1. Arya Stealth - Fast and thumpy bass, great treble, and pretty good mids too. It's just a great all arounder imo, and for me I find them very comfortable with the headband and shape, I thought I would only like this for criticaly and analytical listening where I focus on the music, especially the instruments, but I ended up liking it for everything and every use case, even movies and games. They also take really well to EQ 2. Night Oblivion Butastur - smooth, really really smooth sound with great mids. The treble also has some sizzle, and the bass is probably some of yhe best bass I've had on a pure BA driver IEM. Also compared to other relatively priced IEMs, the shell is pretty small and fits comfortably and feels light, great for relaxing listening, or when listening to music while doing something else due to its comfort, and smoothness of sound. 3. Tangzu Xuanwu Gate - First off, this thing just looks Amazing. It's much more technical than the butastur, better bass and better treble. It's tuned ever so slightly U shaped, feels like neutral with just a bit of oomph for fun. Addicting sound, though mids don't sound nearly as good as the butastur does, it does sound more technical, better for analytical listening than the butastur, and the details are great on this thing. The shell size is huge though, and it is quite heavier, so it gets uncomfortable on the ears much quicker. 4. Harmonicdyne G200 - My EQ Machine. Just have to say, the base tuning sucks a lot, but this has so much value if you're part of the EQ gang. It's basically a mini LCD-X in EQ prowess, and its extremely fun to use when I have a lot of free tim, and just messing around with EQ on different songs, trying to bring out different parts of it at the same time. Stock pads, while extremely comfortable, doesn't seal properly and may need to be changed depending on your head. 5. Sennheiser HD600 - The vocals are great, probably the best. Amazing timbre too. But that's pretty much it for me with this thing, the bass is lacking, and yes it takes to EQ well, and I can EQ it to decent amounts still, but the treble also sounds veiled, or muffled, and I can't really get it to sound good in EQ either. I know people find it comfortable, and I do, for the first 20 minutes or so, until I start really feeling the clamp of the headband and it gets unbearable quick. This thing should've been great for movies and relaxed listening, but the lack of bass, veiled treble, and the very uncomfortable headphone clamp made it just not for me. I'm not selling it though, since I got these on the low second hand for around $130 I think. So It's still nice to have on the rotation sometimes, and I definitely get why a lot of people love them.
r/headphones • Rank your headphones (2025 edition) ->Tangzu Bajie are seriously underrated. Great set that competes with iems twice the price. These have excellent bass and are bass-head audiophile earphones. I also like the Tangzu XuanWu gate, which is more neutral and does not have as much bass, but enough. It has a smaller dynamic driver. The packaging on these is out of this world, btw, truly top tier.
r/inearfidelity • Favourite IEM for a $1000? ->I am using the Tangzu Xuanwu Gate and the Thieauduio Monarch MK3 for pieces like those. The Xuanwu Gate is surprisingly comparable to the Monarch MK3 even though costing almost 1/3 less and is actually preferable if you prefer a Soundstage that places you closer to the centre compared to the Monarch's further back positioning. The best comparison would be the Xuanwu Gate replicate and indoor concert hall Vs the Monarch's outdoor concert vibes.
r/inearfidelity • Studio4 vs AFUL Performer 8 vs TANCHJIM ORIGIN ->Hey guys 1 more day to go and I hope everyone got their IEMs collection expanded. Share what iems you got and which is ur favorite. Don't be shy all iems as long ur enjoying the music we all be happy, share ur experiences. Me? I got; - Aoshida E20 with the -25 dlls coupon from linsoul. - Quintet with the -50 dlls coupon from linsoul. - HBB Punch With the -150 dlls coupon from linsoul. - XuanWu Gate for -250 dlls from Aliexpress. I honestly like all of them but the looks of the XuanWu Gate is just mesmerizing. The Quintet is a very unique sounding IEM. HBB Punch well the chunky beast do what it does like nobody else and Aoshida Beryllium DD is my GFs favorite hahahaa.. figures..
r/iems • Share your Spring Sale Purchase!!! ->XuanWu Gate= made a new aliexpress account for a 10% first buy, -70dlls of over 400+ buys and their anniversary sale. Thanks for the extensive explanation they are at 200dlls in Amazon ill check them out. I use kiwi ears flex for all my iems since it tame the treble beautifully without losing details.
r/iems • Share your Spring Sale Purchase!!! ->S08 is best all around, if they were all same price it would be my #1 pick obviously but Xuan Nv would be #2, that said Artti T10 is best buy if we take prices into consideration and 7Hz Sonus also beats all of these
r/iems • Best out of these as my first iem ??? ->I tried the Cadenza briefly and it was decent. IEMs I had that lead up to the Aethers are the Kleans, Xuan Nv, Phoenix Calls, and EM6L. The Aether was a blind buy into a planar but each upgrade was looking for improvement in comfort, soundstage, and most importantly was detail/clarity. I was originally looking at the super mix 4.
r/iems • Next step from Kiwi Ear Aethers ->Whats your budget and what kind of gaming are you doing? My single-player go to is the Xuan Nv, it is a better Zero Red (much easier to wear, smaller nozzles). It's a good all rounder. For an iem it has good depth to sounds and a decent soundstage and imaging. It does do best with a dongle dac/amp but I can power it off a controller while playing console. I believe it is ranked on fresh reviews wallhack list for fps games too in the budget tier, but I don't really play those types of games much.
r/iems • IEM recommendations for gaming? ->If you're in the states you can get the Xuan Nv for around 80 (8 dollars off coupon, too) and a good dac/amp dongle like the KA13 which is on sale at amazon for 60 and be all set. The Xuan Nv comes with a decent cable and really good eartips that people often buy separately (tangzu Sancai - two sets, wide bore and balanced) It really is a great all rounder that is going to be comfortable for most people, short nozzle you don't have to have inserted super far into your ears and it's not super wide either.
r/iems • IEM recommendations for gaming? ->They were alright good seperation from all the sounds so you can hear all the gunfire/explosions etc without them blending together and can pick things out where things are coming from left to right but they don't have a lot of depth i.e. things close to you and far from you don't sound as stretched out as you would like in games like BF and Warthunder but they would be great in Valorant for example. I use the Xuan Nv (I play more single player games) and it is much better at that depth but not as good at the other stuff...think the S08 has everything happening in center of your head but the Xuan Nv can have sounds happen from the center to the outside of your skull...if that makes sense. If you've heard of the Zero Red it is a better but more expensive version of that. Honestly you should check out Fresh Reviews, he tests in multiple games, usually Valorant, Apex Legends (probably the most helpful test for your games), Rainbow Six. [This is his overall list, it has links to the reviews as well. ](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sHR4QwC1-YprWbjDEHtrz9qCQskY_uuOsAo-Amjznts/edit?gid=0#gid=0)Pay attention to the prices before watching the reviews though, lol.
r/iems • Is the Letshuoer S08 good? ->I play a lot of single player games and I think the Xuan Nv is very good for long play sessions. It has a good amount of bass that warms it up while still having decent treble, I never get fatigued even at reasonably high volume. It has the best soundstage out of the iems I own, it is both wide and pretty deep, it reaches the edges of your skull instead of being trapped inside, and footsteps feel like they are infront of me for third person games instead of the center of my head. The sound is nicely balanced, you don't have anything popping out too much in the mix, it works very well for movies/shows, too. It's nozzles are decent sized but also very short so you don't need to wear them deep into your ear canals. It's only about as much as a Hexa so not too much to check out (plus you get a couple sets of Sancai eartips, balanced and wide bore, in the box, which is a nice bonus).
r/iems • The best IEM's you have tried for Gaming? ->Xuan nv won't sound like qkz hbb, its more of a flat tuning, with darkish treble (like on qkz x hbb). If you really like the tuning of qkz x hbb then the possible upgrade is blon z300 x hbb. It should sound the same, but with higher quality drivers, and a little bit brighter treble. Qkz x hbb is my favorite iem and I can't find anything i like more. I hope the z300 won't disappoint. I tried nearly all warm-bass heavy iems with tamed treble. I just can't find anything better. If you want i could give you my opinion on blon z300 vs qkz hbb when I receive them.
r/iems • Any thoughts on the TANGZU x HBB XuanNv? ->For FPS em6l is what I’d go for. Much more comfortable and better imaging. I think they’re a sleeper in this area. If you want a relaxed, smooth set you can wear for hours without fatigue, for a little more money as well: Xuan Nv but look out for quality issues.
r/iems • IEM recommendations for gaming? ->for what you like, EW300 would be better, Nv is good but is more for people looking for nice vocals and not that much bass or treble, EW300 is more balanced and will have enough of everything you could be needing for music, since you have quite the variety of genres in library that is* As for tips, is not really a great idea to get some after ther fact because those can help with 1.- fit, and 2.- adjusting the sound, so, lets say, you get the Tang Sancai from Tanzu, which tame bass and treble and pushes vocals, if what you wanted ends up being more bass, less treble, then those wont work for you, so you really should consider get them after* If you really want options still, in my experience: Dunu Candy Tips are pretty good and affects too little the sound, it does reduce a bit bass and treble tho, but not as much as Sancai, they are really comfortable and also would help balance the sound more on the EW300, pushing the vocals a bit foward too.
r/iems • Best possible iem in the range of 60-80$. Considering the EW300 & Tangzu XuanNv ->Is recomended for gaming so i doubt is as bad as people say, lot of poeple often criticize based on way more expensive stuff (which would be criminal if it wasnt better) and also a lot of people are very nitpicky with this kind of stuff, so i doubt it doesnt have good female vocals or strings but XuanNV could be better specially for that, but i honestly dont think it would be as good for your other music genres. Besides, XuanNV is good but you really would want to have and use a dongle DAC with it tho. So thats a thing to consider if you do plan to go for them.
