r/iemsIs IEM a good choice for daily use like watching lectures, Zoom Meetings, PC gaming etc.?

If you're really tight on budget, wired iems are the way to go. Can get decent enough sound for 20-30$, with a mic cable included, and would last a long time (providing you don't drop them). Tangzu Wan'er, Simgot EW100P, Truthear Gate, 7Hz Zero:2 are all popular, I have heard and can vouch the sound for, and have good track record of being sturdy. KZ has bad reputation here (it's a long story), can't speak for their sound as I haven't heard most of them, but I bet most of their stuff is sturdy enough too For a tight budget, I wouldn't bother with cheap wireless iems (TWS). Almost all of them sound bad (too much bass and treble) and there's no guarantee on the build quality or longevity, as they're battery powered and so many more things can go wrong (even cheap wired iems have a year's warranty from reputable sellers, plus the cables are replaceable)

IEMs I love in the $20 range: Wan'er Jade 2, AGA Sound Aga 1, Wyvern Black Re-imagined; Simgot EW100 $50-$75- In Awaken Dawn MS, Artti 10, Simgot EW300, EPZ Q Pro, TRN Shark $75-$110ish- Meyer-Audio Sliiva SLA3s, BGVP Feather (my favorite IEM without respect to price), Siivga Que UTG, Azla Horizon 2. $150-$300ish Meyer Audio CKLV D62; Letshouer Cadenza 4; ivpQ Conch V12 New IEMs I like a lot: KZ Duet (weird but sound great) Photon Pro 2 (weird but sound great), EarAcoustic STA-PRO, and **LETSHUOER D02**, maybe the most comfortable IEM I've ever put [in.my](http://in.my) ears.

The Wyverns and the EW100s are better than anything in that range- the SGOR Adonis is very good too.

Yeah me too, I have some very expensive sets, like the IE600, and I prefer the EW300 over the IE600... I still prefer my Ziigaat Odyssey, or my Mangird Xenns Top, but damn the Simgot is indeed very very good for the asked price

It’s weird isn’t it. I got the EW300s a few weeks ago and I immediately wanted to upgrade and read through a ton of posts here.  I think it’s because years and years ago I had the original wired apple earbuds, then I got M-Audio IE10s and was blown away by the clarity. Then I got shure se215s, then I got into KZ buds like a decade ago, then shure 425s and finally AirPods Pro. I’ve had those for like 6 years or whatever and when I got the simgots recently I remembered just how much detail music could have. And the fact that they are less than a third of what my shures cost made me think well if $80 gets me this good of sound, what does $300 get me??  I love the imaging and separation of the EW300s and I really want even more

Had the Blues first, and switched over to the Simgots. A lot better listening experience imo, plus amazing for gaming.

r/iemsWhich IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆

The signature KZ sound does NOT work for the kind of music I like listening to. Just sounds like someone keeps shattering glass inside of my ear canal... Just from a quick scroll I can already tell the comments are filled with folks who have similar issues with Simgot as well which I think is fair. While I consider them better technical performers, a lot of the tuning has some similarly sharp and spicy aspects to it that plenty of people might really enjoy but that some others will just find unbearable. It's the number one thing I was never quite able to get used to in any IEM...
