"But in the case of nova, the large shell already sits perfectly fine in my ear and surprisingly the small tips are giving me a better seal which is not the case with other IEMs as in the other IEMs, it feels like they will come out. I think it's because Nova's nozzle goes deeper than other IEMs?"

"nova's biggest downside. ... nova sometimes provides a short (and could be deadly) peak when vocal pronunciation such as 'T', 'S', etc. is initiated. ... This is definitely a distraction on certain tracks, including vocals, although it is not usually noticeable. ... It may not be suitable for those who want a comfortable listening. ... Form definitely suppresses bad treble, but the sound gets messy."

"Nova lacks in the bass punch feel"
I started tinkering with various ear tips and found that the shorter they are, the better they sound. It was like night and day, everything was better.
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->Usually you can take a hairdryer or even lighter and heat up the thermal sleeve around the cable and reshape it while it’s warm. I have done that on an AliExpress cable that I currently use on my Novas. The fabric sleeved cable that came with the Novas has too many microphonics and this new cable sounds better.
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->Try the shortest tips that are wide enough to seal your ear canal. Mine are so short that you can easily see those 3 driver bandpass holes. It's all a matter of experimenting with the ergonomics and how they fit your ears but for me and my Nova's, shorter tips are definitely better. https://preview.redd.it/f4yc9omovgke1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce61e64e37eff67b7b703c143a2a2d14907df3bb
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->I think it’s all a matter of taste. Perhaps there should be a greater discussion on how IEM tip length, width, tip shape material, length, width and how all of that correlates with the ear canal, all with measurable evidence. This is more or less the same discussion as loudspeaker room placement but at such a small scale that measurements become exponentially harder to get.
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->I'll just say this straight up—these things are ***amazing*** However, there is a caveat. The stock tips on this are extremely horrible. It makes the IEMs extremely bright. The treble is literally piercing my ears without eartip changing. Give it some good wide bore eartips like the Coffee or (on my case) Moondrop Spring Tips and you bring out it's full potential. This is gonna be a *dumb* comparison (and thing to say). However out of all my IEMs—my Truthear Nova has the most oomph and spice. My Blessing 3 has the most clarity and detail. I'd say the Daybreak is a good middle ground. It has the right amount of spice and oomph like the Nova however with better clarity. It is **not** as clear as the Blessing 3. However, for the price range—it's really damn good. 170 USD for this is an amazing value. Regarding everything else, the accesories for this IEM are.....meh. But honestly that's fine. You can order wide bore eartips like the Spring Tips online for 10 USD. I don't expect them to make the box and accesories extra fancy due to them cutting cost to (probably) keep this IEM at a good price range. *Should you buy this?* Yeah, I would say go for it if you're willing to change eartips. And I'd say also yes if you listen to exciting types of music (J-Pop, K-Pop, video game OST) because it really does a damn job. I would check out Listener's review regarding this on the Headphones website. He explains everything much better than me. I just wanted to leave my opinion regarding this on Reddit. Anyways, thanks for listening to my IEM TED talk. Hope y'all have a good weekend!
r/iems • Crinear Daybreak - Short Review ->So its not miles ahead of the supermix 4 then. I'm currently stuck in the budget-barely midfi price bracket with S12 pros, TE Nova, Ziigaat Arcadia and I can't convince myself if its evem worth going higher in price especially since I got all of these at big discounts.
r/iems • My Ziigaat Horizon Review - Detail Beast? ->I've listened to all except KE4, and base on what i thought: 1. If you like bass than the others: Aful Explorer with "L-shape sound signature" (on small volume). If you crank up volume to medium-high, sounds will much better but still focus on bass, especially subbass. 2. Harman enjoyer: Truthear Nova/Supermix 4 with "Harman/U-shape sound signature". SM4 will have more subbass than midbass, but doesn't bleeding to mid. Uppermid/female vocal sounds really good. Treble also, and feel it somehow better than Nova. If you like the "rumble" in your ears, you'll prefer SM4 than Nova, although both of them are Harman sound signature. 3. Less bass, vocal more sparkle than Harman: KE4 with "Meta/JM-1". Although I said I haven't listened KE4, but I experienced some higher "kinda" have same sound signature, like Softears Volume S/Thieaudio Hype 4. Sounds nearly perfect to me, not too much or too less bass, but vocal really shines overall. Treble reached enough height to not become too harsh like the name "meta". 4. Least bass of all with higher treble is S12 Pro. Cuz of Planar driver, the bass isn't really have much quantity, but it has good control, hit really tight, and decay very fast, which is not good for basshead. Treble is what it did best, it perfectly fit if you like listen to some genres with treble focus like orchestra or sth related. But if you like, you listen to many different genres, I recommend you choose Ziigaat Odyssey. Unboxing experience/packaging is very bad cuz they spent all money to the iems itself. Thats why it sounds good. If this will be your first iems then I recommend you should buy few cheap iems first to find out your liking. Tangzu Wan'er 2 for Vocal, Kinera Celest Wyvern Abyss/Wyvern Black Remaster (will release soon) for Bass, and Moondrop Lan for Treble. From what I learnt, the number of drivers is not the factor decides that iems is good or not. Look at the KZ, dumped in a hell lot of drivers, and it still sounds like dogshit to me. Compare to Aful Magicone, which uses only one BA driver, but it can make none of the bullshit KZ with the same, even higher price range can mess up with Magicone. Or higher we have Softears Twilight which is my future target, have only one Dynamic Driver at price 800$, but it still have a lot of respect from many audiophiles. Even higher? Sennheiser IE900, 1500$, still 1 Dynamic also.
r/iems • best 100-200$ iems ->KiwiEars Airoso. Get it while its still under $100. >Truthhear Gate, Tanchjim Bunny, and KZ Klean for a blind buy or the Truthhear Hexa, Truthhear Nova and Letshouer 12 Pro (but my friend said the 12 Pro has weird bass) Gate = No. Plastic shell resonates. Feels like garbage. People that love the gate, i question all of their listening tastes. Bunny = Fantastic. Probably one of the best $20 IEM's available. The USB DSP and app make it more fun. KZ Klean = Uh... Kefine Klean, maybe? Kefine Klean is a great choice at $50. But i think the Inawaken Dawn is better. Hexa = Good, but very dull to someone who is new to the hobby, and used to V shaped tunings (i.e. boosted bass and treble, Hexa is very flat) Nova = Tuned to the popular Harmon Curve. Which is very V shaped. THe Simgot SuperMix4 is a common alternative. S12 Pro = Planar. Fantastic IEM. BUT...and this is probably why your buddy said ti had "weird bass", it will require you to use a higher powered Dongle DAC/Amp, because Planars need a lot of power to push around. If you underpower them, they sound muddy, thuddy, and dead. With enough power, they have amazing tactility and speed. But they do suffer from a somewhat metalic timbre that can be off putting to some people, as they are not "natural" sounding. But very fun. Overall, like i said, i think the KiwiEars Airoso is your best bet. It is a hybrid IEM that plays very clean, provides tons of detail, and bass when you need it. And seems to play about every genre of music you throw at it, without feeling like its lacking. Its not a neutral tuning, but it plays naturally. If that makes sense?
r/iems • [IEM Recommendation] ~$100 Budget | Hard Rock, Jazz, 80s, J-Pop (Old & Modern), Lo-fi ->Hello, today I'm going to review a pretty famous iem. Audio fans who have already reached deep levels will be familiar with nova. So, I'll provide some key information for iem beginners. Pros Design: The blue shell design is one of the most valuable designs I've ever seen at this price point in the iem. It's a beautiful shell that looks like an ocean, and it's also like a fish scale. Components: Good unboxing experience, great additional ear tips and cables. There is also a demand for anime characters that have settled on top of the packaging.. lol (I used a different cable in my photo because my nova's fastening is not good.) Detail: nova offers good detail for the price. Easily reveals micro details on many instruments. No complaints. Suitable for gaming as well. Resolution: This is the best strength of nova that I've picked. Nova even solves intractable tracks like rock, metal quite easily. It's pretty impressive. It's not easy to find anything better at this price point. instrument representation: Exciting drum with moderate air, textural representation of electric guitar, cymbals that are not sharp but definite.. overall musical instrument representation is pretty good. The clarity of the piano is a bit unfortunate, but overall it's fine. Tonal balance: nova is an iem that makes a good application of one of the most popular targets, the haman target. This may be less attractive for those who want an unique balance, but it certainly isn't easy to go wrong. Nova is evenly suited to popular music, and has a highly versatile tonal balance. No range is overwhelming. Cons Big shells: hmm..quite big. They may not fit people with small ears. Cable: While the value of cable is high, its quality and design may be unfamiliar to some users. (Not the one in my picture. ) 8k peak: nova's biggest downside. nova sometimes provides a short (and could be deadly) peak when vocal pronunciation such as 'T', 'S', etc. is initiated. This is definitely a distraction on certain tracks, including vocals, although it is not usually noticeable. It may not be suitable for those who want a comfortable listening. Soundstage: Not suitable for those who want a wide soundstage. Soundstage is below average. Conclusion nova is the right iem for greedy people who want to get an all-rounder iem with great technicality and musicality. I think it's definitely one of the most valuable iem for the price. But you also have to consider the downsides. If you're sensitive to high notes or if you value wide soundstage, other iems might be a better option. Thank you for reading! I'll see you next time with a more interesting review.
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->Nova's design is cool, but there are more people having problems with build quality than I thought. ( and Me too..) I've also seen broken nova shells a few times.
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->For gaming I’m sure the novas would be fine audio wise, but I would keep in mind that most people find them uncomfortable, one of the most important things to take into consideration for gaming.
r/iems • Best iems for gaming ->If you're competent with parametric eq, the best option is truthear nova and I will die on that hill. Supermix 4 is fine if you like spicy upper treble. Blessing 2 is a no imo, it was good for its time, right now no
r/iems • Help me pick IEMs (around 100-150$ used) ->I think the truthear nova is my go to iem for j-pop and female vocals
r/iems • IEMs for a very specific case. ->People really like harman tuned iems for gaming, the best of which in the price range is the Truthear nova.
r/iems • Best IEM for gaming (pinpoint audio) ->Moondrop Chu, and no. The Kato is the only Moondrop iem I still have and use. I liked the Aria but gave it to a friend to try to get him into iems (I failed). The Chu was good enough to get me into iems, but not good enough to keep me listening. I don't even know where they are now, lol. Of the early iems that I bought, I only have and listen to the Truthear Hexa (lifeless but decent, with wonderful imaging) and that Truthear Harmon-tuned one that Crinacle did with the subwoofer (I forget the name). It is fatiguing, but it is exciting until it wears me down. Good for techno. I listen mostly to the Aful P5, the Chopin, the Letshour S12, and the Kato now. Sometimes at home, I listen to the P8 and the Xenn Mangrid Top (they are too expensive to lug around with me--I have a $200 limit on iems that I'm willing to take in my backpack).
r/iems • What was your first IEM, and do you still use it? ->I had similar story, so I have this friend/colleague since in college year then we work together in same company for the last 11 years...he is very picky person when it's come about gadget, bike, apparel etc...when I bought kadenz I let him try and he asked me if we can go to audio store because he loved it but he doesnt have budget to buy kadenz so I bring him to test many iems in my friend audio store...he is apple fanboy from macbook, mac mini, airpods and airpods max he have it and I said to him this iems will blow your ear with only half or maybe 1/4 airpods cost...3 hours in audiostore try from monarch mk3 to chu 2, he said to me he love truthear nova and zero red but sadly the store only have demo unit because both of them is out of stock...he decide to pre-order zero red maybe 2-3 months until available then he asked me if he can borrow one of my iem then he chose Kefine Klean or simgot ea500lm and he chose Klean, now he try to find portable dac for his liking...so IMO iems come with many profiles thats why I like about iem worlds, even in price range 50-80 some people will find it's much better from airpods pro...I'm new in this world too, I try to enjoy some iem in several price range because no one fit for all...
r/inearfidelity • Are $70 IEMs noticeably better than $20 IEMs In most ways? Or is it not enough of an upgrade? ->I do prefer the nova over the Hexa, and the tuning is closer to the blue:2
r/iems • Finally stepping into the IEM world – Need help choosing between Truthear HEXA or Zero:BLUE2 + DAC/AMP advice? ->Unpopular opinion: Truthear Nova. This set is accurate for music listening, great for movies and any in-game cinematic, and the separation is awesome. The spacial sound is awesome because Truthear accounted for the HRTF characteristics but a little tight, you get used to it It's my all rounder and you definitely don't need anything else. If you're all serious about competitive gaming, just watch any Fresh Reviews video. He didn't like the Nova but I think it was a tip issue (the included tips are narrow) I definitely hear all the audible clues like steps and abilities in Valorant, way better than my teammates
r/iems • What are the best IEM's on a $20-$130 price range. ->Holy shi... I got them for 112
r/iems • What are the best IEM's on a $20-$130 price range. ->For whatever reason Truthear novas are my best experience at gaming so far, it feels more correct and 3d and detailed. Even tho I fon tend to use it for music as much
r/iems • IEM recommendations for gaming? ->I can’t help but shake my head watching that video — or anyone who quotes it, honestly. There’s a part where he says he disagrees with websites that list JM-1 targets as one category and neutral as another. I don’t know… but I just don’t like the sound of the newer Meta-tuned IEMs at all. To me, they don’t sound neutral — for example, the Truthear Nova and Kiwi KE4 both sound pretty bleh. They’re definitely not neutral in my book. That said, I do love the Studio4 — and it doesn’t follow any of the “rules” mentioned in that video. But is undoubtedly more neutral than any hogwash from those other IEMs.
r/iems • The literal best neutral iem ->ok, I have tried the small size tip today with my Nova. And honestly, I think the bass response has increased because the driver holes are closer to my ear. I have large ear & generally go for a medium tip without trying the small size. But in the case of nova, the large shell already sits perfectly fine in my ear and surprisingly the small tips are giving me a better seal which is not the case with other IEMs as in the other IEMs, it feels like they will come out. I think it's because Nova's nozzle goes deeper than other IEMs?
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->it depends on which tuning u prefer. Nova & SM4 are harman, with Nova having smooth upper treble while SM4 is spicy (personally haven't tried SM4). Explorer is kinda L-shaped with warm bass (bass is worth it), flat mid & flat treble. Although on graph, explorer seems dark & it is dark, but not that much. it's still resolving & not muffled and scales very well. But, explorer lacks that spark or shine in the upper treble. KE4 follows meta/JM1 tuning & s12 pro is typically planar having that spicy treble (personally haven't tried KE4 & s12 pro) Personally, my favourite is Nova, followed by explorer.
r/iems • best 100-200$ iems ->In my quest for the best gaming IEM, I've tried or owned the Tanchjim Oxygen, TripowinxHBB Olina, Softears RSV, Simgot EM6L, Letshuoer EJ07, Truthear Nova, and ZiiGaat Odyssey, among others not worth mentioning. Some $2,000 invested in my handicap of not being able to use open back headphones, which is most ideal for gaming by nearly every measure. Fuck me for having heatsinks for ears! What I've learned is that staging and, to a lesser degree, imaging are critical, yet often under appreciated when you see answers to the question of the best gaming IEM. By staging I mean being able to determine exactly where a particular sound (such as footsteps) is coming from in 2 or, ideally, 3 dimensional space, as well as distinguish it from other similar sounds coming from that direction that are even slightly nearer, farther, above, or below. Currently, the ZiiGaat Odyssey, paired with DTS:X Headphones (worth paying for! Stick with balanced), Tripowin foam tips, and a decent DAC+AMP, is serving me the best in FPS games on PC like OW2, Squad, Battlefield, Marvel Rivals, and STALKER 2. Of all the IEMs I've tried, Odyssey's staging is the widest, most accurate, and most immersive for my ears. All the others I mentioned are varying degrees of "effective enough" at ensuring that I hear footsteps, but the Odyssey beats them all at telling me exactly where those footsteps are in 3 dimensions. It's also great for general purpose listening.
r/inearfidelity • IEM for gaming ->No EQ. I quite like the out-of-the-box sound of the Odyssey, with the stock cable and foam tips. For gaming I use DTS:X Headphones (Balanced, no preset). For music I sometimes swap to either the Nova or EJ07, but Odyssey is decent enough for general purpose. Nova just strikes the perfect sweet spot for my music library and the EJ07 is great for focused listening, where I want to immerse myself. The Odyssey is a great balance between them, no EQ necessary. Although the foam tips the Odyssey comes with are great, they will eventually degrade at some point so I've been sampling other tips to prepare. I've been using the Divinus Velvet Wide Bore tips almost exclusively for the last month and they're great. Of the handful of 3rd party tips I've tried thus far, they're the only tips that meet or beat the stock foams for most of my listening content. For gaming, I think the Divinus tips further improve on the 3d imaging accuracy.
r/inearfidelity • IEM for gaming ->If you don't have any fit issues then i suggest nova. Otherwise ie200.
r/iems • Truthear Nova or Sennheiser IE200? ->separation a bit harder since headphones have wider stage and iirc sundara had good separation, but detail for sure, my cca hydro and truthear nova i had have more detail than both sundara and lcd-2c. kima 2 I've heard is good it looks a bit warm, maybe not detail focused, but should still be fine. if you want detail i would get something like nova, hydro, em6l, defiant, maybe ziigaat crescent, xenns tea pro for higher end and still bassy.
r/iems • Recommend iem please ->Truthear Novas are really good for FPS games, highly recommend
r/iems • Gaming IEMs under 150$ ->If you have the budget of $150, I'd recommend looking towards Truthear Nova, because it would be a much better IEM than Hexa. Not to say that Hexas are bad, no, it's just that Novas are WAY better than the Hexas
r/iems • Is the Truthear Hexa still worth it in 2025? ->Truthear Nova sounds amazing at that price point 👌 The Explorer is getting a lot of positive reviews as well, but I haven't had the chance to listen to them myself.
r/iems • best 100-200$ iems ->Lots of different tunings here, but if it’s your first pair or you are newer to the hobby I’d lean my recommendation toward something more on the Harmon target like the Supermix 4 or the Truthear Nova. Only reason I’d give the nod to the Supermix 4 would be comfort as the Nova is a little big for a lot of people.
r/iems • best 100-200$ iems ->Truthear Nova. I like the tuning.
r/headphones • What's your go to IEM for your work commute? ->What exactly do you mean by warm and clear? If you are open to using an EQ preset and getting an IEM not on your list, then I highly recommend Truthear Novas. They have the most crystal clear treble I've heard without sounding bright, and are my favourite pair of headphones right now, better than any planar over-ears I have. Novas are definitely are not warm out of the box. They are quite hard on the ears without EQ honestly. But any EQing that needs to be done is below 3KHz so you can get them sounding warm without altering the excellent treble. r/iems • Which iem should i buy.? I prefer clarity and warm sound and i listen to all genre ->Truthear Nova. Been using them for almost 2 years now. They are endgame for me. (Because I haven't even tried any costlier IEMs, let alone use for longer time).
r/iems • Share your favourite IEMs ->Love my novas. Great for gaming and music
r/iems • What are the best IEM's on a $20-$130 price range. ->Truthear Nova if u can get a promo to 100$ or Truthear zero's ( blue or red both good for 40$/50$) Don't get em6l - they are good in only comp games (you can hear the footsteps , directions etc but for me its sounds off, have a muddy feel) , Nozzle - issues (falling apart ), super smooth nozzle causes tips to pop out
r/iems • Best iems for gaming. ->My first proper IEM, the KATO got it at pre-order launch at $140 and as a pre-order it also bundled with the KATO arcylic stand and their Line-K Cable. Man even now I can't forget how ecstatic I was when I recieved the set and even now I rarely use them (as I often now use the Truthear NOVA) I still appreciate them everytime I gotta use them. With the DAC, I just go with the JM6 Pro, cheap, reliable, portable, very versatile and matches well the IEMs I have,
r/iems • What is your Favorite IEM /DAC? ->I have not, unfortunately. But I own the Truthear Zero Blue and Nova, both of which are built decently enough. I've also heard the build of the Wan'er can be questionable at times, so I believe they wouldn't too different from the Gate. I do understand how the design with the clear window inside can look a bit sketchy, I'm not exactly sure why they went for that...
r/iems • Looking for a White, Budget-Friendly IEM for Gaming and Music ->Hey I have the novas, did you end up giving these IEMS a shot?
r/headphones • Simgot Supermix 4! Ask Me Anything + Review ->Yeah I have the Novas right now as my first set of IEMs and don’t get me wrong I love them, but I’m thinking about returning them to Amazon and getting a few cheaper IEMs with different sound signatures to to see what I like
r/headphones • Simgot Supermix 4! Ask Me Anything + Review ->Truthear nova, good qc, measurements are very good, easy to eq. Only downside is that they're kinda big. Hexas are good too, but they have reliability issues, wouldn't buy them as endgame pair.
r/iems • Best IEMs around $300? ->Truthear Nova is way better, but EM6L is one of the best models under $100.
r/iems • Is the SIMGOT EM6L a perfect all rounder? ->Truthear Nova, not even a question.
r/iems • Stuck on choosing Iem under 150-170$ ->I picked them up because of ArtIsWar. He always gives good recommendations, so I went for it. I also bought the Truthear Novas & 7Hz G1 because of him, and both sound good to me (for their price). Thank you for answering!
r/iems • BigBuck's Amazon Prime Deals Picks, and Buying Advice. ->Before I answer,: 1) as someone said earlier, Iems are not nessesarily good for gaming, It's just cheaper to get better audio than other choices(earbuds, headphones, etc.) 2.) Please use instrument sounds next time as it is easier to suggest any sound device than sayiing genre. Anyways, I'd recommend based on price(highest to lowest): 1.) Truthear Nova: try to find one on sale as they are really good for footsteps and has a nice case. 2.) Moondrop may: neutral with a bit of bass boost. Good for most songs and games. 3.) Truthear zero: red: more neutral than the may. Nozzle may be too big for small ear cannal users 4.) Truthear zero: blue 2: more bass than the red nad has better cables than the red. This will come in april 20. 5.) Kiwi ears cadenza: really good for the price. Competes with the truthear zero blue
r/iems • Please recommend IEMs for gaming, ideally 40-70$ ->Moondrop Variations for me. Sounded lifeless, wierd, grainny and compressed. I had very high expectations before hearing them, both my friend and I found them to be absolutely horrible. Used multiple tips and that didn't change a thing. I also didn't like 64 Audio Volur when I heard em, sounded peaky and brittle. Thieaudio Monarch MK3, CA Trifecta, Hidizs MP145, Letshuoer S15 and Truthear Nova on the other hand were amazing. To each his own, It's all about the music library, tastes and ear anatomy.
r/iems • Which IEM made you go 'nope' instantly? 😆 ->Truthear nova is good and suits my needs. I found it good for all genres
r/iems • $250 IEM’s ->Almost 10 years since i had first bought my KZ ZS5 - been demoing iem at various places ever since. Hmm, i might have undersold my experiences a bit. But i would say binary acoustics x gizaudio collab iem is pretty nice - since 11.11 is coming up soon you should probably pickup Davinci by Dunu, or if you are very very tight on money you can opt to pick up Truthear Pure. If you want harman tuning, theres always the truthear novas. As far as I know the Novas sound 95% identical to Moondrop Variations, and the details should be there as well. I daily drive moondrops at the gym. Best of luck.
r/iems • What does more expensive IEMs bring to the table in terms of audio quality? ->Hey, I don't recommend the Supermix 4 as the treble is too much for me (I get fatigue over time). If you wanna stick with Harman I would go with the Truthear Nova for 50quids less ( https://amzn.asia/d/hKDOjKv https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=JM-1_Target,SuperMix_4,Nova_TE&bass=8&tilt=0&treble=-4&ear=0 ) or for 60Aud more I would look at the binary x GIZAUDIO Chopin (https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=JM-1_Target,SuperMix_4,Nova_TE,Chopin&bass=8&tilt=0&treble=-4&ear=0 https://amzn.asia/d/atqSDLt ) or the Tanchjim Kara if you want a bit less bass but still Harman for 30Aud more than the supermix (https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=JM-1_Target,SuperMix_4,Nova_TE,Chopin,Kara&bass=8&tilt=0&treble=-4&ear=0 https://amzn.asia/d/azPlx2G ) Some other Iems I would personally pick over the Supermix 4 would be the Kiwi Ears Ke4 for $295 (after coupon https://amzn.asia/d/23yycCS) as well as the Quintet for $291 (after coupon https://amzn.asia/d/4upC76P ). https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=JM-1_Target,SuperMix_4,Quintet,KE4&bass=8&tilt=0&treble=-4&ear=0 Edit: for the dongle I would probably just pick the koondrop echo b, kiwi ears allegro mini or fiio ja11. Doesn't matter that much.
r/iems • First Chifi IEMs - Supermix 4 or something else? ->Had a similar experience with the Truthear Nova’s. I think IEMs just aren’t for me. I prefer over ears I guess.
r/inearfidelity • Trying Hard to love the Zero Red ->I have novas and while I agree the sound quality is great but the build quality isn’t all that. I have had multiple issues with the cable disconnecting and the eartips provided seem to have difficulty staying connected
r/iems • Truthear nova pros and cons review: near perfection ->Tbh between the noise from the cable moving around and the noise of the street/transit I don’t really like using wired IEMs when traveling that much. Can’t appreciate the sound quality and they’re just kind of inconvenient. Noise canceling headphones are more convenient and then I switch to IEMs when I get where I’m going (currently Truthear Novas)
r/headphones • What's your go to IEM for your work commute? ->My nova, which one side shattered :(
r/iems • What is your favorite beautiful looking IEM? ->It fell, and the left side broke in like 4 different parts. It was just 2 months old. It was pretty weird, my previous IEMs (Tin t3+) fell a lot of times, but I think I got unlucky (and also probably should take care of them a bit more lmao) Still debating between buying another pair when they go on sale, or getting a different IEM :(
r/iems • What is your favorite beautiful looking IEM? ->Talked with truthear support (through Aliexpress, they responded surprisingly fast), They'll sell me a left unit for $45, not sad about it anymore
r/iems • What is your favorite beautiful looking IEM? ->>My nova, which one side shattered :( I was talking about the Truthear NOVA lmao
r/iems • What is your favorite beautiful looking IEM? ->Really surprised the truth ear nova’s aren’t on that list. For $130 USD I don’t think there’s anything comparable to their quality.
r/iems • These are the most recommended IEMs on Reddit (r/iems VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->The comfort department is often overlooked I feel. I just got a pair of tipsy M3’s and they are a lot smaller than the truthear nova’s I had been using. The m3’s are so much more comfortable and they fit well with pretty much any tip. The nova’s required me buying a bunch of aftermarket tips to be comfortable. They also just sound so much cleaner. That being said they were only $200, I’m not gonna spend any more than that on IEM’s.
r/iems • I'm a beginner, how can a $500/1000+ dollar IEM be better then a $70-200 one? ->So I just happen to be a truck driver and a beginner audiophile. For long long conversations I use the Garmin headset. It's okay. But for good music, and a pretty good phone call experience I use the Truthear Nova IEM's (in ear monitor) paired with the Moondrop FreeDSP USB-C cord. I have a Samsung S24 Ultra. This combo is without a doubt the best headphone experience I've ever tried. My buddies say that the mic is pretty good even with my windows down. Altogether on Amazon it's about 180. So still cheaper then the newest Galaxy Buds/ Beats/ Sony/ whatever name brand wireless earbuds you wanna try.
r/Truckers • Best earbuds? ->Dunu titan s2 or Dunu kima 2 is what I think suits your preferences. Titan s2 has good bass with textural qualities. Mids on kima 2 are more pronounced but smoother than s2. S2 has better dynamics overall and is more of a fun sound. Both have very good timbre but kima feels more natural. Hexa is more of a neutral mid range iem, it lets you observe the sound but not necessarily feel the bass defintion. I didnt really like s08, planar bass is more of a wave feeling motion and the tuning was too neutral. Nova lacks in the bass punch feel but everything is kind of smooth on it while having good vocals. Fudu is decent but the air roll off kind of is a dealbreaker for me. On a random side note you should look into kz zvx pro, it has very clean bass shelf without it feeling lacking. I know its in the budget but the tuning on it feels so technical for its price. It doesn't lack anything the staging, imaging, and layering all sound great. It blends musicality with good technicaity and I can say it rivals alot of $80 or under pairs.
r/iems • Recommend me an iem around 100 usd. ->Depends how picky you are about listening experience. If you listen music in commute settings, the Galaxy buds will br more practical. If you’re at home listening to new albums for the first time in Hi-Res and like the analytical approach, yes IEMs will be more suited. Depends on the genre as well. If you’re into instrumental (jazz, ambient, IDM), it is imo worth it to spend in the 200$ range for a good pair of neutral cans. I can suggest the Binaryaudio Chopin, the Truthear Nova or Final A5000. All quite neutral (Truthear has a better bass response, Final has higher treble clarity and open soundstage), the best thing would be to try them for a few hours with different sources.
r/inearfidelity • Are iems better then the samsung buds pro 2? ->If you care about your listening experience and value music as music should be, then yes, IEMs (along with a good digital/analog source and quality files) are a must. Good music and love for music should ground you in the present and prevent you from doing anything else. If so, then even an entry level pair will be beneficial. Be mindful of what you listen to, what tuning you like and your budget. I listen to bass heavy IDM and jazz mostly, I can’t use the same pair of IEM for both genres. I use the Truthear Nova for its intimate stage, bass resolution and warm mids that work well with digital instruments and synths; and a pair of Final A5000 and its expanded soundstage for live jazz recordings for example. Then you’ll further EQ to your liking. All of this can be done with an entry level budget of around 50-80$, but you’ll wonder why you didn’t invest a bit more earlier when you go beyond the 250$ range, where some exceptional models can be found.
r/iems • Should I get IEM's? ->I’d add the Truthear Nova. Sub 300$, neutral Harmann.
r/iems • what is the most sonically accurate iem under 300 ->For clarity in that price point, best I have currently is the Truthear Nova. Details and separation are great and everything is clear. I usually don't listen to rock on the Nova but I already them in my ears and just decided to listen to the 4 horsemen (metallica song) guitar solo. The lead and rhythm guitars were separated so cleanly, you could focus on either if you want or just enjoy them together.
r/iems • In ear monitors with best clarity ~150$ ->Although I don't have them myself, I hear really good things about the Softears Studio 4 for female vocal centred music like citypop. It's base price is $449 but you can definitely get it for less than $400 on sale to stay within your budget. The set I currently use for citypop and similar genres is the Truthear Nova, which I personally really enjoy for vocal-centric music. If it's possible for you to demo iems, I'd highly suggest you demo a few sets because only *you* can judge how good a particular set sounds to you.
r/iems • IEMs for a very specific case. ->Get the Truthear Nova and use it with foam tips.
r/iems • Truthear Nova or Sennheiser IE200? ->Same here I was using them for gaming I had all the truth ears up to the xenns iems for competitive fps. Then I got super lucky found a brand new sealed Astro a40 with the mixamp like a month ago bought it for $300 and i will never go back to iems like ever ever
r/iems • I quit ->I love the sound of the Blue 2’s, but I tried the Tangzu Fudu, Kiwis and 7hz - the only reason I’m considering others is because they feel so much better in my ears. But the sound signature has been better on the Truths by far
r/iems • Truthear Hexa is Still Goated ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
