Ultimate Ears - UE 11 Pro

Switched to IEMs last year full time and couldn’t be happier. Went with the Ultimate Ear Pro 11s.

I am a little disappointed in the responses here, but not surprised. I see a lot of excuses being made for what amounts to a poorly executed audio reproduction device. The harsh reality is that custom molds generally have pretty terrible frequency response and the market in general is way behind the times. There have been a few custom molded IEM's measured at sites like ASR and boy do they look bad. Doesn't matter how much you spend either, these companies are mostly focused on creating molds with good fitment, sound quality is typically considered after that (if at all). They certainly have some catching up to do, but most are still stuck in the past of ridiculous marketing like multiple drivers which data shows are clearly not necessary. My band and myself all use cheap off the shelf IEM's for performance and often tracking/jamming and I've never gotten a complaint. I did purchase one pair of custom IEM's from ultimate ears but was shocked to find they sounded and measured terribly. I only use them as ear plugs now.
