the sharp bass of the Delci AE and S08. With the Delci AE and S08 I could hear when the bass started and stopped, but here it just boomed and sort of rolled off instead of “stopping.” **Truthear Hexa:** Mediocre for me—nothing really stood out. It had clear vocals, instruments, and bass, but not to the point that it was clearer than the IEMs above. Very neutral and "boring". **Dunu Kima 2:** These had really good vocals, probably on par with the Delci AE. However, I found the background instruments very recessed, even more so than the EA500LM, making them unclear. The difference between forward, clear vocals and recessed background instruments felt weird to me. Otherwise, I think I would have really liked these—especially since this IEM comes with the best accessories by far. It’s like Dunu added the Kima 2 IEMs to their accessory set, instead of the other way around. **Letshouer S12 Pro:** Personally, I don’t understand the hype behind these. They sounded a bit unnatural and artificial—not relaxing or fun for me. They were bright, and I couldn’t EQ them properly. Toning down the brightness made them muddy. They were decent in clarity and had sharp, fast bass, but the overall tonality was just too bright and artificial for me. Still, I would pick these over the next two, just because they were clearer in both vocals and instruments which I value highly. **Kefine Klean:** These were okay, just average all around. Similar to the Truthear Hexa, but toned down evenly in all categories. Average clarity, separation, bass. Nothing wowed me, and they were a bit boring. Personally, I’d save up for the Delci AE or S08. **Simgot EW300:** Very slightly less clarity than the Klean, but a bit more bass and a livelier sound signature. If you listen to more rock or EDM, you would probably enjoy the EW300 more than the Klean. Just to quickly add: I also got the Moondrop Starfield 1 when they were popular back then, but they were heavy, uncomfortable, and mediocre. I didn’t use them for long and honestly can’t remember them well enough to describe beyond that. Currently, I’ve upgraded to mid-level IEMs and rotate between the Aful Explorer 5+2, Kiwi Ears Astral, Aether, and Ziigaat Odyssey. I found that the mid-level IEMs are definitely better than all the entry-level ones—I can clearly hear a difference when swapping back to the Delci AE or S08 in terms of clarity, resolution, and soundstage. However, the upgrade isn’t *huge*, so whether that’s worth the extra price depends on you. Maybe if people enjoyed reading this long post, I can do another crappy review for the mid-level IEMs I’ve collected.
r/iems • My IEM journey and quick subjective reviews of the entry level IEMs I have purchased so far. ->Lil too late for that, ended up buying simhot ew300 dsp
r/iems • Best iems for warm neutral? ->All 4 are differently tuned. Legato is a bass monster, if you’re looking for much else you may be disappointed. **InAwaken** (my personal daily iem and fave) is fantastic. Warm leaning but enough brightness to keep it lively and engaging. Mid bass is smooth & textured with good sub bass rumble but no bloat. Vocals are very well balanced for both male/female ; treble has good clarity and is non fatiguing. Overall separation/imaging is great, nothing is “muddy”. Super comfortable resin shell, has shorter nozzle so no discomfort with insertion for me, YMMV. Can’t praise this set enough, for the price it’s incredible. The difference between the standard/HBB is the colour and the DSP cable, all the 300’s have the tuning nozzles. Both **Simgot EW300’s** are balanced V, treble leaning but variable with the nozzles. Could be an issue if treble sensitive, otherwise highly recommend either set. Sub & mid bass nice and punchy, no bleeding. Low mids are really rich & engaging, upper slightly drops off but works with this tuning to not feel too forward. Solid vocal set, female vocals can feel slightly recessed at certain pitches but otherwise sound great. Very good micro details, treble is clear and airy, albeit sibilant at times. Only tried the EW300 standard for a short while last wk but had no complaints with comfort or sound quality. Just prefer the tuning & fit/design of the InAwaken, it can be used all day with no problems physically or musically. **If you can buy both sets to try with a good return policy, I would advise this.** If not, take a leap with the tuning you think will work best. r/iems • Iem advice ->What kind of music do you listen to? Would you consider yourself a basshead? I'm comparing the graphs for doscinco and estrella to ew300 which I have, and they both have less bass. To be frank, the ew300 doesn't have enough bass for me, I had to EQ it to sound as I please
r/iems • Help me choose ->It's an upgrade in every possible way. There's the bass that I wanted, it's brighter and has ton of detail. Imaging is pretty good too. Used it in cs2 and I can almost pinpoint where enemy is. It fits my ears better. The EW300 was falling out of my ear. My friend tried it and he had a similar experince. I don't know if it's the shape or weight. My only complaint with estrella is driver flex. If the eartips are making a perfect, and I mean perfect seal, I hear the driver flex when pushing it in, but if the eartip has the slightest place to let air into the ear canal there's no driver flex.
r/iems • Help me choose ->After trying multiple iems, I’ve narrowed down my favorites to these ones. 1. Simgot EW300 Hbb - Honestly these will be more than enough for 95% of people, at first I thought these were just ok but after a/b ing the 3, they hit way higher than their pricing suggests. Basshead levels and clarity with the planar. Fit is ok very small and slim but flat shape no contours. Very easy to drive from mobile no dac needed. 2. Fatfreq Deuce - Yes the sub bass is insane on these but have no good weight to the mids so for vocals and non bassy songs, this Iem might be a little lacking. The fit is awesome however and one of the best I’ve found, very light and good contouring, does not stick out from ears. Subwoofer levels of bass and the tips included are one of the best I’ve encountered so far. Not sure what style this is called and I’m looking to buy similar ones aftermarket, any suggestions? They are slightly hard to drive but dongle dac should be fine. 3. Kiwi Ears Punch - These are very good as everyone else has said but I’m not honestly not sure it’s worth the giant price jump from the EW300. First these iems are very large and stick out from your ears, they have a good shape but over time they don’t stay in position as well as the other two. The mid bass is definitely improved quite well over the deuce but sub bass doesn’t hit as strong in my opinion, treble is definitely better. Compared to the EW300 however the differences are very hard to discern, after using the right tips on the EW300 these two iems sound so close to me, my amateur ears can’t hear a noticeable improvement. 🤷 TLDR - Simgot EW300 more than enough with right ear tips
r/iems • In search of the perfect bass head IEM - HBB edition ->Actually looking for an intense subwoofer rumble, I tested an aful explorer and the dynaquattros and they didn’t match my simgot ew300 on that track. I’m not sure exactly how to describe the difference in the bass. The dyna and the aful sounded like a subwoofer when it rattles inside a car trunk and the simgots just had a clean thump!
r/iems • Looking for a bass heavy/basshead set for $200 to $300. ->See my edit^ , but man that’s just a big step up in price that I’m not really looking for right now. Think my simgot is pretty satisfactory
r/iems • Looking for a bass heavy/basshead set for $200 to $300. ->I recommend the simgot ew300, if you see the DSP version you may love it a lot
r/iems • I need advice 🙏🙏 ->Also, if you get the DSP version and a 3.5mm cable separate, you'll have two more sound profiles to choose from.
r/iems • Truthear hexa or simgot ew300 ->EA500 only if detail and imaging is at the top of your list. If you're treble sensitive in the slightest, EW300.
r/iems • Truthear hexa or simgot ew300 ->I have multiple sets of iems up to around the $300 mark and the EW300 DSP is still the most fun of my collection.
r/iems • Simgot ew300 vs Kiwi ears cadenza, which is better to enjoy music? ->4 months or so ago I was looking for a new pair of IEMs and I asked for advice here on this sub, based on the recommendations and reviews I got myself the above mentioned pair. This has been my most expensive purchase so far at 80$, yet this was by far my worst experience with a pair of IEMs. Lets start with the good, the sound separation is good, the accessory package also nice, the cable is decent, its comfortable to wear despite being heavier than IEMs with a resin body. But that's where the good parts end, the first bad thing is the soundstage, I knew it was quite treble heavy, but I expected the treble to be clear to compensate for that, it is not. The treble is very muddy and the weak bass next to it just results in a suboptimal listening experience unless you listen to songs only containing mids like classical string instruments. This could be remedied with a tiny bit of EQ, but it doesn't help much. Secondly, it is blatantly imbalanced out of the box, while searching around for EQs I saw that the waveform for this pair was not in sync at all except I didn't expect it to be this noticeable in practice, one side always feels more bassy than the other and it gets quite annoying sometimes. I saw that humidity can cause such issues in some models but I live in a relatively dry environment. Third, the last and worst part is the build quality, it has been 4 months since unboxing and daily driving it, I used the carry case as often as I could, I took care of it, didn't drop it, didn't tug on the cable, in only 4 months, the glue or whatever holds this together just gave up. It fell apart while it was in my ear and I was adjusting it while watching a youtube video. [Discombobulation](https://preview.redd.it/o32gc6z07mhf1.png?width=4624&format=png&auto=webp&s=9bb72c96aafe5c4ed4494b4e1b80027feab8f62d) I issued a warranty claim right away, after a lenghty but otherwise painless process I received a replacement for the half that fell apart thanks to Linsoul's customer service. Except it has been 2 weeks and now the other side fell apart in the exact same manner. I am quite annoyed, sad and disheartened. I've been buying IEMs for 8 years now, starting with a cheap pair from an electronics shop near me and working my way up to the point where I am, always putting down more money for seemingly worse quality products. The last 3 pairs including these ones were over 60$ each and each died within a year of daily use. Everywhere I go I see people enjoying, daily driving these for years with 0 issues, yet here I am with nothing but a handful of broken pairs. At this point I am just completely lost on what to do, I tried to spend more money, tried to take care of them better, tried to listen to feedback and reviews (including this sub), feels like I tried everything, and its just failure after failure. I don't even see the point of trying to find "higher quality" IEMs anymore, because what if I spend double or triple and I just end up in the same place despite of the glowing reviews and recommendations. I'm just sad. Thanks for reading, I hope you have a better day than I did. Simgot is now added next to KZ on the list of do not buy for me. I'll go back to listening music with my crackling, bottom of the value bin, 10$ pair of sony buds that I have as an emergency replacement for now. I am open to advice or recommendations. Cheers
r/iems • Simgot EW300 review and small rant ->Should you get iems? Yes. Should you get the SIMGOT EW300? In my opinion,No I would say they are pretty much bass cannons with very recessed high mids, muddy low mids and needle like treble. I'd say go with the 7hz Sonus as it's a much better pick for neutral sound or if you want something that's a bit more of a v shaped signature but still has very detailed instrument separation I highly recommend the Kz Zax.
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->I came here to recommend the Simgot EW300 too. The value/performance is incredible. With EQ they sound good even against sets that are double the price. Love those things and they love me back with their little heart and kiss.
r/iems • What are some of the most value for money IEM's? ->I am sitting here right now listening to the Juzear Defiants that I bought months ago when they came out. I haven't used them in about 2 weeks and my mind was blown once again when I put them in this morning. In my opinion, as sub $100 iems they are the ones to get right now. I even recommend them to people who have $200 to spend. Side note: I have the EW300s and use them regularly and love them but it's obvious when I put on the Defiants that they are a step above.
r/iems • Why almost everyone wants to avoid KZ? ->I am not going to recommend the Simgot EW300 even though they are fantastic and I absolutely love them and use them pretty regularly. No, if your budget goes to 100 then Juzear Defiant full stop. I've seen them on sale for 70 and **in my opinion** are hands down the best sub 100 IEMs you can buy today. Forget that Z reviews is attached to them if you don't like him, they can go toe to toe with most 200 - 300 IEMs.
r/iems • Iem recommendations under 100 USD for gaming and music ->Idk what the other ppl is talking about tbh. But a good iem for gaming is the EW300s. You can start with those great for music and good for gaming.
r/iems • Are Truthear Zero Blue 2 good for gaming ? ->The EW300s are really good even better IMO than the Zeros in gaming, actually in everything. The blue2 might change that but until testing can't say.
r/iems • Seeking Comfortable IEM Alternatives to Truthear x Crinacle Zero (Blue) for FPS Gaming ->Always recommend the EW300, they have a dsp version with a mic and they are good for music too at 69ish dlls Edit1: Ohhh the explorers are on sale for 90something. Those are better than everything in ur list and everyone else suggestions
r/iems • Please recommend IEMs for gaming, ideally 40-70$ ->I rock my planar iem for that Shozy P20. You cant get the technical performance on par with them(2nd option F1 Pro) unless you go to the 300+ iems, Layla Live is amazing. Only if you have a dac already and willing to go with 4.4mm. If not The EW300s dsp version.
r/iems • IEM Recommendation for live & listening ->Ill just say it. Don't trust any reviewer unless you try alot IEMs and know ur tuning preference then check their reviews and if his/her tuning are pretty similar to urs, trust their tierlists. For gaming is very well know, EM6L is almost endgame, while the ew300s is actually enough.
r/iems • Is it worth it to switch from headphones to IEMs for gaming? ->I 💯 support EW300s. Amazing set and dsp version is like having 7 iems, 2 with the noozles swapping + the free EQ settings. They are my goto bday gift since last year to everyone I know.
r/iems • Recommend me an IEM for less than $100 ->I 💯 support EW300s. Amazing set and dsp version is like having 7 iems, 2 with the noozles swapping + the free EQ settings. They are my goto bday gift since last year to everyone I know.
r/iems • Suggest a good earphone that has the sound signature and capabilities of sony mdr xb55ap ->The Zero red are solid, do be warned the nozzle size are very large on them, so if your ear canals are a bit on the medium to smaller end they can get very uncomfortable. They do have really good Bass and sub-bass, but in terms of detail retrieval, especially in the upper end they're not as good as some other options. They still are a very solid pick though Simgot EW300 - $56 on sale w/ amazon prime, and are an incredible IEM for that price. Has 2 nozzles with a bit different tuning. ($56 version is the one with the 3.5mm cable) Tangzu YuXuanJi - $50, but not on amazon so you'd have to wait for shipping Kefine Klean - $49 on amazon, and some other places The apple dongle (as long as it's the US version, EU version is under powered) would drive any of these without issue.
r/iems • I analyzed the 25 most recommended IEMs on Reddit ->A couple of months ago I decided I was satisfied with my current over ear headphone situation and was intrigued by the low cost entry point of iems. So away I went reading different reviews and searching for deals. Now I sit on 15 different pairs of iems and too many different tips to count. It really is neat that you can explore so many different options in terms of driver set up and tuning for relatively cheap and still be getting very quality sound along the way (usually). I did end up finding a set that will be my current endgame as far as iems are concerned. That being said I saw tangzu released a new set and had to stop myself from buying it. Over all if you consider yourself an audiophile but are on a budget this is probably the best way for you to experience different sounds and try different things without spending the rent. On the flip side if you have no budget it’s also I good way to burn your excess money quickly should you so choose. Lastly if you are brand new to this and you are not sure where to start don’t spend more than $30usd on your first set would be my recommendation. There are soo many good budget options and some even justify skipping let’s say the $100 price tag all together when it comes time you want to upgrade. Edit: whats in the box Left top to bottom Truthear: Pure, Simgot: EW300, CVJ: Aria, Moondrop: Aria 2 (red), Harmonic Empire (tangzu) : Xiao Qiao, Tangzu: Waner Studio edition Right top to bottom KZ: Vader, KZ: AS 16 pro X, Tanchjim: Nora, Tangzu: XuanWu Gate, Tangzu: Dufu verse 2, Tangzu: YuXuanJi
r/iems • Well that escalated quickly ->for me the Pure is great, I use it often but I am not a huge fan of the 300. I know lots of others really like it and after switching nozzles and tips around I did find it ok but just not my favorite. that being said I actually prefer the build quality of the 300.
r/iems • Well that escalated quickly ->My first is simgot ew300 DSP version, got them for $60 instead of the original $79 price tag. Fantastic sounding iems, wasnt really a blind buy, I got some other pair to reference from and I was still surprised after actually buying, also the gaming experience as well as eq potential on the DSP version is insane, at least for the price. So, no regret but if I had the opportunity to step back, I would definitely get a cheaper pair. I would say ew300s are good for listening to music in a quiet room, because of the treble signature, outside noises will ruin the experience a lot. So for a first buy I would like to get something more neutral, or even have a darker signature for comfort as well as versatility, I would say Kiwi ears Cadenza or Wan'er 2.
r/iems • I'm an IEMs absolute noob, and I wanted to give them a try. What was your first IEMs? Do you regret it? What would you get as a first cheap one if you could do it again? ->There are no DSP settings or options on the EW-300.
r/iems • Simgot EW300 DSP version - what to expect ->Nothing, you made the right choice. Most of these people clearly have no experience with EW-300. I own all three of the sets in question and the EW is definitely better than the cheaper ones. You’re gonna love em.
r/iems • Simgot EW300 DSP version - what to expect ->I’d go for the EW-300 DSP version. I’d say that and Supermix 4 are probably the best I have for metalcore. Who are you into?
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->What a coincidence, I just picked up the EW300 DSP version today too! I’ve got AirPods Pro 2 as well, but after I accidentally dropped them, the ANC on the left bud started making a weird buzzing/squeaking noise. Apple wants C$120 to replace it, so I thought I’d try out IEMs and experiment with a basic planar driver and I’m really liking it so far.
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->If you like hearing clear vocals and instruments like Classical or Indie, Hexa. If you primarily listen to edm, hip hop/bassy music, EW300. If you competitive game, Hexa Casual, solo, immersive gaming, or movies, EW300.
r/iems • Truthear hexa or simgot ew300 ->IEMs are not a good fit for the gym. I use a Soundcore sport for the gym; it is heavy in the bass but comes with a good app and can be EQ’d and has active noise cancellation. I like Simgot EW300 as an alternative to Hexa which I didn’t care for at all.
r/iems • Is there a better Hexa? ->I literally just upgraded from my chu 2's to the simgot EW300 so far I am happy with how they sound with gaming and music and and hear the difference in drivers
r/iems • What do you recommend after the Chu 2? ->Honestly I only use them for gaming and listening to music while gaming, everything else i switch to my speakers so I cannot really comment on how they sound for media use, but for gaming and music it's definitely a noticable upgrade from my chu 2s
r/iems • What do you recommend after the Chu 2? ->I just received Simgot ew300. Very happy with them. 20% off on Amazon Prime sale. I think today is the last day.
r/iems • Suggestions for the best 100$/€ pick ->Thanks but unfortunately, they are not on the list as I was aiming specifically for metal housing and planar IEM. To be exact, it's Simgot EG280 and Simgot EW300 (it was on the list and my radar but I eliminated it due to warm signature) EG280 is not fully metallic so that was a minus point for me.
r/iems • The Best IEM Builds at Each Price (2025 Ultimate Guide) ->I'd pick the ew300 over the kz Zenith or cca hydro, I don't like how kz tunes their treble. Just a me thing mostly.
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->Looking forward for a review. I have the original blues and it feels they lack punch in the mids, reason why I prefere my ew300hbb
r/iems • Truthear Blue 2s are here ->I have small ear cavities. I recommend the Simgot EW300, BLON x HBB Z300 or the 7hz Salnotes 2
r/iems • Recommend IEMs for small ears in the budget up to 100 dollars ->between these 2 I would prefer EW300.
r/iems • Kefine Delci vs. Simgot EW300 – Which One Should I Buy? ->So I’ve been a victim of Apple’s ‘ecosystem’ for probably close to a decade, simply because of its convenience, and general good quality products. Spotify recently came out with their Lossless Music, which of course, you don’t feel the effects of, over bluetooth. I decided to pull out my aux from retirement, and got myself a USBC to Aux adapter, with an inbuilt DAC (from ugreen). I plugged the aux into my car for the first time in probably 3 or 4 years… on my lord, the difference in quality alone, between cheap bluetooth dongles and a solid Aux DAC combo… insane stuff. So, I took it a step further; I’ve been using Airpod Pros since 2019, 1st, then 2nd generation. They do produce brilliant Audio, and are incredibly convenient; loads of bass, and treble, but it felt very squished together. With Lossless only really working with a wired connection, I thought I’d buy myself some nice balanced earphones… I then proceeded to go down the rabbit hole of IEMs, thanks to you guys. I read tons of reviews on here, first with my mind set on Truthear Zero Reds, then to my final decision, the Linsoul EW300s. I got them yesterday, and have done some light testing, with my range of playlists, from Rap & Rock and R&B to Orchestral songs. Ladies and Gentlemen, I now understand why people rave about IEMS. The audio clarity is absolutely incomparable to bluetooth earphones. Never has my EQ been so flat! I increased the bass very slightly, as well as the top end treble, still allowing very clear and pronounced vocals and guitar solos. I’ve made a note of a few songs that have truly opened my eyes to the clearness of IEMS, which blew my mind: Another Way To Die - Jack White & Alicia keys Wherever I May Roam - Metallica (Remastered) One - Metallica (Remastered) Jolene - Dolly Parton Darkshines - Muse Who’s Crying Now - Journey (Remastered) Bring Me To Life - Evanescence Thank you, to everyone who’s thrown their two-cents into reviews and suggestions in the last few months, you sold me the right IEMS, and I’m super happy.
r/iems • A beginner’s review Apple Airpod Pro 2 vs Linsoul EW300 ->The airpod pros aren’t even bad in the first place, but these have truly opened my eyes to what true wired audio should sound like. I will still use my airpods for youtube and such, but there’s absolutely no competition when listening to music, I’m grabbing these all day every day!
r/iems • A beginner’s review Apple Airpod Pro 2 vs Linsoul EW300 ->I have the following planar sets listed from favorite to least favorite: Kiwi Ears Aether, Letshuorer S08, Letshuoer S12 pro, Tangzu Zetian wu HeyDay. Hybrid sets: Dunu BrainDance, Punch Audio Martilo, Simgot EW300
r/iems • What's been your fav planar so far? ->I also play Val and I used SIMGOT EW300 DSP (the one with type c cable). It is very versatile, exceptional for music and also performs really well in games. The DSP version comes with an extended USB female to male cable which is convenient to plug it directly to your PC mobo.
r/iems • Help me select IEM for Valorant ->EW300 + aftermarket cable with mic + fiio ka11 + good eartips = 100$
r/iems • Best IEM under $100 for gaming? ->Well, EW300 has more sub bass but less mid bass than Aria 2 while EW300 DSP with red filter and EA500LM black filter has less bass overall but thin mids
r/iems • Best IEM under $150 for me? ->Well, EW300 has more sub bass but less mid bass than Aria 2 while EW300 DSP with red filter and EA500LM black filter has less bass overall but thin mids
r/iems • Best IEM under $150 for me? ->I personally use Simgot EW300's and ordered Kinera Celest Abyss/Black for a family member
r/iems • Truthear Gate review after 3 months ->I personally use the standard version.
r/iems • Iem recommendations under 100 USD for gaming and music ->Go for simgot ew300, worth the money and the sound quality is amazing.
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal/metalcore for $50? ->Any simgot. Not the Best but details and trebel the Best for money.
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->The signature KZ sound does NOT work for the kind of music I like listening to. Just sounds like someone keeps shattering glass inside of my ear canal... Just from a quick scroll I can already tell the comments are filled with folks who have similar issues with Simgot as well which I think is fair. While I consider them better technical performers, a lot of the tuning has some similarly sharp and spicy aspects to it that plenty of people might really enjoy but that some others will just find unbearable. It's the number one thing I was never quite able to get used to in any IEM...
r/iems • Which IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
