Nice sets here. And the write up was solid too. Appreciate the info/guidance. Just got a set of Wan’er OG’s. What aftermarket cables are you rocking here. The cable that comes with it… I hate… I hate it a lot :)
terms of vocals, nothing really beats the Tangzu Wan'er SG or the Wan'er 2. Maybe abit of treble, sparkles, and soundstage, that would be KZ Castor Silver. But vocals is still better for the Wan'er SG/Wan'er 2.
I am doing the reverse from you, I came from bassy IEMs to neutral or neutral-ish. My old daily driver was the QKZ AK6 Pro (left most, too boomy for my ears now) Then switched to the KZ Castor Bass (Very very V-shaped, big bass and big treble) -> Tested Tangzu Wan'er SG (Neutral Warm on my ears) -> KZ EDC Pro (U-shaped) -> Tested then switched to the KZ Castor Silver (Neutral Bright IEM) https://preview.redd.it/7fb6i40ommve1.png?width=8100&format=png&auto=webp&s=5639f5828253e1796037c4592d784a93bd3eb8b3

Maybe because I prefer mild or slightly coloured v-shaped/u-shaped either bright or warm. Maybe if I get the QKZ x HBB Hades I would nope out because of lack of treble and too much bass. **(from left to right, list is based on when I bought it)** 1. QKZ AK6 Pro (Original daily driver, memories) 2. KZ Castor Improved Bass (Current daily driver, may change to the KZ Castor Silver) 3. Tangzu x Headphone Zone Wan'er SG (tested and satisfied, collected) 4. KZ EDC Pro (tested and satisfied, collected) 5. KZ Castor Silver (currently testing, collected)
Personally, at 2k INR. None will have the clarity and details for some and many audiophiles. It kinda starts at least at the 4k-5k INR or above. If you want some details in this price range, go with a bright sound signature or V-shaped with prominent bright or trebles. Neutral Warm * Tangzu Wan'er SG \*\* * Tangzu Wan'er 2 \* Neutral Bright * 7Hz Salnotes Zero * KZ Castor Silver (Harman tuning, DDUU switches) \*\* * KZ Castor Pro Silver (Harman tuning, DDUU switches) \*\* * KZ x Angelears Libra X V-shaped * 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2 \* * Tanchjim Bunny 3.5mm \* * Tanchjim One 3.5mm * KZ Castor Silver (Harman tuning, UUDD switches) \*\* * KZ Castor Pro Silver (Harman tuning, UUDD switches) \*\* U-shaped * Tanchjim Bunny DSP \* * Tanchjim One DSP * DUNU Titan S2 \* (\* recommend | \*\* personally owned)
[Don't forget to read this especially on tips on making your IEMs last longer.](https://www.reddit.com/user/NinjaSiren/comments/1jil8re/beginners_intro_guide_to_iems/) Tangzu Wan'er SG PROS * Neutral sounding with warmness * Treble safe tuning, not fatiguing for long listening (for treble sensitive people) * Lighter weight, not so heavy in the ears * Better unboxing experience, and alot more accessories * Mids and vocals definitely stand out enough * SUBJECTIVE: Personally prefers Tangzu stock eartips over KZ (The ones I am using on my KZ Castor Bass) CONS * Lacks enough sparkles * Sometimes muddy lower mids * SUBJECTIVE: Personally, bass might sound abit not so "rounded" or not so punchy enough

I don't know much about the ZS10 Pro, but basing on the squiglink. Wan'er 2 is more of a neutral warm, safe tuning (minimal treble) IEM Zero 2 is a mild V-shaped IEM, while not causing issues with the midrange that much ZS10 Pro is more V-shaped than the Castor Silver, and is treble brighter-ish and has abit more bass than the Silver but lacks bass vs the Bass version. In the end it really depends on your sound preference, music genres you listen in general, and comfort level on an IEM. I would definitely suggest to buy the Wan'er SG and the 7hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2 as well being those two are also cheap IEMs under $20. But if you cannot buy another one, if you have friends or people who can let you try their Wan'er or Zero 2. Same with u/Mrs_Doyles_Teabags, the IEM world is a journey to enjoy, and good luck on your IEM paths you take!

Chu 2 is ok, just that it might sound abit less fun with single-player games because of lack of enough bass. As well as recent issues with broken 2-pins and them getting stuck within the IEM. (very fixable and cable replacement) Tangzu Wan'er SG is a safer for the ears set, less treble crazy, but personally it sounded abit low mid muddy (but generally its all fine) KZ Castor, I am still waiting for my Silver version (but I liked the EDC Pro, similar-ish to the Silver Castor). I have the Bass, which is better for me vs the Wan'er SG, better sparkle and technicalities.

Or go for planar IEMs, which their bass is speedy decay enough to be not too much mid bass: * SGOR Luna * Artti T10/T10 Pro * NiceHCK F1 Pro * Shozy P10/P20 * Letshuoer S08
|WARM|BALANCED-ish|BRIGHT| |:-|:-|:-| |Tangzu Wan'er SG (neutral warm)|Moondrop Chu 2 (mild v-bright-ish)|7Hz Salnotes Zero (neutral bright)| |Kiwi Ears Cadenza (neutral warm, with a touch of bright)||Simgot EW200 (mild v-bright)| All of them are good at their price point, but basing on your other IEMs, you prefer a mild-v tuning, either abit bright or abit warm. * KZ Castor Harman (Silver) which is a neutral bright to mild v-warm from switches * 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2 which is a mild v-balanced with a warm-ish feel * KZ EDC Pro is a u-balanced with a touch of warmness Kiwi Ears Cadenza has better brightness and air vs Tanzgu Wan'er SG, and personally experienced some minimal lower midrange mud with the original Tangzu Wan'er SG. Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 kinda fixed most of the issues with the original Wan'er SG, but its still a neutral warm IEM. Simgot EW200 has more energetic and brighter sound signature than KZ Castor Silver (Harman), but KZ Castor Silver has better soundstage and image separation vs Simgot EW200. Moondrop Chu 2 is the smallest on all of these, but might lack overall sound experience abit vs both the KZ Castor Silver and 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2. 7Hz Salnotes Zero is more neutral bright, lacks bass impact vs 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero 2. (fairly similar to KZ Castor Silver at DDUU/DDDU switches) * So if you want a little bit more warmness but retaining some balanced feel, Kiwi Ears Cadenza * If you want more treble energy and abit more analytical, Simgot EW200 * If you want a small IEM, Moondrop Chu 2
Castor Pro (Silver) might be touch bit brighter (abit more leaning towards neutral bright) than the OG Castor Silver, OG Silver seems to have a little bit more smoother sound experience than the Pro Silver. OG Silver, even in FR graphs is more versatile from neutral bright to a Mild-V warm-ish tuning. On the Tangzu Wan'er SG 1, yes its really warm and chill sound experience, though same with your guess it sounded abit too relaxed. Wan'er SG 2 changed that, so you can definitely go for that one as well. If you like bass, then Castor Bass definitely. Imaging wise its better than Tangzu Wan'er SG 1, though male vocals gets drowned, female vocals does not get affected as much. This based on my own personal experience on all 3 https://preview.redd.it/pq76zelzj8xf1.jpeg?width=9720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1e9a811c03703d0c885fd03d7a806392ba2ec491 Though in the end, these are just subjective and personal opinions, everything will end up on your own preferences, likes, and dislikes.

Tangzu Waner SG 1 or 2. Best ones!
TY for the reply. **Personally**, coming from headphones, **I** found the Wan'er SG a bit sharp and shouty after an hour—maybe because IEMs sit much closer to the ear canal, and I’m not fully used to them yet. This isn’t a critique of Tangzu or IEMs in general—just my personal experience with treble sensitivity and fatigue. Despite the fatigue, I still really enjoyed and felt excited to use the tangzu. They were much lighter than headphones (which tend to get hot, especially in my region, where temperatures can reach 50°C), and more importantly, they sounded great! I absolutely loved the clarity. Wan'er was my first and only IEM (which I lost while traveling), so I don’t have much to compare. Right now, I’m considering: * **Wan'er 2** – Since I liked the sound of the OG Wan’er, these are said to have similar tuning but with a better cable and eartips. * **Kefine Klean** – Based on what I’ve read, these should be less shouty and treble-fatiguing. * **Kiwi Ears Cadenza** – The bass-heavy option that many recommend. * **Truthear Zero Blue/Red** – Mainly considering these for their reputation in gaming, though I also want something enjoyable for music. Which of these would you recommend, considering I plan to use EQ to manage my treble fatigue? If you have any other suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
Which one you got? I am using kefine klean, and also once had 20$ tangzu wan'er but lost them while travelling. IEMs are the best price for sound quality one can get currently, also this is coming from someone who used headphones for more than 15 years.
7hz X Crinacle Zero 2. No doubt. I own 7 IEMs. Best sound quality as per price point as compared to others. The cable quality is a little meh, but you can change it later. You can't EQ it though (not natively - but there are workarounds). The IEMs that I own are:- 7hz Salnotes Zero (1800 INR) 7hz X Crinacle Zero 2 (2300 INR) 7hz G1(3500) Tangzu Wan'er S.G. 1 & 2 (2000) Moondrop Chu 2 DSP(2500) Truthear x Crinacle Zero:RED (5000 INR) Tangzu Wan'er, moondrop chu 2 also sounds pretty good. But I like zero 2 more because it has much cleaner bass and sub-bass. Everything is balanced and works well for every single genre of music and gaming (I have only played fps games, horror games and story games — all sounded good in this iem). You can buy it blindly. And also don't buy from concept kart. In case it turns out to be faulty, their return service is very bad (personal experience). You can buy from amazon in a price range of 2300-2500 (3.5mm w/ mic). ZERO:RED is better than all, but is a little more expensive than your budget.
Against some comment, I'll say to go with a WanEr SG I ; if she's the one to have a beautiful IEM and take care of it, she'll do like my girlfriend and loves it. Nothing prevents you to buy a 50$ later for her ; but I won't go higher for IEM. P.S : You can buy her a pretty box (20$) with a cable of the color she wants (20$), even if it's just aesthetic Don't forget to put silica gel to prevent humidity from coming in the box. And you can even buy airtag to put it in the box, so you'll have it gps-localised if she's the kind to lose things like me.
Waner SG: Overall balanced Salnotes 7hz: Gaming Focused Moondrop Chu 2: Same as Waner but oxidation issues
y not, wan'er SG was already a good IEM & wan'er 2 is improvement over it by providing a good cable and sancai eartips for the same price as the original
I only started getting into IEMS in Feb of this year. Forced to stay at home from a tragic work injury, with nothing to do and money to spend. I knew there was life after earbuds, and hence, my first IEM purchase, the Wan'er SG. Best bang for the buck: Kunten, easily. Best of the year: AM16 Bass version. Going from the Kunten and my other single DD to this is like... WOW! Biggest surprise of the year: Well, I have to say the Wan'er, because that blew me away after years of JBL and Sony earbuds. It was my first IEM and it felt like hearing Heaven after earbud hell. Biggest letdown: Truthear Zero:Red. Without the resistor, it has no bass. It doesn't really have treble. And it really doesn't have mids. It has nothing... (Crinacle face zoom)... for $55. Other good ones: 7hz Elua Ultra. KZ Castor Pro bass. KZ EDC Pro, KZ PRX Others I didn't like: 7hz Zero 1 (no bass), KZ Duonic (too v-shaped), SGOR Luna (didn't fit well, and very ugly), Chu2 (It's OK. My other single DD's sounded better)
