While some here may tell you to buy a better headphone amp for the Sennheiser, disliking the sound that much just means it's not the sound you prefer. Preference is the biggest struggle of audio since price doesn't necessarily translate to the quality of someone's experience. I don't have fancy equipment like you as my best headphones are the BASN Asone planar IEMs. They have insane detail but suffer when it comes to tuning. Light in the bass, slightly forward upper midrange, and an emphasized upper treble that can be fatiguing. If the tuning was decent for my standards, this would be my favorite IEM but it isn't. I find myself using my Tin T3+ which is a $70 IEM. It's tuned amazingly with reasonable details/performance. It's simply enjoyable to listen to. If you give a pair of headphones, IEMs, or speakers a try for some time (I give it a week or two if the return policy allows) and you don't enjoy it for whatever reason, it's probably not for you. And that's fine. Liking what others dislike is a good thing, and vise versa. No shame in disliking something like that Sennheiser, it's just a different headphone. To help with future decision making, I recommend looking at measurements (really just frequency response is enough for most) to roughly know whether that's a sound you may enjoy, but that's still not a guarantee. You should also check more general reviews as well, I'm just mentioning measurements because if the tuning is bad enough, you'll definitely see it. But take measurements with a grain of salt. I do mind numbing levels of research on my stuff, and I sometimes make really terrible buying decisions regardless.

Last time i was interested in audio was back when TRI Starsea was popular (and so was the Yume). I cheaped out then and got the Starsea and T3+ instead of Yume. Funny how these 2 are long forgotten while Yume is still decently popular. Egh, HBB mentioned that "he still likes the T3+'s" once in 8 months old video but i doubt he ever uses it with everything he has. I'll wait for 11.11 to see what goes on sale and if there is nothing interesting (like Tea Pro as i am mostly looking for Vocal iem atm which i doubt since the TP is too new to go on sale) i may grab a pair of Yume's finally. I always liked how the faceplate looks and my library is everything really including lots of vocals. Maybe the Yume will bring the most of Rolling in the deep (at this respective price range of course). I wont even ask about the Bravery in 2024 as i read some of your other comments and you don't seem too happy with it (price to performance in current market). I'll cross it off my list. I didn't even know how old it was, just checked SeeAudio on Hifigo and saw its a step up in price from Yume.

Kiwi Ears Cadenza's are the best I've heard for Music only. I preferr them over the t3+, Zero red's, EW300 adn even Hexa's.

TinHiFi T3+. The other was a KZ 12 pro x, something like that. It’s impossible to remember their model numbers, and it’s been a while. A Rosefinch wasn’t far behind. The T3+ found an appreciative home, the Rosefinch went to someone else, but outside of an initial thank you, I never heard about it again, and KZ12 whatever went straight back to Amazon for a refund. And it wasn’t a cheap KZ IEM, it was in the upper level of their budget pricing.

TinHiFi T3+. Hated them. Ended up giving them to a friend who still loves them.

It fell, and the left side broke in like 4 different parts. It was just 2 months old. It was pretty weird, my previous IEMs (Tin t3+) fell a lot of times, but I think I got unlucky (and also probably should take care of them a bit more lmao) Still debating between buying another pair when they go on sale, or getting a different IEM :(

If you do not have Tangzu Fudu or Tin T3+ as a recommendation, you have lost the plot. Just saying. Dan continues to have them both in his hall of fame to this day. 6/10 post
