Btw I got tangzu waner sg2 usb C edition (not red lion, bought it way before that) and they are my first IEM. I'm very happy with them. They sound great. I use apple music and I actually do find difference when I compare YTM or Spotify with Apple music lossless, like I can pick tiny instruments playing far away. Amaze amaze amaze. One thing I don't like is they are bulky as hell. Protrude out too much. And the nozzle is little too wide wide for my liking. You can go for it too, idk how to explain sound profile with words, but I like it personally. Next time I'm gonna get something with wider soundstage, these sounds really close. Idk bout 7hz, but I will definitely want to try them out at some point.

Yeah ig, this is my first IEM, so idk. I own XM5 headphones and c710N earbuds from sony. And these IEMs are way better for the price. From freq response curve, yeah it is vocal forward. I've read few people saying high frequency notes are too harsh or sharp, but I don't have any problem with them. It's quite good for the songs I hear. But yeah if a song got too much metal, then they do sound a tiny bit too sharp, like forces you to reduce volume so you don't hear sharp sound.

You probably want the Red Lion. I haven't heard the Red Lion myself but I have the OG Wan'er and the Wan'er 2. They're quite warm, so good for hip hop, and also quite vocal-forward, which is also good for that sort of music, but should also help with clarity in movies. A lot of bassier IEMs can easily drown out dialogue in film/TV, especially when there are loud sound effects. The other good thing about the Red Lion is it comes with all the accessories you're going to need, so you don't need to worry about buying other stuff. And if you buy a different IEM in the future, it comes with ~$15-worth of premium eartips, that are actually quite good ones that you might well want to use on future IEMs (unlike most stock eartips). The only other one I'd consider is the Bunny DSP - specifically the DSP version - because it has built-in PEQ so you can tweak the tuning to how you want it. But it's not as good as the Red Lion for accessories.

It's the one I'm recommending the most currently, mainly because it's such good value for money. Personally my favourite one around that price is the Chu 2, but for your sort of music and use-case you'll probably prefer the Red Lion tuning. Also the Chu 2 metal shells feel higher quality, but require a bit more maintenance. I don't think you have to worry about sound quality. There are a handful of IEMs in this price bracket that are all well tuned, so which one you prefer is just going to come down to preferences and what sort of music you listen to. People are mostly praising the Red Lion for its accessories because it's such an insanely good package for the price. It's not because it sounds bad, it's just that the Wan'er has been around for years and people already know that it sounds good. But it just went from having the absolute worst accessories in the market to the beating all the competition by a pretty wide margin.

It's a mild v-shape. Very good all-rounder. Slightly cleaner bass and treble than the Wan'er IMO, but not by a lot. The Wan'er has less emphasis on the treble and more emphasis on vocals instead, especially male vocals.

Wan'er build quality isn't great. The tuning is OK if you mainly care about vocals since that's what they do best, but technical performance outside that isn't great. The Wan'er 2 has better accessories but they messed up the tuning a bit, the OG sounds better. The others are all good all-rounders (the Bunny is the only one I don't have, but based on the reviews it's fine, plus it has EQ).

first of all, this subreddit is filled with dummies with no knowledge, who will tell you to buy shit brands like kz. skip kz. kz is only good if your budget is 69, cus thats what they do with you. now the real talk. the usual good options: 1. TRUTHEAR GATE (best 3.5mm option under 2k, great cable, lots of eartips, a case included & great balanced sound signature) 2. MOONDROP CHU 2 (skip cus qc issues, v-shaped tuned, metal build, good cable, overall okayish) 3. TANGZU WANER 1 & 2 (1 has a warmer sound signature, okayish build, terrible cable, overall meh. 2 is more balanced, lots of tips & good ones too, better cable, better build. both are okay) 4. TANCHJIM BUNNY DSP (best type-c option around 2k, good everything) 5. 7HZ ZERO 1 & 2 (1 is neutral while 2 has more bass, still skip, they're okay at best) 6. 7hz G1 (blind buy, best iem around 3k, 7hz cooked here. get this! metal build, v-shaped tuned & greatly done too, good everything else)

Ig Tangzu waner 1st edition is better exactly for what it got famous for -The Music profile (tuning) and the aesthetics while it's 2nd has some changes in tuning that's not the signature music of tangzu waner(that may not be liked my mass especially beginners) and better quality cable and the eartips I would still go for 1st edition for the MUSIC quality I can compromise on cables and eartips

This would be for me a few options to consider, there are a lot more honestly, but these would be my essentials: * Original Tangzu Waner - since is quite comfortable, vocal focused and works great with EQ. * Arrti T10 - for the cheapest planar than sounds like a planar. * Dunu Titan S2 - for a well rounded single DD quite cheap and with great accessories (tho better to consider EQ if the stock tuning is a bit too intense). * Kbear Rosefinch - for a funny bassy iem to blast music to, this is more of a nostalgic bass heavy sound. * Moondrop Lan (OG or II) - for something bright balanced, to have a comfortable, nom-bassy reference. * Simgot EW300 - for a budget but well rounded hybrid balanced IEM with nice allrounder performance.
