Soundpeats h3’s seem to he best sounding out of any ear pods!
What score do you give for SOUNDPEATS H3? I already bought it and thought it sounds amazing after EQ, but wondering how it compares to others.
u/tigerim I have the H3 and I'm looking for a better headphone than it (the focus is audio quality, the experience with them has been wonderful, but we're always looking for something better) where the bass doesn't overwhelm the other frequencies (I sometimes feel that, although today I use some good EQs and a good KZ foam tip), nor that the mids and highs become shrill, but that has good vocals highlighted, I also like good instrumental separation and a good soundstage. I'm in doubt between the PI8, AZ100 (I focused more on this one, I don't know if I'm correct) and the Airpods Pro 3, which one do you recommend?
But regardless of integration, my focus is sound quality, I think I'm going to get a PI8, the reviews everywhere are a lot of hype, maybe it's a real deal. But I'm still swayed by the AZ100, I don't know if the Airpods Pro3 will have all this sound compared to the others. But given that James from Picky Audio put it among the tops, there with 9.5, I don't know, I'm increasingly confused.

Personally I would take a look at Earfun and Soundpeats products, they have and outstanding price for quality ratio.. My favorite TWS at the moment are my H3 from SoundPeats ..
SoundPeats H3s crush the OP Buds 4 in terms of sound quality... They have a fuller sound more like a very good wired IEMs.
For me it's simple: if my day is going to be relaxing, with little social activity, and I have some time to enjoy music, I use the H3. On busier days, when I'll be on the move and with more social activity, I use the OP Buds 4. I keep the Earfun 4+ on couch at night, for when I need it. I like to have each setup in its own place (obviously because I can $).
The H3 has a fuller, warmer, and more natural sound....but airy at same time, the reason why is so pleasant sound. The Earfun 4+ has a clear, more micro detailed sound, with good bass at same time. H3 for vocals and acoustic instruments, so good for this kind. Earfun 4+ for music with electronics and fast instruments.

Aevum1 mentioned the new H3 from SoundPEATS. Their shell is kinda big but they are shaped like typical IEMs. I have not compared their TWS features since I don’t care about or use ANC and multipoint and all that, I only care about tuning and fit. Based on sound quality alone, the SoundPEATS Capsule 3 Pro + is almost identical to the H3, like within 2% identical, and it’s 2/3 the cost. Its shell is typical Stem shaped buds but it’s also got an xMEM driver in it too. If you look into it, pay attention that it’s the PLUS/+ version, which is newer in that series. There is a capsule 3 pro and a pro+. Price will usually reflect this also. I put the C3P+ up against any TWS under $150 and against some in the $200-$250 range. It’s stupid good and went under the radar since SoundPEATS, and other brands in its segment like soundcore, are typically seen as budget and/or bass heavy brands. The C3P+ is an outlier in terms of sound quality in its segment.
Yessss!!! The Martilo’s are an EXCELLENT choice. Not only just basshead IEM’s though. They’re great all around IEM’s that deliver on detail, instrumental separation, soundstage, vocals, and even treble. PHENOMENAL set of earbuds. But for wireless, I’d go with the Soundpeats H3 with a custom EQ of 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, in their PeatsAudio app.
The Soundpeats H3 is a great pair of TWS earbuds. Can be had for around $100 right now and with the right custom EQ, they can stand toe to toe with earbuds of $200 to $300, on just sound quality alone. The Moondrop Robin, while a rather niche product, is also a competent pair of earbuds with a custom EQ. The cool thing about their custom EQ is you can choose an EQ target of many different Moondrop IEM’s and then auto-EQ it to sound similar to their sound quality. You need to be updated to the newest firmware to have access to that EQ customization feature though.
The Soundpeats H3 are fantastic earbuds. Their sound quality (when custom tuned in the EQ) is phenomenal. Great bass, but not overwhelming. The only thing I think that could be better is battery life. But the case is a quick charge case, so you can get a few more hours of battery life on a quick 15 minute charge. The ANC is pretty good and so is the transparency mode. There are better earbuds out there for those things, but what they really excel at is their sound quality. The stock sound is just OK and they really come alive through the EQ adjustments you can make. I love the style of them- they’re like an IEM style bud without a stem. They’re very, very, comfortable to wear, even for hours at a time. At $100 they are a bargain. They can compete with earbuds $200 higher in price, so they definitely punch above their weight.
I prefer to tip roll for days/weeks to “EQ” and will only keep IEMs around that need PEQ if they are guilt-free affordable (for me.) 2025 GOATs no EQ: DMA, ET142 (Gold nozzle + medium foam) Great, no EQ: EDC Pro, Gale, PA02, Mimosa, Pilgrim, Pilgrim Noir, RSV Great with PEQ: Grit, Soundpeats H3, Relentless Great but needed PEQ and too $: CP622B, Monarch MKIV No real worst, but I’m disappointed with the Noah. I had the Yu9 Que and it needed a little EQing, and frankly EQ’d my Relentless to the same sound so out the Que went - thought the Noah would be it (meaning not needing EQ) but the Que bodies it in all sonic preferences I have.
