simgot ew300 have a really versatile tuning that will do any genre well. you also get 2 tuning nozzles for some extra flexibility. if you want great soundquality then the buds 2 pro or air pod pro 2 are the best you can do if if you want to go that route, you could probably get the pro 2 for 150 or less, and ew300 are 70$ msrp but will be on sale on nov 11

DZ4 is a very veryyyy unique IEM that works well only in certain genres, i would advice you to do a lot of research if its one of your options. EW300 is decent option, you may be lacking mid bass tho, it wont feel near as punchy as Castor Bass. But, i dont think its worth coming from a EW200. imo there are 4 good options: Nova/Supermix4 if you want a harman approach (SM4 being brighter), IE200 as a better and smoother EW200 or 7HZ Legato. The last set is basically a KZ Castor Bass in steroids that really scales with enough power.

Of all the IEMs I have, for some reason, the one I like the most is the Aful Explorer. I also have the Kefine Klean, Kefine Delci Ae, Sivga Que, Kiwi Ears Airoso, Lesthouer S08, Simgot EW300, Hidizs MP143, and MP145. All of these IEMs have a somewhat neutral, warm signature, but they all have excellent, very different sounds. I recommend the Aful Explorer, it's the best without a doubt. I won't tell you about the Hidizs MP145 because they're too big and can have adjustment problems if you have a narrow ear canal. Another thing I recommend is that you play with different types of cables and eartips, they can make a difference.

My new automatic recommendation for under $100 is the EW300 (HBB or DSP). Incredible performance for the price.

I have tried both the delci and ew300 (hbb edition if that counts) and now owns the delci. If you want bass, i would go for the ew300. Delci does have bass, but more subbass boom, so it kinda just stays low (position). If my memory serves me right, ew300 has more bass quantity like the whole region. And one more substantial point, i find the delci better in term of soundstage. Otherwise everything else is just ok, delci mid is slightly sharp which is more fitting for female vocal. I dont think you are going wrong with any but for me, the main selling point is soundstage, hence i choose the delci.

Personally, i find the delci less harsh than the ew300, so delci is better for long term usage. If you can, you should try it before hand

Hey, yes, sorry, I totally forgot to respond here ! I got it, and it is very very good. I had some IEMs like the IE600 from Sennheiser, pr the Mangird Top from Xenns, so some very expensive sets. The EW300 is sincerely good. As good as some 150/200€ sets for me. It is a full, energetic sound, very dynamic. For comparison the EA500lm is brighter, has a little bit more detail, but is more fatiguing and sound less natural to me. The EW300 has beautiful vocal, god treble, and very present bass.

Here's my audiophile journey so far from the chu 2 to the ew300 to the hexa. **Moondrop chu 2 :** Bought the moondrop chu 2 about 2 months ago. Impressed me a lot coming from oppo enco buds 2. The bass was punchy. Everything was more clear. More details in song. I did found it to be a bit sibilant and fatiguing. This must mean my preference is the V shape signature but with a little lower treble than the chu 2. So I got greedy, decided to upgrade and returned the chu 2. Also, the chu 2 were pretty mediocre for gaming. Too much bass made hearing footsteps hard. I play CODM a lot (one of those ranked sweats), although gaming is not my priority here. **Simgot EW300 :** I was first looking for something with lower treble. Found the tangzu waner to fit my needs. Waner 2 was releasing at that time. Decided to wait for it and did a lot a research at that time while also saving money. Choice then became truthear zero red and later decided to go for the ew300 or the hexa after various reviews. The hexa had supposedly lower bass as per everyone in this subreddit and the bass in the chu 2 was one thing that impressed me a lot. So EW300 was the way. And after a month of returning the chu 2, I finally bought the EW300 HBB edition. Had a lot of hopes. and..................... It was a **TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT**. The bass was not punchy and was too fast, the mids were recessed and muddled in busy tracks (most indian songs are pretty busy imo). The piezoelectric timbre and peaky treble gave it a somewhat unnatural sound, lacking coherency, especially noticeable at higher volume. At first I gave it sometime to adapt. After 3 days, brought audiocular d07 dac (CX30993 MAX97220) fearing that the iem maybe underpowered since it has a micro planar. Nothing changed, other than the fact that now I max out at 30% volume instead of the 80% without the dac. EW300 has its positives. The build, cable and looks felt very premium. It was very good for gaming also. Locating footsteps was very easy. It did suffer a bit when a lot was going on and the bass was still on the higher side for competitive gaming imo. Now I was confused about what sound signature I actually liked lol. As a last resort, tried to exchange the ew300 for the hexa. The thought was 'I can live with boring neutral sound with no bass but can't bear this muddled, recessed mids and metallic treble timbre'. Here's the thing. I bought these iems from headphonezone which is the best store for iems in India. They have this policy of one time exchange only and I had used it with the chu 2. As a student, 7400 inr (85 usd) was a lot and I can't save it one more time. So I emailed them if they could give me one more exchange chance and they agreed. If u are from india, just buy from them. Conceptkart and audiostore have bad customer care apparently. Else buy from linsoul and pray for no customs. So, I returned the ew300 and bought the hexa. **Truthear hexa :** Didn't expect the hexa to impress me as it doesn't have good bass and V-shape signature. and.................... it freaking impressed me, **A LOT.** Everything was way cleaner and sounded right. Holy details in every song I hear. Handled busy tracks like a champ. Bass was just enough, it did lack that exciting punch a bit (maybe I am not much of a bass head after all). Treble didn't felt peaky at all, maybe at high volumes (still way better than the chu 2). All this after hearing it for like, an hour. Will be using these for a long time to come. Extremely happy that I exchanged the ew300 for these gem of an iem. Coming to gaming, again it performed very well in busy gunfights. U can easily separate the footsteps, gunfights etc. The only downside I felt was the soundstage. Its not bad but ew300 performs little better in that regard. With the hexa, I can hear the footsteps and gunfights but can't locate it easily. The ew300 does this effortlessly. If u are looking for a gaming only iem, buy the ew300 and eq down the bass (for competitive only). **TL;DR : There's a reason the hexa is still the number one in this subreddits ranking under 100 usd. Don't underestimate the so called 'boring' neutral sound of the hexa. At least give it a try if u are new to this.** Thanks for all the help I received from this subreddit. Special thanks to dr\_wtf guy. U helped me a lot brother, keep up the good work.

Brought the chu 2 a month ago and it impressed me a lot, coming from oppo enco buds 2. So I returned it, saved more money, did my research and ended up with two choices - hexa or ew300. The first thing that impressed me with the chu 2 was the bass. The hexa had lower bass according to everyone. So I brought the ew300 hbb edition. Now here's the problem. It sounds bad. It is definitely better than my enco buds but the price increase from chu 2 is not justified. I cant compare the chu 2 and the ew300 as its been a month since I returned the chu 2. The bass is bloated. Mid bass punch is average. Overall presentation is not coherent. The recessed mids and piezoelectric treble timbre is very much audible. So I brought a dac - Audiocular d07 (cx31993) and still the sound seems same. Only this time, I max out at 30 volume instead of usual 80 without the dac. Can I do anything to improve this like buying a better dac or waiting to get adapted to it. Or should I just return this and get the hexa. I can live with lower bass but can't bear any bloated bass.

Forgot to mention the good things 1. Pretty good for gaming (I play CODM a lot) 2. Good build, cable and aesthetics Also I can't go beyond 30 volume using the dac. Does that mean this dac is sufficient to power this iem (it has a power hungry micro planar for that matter)

I just got the Delci and ordered the EW300 lol, I'll try to remember to share my thoughts. My guess is that the EW300 will sound more mid-forward with the red rings / silver nozzles and have similar timbre with the pink rings / gold nozzles. My guess is also that the EW300 will have slightly better technicalities, specifically detail retrieval, soundstage and sound separation with either nozzles. I am very happy with my Delci, but the EW300 seem like they'll be good enough for me and be my personal 'end-game' IEM, at least for now.

Just got my EW300. Quick first impressions with the silver nozzles / red rings off memory, not A-Bing: Sound separation / layering is a good amount better, probably thanks to single DD vs hybrid. Delci is not bad by any means, it's pretty good for a single DD in fact. Soundstage is noticeably wider. Bass is a bit tighter and more controlled. More energetic, but still smooth. I think I'm going to stick with the silver nozzles. Not a big detail guy, but based on memory I personally didn't see a big difference, for what it's worth. Both are good IMO. I imagine the gold nozzles will narrow the gap a bit or bring them closer together. Nice to have options. Might try them later if I have time. So far I'm very happy. I don't see myself needing more or anything else. These do well in everything I use them for. For reference, I do prefer a neutral / warmer timbre. I was happy with the Delci, but the EW300 gives a bit more energy in the upper mids and I'm not mad about it. Plus it has better technical ability. I think it's worth the extra $10-$15

It's hard to get IEMs to sound as good as over ears since there's much bigger drivers. I tried some Fiio pair that people recommended, but that sounded so holo and empty when anyone was speaking, but I spent money on Simgot Ew300 dsp and they're probably as good as I'll get for my ears. Nearly identical sound signature to the tygr 300rs where it's good enough bass and clarity in the highs and mids without it being piercing

If you like solid bass and decent mids that don't sound like they're coming out of a tin can, the simgot ew300 have been my favorite so far. Bought some so that I don't wear over ear headphones majority of the time when playing anything and have it pushing on my hair. The FIIO FH3 were disappointing to me, anyone talking sounded like they came were using a Campbell's can with a string attached as a microphone.

They dont, really. Its a completely different style of tuning. The OD200 is very vocal forward, and has a massive sub bass rolloff. The EW300 with the DSP Cable and the Silver Nozzle comes the closest to it, but the tonality is way off compared to the OD200, and it presents much darker and flatter. I mean, there is really no comparison at all. That being said, i am really not a fan of the OD200...I think the tuning is a little too specialized to be a good every day IEM, but thats just my opinion. If you listened to more classical or contemporary jazz standards, it would probably be an alright pick. But its just not my cup of tea.

Agreed. I have been lampooned for my review of the EW300 saying it was sub-mid. And other have taken issue with Tone Deaf Monk, and JayTiss for saying the same thing. The EW300 is absolutely overhyped, and is not kind to certain ear anatomy. For some people it sounds great...i naturally assume those people have never heard anything else, and have zero frame of reference. EA500Lm and Delci AE are superior.

The EW300 features a tribrid setup consisting of one dynamic driver, one micro-planar driver and one piezoelectric driver and each come together to form a very cohesive and dynamic presentation fitting of a follow up from the well loved Simgot EW200. Around your budget the best choice for you would be a Simgot EW300 (especially since you'll be using it for gaming), or a moondrop May. If you could increase your budget though i think you would really like the Kiwi Ears Aether as it has great bass without sacrificing the clarity, you could also get a DAC such as Jcally jm6 (i personally have no experience with it but i see other people recommend it very often), or just use any aux to type C adapter (the IEMs also have cable options with type C).

I think you should look into the simgot ew300 or artti t10. I have both of these, and I like both of them a ton more than the cadenza. I am not a fan of the cadenza. I think they sound super hollow and are just too flat for what I enjoy listening to (rock, pop, hip-hop, k-pop, and more). I can't speak to the reds, but I know a lot of others here like them. I also don't have the ew200, but I know they have a spicy treble. Looking at the fact you're coming from the zsn pro x, you might be used to that.

I'm probably what you'd call a Simgot fan, although I haven't heard the ET142 or SM4. I have all the rest, but will be returning the EW300. In some ways it's the safest-sounding Simgot, but it has a weird upper treble shimmer (presumably caused by the PZT driver), but more problematically, it gets quite muddled in the midrange. All the other Simgots, while some might find their house tuning bright, are technically exceptional and don't have problems with instrument separation like the EW300 does. It's possible I could have fixed more things through tip rolling, but I had had issues with the fit, where most tips would just pop out of my ears. So I was left with about 5 tips that fit and just had to pick the one that did the best job of fixing the treble. To be fair they *did* fix the treble, so that part at least can be addressed. Case in point. I just decided to get out my EW200 to see if it's really as bright as some people in this thread are saying (it's not, but I haven't listened to it for a while and it is brighter than I remember it being, so I can see how some people wouldn't like it). Anyway, I was listening to on my of test tracks, [This City Made Us by The Protomen](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNtXuKBu3gE) on the EW300 earlier. The main distorted guitar parts just turn to mush. It just came back on while listening to the EW200, and it actually handles this track better, with no muddling or mushiness.

Haven't heard the Xuan Nv or the May, but understand both to be pretty safe choices. Also the Kefine Delci is around that price if you want something a bit warmer/bassier. Thoughts on the ones I have: * Hexa - Boring neutral isn't for everyone and the nozzles are quite large, so many will find it uncomfortable. There are also better options if you really want a neutral tuning. * S08 - Very good but also very tip-sensitive, so might not work for you. Quite a niche, dark tunning with slightly boxy bass. Sacrifices some of the things planars are normally good at to get rid of planar timbre. Very good imaging, but the soundstage is very small & intimate. Probably not the best all-rounder or first IEM. * EW300 - Pretty safe warm-neutral tuning except for some zingy upper treble that throws everything off (fixable with tips, but you need a tip collection). Big problem is the midrange gets very muddled with busy tracks, so $20 1DD sets will outperform then a lot of the time. Avoid.

It looks like You had almost the same journey as me. I've also been loving various genres mainly EDM, and playing games a lot, and I used SteelSeries Arctis Nova7 before using IEMs. 2 Months ago, I made my choice, blind buying Mangird Tea Pro from Ali and I just fell in love in it. I still like my previous IEMs(Delci, EW300, NX7 Mk4, Vivace), but Tea Pro feels just way too good in both music and gaming. However, I highly recommend you to try it offline or check the return policy. Their shape is very unique and it might be awkward, the fit is perfect for me though. Anyway, Good for you enjoying music ! Good luck and have fun : )

At the very first time, I thought it was a bit tight. But now it just fits my ears perfectly, as I mentioned. Maybe my ear has adapted to it, lol. Whether I eat or talk while listening, it just sticks to my sweet spot. The main reason I chose Tea Pro was gaming. And it's been very satisfying. It sounds literally accurate and never misses small footsteps. I also love its sound signature. I'm still trying to figure out the difference between Tea Pro and my previous devices. One thing I felt was that it even changed my sound preference. I liked Kefine Delci more than Ew300 last year. I think I just cared about the quantity of bass, but now I feel differently, I like EW300 more for gaming and its balanced tuning. And, Tea Pro has richer bass, sweeter vocals, and crispy but not fatigueing hat than EW300. It's definitely an upgrade and even the endgame for me. I have actually never searched for another IEMs since Tea Pro. Hope you get my feelings through my bad English and choose well. : )

So looking around, I eventually found Jay's iem rankings and saw that he recommended Simgot ew300 as a beginner set...so I looked at some more reviews, all of them being very positive, so I bought them for 80e. It's hard not to be impressed by the build quality and looks of the EW300. Soundwise, it is a step up from the Zeroes, in term of mids clarity which is enough for me to the justify the purchase. All in all I have been very happy with them. I still think the Zeroes are quite close sound and comfort wise but they are just not as beautiful an object. But, I had to get something better, so I went back to Jay's list. I obviously was not ready to spend 300+e on a pair, so looked at what he had as great value....which led me to the Supermix 4. Here it gets extremelly confusing. I don't like overpowering bass. I want bass extension along with great mid clarity, and so many opinions of the SM4 mentioned how bassy they were, so that put me off and had me looking for an alternative....read some more, confronted them with more expensive alternatives Elysium, Shure s12...then I started to get a sense that a lot of opinions are completely off base and contradictory. Saw some EW300 video reviews that were completely at the opposite of my experience soundwise....After much back and forth, I eventually decided to get the SM4. If Jay's list brought me to the EW300 that I really enjoyed, how could I not like the SM4? Today they arrived.....and oh boy am I disappointed. First thing, the comfort level is terrible, They re quite thick with a short nozzle, therefore they don't fit nicely in my ears like the EW300 do. But what about the sound? First of all, the stock cable they come with is quite thicker than the EW300's which anyone would assume is a sign of greater quality...I put on a first song, and I'm taken aback at how tiny they sound, whereas the EW300 and Zeroes sound expansive. Do they requite burn in? probably but my other iem sounded pretty good right away. Is it the cable? so I exchanged it with the EW300's cable. That improved drastically the sound, making it more open and expansive but still, it didnt sound as good and one question popped up right away....where is all that bass people were talking about? There is no meat on the bones when listening to them. Such a lean sound. The EW300 has a lot more bass without ever being bassy. So, I'm not exactly sure what are all these reviews about.... As for the equipment I used them with. Directly wired to an Audio GD r11 mk2 Dac/preamp/Headphone amp. I also used them wirelessly with a Fiio btr3k bluetooth dac/amp. Anyway, even if they had sounded great, they would have been returned because the comfort is really bad. I guess I'll stick with the EW300 a long long time because I dont see myself spending 500-1000e for a marginally better sound at the probable expense of comfort. These more expensive iems all seem to me to be quite bigger.

I didn’t like supermix 4 at all, i would say nova is a lot better - watch this video to get your answer https://youtu.be/34xo1FCWdKI?si=wRcn0ej6gkFI63X4 If listen to pop, kpop and female vocals then only go with nova. Heyday is good brightish neutral option. Imo get the ew300 hbb as a fun all rounder plus hayday or xuan nv as neutral options this way you will be covered. If you want to buy only one iem that is an all rounder then have a look at pula pa02 or save up and get the Aful performer 5+2 trust me hype is real on the Performer 5+2 it's excellent. https://youtu.be/Rsr27Qpvgk4?si=Pgy812_lII1Tx2Ho If you have any questions or want to ask questions about any other iems you can message anytime would love to help you out.

Ew300 dsp and hbb sound very similar dsp one has ease of use that's it. I recommend them over ea500lm. Ea500lm is too bright. Explorer is bassy and laid back good for long listening sessions. Haven't tried the p50, but if you have the budget man get the Performer 5+2, it's excellent. Watch my review you will get the answer why I like it so much.

The S08s are a less technical IEM so less detail, less precise imaging, all of which is needed for a good gaming IEM. The Simgot EW300 is a good gaming option, it is even available in a USB-C DSP cable version if you don't already have a good audio source.

I have the Arctis Gamebuds and it's fantastic on 2.4ghz. Never bothered to game on BT since latency will always be much lower over 2.4ghz dongle than BT. I've gamed for 6+ hours on my X on AC power and I still had plenty of juice left on the Gamebuds. Sound quality on the Gamebuds is awesome and I just set up the EQ. using my iPhone - the 2.4ghz dongle is configured for 1 EQ (for whatever game I'm playing these days), and BT is set up for another EQ (for music and calls). Plug the dongle into whatever laptop I'm using and it just works, no pairing or config needed. Aside from not having multipoint BT, I really enjoy the Gamebuds and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you're looking for something for gaming and everyday use. If you don't mind going with a wired IEM, it's worth considering the Linsoul SIMGOT EW300 DSP as it comes with a USB C end. And doesn't cost a fortune. Decent sound isolation, but not noise cancelling. can wear them for hours. Upgraded from Linsoul KZ ZS10 Pro which isn't bad but uses a 3.5mm jack and frees up a USB C port. Both have mics as well and work great with iOS, Android, WIndows, MacOS, Bazzite :)

Not super experienced either but the Truthear Hexa is not known for its bass. It has a neutral analytical sound that you might not enjoy. Among what I have tried probably Kefine Delci/EW300 would be safe picks under $100 but I'll let others with more experience chime in:)

Maybe the tuning isnt to your liking. TBH I have the red and it doesn’t get a lot of use, some say it’s great for online gaming. I prefer the hexa a bit more. I got the blue2 recently and that’s a pretty good harman tuning. My main iem i use a lot atm is the simgot ew300 hbb. Pretty great for the price. It has a more planar sound to it though but bass is tight and punchy.

**Brief Review for those who dont want to read the long review** **If you like my review, a subscribe to my [YouTube channel](https://youtube.com/@hokagoteatimereviews) would be a great way of supporting me** The ultimate all rounder iem for under $100? Another long term review bought is here. Hope you like it 🙂 I will mainly speak about the EW300 here briefly - Fantastic comfort, can be worn for hours without much issues - Good option for people with small ears - The added mid-bass is a really nice touch and goes well with more genres - The tuning nozzles actually changes sound rather than being a placebo - The treble is very nicely done, probably the best in a simgot iem? - Good for gaming - Fingerprint magnet and scratches easily - Requires a bit more volume than usual to sound at its best (Its a medium to high volume iem) **Full Review** **Introduction :-** Today it’s a double review. The double trouble! It’s the simgot Ew300 and the SImgot Ew300 Hbb Edition. **I have also shared a video version of the review at [YouTube](https://youtu.be/ySTx_rGAet0) any support there in form of a view, A like or A subscribe is greatly appreciated. But if you so wish to read the written version you can read this** A big thanks to Both Linsoul and Simgot for sending these review unit. Please check below the unaffiliated links to both of them. All the thoughts and opinions you are about to hear are my own. I will be as usual following my bullet style format for better readability for those who are dyslexic and in general find it hard to read long paragraphs. I follow this guide in general from the British Dyslexia Association. Lets get started! **Review :-** 1. The packaging of the EW300 and EW300 HBB is same as you can see on the screen. 2. The price of the Ew300 is $69 and the HBB Edition is $79. I really like the case provided with both of them. Also both of them are really really comfortable and can be easily worn for hours without any issues. There is no sense of driver flex. 3. Both the IEM have 1DD + 1 Planar and 1 Pizeoelectric. Also the Regular the EW300 has this polished metal finish which is a fingerprint magnet and the HBB version has this sandblasted matte black finish. 4. I really like the pricing of the regular version as the price increase is not much when compared to the old EW200 6. It slots right between the old EW200 and the sort of new EA500LM 7. It is also awesome that both includes extra foam and rings. You can use the extra fam to change the sound a bit by stuffing another one of them inside the nozzle of you preferred nozzle colour. 7. Both the Normal and HBB have two nozzles one is gold and other is silver. 8. First I will talk about the Normal one and then I will talk about the HBB edition and say the differences between the normal and HBB edition. 9. I will be using stock setup and for my testing I will mainly talk about the silver nozzle and then the gold nozzle. 10. The overall sound of the EW300 can be described as a U shape. 11. The bass of the EW300 is done exceptionally well! I really like the approach simgot took over here. 12. Sub bass follows sort of the harman level and songs like crack crack crackle by classy has this good rumble and punch and the tactility of the sub bass is also really good. 13. The mid bass to has a nice amount of lift and it glides very well over from the sub bass. 14. When listening to harman set there is lack of mid bass which I do not like for many songs, the EW300 doesn’t have that. It has this nice kick to the mid bass. 15. And just like the sub bass the mid bass is really tactile and sounds very clean and crisp. 16. When listening to the 1985 galactic funk live version of the song, there is a nice guitar riff in the song which sounds a bit lifeless if an iem doesn’t have good mid bass. The EW300 produces it really good and it sounds really enjoyable. 17. Now coming to the male vocals they actually sit really well with the entire mix, but the thick texture of Chris Cornells and Bill withers vocals lacks a bit. 18. These kind of male vocals might sound a bit lifeless and thin and out of character. 19. Female vocals as usual sounds fantastic! Simgot did a bang up job here. 20. They have the right amount of crispness and sharpness and edginess I like from them. Specially if you listen to J-POP 21. They come across really well in normal volumes too, although at higher volumes I think so treble sensitive folks might have some issue with it and might it tad bit pokey. 22. Treble is done really tastefully. I think so they made it very safe here when compared to the previous EW200 or the EA500LM or a typical simgot set. Which is good as I always found them to tad bit spicy. 23. At low to moderate volumes they sound really well controlled and has the right amount of sparkle. 24. Treble has good amount of air too. The overall treble seems quite relaxed yet it performs really well specially at moderate volumes. 25. The soundstage for the price of under $100 is good, the width of soundstage is more than average while the depth sounds a bit lacking. 26. Imaging to is good for the under $100 price point and you can point towards the location when an instrument is playing. And the left to right transition and vice versa is quite good. 27. Now for Gaming these are quite good, although in some situations when there are a lot of gunfires and bombs blasting or a lot is happening specially on the lower end it could sound a bit jumbled up. While the soundstage and imaging is good and gives you a good sense of the game space and the footsteps, the sort of boosted bass might not be best for when a lot is happening. Again this is more than fine for most gaming out there and if you don’t play shooters or FPS this is really good as the added bass works really well. 28. Now talking about the gold nozzle, well what the gold nozzle does is it relaxes the sound even more. It adds a tad bit of sub and mid bass and takes away from the upper mids. It also cuts a bit from the air area of the treble. 29. So what you get is the more bass and less upper mids and also the treble sounds a bit laid back. The sound stage too becomes more cramped, now this could be nice for those who like a more in the ear feeling of the sound. 30. Gold nozzle is good for those who likes very relaxed and warm sound signature, it plays very well Rap, Hip-Hop and Nu metal type of genres. 31. Coming to the HBB edition well what it does is take both the nozzles of the regular EW300 it just makes the treble even more relaxing and cuts even more on the air region. This makes the sound even more warmer and the soundstage sound even more cramped. 32. Who is the HBB edition for, well its for those who like very warm sound signature and listens to track similar to Chris and also you like the more intimate and cramped soundstage. And more importantly if you want to support chris. 33. If you had to ask which I would select between this two. Well I would go with the stock EW300 with the stock silver nozzle. 34. v/s EW200 – The EW300 has more mid bass, better tacticlity of the bass and also more wide soundstage and better imaging. EW300 is clearly better than the EW200 in my book. 35. v/s EA500LM – The EA500LM is a slight step up from the EW300 in all aspects, but the LM can be too bright even for me so a minor mod which I suggested was to use another of the simgot tuning foam to control the harsh treble of the LM. But I find the EW300 much more comfortable than the LM and the more mid bass of the EW300 is something I really like 36. v/s EM6L – The soundstage of the EM6L is still one of the best for around $100 iem, so if your intention is gaming then the Em6L is better and the overall tonality of the EM6L is similar but bit more mature than the EW300. 37. v/s Supermix 4 – Well this was quite surprising, in all aspects the SM4 is better. But the added amount of mid bass for the EW300 is something I really like and feels nice. So I do prefer the EW300 more than the SM4. 38. But ….. there is one major con which the EW300 has. Is that they are sort of moderate volume set. So to earn and understand the full potential of the set you have to crank that volume up a bit. As someone who prefers to listen at low volume I still prefer the SM4 over this. 39. So that is my review of the Simgot EW300 and EW300 HBB, If you have any question please do comment below. **Like and subscribe to my [YouTube Channel](https://youtube.com/@hokagoteatimereviews) is a great way of supporting me as it helps me a lot! Also sorry to those who are used to reading long paragraphs of review in here. I hope my review was upto the mark, I appreciate any feedback. Have a great day ahead, Bye :)

I have the r1 too. I prefer the ew300, but differently their are quite a few unit variations. As many people say that HBB and ew300 sound same while for me and other it was quite different. For me the r1's bass sounds a bit pillowy and bloomy compared to the ew300's. The soundstage on r1 is better in my opinion

well you haven't specified your tastes but I am gonna probably buy the simgot ew300 dsp(or the simgot ea500 dsp) so probably look between them. Simgot are a really trusted brand with a good image so simgot should be safe. I have bought 2 iems before the tangzu waner and the yu xuan ji they both kinda sucked since they don't have bass. These simgots are an all rounder. If you can increase your budget even a little buy the aful explorer. Here are some lists you can use if you want some more info [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zeby9PqsTmHMRQ3D3n5W\_1Gx9aNPPK67yoBl\_FXdaF4/edit?gid=0#gid=0](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zeby9PqsTmHMRQ3D3n5W_1Gx9aNPPK67yoBl_FXdaF4/edit?gid=0#gid=0) [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XQtSH90BGK99Vij3dXcSylfwcut5XerPbkkEksFwATA/edit?gid=0#gid=0](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XQtSH90BGK99Vij3dXcSylfwcut5XerPbkkEksFwATA/edit?gid=0#gid=0) [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZHVib50XFQW4up3SwOZUTbI-hZB6Ir5LX6XnZblIM6o/edit?gid=0#gid=0](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZHVib50XFQW4up3SwOZUTbI-hZB6Ir5LX6XnZblIM6o/edit?gid=0#gid=0) hope this helps

Appreciate the reply, was hoping mb I was doing something wrong or got a dud but will likely have to return them. Less bass would be ok but it’s pretty much nonexistent. I have a pair of xm5s I love and used them with 3.5 connected to controller only hate not having the ability to adjust volume without going into settings on Xbox, same with the ew300. TV volume would only adjust sound bar. Really don’t want to have to get another headset for the Xbox as I rarely use and don’t want more stuff but mb have to.

Aful MagicOne. These are about 70 bucks on AliExpress, probably the best under that sub 100$ price range, though you'll need a good dac, that'll cost you around 25-30 bucks, since these have higher impedance and power requirements. If you don't want to touch the 100$ mark and keep it relatively simple (no hassle of dac, etc) then Simgot Ew300 is a good shout. Apart from that when you access the community page, you'll find the post of list of top 5 IEMS in each category, that'll also help you explore further if you need more than these 2 suggestions.

Simgot ew300. $70 best bang for your buck. Easy to EQ as well so it can fit your music tastes. Disclaimer: gaming with IEMs compared to headphones will sound different than with headphones. Notice how I used the word different and not worse. Headphones have the audio coming from around you, so you can exactly hear when something is coming from your right, above you etc. IEMs sounds come from basically directly inside your skull, so you wont have the soundstage of headphones. Many say its worse, but honestly after you play with IEMs for a bit, you realise the surround sound aspect is just skipped over, like an unnecessary step, and the audio is the same. So if you want IEMs under 100, I would go with ew300. Try them for longer than a week. Dont like em? Just return em.

I just got simgot ew300s and the bass is definitely solid. I like the bass on these much better than the castor bass. they’re about $60 usd. I use the gold nozzle that comes with the pink rubber ring so it lowers treble slightly and gives a bit of a warmer sound. the silver one is nice too but a bit too spicy for me, highs could be a bit much with the silver nozzles. I def recommend them tho cuz they impressed me. my iems before that were moondrop chu 2 and castor bass and they were both solid but the ew300s definitely outperform those two. edit: the ew300s are very similar with iems like the kefine delci and aful explorer. I personally prefer these because of how they look but they all sound very similar. even s12 sounds very similar to these, but those are around $110 and planar. the ew300 has a hybrid three driver setup. it’s up to u to try them and find what you enjoy

I've purchased a couple budget IEMs over the past few months as I introduced myself into this hobby. I started with the 7hz Salnotes Zero, then got the Truthear x Crinacle Zero:Red, and most recently the Simgot EW300 DSP. I have been listening to all kinds of music from various genres (mainly different EDM, rock, and a few others). I have also been using them for gaming as I previously use the Steelseries Arctis Pro. The difference in sound and the shear level of detail I hear in the music is remarkable. I have been trying different ear tips for the EW300 as I find the fit to be not that comfortable compared to even the Zero:Red which I think are quite large for my ears and stick out quite a bit. I love the sound of all of them but the profile for the EW300 is just great. I got into EQ a bit to see what all the hype is about and started AutoEQ to other IEMs I have been interested in. Doing research on everything, it has become quite an obsession I must admit. I understand the graphs and enjoy being able to visualize sound. I'm still learning about DACs and why they are important. I plan in the future to get another IEM that is more economic than the EW300 and have been looking into the ZiiGaat Odyssey as well as the Xenns Mangird Tea Pro. I set my EQ for the EW300 to match the Tea Pro and the sound is just that much better. The bass is clear and punchy and the miss and highs are detailed and accurate. There's not much of a point to this post. I'm not looking for information or suggestions really. Any information is always great, but I more just wanted to say thank you to the entire community for making this hobby one that is enjoyable and easy to get into. It has become my new obsession and I plan to stick with it for as long as I live. Music is my life and without it I'm sure I would be lost in this crazy world.

Honestly they are all good for rock and EDM. Each has its own benefit. I haven't really used the Salnotes zero as much as the others but the zero red definitely has some kick to the bass for EDM which is great. The EW300 is no slouch in the bass department either but I believe the addition of the planar and PZT drivers make the mids and highs a bit more clear and concise which I really enjoy. Especially for drum and bass which needs to have a bit of bass and tremble to sound as good as it should

Sweet thank you! I find the EW300 great for gaming the only thing I notice is that it's hard to pinpoint if someone is at an angle from me. From what I've seen and heard everyone says the soundstage of the Tea Pro is great and really gives those much more accurate positions. I also used to care about quantity of bass but now I realize it's more about how pure the bass sounds. I feel the Tea Pro will be perfect for the things I enjoy just the same as you! Definitely got your feelings and your English is not bad at all. Thanks for the reply!

The same but with 50% L/R isolation. They are not the worst but a budget ones with a different sound assignature like Truthear Gate its a lot better in terms only of imaging and steps. I just bought a few minutes the simgot ew300 tomorrow I will leave feedback here with the comparison to Gate if the improve of imaging was good enough to spend the money.

I agree - especially in the EW300 vs SuperMix4 comparison. The EW300 with bronze nozzles is a very "crowd pleasing" tuning, and the resolution is something special, imo. So - the "roughly $80usd" recommendation is basically shared between the "correct" Truthear Hexa and "fun" Simgot EW300.

I own both, and like both, but I'd recommend the EW300 as they are more all rounders and have 2 tuning options with the changeable nozzles. The Hexa is great, but lacks bass and is a brighter leaning IEM. Therefore I only use it for certain genres. The EW300 on the other hand is very versatile and works with pretty much every genre of music.

I would watch this video by Jay, I trust his ears very much. https://youtu.be/XclO362Ll_U?si=_ZiYp5rR-UoYzABQ I think you would enjoy Aful Explorer $95, Ziigaat Odyssey $230 or Simgot EW300 $70. They are very smooth but quite airy and with a good healthy bass foundation. It's very unlikely they should tire your ears too. The first two are actually tuned to be listened to at high volume. The Odyssey is definitely the best out of those three, which makes sense given the price.

Analogue 3.5mm version is more dynamic and more exciting, while the DSP version is smoother and cleaner. If you choose DSP version, you'll be locked with that level of performance. That can be fine though, if you are looking to get the most for your money and don't plan on upgrading your source.

For what you are looking to power you will not notice a difference. However something to realize with some of these (KZ in particular) is the length of the pins. Most IEMs are .78mm but the KZ are .75mm. That little bit of difference, I have read, can cause issue with some. I just got the Fiio UTWS5 2025 for Xmas and love them. My only gripe is that the volume control doesn’t actually control the volume on your listening device (for me my iPhone) instead it controls the volume of the IEMs through the Fiio app. Outside that, they sound incredible with my Simgot EW300 x HBBs.

I absolutely love my ew300, had them a couple days now. They're a bigger departure from the ew200 than I expected though. Far bassier  I'm currently comparing them to my Porta Pro and they feel to have an extremely similar tuning. But the ew300 sound a lot higher quality (which you'd expect from an IEM these days, their value really is impressive)

Funnily enough I thought I felt that way. I've had the KZ ZS10 Pro X, Simgot ew200 and ew300 and sold them all because I thought the treble was too much for me.  But I've just bought the NiceHCK E2BS Pro (chifi naming makes me want to kill myself) flathead earbuds and I'd say they're even brighter, but I love them.  I feel like a lot of people possibly just don't like that brightness in an IEM. I feel like it's uncomfortable having that much 'noise' trapped in your ear. But open-back earbuds fix that with being so well, open

Heyo OP sorry for wall of text, I dont want create new post because its standard "gaming question" TLDR at bottom also wanna say thanks for all of your guide posts, some of your warn giving me deeper search into local facebook community and saw peoples having problem with those :( Is it bad if I blind buy based on reviews, price (discount) and tier list from FRS aslong the nozzle not too big but its newly released so not many known QC problem? I'm from SEA region, the prices a bit higher than MSRP due tax unless its older item or the store (Pre)Order a lot when discount on Linsoul or Ali and my budget is max $100 usd, first I was searching for IEM under $20 but after reading more the budget increased due people recommendations. I was using hyperx cloud kingston then HP version, due earpad peeling off I'm searching alternative and saw IEMs. I'm going to used it for gaming (80%) genre fps and action rpg like upcoming PoE2, music (10%) genre pop and OST then watching anime (10%) weekly genre shonen or seinen; based on what I read so far my choice are : 1. Kefine Delci AE ($85 discount today, normally $94 but only 3 stock left) 2. Simgot EW300 DSP ($73, one of overhyped brand in my country) 3. Kefine Klean ($53) 4. 7hz Sonus ($40) I was thinking interchangeable nozzle seems good for me because it has 2 signature profile. TLDR : Budget max $100 for gaming, should I buy the most expensive one from my list? Or wait another cheaper batch new IEM like 7hz G1? Thanks for reading.

Tell whoever told you s12 has weird bass that it is actually the most textured low end you can find under 300€, hands down. With EQ you can basically turn this beast into any tuning you want, with great chops to boot. Anyway, my recommendation under 100 would be Moondrop May or Ew300 dsp.

Yes, sadly even the ew300. Objectively it is well tuned no doubt. I bought the dsp version, tried both with and without dsp, tinkered with nozzles, foams, whatnot. I even tried Kato nozzles. There's this "glare", it's obviously there and annoys me. The fit was also a concern. I have Dumbo ears, they just don't fit well, I found them too heavy and small ( the ea500 was much better in this regard). Despite this, I still recommend the ew300 dsp to whomever is starting the hobby, under 100 euros.

I mean if you really want to take it competitively, headphones always beat out the IEMs. The simgot supermix 4 are pretty similar to the EW300 with more treble (which is what footsteps have a lot of) and a pretty safe tuning. Not the greatest bass, but maybe some EQ and certain eartips would make up for that. I play a lot of fps games, cs2 and val included and did not enjoy the ew300 but really like the super mix 4. A lot of people also swear by the EM6L for shooters

Bought the EW300 on sale. After two weeks of using, here are my experience; First time using it(Silver Nozzle), the signature felt so bad for me.(to express my disappointment, I made a consideration for hours to sell it lmao) Then I change to Gold nozzle+inserted foam, it feels more pleasant. But something's not enough. Btw, EW300 sounds a bit metallic/thinner than Castor Bass, is that normal? After some time, I realized that HiBy W3 II built-in EQ doesn't work well with my Windows laptop.(works fine with my phone, not sure with other phones) Then I installed Equalizer APO on my laptop, it's such a massive game changer. I'm able to juice out some frequencies and suit it to my liking. After EQ'ed, I returned to Silver nozzle to get back some of the reduced treble. Now I'm really happy with my EW300. Anyways, I wonder if it's possible to get a noticeable/significant upgrade from EW300? Something that is more fuller/immersive, having a great bass alongside great clarity/detail retrieval without sibilance, and without drowning the male low growl voice. Also can handle EQ properly, in-case if the signature doesn't work on me(But if the default already met my taste by based on this experience, its okay) Side Note: \-EW300's eartips doesn't work well with my ear, using KZ EDX's instead. \-Included my EQ for upgrade recommendation reference https://preview.redd.it/ujou4wlno0ne1.png?width=1246&format=png&auto=webp&s=100fd5ef0352c64a973690681a039bd9852a3ac4

I’m a bit skeptical of tier lists. For instance here I’d say em6ls and EW300s are underrated. And your mileage will vary greatly if you don’t use a dongle for some of these because motherboard audio can make some sound horrible. Especially planars or even the Zeros.  The main thing is the bang for the buck. You can get great IEMs for a low price that will compete with much higher priced headphones. Imaging has more to do with the sound design of the game than anything else.

well, ew300 has less intense treble than the ew200, it still is very good technical-wise but that extra treble might also help with the spacious sound in the ew200, so ew300 might not sound that more open, but will perform better overall, do take that in mind.

Finally, after so much corrections and problems, I can post my next list, I’m sorry for coming this late though, I hope people still finds it useful, this time, I came with options ranging from around $110 dollars (counting in discounts) down to $60 for those looking for a little more advanced options, either to make an upgrade to your cheaper IEMs, or to get started in the hobby, in any case, you are welcome.   Unlike the first list, this time I won't detail so many things before listing options, if you want to know about where to possibly buy IEMs safely, which reviewers to check on YouTube for second opinions, and even understand a bit more of the terminologies used in the “audiophile lingo”, please check out the Sub $50 list, this one has two parts and explains a lot of this already.   \---------- # PLEASE DO TAKE IN MIND: That I’m just a single person doing this compilation of information, this list is based off the general impressions of various trustworthy reviewers on these iems. This is **NOT** a ranking list, this **NOT** my personal best picks, and I do **NOT** own all of the iems on the list. This IS just a list for you to have alternatives to pick of fairly recent, good, safe-ish iems to pick from.   There is so much a single person can do, so, **if you see any glaring error** with the description of any iem, or if you think there is any model left out that should be on this list, **please do let me know**, remember that this list only goes up to $110 because it will drop down to under $100 often on discounts, please do not mention iems over $110 or under $60.   Here, before I start, I'm just going to make some specific clarifications that people should keep in mind when looking to buy any IEM in this price range. Do consider that **I’m being very superficial here**, this is **not** full audio engineer knowledge being explained in a simplistic way, rather, this is more like **summarized general concepts** to help people grasp basic ideas that they could need to know when entering the hobby. \---------- ***Over-reach Update:*** Per request of various people in the post, I will be adding iems around $120-$130 to consider grabbing if you see it below $100. # Gaming Update: As quite a lot of people have been asking for gaming options, ill make this update marking iems with performance rakings from the "WALLHACK CERTIFIED IEM TIER LIST" of Reviwer Fresh Reviews, who is pretty well known for recomending iems for gaming use, just be aware that this does not reflect my opinion about each IEM nor does it ensure that you will have an excellent video game experience just because its listed. The Fresh Reviews system gives letter grades where “S” is the best grade, going down from S-A to C+, where C+ means that they are the minimum sufficient to be able to play video games with. The way I will mark it would be putting the score besides the name "(with FRS: “Mark obtained”)" (FRS = Fresh Reviews Score), example: Truthear Zero Red (FRS: C+), if you don't see this mark, it means that either Fresh Reviews did not consider it good for gaming, or did not review the product. \---------- # Relevant clarifications:  **---** * **“Hybrid IEMs = Better?”** A constant question you see these days is “are more drivers better than one?” and the answer is always: in budget price ranges? absolutely not, especially under $100. What mostly dictates the sound quality and technicality of a headphone is the quality of the driver(s) used, it doesn't matter if an earphone has 20 drivers per side at this price range, if another company is selling you one with only 1 driver, and people say it's good, that's because it usually is, the amount of drivers in lower price ranges means almost nothing, there may be extra benefits of having more drivers, but those benefits are not a “game changer” in this price range, pick based on performance, use case and sound preference, not on driver config…UNLESS you dislike the way that one specific type of driver produces sound..  \--- * **“What’s a Planar?”** IEMs that only use planar drivers are a special thing because usually drivers of this type offer very good and balanced technicalities in general at this price range, you know: separation, detail, resolution, soundstage, and all those terms you have heard. What happens is that most of these drivers also have some disadvantages that pay in return for the techs, among them the most common ones are: * That some people consider that the noise they produce in vocals and treble sounds somewhat “metallic”, which can be annoying or distracting. * \- * The second problem is that usually planar drivers, at least in this price range, do not have the most textured or impactful bass, they may have good bass presence and rumble, but they usually do not get to be as intense and feel as physical as a good dynamic driver can. * \- * And finally, planar drivers usually require a decent amount of amplification from a DAC to perform to the best of their capabilities, if you plan on choosing a full planar IEM, you really, ideally, should be running them with a DAC, unlike other driver types or even hybrid configurations at this price range, a planar IEM can exhibit noticeable changes in sound and performance when not properly amplified, especially reducing their overall technicalities and sounding less clean than they should. IF YOU CAN, hook them to a good dongle DAC with a 4.4mm cable for the best amplification possible. That's why, when I say that a planar will need “good application”, I mean that you'll probably want to use something more than the typical apple dongle recommendation to move a planar earphone, mostly just to make sure you are powering them correctly.  \--- * **“Should I get a dongle DAC?”** And the last point, although speaking of amplification again, above $50 you really should start considering getting a dongle DAC for your IEMs, because, while even at this price point, most iems could work pretty fine without it, you could likely end up leaving some performance “on the table” if they are underpowered. It is not obligatory for you to get one, specially if you dont get a planar, but also don’t be surprised if your iems doesn’t give you enough volume or if your new iems doesn’t seem to perform as great as most people say, you don’t need anything too fancy, just try a basic dongle dac in the $15-$40 price range, the normal cheap rec is the Apple dongle (US version), but you can always get something a bit more durable, and then judge your experience based on it. And if it’s possible to you, specially with planars, using a 4.4mm cable (on a compatible DAC) to get the most energy out of your dac will ensure that your iems aren’t under-amplified in most cases, is not a must in any way, shape of form, but you could try it if you can (but please, just dont use 3.5mm to 4.4mm adapters as those could damage some of your equipment if they are made improperly). By the way, the reason why i recommend a 4.4mm is because you can easily get more energy out of your same dac (if it has both conections, of course) using a 4.4mm vs the 3.5mm on the same DAC, you can always, get a very decent 3.5mm DAC too.   \---------- # SUB $100 IEM MEGA PICK LIST: (This list now cover iems mostly\* down from $60 up to $100, with some extra options that could be around $120, but that could be picked below $100 if on sale, please take that in mind. Should Work for gaming, although bass could be a bit too distracting for competitive. Also, the bass is not super powerful, as it is more of a relaxed set, so don’t get it just for the amount of bass it has, but also for the style of sound. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqvuzOT)  \----- * ***($75) Kefine Delci/AE (AE FRS: B):*** A pretty good bass leaning iem, some consider it the step up from the BLON BL03, as it manages to have great bass qualities while still presenting nice enough vocals and detailed treble. There is some warmness in vocals, not the cleanest sound from the price range, but it makes for a more relaxed and bassy listening experience, that manages to be engaging when it needs to be, especially with the pretty thumpy and rumbly bass. Vocals are natural enough despite the extra warmness, just not the main focus of the iem. The treble is on the energetic side, but not too intense that it makes it a V-shape. Technicalities are fine for the price range, but the bassy sound just makes it a not so “clear” sounding iem, a better if you are into bassy stuff. If you would like the performance of the Delci for bass, but also would like to be able to use it for gaming, check the Delci AE with the interchangable nozzles for 2 tunings and more versatile usage. Not a common recommendation for gaming, at least not for competitive gaming. But the usual bassy recommendation under $100. It comes with 3 different tuning nozzles, so check each one, but most people likes the green or red ones. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mMYoBHt)  \----- * ***($99) Letshuoer S08 (FRS: B-):*** Bassy focused approach to a planar iem, nice rumbly bass, although not the most physical or hard hitting one since it’s a planar, but it definitely does a better job with the bass than other planars around this price point, it still shares all those great technicalities of planars under $100, but also still requires good amplification, that said, it is slightly less "power hungry" than other planars in the list, so an “apple dongle” type of dongle might be just enough, but if you can get something better, could be the better option. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mL3X5zv)  \----- * ***($120) Aful Explorer:*** Warm-bassy, Inmersive IEM. The bass is rumbly, thick, with body, but its not on the intense/super punchy side, sub-bass over mid-bass approach. Vocals are on the clean side, with some Energy, but not pushed as foward as on balanced sets, not that natural in the upper vocals though. The treble is enough, smooth and detailed, but is not that detailed or open feeling, safer relaxed treble over detailed and clear sound. Technicalities overall are good for the elevated price. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mNhhRI3) \----- * ***($126) CCA Hydro:*** V-shaped, clean-cut Harman style bass, energetic IEM. The direct step-up all the way down from the Castor Bass and the CCA Rhapsody. The bass sacrificies a little bit the amount for extra quality: control, tactile thumpy punch and clean deep rumble, still giving good body to deep male vocals with minimal "bload", you can always boost it up a bit with the tuning switches though. Vocals mamage to be correct and Somewhat natural and detailed, they pop out enough and dont get as thin as other V-shaped iems. Treble is on the energetic side, maybe could be borderline too intense for some, but it also manages to give nice detail while not being too aggressive with it, be aware if you are sensitive to treble tho, this time, the bass cant be boosted too much with the switches to balance things out, also, the sound of the treble could come as a bit "metallic" for some thanks to the driver config. Technicalities are decent but stock price is a bit too high. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mPV3RvZ)   \---------- # BALANCED/NEUTRAL IEMs. Here you will find anything with just enough of both bass and treble for your music needs, some might lean a bit into the bass, others might have some extra treble, but the lean is not big enough to call it bassy or bright. **NOT VERYTHING IN HERE IS “NEUTRAL"**.  \----- * ***($80)*** [***Dunu Titan S2***](https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/comments/1h8nzjb/the_rekindled_spark_dunu_titan_s2_review/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) ***(FRS: C+):*** A mild V-Shaped balanced iem with an edge on vocals, specially female vocals, pretty engaging energy, it uses some extra bass and treble to balance things out compared to the original Titan. The bass is pretty rich and clean, but it also loses a bit of body on male vocals vs the OG Titan, still warm, just not the same focus, it has good punch to it and decent rumble, with focus on the mid-bass but not too boosted over sub-bass, and has decent texture, overall great bass quality. The vocals, because of the V-shaped style, do sound slightly less natural than on the OG, but they aren’t as recessed as other V-shape sets. The treble quality is good but could come as a bit too forward in some cases, so it can be a bit fatiguing for some, especially for people sensitive to treble. Technical performance is great overall, above average, good detail retrieval, some say that it could almost compete with planars. but the soundstage is not as big as other options, in resolution is competing with benchmark iems like hexa. Should work for gaming. It also should work well for Rock music genres, even with busy tracks. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOdiyY7)  \----- * ***($70-$80) Simgot EW300 (Comes with Type-C/DSP option) (FRS: C+):*** A balanced yet energetic iem that breaks with the “Simgot has peaky treble” tradition. Nice allrounder sound, punchy bass, good decently natural vocals, enough treble presence, and good technicalities for the price. A warning is that the iem could feel a bit heavy resting on the ears for some. Should work for gaming. This one comes in 3 versions: Normal, HBB and DSP - They are all almost the same, just pick based on connection necessities, price and looks (sound is just barely different that it could be just unit variance as well – in the words of some reviewers). Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mskLcPh)  \----- * ***($90) Simgot EA500LM (FRS: C+):*** Balanced, Neutral leaning, yet V-shaped sound, still the treble could be a bit too much for some, but it’s very well controlled compared to other options from Simgot. Bass has good texture and quality, and it’s more boosted than in the EA500 so it balances the sound more, it is not too boosted still, so with presence but not the main focus. Vocals are good, correct and natural, but also forward and energetic. The treble has also presence, but not too much; in reference to vocals and bass, is not as extra boosted for the V-shaped kind of sound. Some people consider it detailed and smooth, but others still can find them a bit too intense, so, again, a warning for treble sensitive people. All in all, works like a more energetic Titan S2, with also great technical performance, slightly above average, it favors a nice and natural kind of performance rather than ultra-wide soundstage and very obvious detail retrieval, still resolution is pretty good for the price, fighting above its price range with the Hexa and the S2. It comes with interchangeable nozzles, try them all, but most people seem to like the gold and red nozzles better. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqBqcnt)  \----- * ***($90) Moondrop Aria 2:*** A pretty balanced, natural, good performing IEM that remembers a bit the sound of the Tangzu Waner, just overall cleaner, and with very upgraded technicalities according to its price range, very safe sound with just enough of everything in punchy bass, natural vocals and detailed treble, plus an average overall technical performance for the price. Should work for gaming. If you don’t know what to pick, this is your best starting point. Several people, however, do not like that the build quality is not that excellent, especially the paint scratches easily and moondrop as a brand sometimes does not have the best quality control. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOIoiwJ)  \----- * ***($80) Truthear Hexa:*** A balanced, neutral leaning iem with a sub-bass boost. Is a set that focuses ln detail and performance, a somewhat clinical sound that might not be too engaging for some, but excellent technicalities for the price. Bass is decent and detailed, but the small amount of mid-bass could be too little for a fair amount of people. The vocals are nice and natural, but also not that energetic, and the treble is mostly detailed and controlled, with maybe some slightly too boosted areas in the lower treble, so, because of the small amount of warmness in the bass, some people can find the Hexa a bit bright sounding (sound leaning into the treble), with some female vocal energy being also pushed forward, if you are sensitive to treble is not the safest pick. Be aware that the nozzle is quite large, so comfort might not be that great for some, Woks pretty well for gaming, as this is usually the technical benchmark to beat under $100. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mt0zJjz)  \----- * ***($80) Tangzu XuanNV (FRS: B-):*** A vocal forward, slightly warm sounding iem, good bass dynamics but not the main focus, a bit extra boosted on the upper mids (female vocals lean), but most people consider them smooth and not fatiguing. Treble is there and has enough detail but is nothing too impressive. Just a very nice, pretty safe sound. Average technicalities for the price. Be aware that they need some good amplification to work the best. Nozzle leans to the large side but doesn’t seem to have much fit problems for people. It’s a pretty safe pick if you don’t know what to pick, but you know you like vocals. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_m0DwmLZ)  \----- * ***($110) Kefine Klanar:*** Pretty detailed balanced (borderline U-shaped) iem that leans a bit to the bass, so plenty Energy on bass and treble too but nothing too much, although vocals could feel slightly on the background for some people, it has just enough energy there, so vocals don’t thin out. It’s a planar so great technicalities, plenty detail and clean bass, but will need some extra energy to perform to the best of its capabilities, and bass probably is not going to be the punchiest, since it’s a planar iem; I should also mention that the treble could be borderline too energetic for very sensitive people. This one is considered a cheaper Letshuoer Z12/S12 pro. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mMIgDej)  \----- * ***($100) NiceHCK F1 Pro:*** Pretty similar to the Klanar, kinda balanced, but this planar leans some more into the vocals and treble over bass, with a good but controlled amount of bass, plus some crisp highs, not recommended for people sensitive to treble. It might be the closest one to the sound of the Letshuoer S12 tuning, with even slightly less bass. Being a planar, will have great overall technical performance, clean sound, and should work for gaming. Will need good amplification as most planars do. And the bass on planar, like this one, will not be the strongest or physical one. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mP9caUx)  \----- * ***($70) Artti T10:*** A very affordable balanced planar, it has a decent boost on the sub-bass for some rumble, clean mid-range and nuanced enough treble that is sparkly but can be a bit too intense for some people (similar to simgot models). It’s supposed to have the same driver tech as more expensive iems like the Letshuoer S12, so, if you don’t mind the basic build quality, it’s a very good, technically competent, cheap alternative, although it might just had some more Sub-bass and less treble than the S12. It does also need some good amplification as with the other planars, ideally a 4.4mm power output. Should work for gaming. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mOJiup9)  \----- * ***($110) Simgot EM6L (FRS: B/B-):*** V-shaped Neutral, somewhat bright leaning iem. Bass is there, it warms the sound, but for the price is nothing impressive, not as clean as other options and it could feel like somewhat soft or not that texturized/punchy, under $100 other picks have some better quality, it’s just decent enough. The vocals are forward, clear but not as clean, not that natural, even a bit on the warm side of sound, so with body, especially male vocals, but that can play against female vocals. The treble is forward in the sound, with maybe a bit too much energy, but that manages to not be super aggressive, some consider it pretty smooth actually, so you will hear it, but you might not “feel” it as much, it do adds a lot of detail and helps with the openness of the sound. Technical performance is where this iem is notorious, while the soundstage is not the best, the tuning paired with the overall good-for-the-price technicalities, helps a lot for uses like gaming, usually considered the default best budget gaming pick around this price range. For music is just not going to be the most technical or detailed listening, just be aware that people very sensitive to treble could still find it a bit too much. **Some people have had the nozzle or filters of the iem falling off, usually fixed by glueing them back on, but you should know this info.** Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mqM2p3z)  \----- * ***($65) Moondrop May (Comes with Type-C/DSP only):*** A soft V-shaped iem, with good technicalities for the price. The whole point of them is to be used with the DSP cable and the Moondrop app to personalize the tuning with sound pre-sets or a bit of EQ. Also works fine with a 3.5mm Jack with the stock soft V-shape sound, but you will have to provide the cable. Should work for gaming. Bass is decent in quality, but the quantity is around what most balanced neutral iems have, maybe even a bit extra boosted on top, and it focuses on mid-bass over sub-bass. The treble is quite well controlled and not that pushed foward, its smooth and precise but could lack some sparkle for some, vocals are very nice, very clean and natural, being the main focus as said earlier. Resolution and overall technicalities are good, resolution is the strongest part since it was above average when first launched, but somewhat average nowadays, the rest of the techs are just fine for the price, the S2 does present an overall decent technical upgrade over the original Titan. As a warning, the nozzle fits a bit deeper than other iems, so do expect the extra reach inside your ear. Should work for gaming, but I wouldn’t recommend it because of mid-range focus, ir could be a good vocal upgrade from Waner. Check it out here: [AliExpress.](https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mM6hN4B)  \----- * ***($89) Kiwi Ears Canta:*** Energetic and balanced Vocal focused iem with some bright leaning to it. The bass is a kind of a V-shape approach, where the focus is more on a nice bass punch rather than sub-bass rumble, however, because of the treble, the nice bass qualities would not be as apparent, it is not the focus of the sound but is there and does a very good job. The vocals are very clear, detailed, clean, but also very forward, it could even get a bit sibilant or shouty for some tracks, so this is an energetic kind of tuning, more of a “W” shape than a “V”. The treble has presence, clarity and detail, but it can get unnatural thanks to the extra emphasis, although is not that aggressive. The tuning does make for a wide soundstage, but overall technical performance is just slightly above average, with an edge on separation and detail, at the cost of the intense sound. The EW300 is a more relaxed, balanced version of this one. Despite the technical performance though, doesn’t seem like the best pick for gaming. Bass is impactful, has a decent amount of rumble but it’s a clear mid-bass over sub-bass kind of sound, gets the job done but is not the most texturized or detailed bass. The vocals are a bit warm, mostly the male ones, so it has nice body to it, while managing some cleanness with the bass, is not the most natural, but is also not as thin, muddy or as unnatural as other similar sets can get, the area of female vocals is pretty forward, most people didn’t find it shouty, but it has the potential to be, at least for very sensitive people. The treble has presence, it brings good detail to the sound, but it manages to not be too intense or sibilant, just energetic enough. Technicalities are pretty good for the price, with some extra detail on top thanks to the mentioned treble style. It should be able to manage rock music even with busy tracks. Should work for gaming. Bass is not the most Detail, punchy or rumbly, is overall a bit too smooth, but also pretty relaxed. The vocals are nice and natural-ish, but there is warmness from the bass, not the cleanest typw of sound, but it plays into the relaxed balanced sound. Trebel is smooth but detailed, not underboosted, foward enough to balance things out. An interesting, relaxed pick if you dont want going for bassy stuff like the Fudu. The mids are natural, clear, clean but with body, transparent-like, excellent timbre, nothing shouty. Treble is clear, foward thanks to the reduced bass, detailed but very well controlled, pretty smooth. A clean, neutral and natural sound, with a lean into the vocals and treble. Good but controlled bass, with decent quality in the hit and a boosted sub-bass rumble. Treble is nice and detailed, but not that bright, not that boosted. The biggest downside is the hybrid driver configuration which some people say is not totally cohesive, like there is a small separation between bass and the rest of the sound, but not a deal breaker for most people. Just watch out that for some it could some a bit Shouty on the vocals. Considering the cheaper price on the list, the overall technicalities are above average for the price, or on average with some more expensive iems in this list. Technicalities are just decent for the price. This iem is for people that like bright sound without overlooking the bass, a possible upgrade path from the Ziigaat Nuo. Well, the thing thing that most people care a lot for Is usually the tuning because thats what more or less will be the most relevant part if it for how you enjoy it. And as for your budget, likely something like the simgot EW300 would be a great starting point for you, and thats what i would recomend. it has 3 different versions but the only differences are color and the "DSP" version comes with a type-c conection cable, while the other 2 are 3.5 audio jack (the normal audio conection that a lot of phones dont have nowadays). A lot of people would recomend the DSP versión because is like having a dongle DAC Which will ensure the best experience out of your devices, but you could check about DACs and get a dongle dac on your own, specially if you dont have a 3.5mm Jack on your phone.

EW300 DSP for 60 is adequate first item. The DSP (type-c) version gives you variety when swapping out the cable for 3.5mm one + it comes with Nozzle tuning options

I'm not helping with this comment. With the disclaimer out of the way, I have both SM4 and EW300 DSP. For a while the EW300 was my go to for anything with a USB-C port, they're comfy enough and I have no complaints about the sound quality, plus they're dirt cheap. Right now they're with my fiancé and I think she won't give them back. SM4 is in my pocket/backpack basically all the time, I take it out several times per day while in a taxi or a supermarket so I don't have to listen the the fucking Christmas/Chinese New Year music. It's accompanied by KA13 because it neatly fits in the case that comes with the IEM. I find them VERY comfortable. If you can demo both sets somewhere and see what works for you, that's probably the best way to decide. Or just use Amazon, if you live somewhere with consumer rights, and return the one you don't like.

This might be a good steamdeck or gaming laptop companion. I have the ew300 dsp or AR5000 paired with mine mostly, and have other options so I probably won’t be getting this. It’s still cool though, and the game specific profiles could be nice if done right. I’m more of a single player gamer, so I’m fine with what I have.

I have the Cadenza's and they are very nice comfy iems both fit-wise and sound-wise! However, they're not exactly neutral since they have an elevated high region as well as a lowered mids region. However however, they are still an absolute joy to use for music and can also be EQ'd very well to be more neutral (and more enjoyable for me). I used Squiglink to compare it's frequency response to the Kiwi Ears KE4 (cool neutral "meta tune" iem) and did auto-EQ to get values for a parametric EQ (which i used on Equalizer APO and the Peace UI on windows, it lets you change gain and Q value for specific frequencies!). Alternatively, for android because it is good enough, the generic slider: 63: +1 dB ### 125: -1 ### 250: 0 ### 500: +2 ### 1k: 0 ### 2k: -2 ### 4k: -2 ### 8k: 0 ### 16k: 0 (### just for formatting to make them easier to read cuz mobile formatting idk :)). The only other iems i know are: 7Hz Zero 2: a pretty good budget neutral option actually! Just too bass-boosted for me so it is unpleasant to use for a long while (7Hz Zero 1 as a less bassy version?). I absolutely hate how it fits though because it has a large-ish blocky shell and short nozzles, so it doesn't feel like they insert properly. Also, it somehow does feel more boring to listen to vs my other "neutral" iems. Tangzu Wan'er Studio Edition: idk how they compare to the normal ones, but they are also a good budget neutral but without the bass boost of the Zero 2! I also hate their fit for the same reason though. Edit: I tried the Wan'er SE's again recently and I do love their tuning a lot actually! Like my EQ'd Cadenza's but less bass so it also sounds cleaner. --- but the Cadenzas are still better overall >:D. Also, the fit isn't bad though, it just takes more effort to make it good, whereas the Cadenzas are effortless to insert properly :) Simgot EW300: a bit pricier, but basically has the same-ish sound as the Cadenza's but with all the other technical parts of the sound being better! Also comes with different nozzles and foams to adjust the sound further, so I used one foam in each nozzle to reduce the treble a bit (tuning is like my EQ'd Cadenza's now) and now its perfect for me :) I also heard the Simgot EW200 would be a good option, but they're especially bright sounding

I feel like a big thing for fit is also how the nozzle is angled when protruding out from the iem shell, and how much it protrudes out by. I had the zero:2 and tangzu wan'er studio edition and their nozzles both were short and at a 90 degree angle to the body, which made it hard for me to consistently get a good fit and seal with them both. Eventually, even if I got a good seal with them by angling them in my ear in a slightly awkward way, I got headaches or a sore ear from wearing them. I now mainly use the Kiwi Ears Cadenza and Simgot EW300 and the both of them have nozzles that protrude out further and are also angled a bit too. With these, its super easy to get a nice fit (with the right tips, especially on the cadenzas because their stock tips were not good for me) and they fit so snugly and without any discomfort. It could also be that they have small shells too though, so they can actually reach my ear canals properly.

Hello! I have returned and now with my simgot ew300's :) For a quicker summary, skip to the last two paragraphs before the final one :D Also, I'll add that I use all my iems with TRI Clarion tips since they feel like they improve clarity of all sounds, including the bass, without taking away from the bass still. I've only used the ew300's a little bit for like a day so far, but I think initial impressions of them are that they sound very full and weighty in every aspect of sound vs my Cadenzas or Wan'er studios. Its literally the great sub bass and thick, warm bassy (but inportantly not a boosted boomy) sound of the Cadenzas, but with the clarity, separation, and detail in the bass, mids, and highs as the Wan'er studios. I'd say they for sure sound a lot more complete overall and are much more satisfying to use for music. I think I'd also describe the tuning as neutral with a slight emphasis on bass (literally sounds the same as my Wan'er studios just with the deep bass of the Cadenzas!). I haven't tried them much in games yet because school, but from what I tried, the very deep bass made things feel very impactful and immersive, and the detail retrieval in all aspects of sound is also good enough that it made hearing and identifying small sounds easy. Also, I can't really tell much of a difference for soundstage vs the Wan'er studios, but imaging does feel more accurate an natural, probably since I feel like it has clearer separation between sounds, making it easier to place them in 3d space. I think it might not be worth getting solely for trying to improve in competitive games since the Wan'er seems to be just fine, but I think it is a fun improvement. Overall, the improvement wasn't noticeably huge (almost kind of underwhelming), until I went back to trying my cheaper pairs. But after trying my other pairs, it really did feel like I could tell that the ew300 was just a much more complete package. It just did everything very well. My Cadenzas and Wan'er studios felt like they were mainly focussed at being good at one aspect (warm, natural, deep sub bass for Cadenzas, and neutral sound with good details and a somewhat airy (but thin) sound that was ideal for hearing things for the Wan'er studios). Still, I'd say that it is not necessary to spend the money to upgrade from the Wan'ers to something like this since the experience is better, but I would've definitely been 100% happy even sticking with the two iems I already had. It was not enough to immediately make me say "wow", even after using it for a while, but I still think it was a noticable and satisfying improvement to be able to get basically everything you'd want in one iem. If you have the money to spend and are willing to spend it, why not! Its a fun step up and a good experience then! Otherwise, the cheap iems are highly recommended for a reason - they can give you most of the experience for relatively little money. Also, some stuff on the Cadenzas in general because you mentioned it. I love them for listening to music with because they feel like they have such a natural, comfy sound with how the deep, powerful sub bass works with everything else. Also, with its tuning being a warm V-shape (focus on bass and highs, has quieter mids), it is easy to turn up the volume to get a really impactful sound without feeling too overwhelmed at times. Even my Wan'er studios get very fatiguing after longer periods because you can hear so much more from them. I can't compare the sound to the original Wan'er because I've never tried them, but vs the studios, the Cadenzas have a much thicker sound as if they came from some big speakers. The main downsides to the Cadenzas though are that they do have a narrow soundstage and poorer separation of sounds, so the listening experience isn't very expansive. However, that combined with the recessed mids from the V-shape make it very comfy to listen to still, and the great bass still feels immersive. However however, the V-shape with the recessed mids also make it awful for competitive gaming in my opinion since many sounds in that region will just be so quiet. Also final thing for fun, when I compared my Cadenzas, EW300, and Wan'er studios listening to "End of Line" from the Tron Legacy soundtrack by Daft Punk, there is this one super bassy synth that comes in around 0:30. On the Wan'er studios (keep in mind, less bassy vs original), they sounded bassy and were good. However, with the Cadenza and ew300, they actually FELT and like a bassy sound and gave me goosebumps when I heard it the first time with them. That is all from my enormous comment! Enjoy!

Have you tried using the gold nozzles? They're supposed to be bassier and also have a tamer treble, but i've eventually come to prefer it's tune significantly more since it sounds much more natural than the default silver nozzles, which to me sound cold, lifeless, and empty but with a bunch of bass. As a result, while the bass with the gold nozzle is more present, it feels to me like it doesn't overwhelm the other sounds as much and thus is significantly more pleasant to listen to music with. Also other fun side note, i originally had a 7hz zero 2, but to me, it was too bassy and made it harder to hear the higher notes clearly. The EW300 with gold nozzle sounds similar in tuning, but it is a whole lot more resolving and thus doesn't sound as bad! :D

Agreed. I also suggest you stay away from the Chu 2 because most IEM manufacturers have surpassed Moondrop in the sub-$100 category. The industry has sort of passed by Moondrop except for the Blessing 3, Kato and Variations. There are better IEMs than those models at the same price point, but at least those three are somewhat competitive. The Aria and Starfield used to be default recommendations for under $110. The Aria 2 is nothing special, and the Starfield 2 is trash. I've heard the May is pretty good if you're interested in DSP. But I would still buy the new Simgot EW300 DSP over the May if I wanted DSP. You can do a hell of a lot better than Moondrop in August 2024.

I'm a decades long audiophile, and my final home stereo/surround system includes an Audio Research all tube amp, Audible Illusions preamp, and Mirage M3 chin high speakers. A high end Lexicon surround processor feeds the side and rear speakers through separate amps. Back in the mid-90's I purchased the Sennheiser HD580 and Beyerdynamic 990, but these were considered just 'accessories' those days. I enjoyed them with the portable devices available at the time, but my main stereo system got the spotlight. In 2020, during covid, I became more interested in headphones. I was struck by the huge community of hobbyists and all of the DACS, amps, and headphones available. So I entered the headphone world and became an enthusiast. Over 4 years and many DAC/amp/headphone combinations I settled on a recent mid-level Topping DAC, an excellent XDuoo hybrid amp, 5 Beyerdynamic headphones (including the DT 1990) as my favorites. And then I added the Arya Organic. At that point I figured the bang to buck ratio precluded the need for any further improvements. You know what happened next-- I kept seeing articles, comments, and videos about IEMs and had to see what all the fuss was about. I bought the KZ Terminator and had problems getting a good seal. I had to work with the over-ear cords to get them right. Had to purchase different tips-- and then it all started working right. I soon got the s12 pro, Simgot EW200, 300, and EA1000. I've now added the Ziigaat x Fresh Arete and Hidizis mp 145 and Aful Explorer to my favorites. So is it all hype? No, IEMs can really sound great. It's more of an intimate, in the head experience than headphones, and the sound is immersive. Are they 'better' than headphones? No. They're different, but not necessarily better. My DT 1990's and Arya Organic's still reign supreme, overall. And my home stereo system is still the best in terms of a more realistic, big-scale sound. The difference between a large speaker home setup, and headphones, and IEMs is all about the scale of the sound. IEMs just can't match the scale of the Organics, and the Organics aren't replicating music in the scale of a speaker system. But the IEM experience is very addictive. I think that part of the attraction, after the immersive quality, is the simple novelty of it all. I'm putting these tiny things into my ears and I'm getting this relatively huge experience And they're so comparatively cheap. Back in my home stereo days a component could cost 2-3K or more. The Organics cost $1300. My EA1000's cost $225, and I think of these as equal to my DT 1990's, although at a smaller scale.

For me although it has a good v shape, the bass lacks a little. It sounds muffled on some heavy bass songs. The midrange is limited as well on some instrumental jazz tracks when the treble is present, for an example Pharoah Sanders, You got to have freedom track. I use this track mostly when testing IEMs. The moondrop was one of my first IEM along with KZzs 12 Pro X tuning model and Simgot EW300 HBB. The Letshuoer Cadenza4 is my daily driver for now. It has the best sound signature for what I listen to.

I have the Hexa, the Xuan NV and the EW300. I can tell you, the Hexa are great if you want maximum linear fidelity. They look better in reality than in the photos. However the nozzles are big and the sound might be boring. My favorites are the Xuan NV, because they are exciting, with a wide soundstage and a good bass while maintaining a good linearity and balance. However, you are sacrificing a little bit of details in the mids, compared to the Hexa. Also, you need to have a good audio source to fully appreciate the Xuan, because they are not easy to drive. Having a 4.4 balanced cable is a must. The EW300 are very good all rounder. I really enjoy these, very easy to drive, nice sound with good detail and punch. It's less wide than the Xuan and less detailed compared to the Hexa, but I suggest the EW300 to everyone as their first IEMs because you can't go wrong with them. I think the Simgot are the best value for money in general.

I know there's a quite a few people who have been waiting for me to finally make this post. I apologize for the delay, I was still waiting for an iem to be delivered. A little background: I've been an fps gamer all my life. I used to play cod semi-profressionally and participated in both online and LAN tournaments for money. The main fps games I play today are apex, cod and siege. Ever since I discovered the audiophile world with studio headphones I was amazed how much better headphones sounded compared to gaming headsets. Fast forward to present day and I am now into IEMs and discovering which ones are the best for gaming. As a disclaimer my thoughts and opinions are my own. I understand there are YouTubers such as Fresh Reviews, Ryan Ho, and Gadgetry Tech that may or may not agree with my takes. So please take my thoughts and opinions with a grain of salt as I am just a chill guy who likes to game competitively. The way I determine if an iem (or headphone) is good for gaming is by 3 main categories: soundstage, imaging, and sound separation. A good and accurate soundstage has good width (x), height (y), and depth (z). Imaging, or stereo imaging, is the spacial perception and ability to perceive the precise placement of sounds. Essentially directional audio. I.e left, right, center, back, top left, etc. Sound separation in a iem or headphone is the ability to pick up different sounds at once without it overlapping each other. So the ability to hear explosions go off, gun shots, gadgets, footsteps, etc without distorting the other sounds. With that being said here's the list of iems that I've tried each with a short review and a rating out of 5 for gaming (3 is usable, anything less is not): CCZ BC01 Pro (1) - way too bassy, bad vertical directional audio. Better options CCZ BC04 Pro (2) - same issue as the BC01 but a much more tolerable bass. Better options Moondrop Chu 2 (1.5) - sound is okay, soundstage felt narrow to me. Imaging was okay. Sound separation was below average. Premium feel and build but I didn't like how heavy they were on my ears. Better options Truthear Gate (2) - sound great but not good for gaming. Narrow soundstage, imaging is okay, below average sound separation. Better options Truthear Zero Red (?) - literally couldn't fit in my ears properly without severe pain. So I couldn't test the IEM and returned it. Will be testing the zero 2 tho Truthear Hexa (4) - comfort is not that good, better than the zero reds tho, soundstage and imaging is okay, sound separation is decent. Also not a fan of how they sound tbh. Too neutral for me Tripowin Vivaci (3) - nearly identical to the zeros 2 in technical performance but I like the zero 2 more in terms of overall sound. And for $5 more you can get the 7Hz G1 which is better than both 7Hz Zero (2.5) - a bit too bright, zero 2 is better 7Hz Zero 2 (3) - average soundstage, decent imaging, below average sound separation. Best $20 iem imo, better options as you continue to go up in price 7Hz G1 (4.5) - a Klean but cheaper with a more fun v-shaped sound signature, get this if you're on a budget 7Hz Sonus (4.5) - the most underrated iem for gaming, great imaging and great soundstage but average sound separation. EW300 is a bit better cuz it has better sound separation Kiwi Ears Canta (3.5) - a bit too bright for most people, good imaging, okay soundstage, below average sound separation Kiwi Ears Quartet (4) - best soundstage imo, super comfy fit, imaging is okay and sound separation is average Kefine Klean (4.5) - a better Delci, better sound separation and arguably better sound signature imo Kefine Delci (4) - good soundstage and imaging, slightly above average sound separation Simgot EW300 (4.5) - nearly endgame but still needs better sound separation. Simgot EM6L (5) - endgame, great soundstage, great imaging, great sound separation. Can't recommend it due to it's nozzle QC issues. Otherwise I probably wouldn't use any other IEM for gaming but this Simgot Supermix 4 (3.5) - not endgame. Might get some hate for this but I was really not impressed by this iem for gaming. It had a narrow soundstage and okay imaging, good sound separation tho. EM6L is way better Other IEMs I am planning to review: ND Planet, Tangzu Waner 2, KZ EDC Pro, Truthear Zero 2 Blue, and Kiwi Ears Airoso Note - in the end I recommend the 7Hz G1, 7Hz Sonus and EW300. The DT 900 Pro X and 770 Pro X are my reference headphones for directional audio for competitive fps games. Those headphones essentially make me feel like I have wall hacks and the iems perform 85-90% as good. The best was definitely the EM6L where I felt nearly no difference in performance with my headphones but I can't recommend it because of the nozzle QC issue. It is an easy fix by super gluing it back on but that shouldn't even happen for an iem worth $110 in the first place. With that being said I will still review iems (and headphones) above and below the respective prices but I feel that you will be perfectly happy with the performance of the iems I recommended. Side Note: I'm currently in the process of building a website with the best gaming peripheral recommendations which includes not only iems but headphones, keyboards, mice, monitors, even pro controllers and more. Hope you all have a blessed day and find this helpful in your purchasing decision!

All 4 are differently tuned. Legato is a bass monster, if you’re looking for much else you may be disappointed. **InAwaken** (my personal daily iem and fave) is fantastic. Warm leaning but enough brightness to keep it lively and engaging. Mid bass is smooth & textured with good sub bass rumble but no bloat. Vocals are very well balanced for both male/female ; treble has good clarity and is non fatiguing. Overall separation/imaging is great, nothing is “muddy”. Super comfortable resin shell, has shorter nozzle so no discomfort with insertion for me, YMMV. Can’t praise this set enough, for the price it’s incredible. The difference between the standard/HBB is the colour and the DSP cable, all the 300’s have the tuning nozzles. Both **Simgot EW300’s** are balanced V, treble leaning but variable with the nozzles. Could be an issue if treble sensitive, otherwise highly recommend either set. Sub & mid bass nice and punchy, no bleeding. Low mids are really rich & engaging, upper slightly drops off but works with this tuning to not feel too forward. Solid vocal set, female vocals can feel slightly recessed at certain pitches but otherwise sound great. Very good micro details, treble is clear and airy, albeit sibilant at times. Only tried the EW300 standard for a short while last wk but had no complaints with comfort or sound quality. Just prefer the tuning & fit/design of the InAwaken, it can be used all day with no problems physically or musically. **If you can buy both sets to try with a good return policy, I would advise this.** If not, take a leap with the tuning you think will work best. It's an upgrade in every possible way. There's the bass that I wanted, it's brighter and has ton of detail. Imaging is pretty good too. Used it in cs2 and I can almost pinpoint where enemy is. It fits my ears better. The EW300 was falling out of my ear. My friend tried it and he had a similar experince. I don't know if it's the shape or weight. My only complaint with estrella is driver flex. If the eartips are making a perfect, and I mean perfect seal, I hear the driver flex when pushing it in, but if the eartip has the slightest place to let air into the ear canal there's no driver flex.

After trying multiple iems, I’ve narrowed down my favorites to these ones. 1. Simgot EW300 Hbb - Honestly these will be more than enough for 95% of people, at first I thought these were just ok but after a/b ing the 3, they hit way higher than their pricing suggests. Basshead levels and clarity with the planar. Fit is ok very small and slim but flat shape no contours. Very easy to drive from mobile no dac needed. 2. Fatfreq Deuce - Yes the sub bass is insane on these but have no good weight to the mids so for vocals and non bassy songs, this Iem might be a little lacking. The fit is awesome however and one of the best I’ve found, very light and good contouring, does not stick out from ears. Subwoofer levels of bass and the tips included are one of the best I’ve encountered so far. Not sure what style this is called and I’m looking to buy similar ones aftermarket, any suggestions? They are slightly hard to drive but dongle dac should be fine. 3. Kiwi Ears Punch - These are very good as everyone else has said but I’m not honestly not sure it’s worth the giant price jump from the EW300. First these iems are very large and stick out from your ears, they have a good shape but over time they don’t stay in position as well as the other two. The mid bass is definitely improved quite well over the deuce but sub bass doesn’t hit as strong in my opinion, treble is definitely better. Compared to the EW300 however the differences are very hard to discern, after using the right tips on the EW300 these two iems sound so close to me, my amateur ears can’t hear a noticeable improvement. 🤷 TLDR - Simgot EW300 more than enough with right ear tips

The Zero red are solid, do be warned the nozzle size are very large on them, so if your ear canals are a bit on the medium to smaller end they can get very uncomfortable. They do have really good Bass and sub-bass, but in terms of detail retrieval, especially in the upper end they're not as good as some other options. They still are a very solid pick though Simgot EW300 - $56 on sale w/ amazon prime, and are an incredible IEM for that price. Has 2 nozzles with a bit different tuning. ($56 version is the one with the 3.5mm cable) Tangzu YuXuanJi - $50, but not on amazon so you'd have to wait for shipping Kefine Klean - $49 on amazon, and some other places The apple dongle (as long as it's the US version, EU version is under powered) would drive any of these without issue.

Nothing, you made the right choice. Most of these people clearly have no experience with EW-300. I own all three of the sets in question and the EW is definitely better than the cheaper ones. You’re gonna love em.

If you like hearing clear vocals and instruments like Classical or Indie, Hexa. If you primarily listen to edm, hip hop/bassy music, EW300. If you competitive game, Hexa Casual, solo, immersive gaming, or movies, EW300.

IEMs are not a good fit for the gym. I use a Soundcore sport for the gym; it is heavy in the bass but comes with a good app and can be EQ’d and has active noise cancellation. I like Simgot EW300 as an alternative to Hexa which I didn’t care for at all.

Simgot shines on female vocals ,everything with guitars and gaming.  Edm and hip hop is good on it too. What it does particularly well too is taking eq. The driver inside of it is a very good one you can basically make it sing however you want, personally i am a neutral warm guy, a lot of people call it sibilant which i totally do not find, i call it revealing and you will get a lot of details when listening to lower volumes (which i was impressed with). I currently applied through wavelet a super 22 target to it and it made the mids smoother and perfected it to my likings The ew200 is just a beast for its price and i would not be upset if it performed the way it does on a 200 dollar iem. The Ie600 is just a jack of all trades. It does not do anything  particularly well but is just good at doing everything  well ,bringing some awesome energy to it. You can compare it to you getting out of work on a friday its all sunshine and laughs( a bit too energetic at times but easely fixed with a sprinkle of eq or a simple eartip swap to a smaller nozzle).

I'd pick the ew300 over the kz Zenith or cca hydro, I don't like how kz tunes their treble. Just a me thing mostly.

I have small ear cavities. I recommend the Simgot EW300, BLON x HBB Z300 or the 7hz Salnotes 2

In my opinion, simgot EW300 Dsp may be the best opinion for you. It has a type c cable so it is easy to connect your phone than jack 3.5. The dsp is the simgot ew300 but boosts bass so fit your taste(basshead). The accessories also have another nozzles if you want more treble( detail or more bright i guess).

Well, EW300 has more sub bass but less mid bass than Aria 2 while EW300 DSP with red filter and EA500LM black filter has less bass overall but thin mids
