1. MDR- MV1 - U shaped bassy with a well extended non-fatiguing treble. Also the best fit and lightweight out of all headphones I tried. 2. XBA-N3 - best timbre so far out of all the IEMs I have. Best for my hip-hop/rap songs with male vocals. 3. Symphonium Meteor - best treble I tried, not the best timbre though on the first try as there is a low and mid treble dip it took some time to finally β€œget it”. Great for female rap/hip-hop. 4. EJ-07M KL - tuned with + 3dB bass boost. My all-rounder set. Stands out in terms of technicalities. 5. Tago Studio Takasaki T3-01 - well balanced, just the right bass and treble, really good vocals. Needs good source to shine (but not scale enough). 6. Symphonium Helios SE - really good micro details. 7. Symphonium Titan - sub bass fun! Honestly I can possibly consider this as an all rounder set. It drowns you with bass but became pretty balanced when bass is not called.

Pardon my rambling. I'm kind of jumping around topics. Deuce does take EQ well, but make sure your source is clean. High output impedance will affect the bass - that's how those impedance adapters work. Deuce is a twin dynamic driver IEM with a woofer driver that primarily works under 300hz. Planar iems like the 7hz Timeless and related Shuoer S12 have *very fast* bass that doesn't hit extremely hard for how it graphs. The attack and decay is nearly instant, which is good for really busy music, but given your artists & genres it's not something to think about too hard. I've got a Tangzu Zetian Wu, which is from the same generation, and it doesn't hit as hard as my Kailua, which is a twin dynamic with a similar subwoofer crossover as the Deuce. They graph almost the same in the bass - that is, the Kailua and the Zetian Wu. Also, the shell is huge on Deuce. Make sure you're willing to sell it if it doesn't turn out as expected. It's even bigger than the Zero Red in my experience. What else to consider... most IEMs with a reasonably large driver or center dome should give you the expected punch/kick from EQ. Given you're willing to EQ to get what you want, Deuce and FD15 should be high up on the list. **Given you are willing to buy used**, you should check out the Sony XBA-N3 - My favorite high bass IEM, period. It's really, really good out of the box. "N3AP" is a 3.5mm termination and "N3BP" is 4.4mm pentaconn. I mostly listen to things like happy hardcore, DnB, and 90's Jungle - but I also dabble in jazz & symphonic poems. It can handle all of those. Just keep in mind not to lose the tuning foams in the nozzle...! They're hard to find. Good luck out there! It's tough finding an IEM that hits hard as one would really enjoy.

re: XBA-N3 technicality - Average to above average. It is NOT a technical iem, but it's not *bad* imo. I really loved that it had a little bit of soundstage depth, similar to a nice set of over ears. I'm not going to say imaging/separation are going to be equal or better than a planar IEM, though. For Deuce... I didn't get to try them with EQ, so refer to other people for that. I'm going to take a guess and say that it *could* slam hard as hell, because the drivers they used in the Deuce are supposed to be really good, and by extension can probably take a lot of EQ without too much issue. Techs on Deuce were middling, below average to my ears, but that might be because of the fit issues I had with it and the sub heavy sound signature they aimed for. I'm sure if it fits, it'll be fine with the wide bore tips - I had to use my own, so I tried KBEAR 07 as I usually do.
