You probably want the Red Lion. I haven't heard the Red Lion myself but I have the OG Wan'er and the Wan'er 2. They're quite warm, so good for hip hop, and also quite vocal-forward, which is also good for that sort of music, but should also help with clarity in movies. A lot of bassier IEMs can easily drown out dialogue in film/TV, especially when there are loud sound effects. The other good thing about the Red Lion is it comes with all the accessories you're going to need, so you don't need to worry about buying other stuff. And if you buy a different IEM in the future, it comes with ~$15-worth of premium eartips, that are actually quite good ones that you might well want to use on future IEMs (unlike most stock eartips). The only other one I'd consider is the Bunny DSP - specifically the DSP version - because it has built-in PEQ so you can tweak the tuning to how you want it. But it's not as good as the Red Lion for accessories.

If it's available, maybe the EPZ Q1 Pro. It's quite small and doesn't have huge nozzles, but it's a more ergonomic shape than the Chu 2. If you also have small conchas (the "bowl" inside the ear, just outside the ear canal) then some find the Chu 2 uncomfortable because of its shape, even though it's quite small. Otherwise the Wan'er is fairly safe. The OG has a crappy cable but most find it fits slightly better than the Wan'er 2, and IMO it's tuned better as well. The QKZ T1 is a good cable that fits the OG. Don't know about the Fiio but they have a reputation for all of the their IEMs sounding pretty crap, except the FH3 and the new flagship one. So I'd probably skip that one.

The TRN Shell is really good value, as it comes with a really good quality hard acrylic case (a bit too big to throw in a pocket, but perfect for travelling), a decent modular cable and 4 full sets of tips (all different), one of which are TRN T-Tips, which are excellent (and although they are relatively cheap, they're annoying to buy in all 3 sizes, because there's no multipack). It's also a really good IEM. Similar to the Simgot EW300 in a lot of ways, but IMO better. Sometimes goes on sale around $40. Juzear Clear if you see it on sale around $20 is to an extent a free IEM with a nice faux-leather case, and cable. The QC is pretty bad though, so the tuning could be quite random. The cable alone is worth $20 though, although there are better cable for $20 (there are many worse ones too). It's one of the nicer cases and if you buy one separately it typically costs around $5-10. I don't remember what tips it includes, but I wouldn't buy it if tips are your main priority. The Truthear Gate has one of the best lightweight cables, although it only comes in 3.5mm and I wouldn't say it's comparable with other cables you can get for $20, and the IEM isn't great IMO, though some seem to like it. It also comes with a full set of Coffee tips (aka Whizzer SS20) and another set of generic tips. The Coffee/SS20 tips are good, although they're also quite cheap to just buy on their own. The new Tangzu Wan'er Red Lion seems to come with 2 full sets of quite good eartips, although I haven't confirmed if the Tang Sancai ones are the balanced ones (good) or the wide bore ones they included with the Jade Dragon edition (shite). The narrow bore Tang Sancai are shite as well, but I haven't seen them bundled with anything. The standard Wan'er 2 comes with one set of balanced Tang Sancai (the good ones) but it only comes with one set, not the 2 sets you get with the Red Lion. The other ones they include with that are HE Sonic, which I haven't tried yet. Note that the Wan'er 2 was tuned worse than the original Wan'er and there aren't any proper reviews of the Red Lion yet. The original Wan'er came with KBear 07 tips which are also quite good, but also cheap to buy on their own. The old Wan'er also used to come with a really nice cleaning cloth, which they've stopped including in the new ones. But it also had the worst cable of all time. Edit: For some reason I thought the Red Lion came with 4 sets of tips, but it's only 2.

Probably the EPZ Q1 Pro. It doesn't have too much bass so it won't cause bass fatigue, but it's not overly bright either, so it won't cause treble fatigue. It's also one of the smaller, more ergonomic shells so it should be comfortable. Build quality is a huge step up from the Wan'er 2 as well. I was going to say the Kefine Klean, but it's quite bassy, so it could get fatiguing, especially for TV, because the bass might drown out speech a bit. I haven't really tried IEMs for TV/movies, but I did spend a long time comparing different headphones and found that the HD650 had the best balance - clear voices, not too much bass, not lacking in bass either. It's a tricky to get the balance right, especially when a lot of movies have audio tracks mastered for cinemas where they hit you with explosions from huge subwoofers etc.

I did get a resonance peak on the EPZ Q1 Pro when I first got them, but it went away when I switched to Whizzer ET100 tips. Most people I've asked about it didn't get the same resonance peak, so I don't know if it's really any worse than other IEMs. It did put me off recommending it initially though, because I did try several other tips that never fixed the problem. Maybe give ET100 a go, they might work for you too. I never checked the exact frequency, but it was somewhere in the low to mid treble. Resonance peaks are always dependent on the length of your ear canal, so they'll vary from person to person regardless. And usually ear tips can affect them to some extent, though they won't necessarily get rid of them, just shift them somewhere less noticeable.

Wan'er build quality isn't great. The tuning is OK if you mainly care about vocals since that's what they do best, but technical performance outside that isn't great. The Wan'er 2 has better accessories but they messed up the tuning a bit, the OG sounds better. The others are all good all-rounders (the Bunny is the only one I don't have, but based on the reviews it's fine, plus it has EQ).

FWIW, it’s very similar to the Wan’er S.G. II, just in a gorgeous shell, and ever so slightly brighter in tone. I like ‘em. They’re my “work” IEMs, almost entirely for aesthetic reasons.

Early reviewers said it's a bass cannon, that doesn't suck in vocals. That, for me, is a huge selling point since I own both Tangzu wan'er S.G jade green 1 & CVJ vivian. My only concern now is the QC issues they're also known with Defiant.

I don't really need clean vocals tbh. Just good enough that's not overshadowed by the bass, I'm down with that! Vivian's main issue is that female vocals are way too artificial sounding, and wan'er's is bass anemic. And also i have enough budget to try $100 iems :>

it is caused by air pressure inside the shell. Therefore, their 2nd iterations of collabs of Defiant, and this Fiesta, had ventilation holes to prevent pressure fatigue and damaging drivers.

So the Iem shouldn't be Bass because I have the the same iem and when I first bought it didn't like it at all it focuses more on vocals if I am not wrong and then I bought Headphone Zone X Tangzu Wan'er S.G it sounds same to me but at time passing it started to get better and I can literally listen some instruments in the music that are can not hear by normal earphone it's just my experience

I am currently using Tangzu Wan'er SG HeadPhoneZone Edition and let me tell you PROS : 1. Good Crisp Vocals 2. Good Left Right Separation 3. A decently good Soundstage for the price 4. The Bass and Treble is enough that it doesn't hurt to listen to your favourites CONS : 1. Made of resin Shells so might cause irritation to some users 2. Causes fitting issues with small ears like I have ears on smaller side so I have to use the smallest eartips and do the tight seal fitting before using them. 3. The wire is not that good quality wise , music wise it works fine 4. Gets Tangled easily. CONCLUSION : If you are a beginner and your budget is under 2k , I would recommend the Tangzu Wan'er SG as they have a warmth to the sound and the vocals are crisp. If you can get USB-C get that otherwise you can get 3.5mm like me and use external DAC which I prefer because it allows you to bypass the default Android Music Processing Protocols via PowerAmp or Apple Music while streaming.

Yes it does , before android 14 the OS used to resample all the audio to 48kHz But after the introduction of Android 14 , a feature of Bit-Perfect Audio was implemented which meant that the Audio quality or Bitrate will not be altered and will be sent to listening devices as is. Now using a DAC does allow you to bypass the Android's default audio processing but there's a catch and it is that this bit-perfect / DAC output feature should be available in both the device and Streaming service ( I think Apple Music Does ). The offline App that allows such feature is for Example Neutron Music Player. You can find more info about the topic on YouTube by a guy named TheHopelessGeek ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYFb3vQzxZs ) And if your laptop has a USB-C then you can use the DAC on it too.

I just got these for around 8 USD and I fully agree. I never identified as a basshead, but I do have the same preferences as you, and the Rosefinches are just something else. Some of us on most days just dont care for detail and want to relax to some beats after a long stretch of work. Probably a stretch to call it a budget Aful Explorer, but I was itching to buy one then these Rosefinches just sated that urge for me at a fraction of the price. I like that the size was surprisingly large for this price, and fits my ears just nice with minimal struggles. I tried both Tang Sancais and Tri Clarions.
