Second this, this is around what I paid as well. electricxiaomi Store or GZZB Store have them for $207, and in a sale you'd be able to get a further $20-25 or so off on top of that. I ended up at $195 including the shipping in the Anniversary Sale (March) last year. I wouldn't trust GZZB Store as far as I could throw him if anything went wrong, but I did get both things I ordered from him. Not sure these stores still have the items though, they are coming up in Google but seem to be out of stock now. I'd agree they are absolutely not worth $350 at this stage with all the stuff that has come out since. But they are an interesting sound with a notably wide sound stage and worth considering at around $200.

Cables don't play much part in sound unless the cable is just absolute trash. The Tea Pro isn't going to benefit from a cable upgrade unless you're willing to A/B them with a $100+ just to see. I saw no difference between the stock cable, a Tripowin Zonie, or the cables included with my Elixir, Dynaquattro, and Quintet. As for tips, they all change sound to some degree. What are you looking to change in the sound of the Tea Pro to make it better for you? What are you driving them with?

I had the Tea Pros and returned them. Yeah, absolutely amazing for gaming. PUBG and CoD:WZ were fantastic. Underwhelming for anything else. Actually made my ears ring to be honest. Couldn't justify keeping $350 IEMs that hurt my hearing ONLY for gaming.

I appreciate the Tea Pro for a lot of things, but for me the treble presentation was enough to make one or both of my ears ring at different times during the period that I owned them. The BA timbre was also a bit much through the high mids and lower treble for my taste. For gaming they were absolutely amazing for competitive play. I could hear everybody and pinpoint them exactly where they were. I've never run across better. However, I couldn't justify keeping a $360 pair of headphones just to play competitive games every now and again. Got the Dunu DaVinci and I gotta say... 90% of everything the Tea Pro is good at, the DaVinci also is... and then the other 10% it's better. The mids are more natural on the DaVinci, and I love that kind of accuracy, plus I could make out more detail (a good recording displaying guitar string fret rattle or the skipping of a bow across double bass strings) over the Tea Pro. I'm glad that you found something that you enjoy, though. For many people this seems to be a very very good set, and I had similarly high expectations when I purchased them for myself.

They certainly have treble issues, and if OP feels that the Hexa are a bit sharp, he'll feel that with the Tea Pros. I know I did.

The Simgot EM6L gets recommended often. So does the Simgot SuperMix4. I have no personal experience with those as I don't like brightly tuned headphones/IEMs. My go-tos have been a heavily EQd set of KiwiEars Quintets. Just picked up the Binary Acoustics Dynaquattros and, despite their bassy tuning, they're surprising me. Was gaming with Truthear Hexa, and the KZ ZAX before that. The Hexa is pretty good for games, bit can be a little piercing with reloads and bullet shells in some games. The KZ ZAX was just a treble monster, and I disliked it. You could try to find a pair of used Mangird Tea 2s as their tuning works well for games without being piercing. A word of advice regarding driving these things... If you're going to try to use a controller to drive your IEMs, try to buy a unit that gets close to 32 ohms input impedance. Any less than that and you're running the risk of serious audio issues, depending on which units ypu buy. For reference, the Simgot SuperMix4 is a multidriver unit that has a planar driver in it. The input impedance of those units is 7.5 ohms. The impedance discrepancy between drivers is large. If you run them off of a controller or a PC front panel, you'll wind up with muffled treble.

Don't use Dolby. It's garbage. Damn near ANYTHING is an upgrade from a set of Logitechs. Buying the Dusk as your first set is kind of a huge step, especially if you're not going to bother making sure your setup can power IEMs correctly. Go with something cheaper and make sure you have a decent DAC/amp, otherwise you're going to be underwhelmed plugging into your mobo outs. The EM6L is constantly recommended for gaming. A but treble harsh for me, but might be just right for you. I've been rocking the KiwiEars Quintet with EQ set above 1.5K to match the Xenns Mangird Tea2 and it rocks for gaming.

Amazing for competitive gaming HOWEVER The BA timbre is apparent through the mids and treble. Treble is a bit hot. (Made my ears ring at regular listening levels whereas the DaVinci does not) Unnatural mids. Bass is great. If you want to play s game where proper audio positioning and spatialilty is important, you honestly can't beat these. If you want to get lost in a game, though, maybe look elsewhere. I returned mine within 2 days. I couldn't justify keeping them only for gaming. I honestly did not like listening to music with them, and absolutely refused to watch movies with them given the hot treble.

#Intro Information *Hello all, thank you for clicking this review. I have used these IEMs on the go for passive listening, as well as active analytical listening. The review is being written primarily from analytical listening sessions using my [50 Songs playlist](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TIcpgblEfzi9qGHoqv0uXOVcLKyFMEA8rNZJJjYJuXc/edit?usp=sharing)* *Sources* - Qudelix 5k w/Spotify ‘Very High* | Tanchjim Space w/Tidal FLAC in Exclusive Mode *Accessories* - DUNU S&S tips, Xenns Top interchangeable cable in balanced options. _____ #Packaging & Accessories The Tea2 were purchased in used like-new condition, but came with all of the accessories. The accessories include a variety of tips, a 2 pin 3.5mm cable, a ¼’’ adapter, a carrying case, and an airplane adapter. The included accessories include the expected, but take a step further with the adapters. My only disappointment is that these do not come with a cable capable of changing the termination. When purchased new you are given the option of your termination, but as the industry grows I expect that interchangeable termination cables will become the norm. The tips are standard quality, the cable is hefty and pliable, and the carrying case is a nice leather-esque bound hardshell that is deceptively snug inside. I would personally feel a bit nervous about putting the IEMs in the case with a metal DAC/amp like the Tanchjim Space for fear of scratches on the IEM itself. ***Grade: A*** | The Tea2 offers a complete package that is packed with care and attention to the presentation. They offer a great out of the box experience that should satisfy most users. My quips with the Tea2 are the lack of modular cable, tips being generic in look & feel, and the carrying case takes up more space than expected when compared to the space inside, due to the thick wall. #Build Quality and Fit The Tea2 are medium sized ergonomically shaped IEMs, fitted with a 2 pin connection, and a large nozzle. The IEM is primarily black but the faceplate shows a subtle and elegant design. Mangird is etched in light gold and clear coated over, accompanied by sparkles, and multi-colored shiny accents that provide tasteful pizzazz. Taste varies, but I find the Tea2 to be gorgeous in appearance, giving off a high-end aesthetic. The build appears seamless, with the only continuity breaks being at the 2 pin connection, nozzle, and the port which is near the 2 pin connection. I see no potential area for physical failure on these due to the seamless resin printed design. The 2 pin ports have very different tolerances, one port is moderately difficult to disconnect, while the other separates with ease. Since these were bought used it is hard to say if this was how they were initially manufactured, but both hold the cables firmly in place all the same. The fit is easy to find a good seal, and long-term comfort is decent. The IEMs have some heft to them, feeling denser than expected, but this doesn’t affect fit or comfort as it’s not enough to have them pull out of the ear canal. They are completely unnoticed around my ear once inserted into the canal, the only thing I do notice is the tips themselves. The nozzle is rather large, causing me to use the medium sized DUNU S&S tips for these instead of the large that I tend to use. I have no issues wearing the Tea2 for 60 minute sessions, but after the 60 minute mark I am looking to take a break. The cable is terminated in your choice of finish, feeling hefty and pliable. The cable feels and looks nice, a vast step above cheaper options, but not offering anything unique. A standard good cable. *Approximate IEM measurements: Nozzle - 6.18mm | Shell - 24.26mm x 18.26mm x 14.49mm (LxWxD) | IEM weight per side (no tip) - 4.95g | Cable weight: 24.08g* ***Grade: A*** | I love the aesthetic design on the Tea2, and they feel like they are built with incredible attention to detail, like a premium set of IEMs. My only issue is the comfort of the Tea2, but your mileage may vary depending on what tips you are using and whether or not you’re prone to trouble with larger nozzles.

#Sound *TLDR* The Tea2 is an IEM that is a slightly warm tilted neutral tuning, with emphasized low-end, slightly shouty upper mids, and slightly relaxed treble. To my ears they are tuned to be a crowd pleasing “good with most music” set. While the tuning is great, they lack clarity and resolution I would want in a more analytical setting. I found myself constantly enjoying music while on walks or doing chores around the house while listening at mid-volumes, but liked them less for analytical listening and higher volumes, where flaws become more apparent. **Bass** The sub-bass extends well, reproducing the lowest notes I threw at it without an issue with the presence of the sub-bass. The sub-bass was often prominent enough for songs like *God is a Woman* by Ariana Grande to sound energetic and fun. The issues with the sub-bass are the lack of actual power behind sustained notes, minor bleeding of notes upwards into the midbass and midrange space, lack of clearly defined note boundaries on sustained notes, and texture reproduction being just okay. *Open Eye Signal* by Jon Hopkins displays the sub-bass issues all around, including lack of dynamics as the sub-bass shifts and plays with momentum. A lot of the energy in the song is lost in translation. The sub-bass isn’t bad, but it has limitations. On *Limit to Your Love* by James Blake the fast notes hit quickly and have good control, it’s not eye-opening great, but it does the job. Where the sub-bass sounds its worst is with the deep sustained notes where the lack of sustained energy and control show the flaws. *Soap* by Melanie Martinez sounds a bit anemic, and even the song I praised above, *God is a Woman*, sounds paltry in comparison to something with real sub-bass power like the Monarch MKII. It’s quite acceptable, but if you want a deep visceral sub experience, or even a close approximation of it, these aren’t going to be an ideal choice for you. The midbass tends to sound great with kick drums and bass guitars, especially ones played with real instruments. *Finesse* by Bruno Mars has a tight and energetic kick, and the bass guitar in *Hey* by the Pixies is damn great in tonality as well as reproducing the bass texture. Occasionally the midbass sounds too strong, *Here Comes the Sun* and *Chamakay* being examples, but granted, these are songs problematic with bass in the mix from the get-go. The midbass has occasional lack of presence and clarity, but it’s more of a rarity than a commonality, and I find it primarily with electronically produced bass notes. ***Grade: B-*** | The bass is pretty enjoyable overall, but it lacks the ability to resolve tone & texture of the sub-bass, lacks control at times, and lacks power in the sub-bass. If you primarily listen to music for the bass, ignore the Tea2. If you enjoy heavy bass on occasion, then the Tea2 will do a decent enough job replicating that when you get the urge to listen. They excel by bringing low-end instruments to life, sounding punchy and clean with bass guitars and kick drums. **Midrange & Treble** The lower midrange is lively and natural in tonality through most of the midrange, sounding smooth with a touch of warmth. The midrange is often great at conveying and reproducing midrange energy, and the “vibes” are just right. Unfortunately the entirety of the midrange is not incredibly resolving and tends to suffer most with complex passages, and I find myself struggling to enjoy some music due to this. The lower midrange excels with husky vocals such as Lana Del Rey in *Blue Jeans*, hazy distorted guitars from Radiohead songs like *There There*, and smooth lo-fi Khruangbin jams from the album *The Universe Smiles upon You*. Songs where tonality is key tend to be the most enjoyable, which tend to be the songs where an overly analytical IEM may sound dreadful. Drum kits sound incredibly lively, and the ability of the Tea2 to reproduce a lively energy can not be disregarded. Meanwhile, *Floral Fury* from the Cuphead soundtrack sounds congested due to the lack of clarity through the midrange. This causes the notes to sound homogenous, rather than separate entities, while the song begs for space, clarity, and speed. I noticed this in other vocal harmonies as well, such as with Fleetwood Mac. The upper midrange can sound aggressive and energetic, but it can also sound compressed, with slight added sibilance on vocals in the upper midrange, and lack of clarity. As the treble enters the tonality sounds natural again, but I find myself wanting more presence, and a sense of air from the highs. The compression hurts female vocalists most, with Jessie Ware and Carly Rae Jepsen sounding particularly mediocre, but I noticed it with the occasional instrument as well. Notably the whistling and piano in the intro to *The Stranger* sounded unnatural, the distorted electric guitars on *Carry the Zero*, and the previously mentioned *Floral Fury*. On the other hand, I found the natural tonality, aggressiveness, and clarity of the treble had the guitar solos in *Master of Puppets* and *Take the Power Back* absolutely shredding, saxophone in *Tank!* sounds dynamic, and various cymbals sound excellent, notably the ride cymbal in *Hey!* sounds great. As a whole the treble sounds fantastic, and my only issue with it lacks some top-end sparkle and air. The treble notes never sound fatiguing, but I feel like they’re losing some of their top end energy. ***Grade: B-*** | The midrange and treble are mostly excellent in tonality, average in clarity & detail retrieval, and great in terms of musicality. To my ears, they sound pretty great with most genres of music due to the pleasing tonality. They excel with simpler music, while sounding too congested for more complex passages. The busier a song gets, the less I enjoy the midrange with the Tea2. **Soundstage** The soundstage is akin to being near the front of a closed in concert venue with a wide stage that’s shallow in depth. There’s not a lot of top reach, only a slight sense of air. The left and right separation are good, hints of layers deep are heard, and instruments butt up against each other, but usually with their own boundaries. Occasional sense of being surrounded by music, but it’s nothing inherent in the Tea2’s abilities. ***Grade: C+*** | Pretty standard IEM soundstage. It’s neither great, nor bad, leaning more towards good but unimpressive. _____ #Conclusion The Tea2 is a gorgeous IEM that has a knack for bringing music to life. Unfortunately they lack the ability to resolve details and don’t particularly do anything spectacularly. They’re a good IEM in a very difficult market to just be “good” in. There are many good IEMs in every price bracket. The Tea2 are between $280 and $350 new, and typically in the low $200 range used which puts them in a very difficult price bracket. For $200 or less you could get the AFUL P5, which has a similar frequency response, with a little more treble, and a better ability to resolve details. For around $150, you can get the PULA PA02, which has a similar sound and performance. If you’re open to the used market, you could look at IEMs in the $400-$500 bracket for about the same as these new. Can I recommend the Tea2 with such stiff competition? Not particularly. For my money, I would buy an AFUL Performer 5 for $120-$160 range, used or deep sale, and spend the $100 on a modular cable, with either a TANCHJIM Space USB DAC/amp, or a Qudelix 5k. I would be happier with that set-up than with the Tea2. It’s not that the Tea2 is bad, it’s that I can get 95%+ of what they do with the PA02, or a “better” version of the Tea2 in the P5 for $100 less.

For until 200$, honestly there are many great choices like soundrhyme SR5, simgot supermix4, kiwi ears quintet (for more 10$ish), tangzu heyday (if you still can buy this), tangzu xuan nv, letshuoer s08. Personally, for budget more than 30$, I think there are many better choice than kz Personally I suggest 1. SR 5 or kiwi ears quintet if you want a balance and fun overall. Quintet is a bit better, but the treble timbre is somewhat a little bit metallic and tad too bright for me 2. Supermix 4 is similar to quintet, the driver configuration also similar. Like a budget choice of quintet 3. Heyday, this is one of my daily drivers besides mangird tea 2. The accessories from the box is decent and you got modular jack. 4. Tangzu xuan NV is pretty good but the tone is a little bit too laid back for me. Typical warm and safe tuning. Well basically my mangird tea2 is the definition of safe tuning, but mangird tea2 technical aspects are awesome if you can find suitable cable for it 5. Letshuoer s08, the new planar iem from letshuoer. The tuning is kinda similar to xuan NV but a little bit more engaging and for me and the detail is quite awesome as well.

Not the best at describing audio but they feel a bit more full and natural to me, like nothing is overly-aggressive, whereas the SuperMix 4s can get bright and almost piercing at times. The Tea Pros have less treble, more bass, and don’t get fatiguing. When it comes to competitive gaming, I’d describe the SuperMix 4s as having excellent separation, imaging, stage for their price while the Mangird Tea Pros I’d say are class leading with just flat-out superior separation, pinpoint and precise imaging and layering, making it way easier to discern individual elements like footsteps even in situations with lots of gunfire, abilities, grenades, and that sort of stuff going off.

Thats funny, Fresh Reviews himself rated the Xenns Top as the number 1 IEM under his A tier ranking. Yes, even above is own set, the Arete. I'd say watch his review of both before making your decision. I have the mangird tea pro (not the top) and arete, to my ears the Arete has a lttle nicer separation and soundstage. Might come off as a surprise to some, but thats what my ears are telling me. I havent been gaming competitively for years, but for now I am leaning more towards the Arete for competitive purposes

Yes he did mention that. He gave high praise to the tea pro, and it currently ranks directly below the xenns top on his list. But its also important to remember that audio is extremely subjective. I am only able to tell you my opinions based on my own personal listening experience. And to my ears, I felt that the arete had the better separation. I think that in part had to do with the arete being less bassy overall compared to the tea pros. It does not mean the tea pros aren't good at all, I think it's a very fun set and extremely comfortable to wear, actually one of the most comfortable IEMs I've used in a while. The arete (sound wise) is almost like a less energetic tea pro due to it being slightly less V shaped. But both suffer from the treble not being as resolving as it could, but I don't mind it.

I’ve had a similar problem. Check out Shure’s line of IEMs. They have a fairly unique shape that fit my ears really well. Not the most amazing soundstage you’ll find in an IEM but they still sound really good. Those are about $99. I also have a pair of Shokz Pro 2 Mini that work really well for hiking, laying in bed watching TV, or playing video games, etc. Those are about $175. But I finally came into the Mangird Tea Pros and they fit me perfectly and sound amazing! Those’ll run you about $350. Those were the standouts of my Music journey. I’ve had tons of other IEMs, earbuds, etc. and those three each really surprised me in their own ways.

It looks like You had almost the same journey as me. I've also been loving various genres mainly EDM, and playing games a lot, and I used SteelSeries Arctis Nova7 before using IEMs. 2 Months ago, I made my choice, blind buying Mangird Tea Pro from Ali and I just fell in love in it. I still like my previous IEMs(Delci, EW300, NX7 Mk4, Vivace), but Tea Pro feels just way too good in both music and gaming. However, I highly recommend you to try it offline or check the return policy. Their shape is very unique and it might be awkward, the fit is perfect for me though. Anyway, Good for you enjoying music ! Good luck and have fun : )

At the very first time, I thought it was a bit tight. But now it just fits my ears perfectly, as I mentioned. Maybe my ear has adapted to it, lol. Whether I eat or talk while listening, it just sticks to my sweet spot. The main reason I chose Tea Pro was gaming. And it's been very satisfying. It sounds literally accurate and never misses small footsteps. I also love its sound signature. I'm still trying to figure out the difference between Tea Pro and my previous devices. One thing I felt was that it even changed my sound preference. I liked Kefine Delci more than Ew300 last year. I think I just cared about the quantity of bass, but now I feel differently, I like EW300 more for gaming and its balanced tuning. And, Tea Pro has richer bass, sweeter vocals, and crispy but not fatigueing hat than EW300. It's definitely an upgrade and even the endgame for me. I have actually never searched for another IEMs since Tea Pro. Hope you get my feelings through my bad English and choose well. : )

It’s unfortunate you got the SM4 as your first IEM. If you had gone for the Explorer, which is actually a much warmer, lush, relaxed IEM and you might have been happy with it for a long time. But getting the Explorer when you already established a floor with the SM4, might still leave you wanting to step up more. I think the tea pros might be a very good fit in giving you more base without sacrificing too much in details and technicalities. Be sure to watch and read some reviews of it, as well as anything else you’re seriously considering. Sometimes you’ll come on here and receive a blast of birdshot with at least a get dozen or more recommendations. It is useful for looking for a bunch to then dug into, but remember, no one here can give you a definitive answer.

only downside is it's a bit bulky, at that price range I prefer Yanyin Canon a bit, other downside is it's not as good value as Apevoix Grit(has BC driver which may or may not work well for you), Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite(no venting) and Intuaura Splendor II(has too much venting if that is a thing, 0 isolation), Letshouer S15(needs EQ) tldr:/ great IEM, if it's tuning you like and got money to buy it get it but if you can live with some of the downsides of these $230-260 IEMs they are better value, I got myself Splendor II because I like low isolation

TLDR: My ideal IEM would be Tea Pro with an HBB bass/sub-woofer. Would Kiwi Punch satisfy that? Any input would be greatly appreciated! I'm new to IEM space. I honestly went with Mangird Tea Pro as my first IEM for both music and gaming. I am undoubtedly a bass heavy person but the Tea Pro's have opened up my 'mind' with incredible detailing and separation within music/songs i've never thought of nor imagined was present. I feel my ideal IEM would be the Tea Pro with an HBB bass/sub-woofer. From my understanding, the 2 BA's handle the mids/treble so i'd assume that would bring out the separation and detailing of music. While the DD being in control of the sub-woofer bass? I've tried the FatFreq x HBB Deuce. I LOVE THE BASS it hits on there. But I don't feel the same qualities and detailing I get from the Tea Pro. Bass on Tea Pro is pretty good imho. But I never knew an IEM could create such an invigorating bass feel. Bass to me sometimes brings out the 'hype' or this 'compelling' feeling to me. I've read other reviews stating that the driver combination with HBB brings out the 'emotion' in the music? Which really piqued my interest. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I thought it would be difficult to find a pair of IEM that could match my HD600s, but it turns out the Tea Pro does a better job than I expected 😅👌 They are super comfortable to wear and the sound / details / bass is just unlike anything else I've experienced with headphones and IEM's. My biggest grief is the stock cable - It's very stiff and almost impossible to get out once you plug them in. I would recommend buying something like the Linsoul Tripowin Zonie (they are not super expensive, but definitely worth it). For me this is endgame. I don't see myself buying anything above this price range. https://preview.redd.it/130cccoiflxe1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6eda9f6322131dafb04b208c60a7f351a5fcc4c6

Yes. If it wasn't for the discomfort of my HD660s I would never have considered buying something else, since they already offered a pretty premium experience in terms of sound. Bought them a couple months ago. No regrets, besides trying to clean them of earwax lol. They're great. So much fuller sounding, bouncy bass but still subtle enough to not take over a song. I cam from a pair of s12pros which I still use, but these definitely take it up a notch and it's hard to go back... long story short, get them. They're definitely worth their price and they're very very comfortable

**Source:** iBasso DX180 **Tips/Cable:** Stock everything **Music Source:** Apple Music Hi-Res (No EQ) Picked up the Mangird Tea Pro and paired it with the iBasso DX180, and this combination just works. The DX180 has a clean, neutral, almost clinical tuning, while the Tea Pro leans bassy-neutral and is very musical. Together, they feel like a perfect couple: one offering precision, the other offering emotion. The first track I listened to was ***Sur Niragas Ho*** by Shankar Mahadevan. I’ve heard this song countless times before, but through this setup, it hit me differently. The emotion, the texture in his voice, the subtle instrumentals I’m not exaggerating when I say it almost brought me to tears. **Bass** Satisfying is the word. The sub-bass is present and textured, but never bloated. Mid-bass has enough punch to bring warmth and weight to tracks without muddying the mids. The DX180 seems to tame the low-end just enough to keep it from being overpowering. **Mids** Vocals are a standout. Male vocals, especially in Indian classical and fusion, sound natural and emotionally resonant. The mids feel lush but not overdone, very engaging. **Treble** Detailed but never harsh. There’s enough sparkle to highlight cymbals and string work, but it doesn’t cross into fatiguing territory(I am not treble sensitive). I was surprised at how much detail came through without killing the musicality. **Technicalities** While I’m not a seasoned audiophile, I can say this: I’m hearing things in songs I never noticed before. Background layers, faint textures, instrument placement, it’s like rediscovering music I thought I knew. The imaging and separation feel precise, even if I don’t have the vocabulary to break it down like the pros. **Final Thoughts** The Mangird Tea Pro and iBasso DX180 combo is something special. It’s clean, emotional, detailed, and musical all at once. If you're someone who appreciates a neutral-ish tuning with satisfying bass and beautifully rendered vocals, this pairing might just be what you're looking for.

This might be a polarising view but hear me out. The Tea pro is like walking through a cloud. Soft smooth and fulfilling. You sense everything but everything is cozy and relaxing. Where as the supermix4 is like running through a bush where you feel every leaf and thorn rushing against your body. Some might say it is exciting but not for others. I don't like the supermix4 at all. It is like a cheap wooden cart with a Ferrari engine. Get things done but not very pleasurable. I hope this helps.

Fully agree with your two points, as someone who has a Tea Pro that I love and can’t capture that same magic elsewhere both ring true to me. I also have the Letshuoer S08s and they get a lot of praise but they are just not in the same tier of sets. Certainly do what makes sense for you but if you end up getting another set for $150-$200 quickly then do that again to upgrade to the Tea Pros (or other super recommended $300-$600 dollar set). Then you do run the risk of losing some cash on older sets they will succeed. The jump up to that mid range is a big one in terms of clarity/separation/soundstage once you get into the higher driver counts. I did the dance a little backwards and went to the Tea Pros for my 2nd set then tried to mess with cheaper options to see if other tuning sounded better to me. Fully failed that experiment in the end. I was just out about $300 bucks for the other 4 "budget" recommendations for various tuning models. If you wanted to stretch to something around the $200 dollar range, the Ziigaat Odyssey is very nice for the price. If you listen loud they get bonus points.

I posted above but I did this, I went Supermix 4 -> Tea Pro then started experimenting back to more budget models with different tuning (dark, treblehead, meta, etc). Ultimately, I would die on a hill that if done correctly more drivers is absolutely an advantage when it comes to clarity and separation. If you enjoy those specific attributes once you hit that $300-$600 range there is no going back. Moving up from the Tea Pro took me like 7 months, but I just got a MEST MK2 last week and it is unreal amounts of detail with a unique soundstage that you would just need to experience. Tea Pros will stay for gaming and laid back music listening, everything else will be collecting dust now which means dead money.

Nothing technical to add, just that I enjoy these posts. Again this is something that a laymen like me can "feely"craft but understanding the mechanics around it is interesting. This feels 100% accurate in my experience as a casual observer, some other common IEMs for gaming that are recommended would be Simgot SuperMix 4 and Mangird Tea Pro (I owned both of these at one point). When playing Hunt: Showdown to my ears it was objectively easy to tell that the SuperMix 4 had less overall bass AND it was also a lot slower to recover to spikes in volume (say a barrel or explosive detonating nearby). Once I had purchased the Tea Pros, the tightness of the bass was extremely noticeable and this seemed to help clean up some of the mids and low treble to make it easier to discern the separation in chaotic environments. Another interesting thought as you had mentioned the Arrti T10, I used the Letshuoer S08s which was a full planar set for a few weeks as well when I had just gotten into the hobby. The difference in the spactial "feeling" not the actual precision itself is another concept that I would love to understand. To me it feels like there is a difference between the precision and how distance plays out on the stage created. For example, I believe with all the sets I have mentioned I could get a good sense of direction based on a sound cue; however, all three sets have a very different resolution of 3D space. I attempted to test as best I could the difference between the MEST Mk2 and Tea Pros to see if I would like one or the other more over the last few days. The Tea Pro's space resolution feels less detailed but more accurate to relative distance, the MEST provides absolutely unparalleled detail but because of the recessed pinna mids messes with the distance some. Both could absolutely be used but one does a better job at creating space "around you" rather than "in front" of you. Is there any way to objectively analyze the perception of that 3D space that is being created?

All of this, Tea Pros are unbelievable value for gaming. I mostly play Hunt: Showdown and they do almost feel like cheating in some compounds. The sense of space is immaculate, both distance and directionality is about as good as it gets for gaming. I plugged in my UM MEST Mk2’s I recently purchased and immediately realized that they end up creating a sense of space in front of you. The Tea Pros do a better job of establishing space around you so I will continue to use the Tea Pros for gaming.

So I just got the MEST MK2s last week, and they have become my favorite musical set almost instantly. It’s just so pleasing and unique it’s hard to describe. I have also messed with Letshuoer S08s, Simgot SM4, Ziigaat Odyssey, Kiwi Ears Canta (least favorite so far), Letshuoer DX4. Tea Pros are where it’s at for value/performance for me. Odyssey might be better value overall but its lack of stage/space makes me appreciate the MEST/Tea Pro more.

I own the Tea Pro. Also had the MP145, Kiwi ears Awther, and ZiiGaat Odyssey. I kept the tea pro and returned the other 3. The tea pro has a more clean and open sound to my taste (mainly metal, classic rock). The Aether was too flat, and got sibilant at higher volumes, the mp145 was ok, but the shells are enormous, the odyssey would be my second pick, but wasn’t as clean as the Tea Pro sounded. The odyssey had more of a wall of sound as opposed to the teas more open and layered sounds, even in the most busiest of metal songs. Hope this helps, I’m happy to answer any questions!

Fatfreq Maestro Mini might fit the bill if you can find it for a good price. The Deuce is fantastic, but the bass shelf cuts off lower (trying to keep mids as clean as possible), so it's not as easy to recommend for general bass-head use. Thieaudio Origin is probably the end-game basshead set at the moment (without going into the $3-4k range). Tea Pro is EXCELLENT. I prefer it to the Davinci due to its higher perceived resolution and detail retrieval. It's more of an all-rounder+bass rather than true basshead set. EDIT: I wish I could say something about the Punch, but I've never heard it. Many have called it a "baby Oirign" which, if that's the case, it would match what you're asking for.

I've heard many people say this but I think the opposite is true. The Davinci sounds decidedly low-fi to me. Transients are mushy. Bass is boomy but not musical. I don't get it. I've owned both sets. While the Arete is great for detail retrieval and it's tonality regarding music listening is superb for its price point, I was concerned about the build quality, a BA on the left side was faulty out of the box. Funny enough, I also had a QC issue with the Tea PRO (channel imbalance) but XENNS recently redesigned their nozzles so it looks like they fixed it now. The Tea PRO is still a sub tier above the Arete in shooters regarding depth and verticality perception and the build quality is waaaaay better with the alluminum alloy but will be a little heavier with a little better ergonomic shape. It is also warm with slight darkness in the treble with the Arete being more neutral with the low end I would describe as being barely enough for most. Arete is basically on the same tier in-game (OW2) maybe sublty better than the Hype 4 and S12 2024 when I was testing those. Techs and Tonality across various genres are still 10-20% better on the Tea PRO as well to me on average. Stock accessories on the Tea PRO are good, much better than the Arete's. If you can discount your way to near 300 on the Tea PRO, 100% get it I even think its good at its MSRP. Only set I found "better" that I have is the TOP but its not by much at all. Eartips I recommend are Penon Liquer Orange.

Ive owned the Tea PRO and Hype 4 Tea PRO was better in tac shooters when it came to depth and verticality perception, hype 4 was good to but was a little further away and the build quality is better on the Tea PRO (metal alloy). There is a chance you run into a QC issue with channel imbalance like I did on the Tea PRO. Hype 4 is a \*little\* more fun but I would say both sets are on par musicality-wise just depends what you're feeling that day. Hype 4 shell is a bit bigger Tea PRO is more of a medium size. If you like treble energy, then I would rec the Hype 4 over the Tea PRO. Sub bass rumble is a little more apparent on the Hype 4 on songs like Kill Jill. Can always get the Hype 4 off Amazon first and if you don't like it, return and get the Tea PRO to try out.

At that same price you can also get a new P7 and EQ it lol. It’s a stellar iem for the price. Either way, you’ll be impressed. I personally would get the tea pro just for the fact that it’s got a metal chassis( if you’re opposed to used gear)

Got them last month and they have been good so far. They have good bass without being muddy. The vocals could be a little better though I think. Seperation, detail and sound stage is awesome. They are really great for gaming. I highly recommend tri clarion or divinus velvet wide bore ear tips. They are both wide bore and they help tone down and smooth out the bass a bit.

Hype 4 is on sale… however, I have the Tea Pro and couldn’t be happier. I want to order the Estrella for the fun V shape sound, but… I keep getting drawn back by the Tea Pro, brand new drivers and DD configuration. Very detailed mods and highs, vocals present, and the bass is punchy/pronounced while not overwhelming. It punches above its price tag… and not to mention is beautiful and it feels premium. I use Divinus Belvet Wide Bore(I wanted a sound similar to foam for better isolation and the Divinus hit it right in the head), will be trying the Eletech Baroque aswell to compare both.

Having originally got into the hobby to improve my audio cues in Hunt Showdown; objectively changing the source of the audio in relation your ears/eardrums has an advantage. I looked over the recommendations and originally landed on the Tea Pros and could easily get better positional awareness from my DT990s on the same DAC/Amp. My new favorite for music is the MEST Mk2, cannot game with them in the same way because of unique tuning but if you want to FEEL in the game there is no replacement. While I will use the MEST almost for everything other than games . The Tea Pros have a very accurate representation of direction and distance in relation to the sound source which is great for gameplay.

The only one in your list I have experience with is the supermix 4 and I agree with you. I have the Tea Pro now and it's pretty darn good for FPS gaming. The imaging is spot on to my ears. It has, what I feel, is the max sound stage an IEM can do. I even tested my friend's Monarch MK3 against them and the gaming performance was similar with the mk3 edging them out in bf2042. Both are tremendous for gaming. The mk3 is amazing at everything imo.

I went from the EM6L > Kiwi Ears Quintet > Orchestra Lite > Tea Pro > Monarch MK3. I head a difference with every step up. I prefer the Quintet over the Tea Pro because the Tea Pro treble is darker and smoother and sounds less detailed imo. The Monarch MK3 is just absolutely amazing imo. I hear details in songs I've never heard before. The detail in every aspect is just amazing, and they're fun to listen to. They also do some black magic with soundstage and imaging. The MK3 sounds bigger than some openback headphones I've owned.

Ya know, at first I didn't think I was going to like the cable packaged with the Kima 2. However, after using it for so long I realized just how nice it is. Hey, the Tea Pro is a fantastic iem! Good for you. I didn't have them in my possession long enough for a proper review (tour set) but I enjoyed every minute I had them. I still have the OG Mangird Tea and it still holds up against the competition. Still some of the best vocals under $300. My opinion of course. However, the Tea Pro is much more versatile. Very nice set.

100%. I've owned both. The only reason I don't have the Hype 4 anymore is because someone offered me an insane trade deal for them for some Campfire Supermoons, which I wanted to get for my dad. I went through a few replacements out of curiosity, as those were my out & about sets. I really disliked the Tea Pro & the Aful 5+2. I thought the Davinci were OK, but not up to par - I was going to go back to the Hype 4, but I was offered a fantastic deal on some Moondrop Variations & went for those instead. I own some very high end bass heavy sets - Fatfreq Maestro SE CIEM / Campfire Astrolith / Sony IER-Z1R. The Hype 4 cannot compete with these, but you can't expect them to at that price (these are all 1500-3000 sets) - but they are really bloody good for the budget & that goes beyond bass. Those are three pairs out of about 15 mostly TOTL sets of IEMs & overheads that I own. I've worked in bass music for almost 30 years although it's now more of a serious hobby. I am pretty spoilt & the cheapest two sets I will recommend to absolutely anyone are the Hype 4 & the Moondrop Variations (not a bass centric set). I wouldn't recommend the Davinci, but I think it's ok. Definitely better than the Tea Pro & the Aful 5+2, but the Hype 4 rule supreme.

Out of these options, I'd vote for the tea pros. FF Deuce may have way more sub-bass but they have QA and QC issues, and if you have a problem with those. Then you're on your own. Tea pro unboxing was a really nice experience. The shirt clip, cleaning brush, tips, shell material are all a really nice bonus ontop of the sound signature. Speaking of, if you're looking for mid-bass with good sub-bass while still having good vocal clarity. These are it. Sound imaging is unrivaled in this price bracket too imo. My ONLY complaint would probably be the fit. After a REALLY long time of wearing these (5 hours+) you'll start to feel discomfort in your ear because of nozzle angle most likely. But this can be nullified with Dunu S&S tips as they form a seal without the nozzle being fully inserted into your ear and they have a nice cushion effect between the silicone and the nozzle.

I'm the other way around, SM4 is very fun for me, I really like treble to the point where they r sibilant. The treble details is just great and the bass decay is super fast so it doesn't close the higher regions. The tea pros however are very dark and feels boring for me instead, it's still very detailed and the seperation is very nice, but it's so dark and I cannot feel the treble extension

I really like Elysian Pilgrim and there are many in this price bracket that are very good. For you, I think Softears Volume S might be a good pick as it has decent soundstage and great vocals for your games and media. It is not perfectly neutral but it is slightly exciting with a V-shape tuning (slight boost to bass and treble and mids are slightly recessed) which is likely preferable for music. However! I think Tea Pro is a pretty good all rounder already. Of course, its peers may excel a little bit more in one thing or another. In my opinion, buying another IEM in the same bracket — same price and similar all-rounder ability — as Tea Pro is not really worth it. You could technically get a little more bass or treble in one, maybe a little more detail or resolution in another, so it’s up to you if that difference is worth paying the same price again. If you want a wow factor again, you could try an IEM with a significantly different tuning or strengths (much more bass or much more treble). You wouldn’t necessarily have to pay as much, too, if you experiment with lower priced sets. Hope this helps!

okay, for starter, i only got em6l and tea pro for now. if i can describe it, the em6l sounds... loose, like it sounds good, but it doesn't engage much. now if we're talking about tea pro? the sounds grab you tightly like it's saying, "Look at me only." one thing i found funny, when i do a/b comparison test on a 8d video on barbershop, i find that, yeah i can feel the snipping scissors, i can hear the footsteps of the barberman on em6l but like i said, it's just good enough. but when i put the tea pro, i can accurately tell where he is, what he is doing, and heck, the snipping scissors felt so real it tickled my ears and brain. i did a little illustration for this, i hope this can explain a bit [here it is](https://imgur.com/a/Ti7p5ue) edit: the box in the image is supposed to represent the soundstage. so while the em6l is wide, it is somehow narrow too. while the tea pro is, well, wide in width and height.

I have not heard the Pilgrim yet, so I can't compare the two, but I do own the Punch and I can tell it's a fun and bass focused set. The Punch does have a good but warm midrange and the EST drivers deliver smooth airy treble. I would say if you can't afford the Thieaudio Origin get the Punch. By the way I also own the Tea Pro and it is a fantastic set, but I prefer the bass and treble of the Punch. The Tea Pro has a better midrange and it's accessories are top notch.

had the supermix 4 for almost a year now, tea pro for a week now i really love the SM4 for the technicalities, agree with u/collapse-s's comment, by default they can get really piercing due to the Planar & PZT managing the trebles, but it's something you can ease with some EQ without degrading the audio quality (compared to other pairs you can easily EQ them) and you get a really clear and precise sound (blew my mind honestly) where they're lacking for my taste is audio stage for gaming, idk about the other but i find it hard to pinpoint enemies vertically, and enemies behind me feels in me somehow (really strange to describe...), really really hard to play competitively with them, i'm sometimes lost in the action cause of that the tea pro has been insane regarding that aspect, coming initially from a MMX300 headset which is a beast of audio soundstage for gaming, that's the closest I've ever heard so far with IEMs. pinpoint is really the term to use with them music-wise, i find the tea pro a bit less clear than the SM4, but that may be cause i'm used to the insane trebles of the SM4 (don't get me wrong, the sound is far from boxy and is really great) (best reference for gaming i heard: MMX300 headset; games i play: val, ow2, apex, dbd)

I’ve talked quite a bit about these in other posts. I’ll give you a nice detailed breakdown of them. Long story short, get them. (Apologies for the long read) Long story, I have the tea pros and absolutely love them. I do like the stock flat EQ of these but I wanted more out of them so l EQd them to my liking. (I’m quite fussy) - But other IEMs just sound so weird after using the Tea Pros. You may or may not run into some comfort issues with these and some imbalancing. Let's talk about comfort first: 1- My antihelix and helix were aching me. I figured this is due to the shape of the shell and the way it rests on my antihelix. I dropped the pain by about 50% when I pulled on the top of my ear and then pushed the lEMs in. 2- The top of my ear and the back of my ear ached as well. I figured that the stock cable which come with the Tea Pros are tight around the ears and feel heavy/stiff. So I copped the Linsoul Tripowin Zonie cable and I no longer feel anything. No pains, no aches, no comfort issues. Some of the aches and pains were maybe because my ears just needed to adapt to them. I mean I did come off headsets from the last 15 years or so. Now let's talk about the imbalancing. For some reason, these get this issue a lot. Not just with myself but quite a few others that I know. The imbalancing happens because of little sweat droplets (from your ears) that sit on the nozzle and even go inside the nozzle. I purchased the Comply TX-500 Foam Tips which have something called TechDefender in there and that gets rid of the moisture build up leading to an imbalance. (Just be sure to replace these every 1-3 months for hygiene reasons) As for tips, I would recommend the Comply TX-500 Foam Tips w/ TechDefender OR the DUNU S&S Tips. If you feel like your ears don't have a tonne of moisture build up, go for the Dunus but if you want to get rid of the moisture build up, get the Tx-500. Another thing to note is that it's best to play it safe with these lEMs. Once you are done with them, take off the tips and leave them out to air dry for about 30-50 mins. Then put them back into the case with a silica gel packet. Slight longer read than you probs expected but just wanted to give you a heads up in case you find yourself in the same boat as me. But other than that, they're absolutely great. I love them for music, watching and FPS gaming. I mainly play COD: Warzone and you need to understand that the audio engine is horrible but the Tea pros actually make it tolerable. Separation is phenomenal, it isn’t muddy, the EQ is extremely ear-friendly. I play on my PS5 Pro and Sony just came out with an audio focus feature which helps boost the quiet sounds (footsteps, sliding) and honestly I can hear people sliding from across Prison (Rebirth Island) - I also have the Qudelix 5K DAC and have inputted my own custom EQ and you just cannot get better audio than this. Hope you find this helpful, and of course... Enjoy lad

I use the Arcanis and tea pros. For gaming, they are both equally capable. It's a matter of frequency response preference. Arcanis is more natural sounding, so it's more immersive when gaming. The Tea pros may be more musically tuned, on the other hand. The differences are slim any way you look at it. They both use knowles BA but the Arcanis PET drivers offer better bass performance. Arcanis uses higher quality drivers but uses only 5BA while the tea pro has 6BA. Arcanis will offer almost the same technicalities as the tea pro but with a bit more detail retrieval and a wider soundstage, but the difference is small. Whether that's worth the higher price tag is up to you

I got my Arcanis earlier than expected, so here's some info that I don't think you'll find anywhere else on Reddit at the moment. Soundstage: width is a 9, height is an 8, and depth is at an 8 with stock ear tips. Instrument separation and imaging is a 9. It has a slight edge over my tea pros. Resolution is on par with the Elysian pilgrim, hype 4, and tea pros despite the comparatively recessed treble region. I'm still surprised by how natural my music sounds with this set. It's an interesting balance of musicality and reference tuning.

I'm quite pleased with them. I started in iems in the wrong direction, the expensive ones. So far my history is shure se846, Noble k10, campfire Solaris, anole vx, empire ears legend x, and then Oriolus traillii. Then I wanted to get into headphones the same way, settled with the dunu sa6 mkii and fatfreq maestro mini for my iems. Found a good deal on tea pros, got em and it's what I listen to the most now. I do miss some lushness in the mids, but my music is better suited to v shape anyways, probably my ideal would be u shape (EDM, pop, hip hop) and I only got it because I heard it was good for gaming. It's so good at all of that, that I listen to it more than the Stax setup I bought. At retail price, I'd strongly consider it. At sale or good condition second hand, it's an instant buy for me

Scarlet mini by far. Love the bass. Ive only tried 6 iems so far : arete(returned but were fine), tea pro(returned too big for me), thieaudio origin(returned also too big), duece(returned not enough bass) 64 audio u4s(is my all arounder and used for gaming), and fatfreq scarlet mini(my favorite for music) Dac: currently using btr17 but plan on returning as I ordered a hiby r4. In the past I used a fio k3 for my open backs.

If you have little ears don't go for the tea pro. Haven't tried the other two so I can't give any feedback there. Not sure if I have small ears or not but the tea pro was painful as hell on my concha and antihelix. Edit: the sound was amazing just incredibly uncomfortable for me. Not enough sub bass but great mid bass and a nice sparkle in the treble.

I started my journey with Kefine Kleans to timeless og to performer 5+2 and now to the tea pros. They all sounded great in their own way but putting on the tea pros is like listening to music for the very first time as if every other headphone ive ever heard was veiled. I normally wear 6xx headphones on a jds lab element iii and have a hard time finding a better headphone but these tea pro iems are better than every other model mentioned here. They do something magical. I'm on spin fit cp100 tips and a fiio k11 dac.

The nozzles are a little large and could imagine discomfort with smaller ear canals unfortunately. I didn't experience this but just warning. I've used senny 58x, 6xx, 650 and hifiman 400se; the only reason I'd wear those now are long play sessions or to hear my surroundings better. I think they are 100% worth the money and recommend them. The cord is pretty great included tips have variety but they are sorta mediocre.

Well, I love my bass too and have had a few experiences trying to get great bass (but not muddy) and nothing comes even close to ThieAudio Origin. Sorry about the price though. Hype 4 and Tea Pro are nice for half the price but they cannot compete with Origin, even EQing them to Origin, it’s not the same unfortunately.

Probably the ZiiGaat Odyssey from the ones I tried. In actuality, my favorite is my Tea Pro which I got used for under 300 in mint condition

I have both. They are quite similar. I can’t really say I prefer one over the other sound wise, both are awesome. But from a value standpoint the Tea Pro is much better. Unboxing experience is great, great accessories package, metal construction feels awesome

Hmmm im not a basshead. I like a balanced sound. So i tried the teas and the p7. In the end i returned and sell them. Teas were too warm with too much bass. Tried eq but didnt work for me. Teas have nice soundstage and the bass is high quality. The p7 was not bad but i dont like the presentation in general and stayed with my fermats. I bought the studio4 instead...

I'll take a bucket of salt with your statement; the Tea Pro are absolutely terrible. Yes I've owned them & I couldn't sell them quick enough. There's a good reason there are waiting lists for Variations, even a few years after release & they're regarded as one of the best IEMs of all time. The Tea Pro seem to be flavour of the month for people who have finally decided to spend more than $70 on a pair & they will defend them to the death. Utter dogshit & not 10% as good as the Tea 2.

I'm not 'your guy' you condescending mug & if you had more serious sets/knew what you were talking about, I don't believe you'd think the Tea Pro were anything except utter crap with horrific mids, dreadful bass & terrible treble - the Tea 2 were much better. The Variations are my out & abouts. Only the Hype 4 are another pair I'd consider for that spot. If you're comfortable staying with the opinions of others - it seems most of the people who bought the Tea Pro are the guys with 20 pairs of 15-50 USD IEMs & suddenly went for a big boy set. I'm pretty sorted... Monarch mk3 has better layering, better separation but sometimes same as with hype 4 it hurts my ears on long sessions of cs2 cause of the gunshots but not as bad as with hype 4 only tried monarch 5 days, the tea doesn't hurt my ears but I don't enjoy it as much on music. Tea has 70 of a wide stage sensation while the hype 4 soundstage gets a little well bloomy but it's not bad, some enjoy it

So I got home and tried a bit of fallout 4 with the Hype 4 and tea pro, they're are almost equally tea comes top on layering. but explosions like with the mini nuke or the gattling laser torrent thingy or exploding a car are just a little more boomy or rather emotional more fun on the hype 4, but if you don't care about those the tea is better, you can hear where someone is hiding when in an ambush a lil better, I heard a bit faster when a rad scorpion came to me, but just a little really not so crazy just a tiny bit more and well there is less sub bass Wich is the strong part on the hype 4. Also the ear tips are huge difference, Im currently using spinfit 140 and 360 and the stock are good but not as confortable as these, I can use the iem for longer periods without removing them and sound a lil better, the 360 help the bass a lil and the 140 are more in the neutral side of things

The bass is well-defined and not overwhelming, ensuring a clean and precise sound with an emphasis on sub bass so its not bass heavy. They are Phenomenal for FPS gaming too as I have found out recently.

Hype 4 is a very good all-rounder for 300€. Don't buy into the Tea Pro hype. It's a good IEM, I listened to it back to back with my Hype 4, and while it sounds "proper" it's not as engaging as Hype 4.

Unlike a lot of other people, for me it wasn’t love at first “sight” (sound); for me a took a bit of tip rolling to find the right ones and to get a good fit. Now, I absolutely love them, but between the Hype 4 and the Tea Pros I’m still more drawn to the Hype 4. Hard to explain exactly why as the Tea Pros sound phenomenal, but there’s just something about the Hype 4 that keeps me coming back for more

Hi. Generally you don’t need an amp with IEMs. An apple dongle will be just fine for almost any situation. You might end up like me that the volume steps will be too large on your phone. I bought a dongle dack with physical volume controls, but it was more of a feature thing than SQ issue. I causually game on a PS5 with the “edge” controller and it’s 3.5mm port is more than capable of driving all my iems. With my orchestra lite it hisses however so I had to use an adapter which solves the issue. My other IEMs do not hiss when directly connected to the port. What you should choose depends on what your priorities and tuning preferences are. I’ve tried all my IEMs for gaming and when playing competitive shooters, their characteristics highly influence how easy it is to accurately pinpoint the direction of audio clues, like footsteps. If you dont play shooters, how immersive the IEMs will be will be mostly a tuning thing. If they are close to your taste they will be good! I own the trutheat Zero Blue, which is quite good for gaming alone, but for music it has it’s limitations. Not that it’s bad - but with complex music I find their midrange to be not cear enough. My Orchestra Lite is better when gaming - and also much better for music. Again, it’s tuning makes it ever-so-slightly bass shy for some parts of my music library, so I kept on looking. My latest purchase - the Tea Pro’s seem to be a great allrounder. They do well with all kinds of music for me. I don’t feel I’m missing on anything, and they are quite good for shooters. You can clearly pick out the audio clues and tell their direction with pinpoint accuracy. The PS5 controller drives them fine.

I had a similar dilemma, demo’d the Hype4, Tea Pro and Punch and I’ve settled on the punch as my “end game” for now. I found the tea far too relaxed sounding, worst of the bunch. Inoffensive tuning but zero excitement for me. It was also the least comfortable as the wide bore meant I could only use small tips and still felt pressure after a while. Hype was very nice, brought emotion out of the music but I found the bass to be too “crunchy” if that makes sense to you? Fit and comfort were good though I don’t personally like the front facing vent as I need isolation. The Punch is just right to my ear, this feels “hi-fi” to me. The bass sure is powerful, digs deep and yet never overwhelms the highs or mids. They even make flat old punk records sound powerful, honestly my favourite audio device currently. It’s definitely the chunkiest IEM I’ve used but still fits comfortably through multi hour sessions.

I’ve directly compared tea pro with punch and found the nozzle on the tea to be too wide. I could only use small tips and still got painful pressure and heat buildup after 20 min or so. No such issue with the punch, can wear it for 3 hour sessions and feel nothing. I did replace the overly firm stock tips with kiwi ears flex tips instead as the other poster mentioned they aren’t great included tips (they’re the exact same ones you usually get with ziigaat iems, same manufacturer)

I think even decent IEMs are a big upgrade from the typical "gaming headsets". It's also easier to find an IEM that is good for games and music than it is a pair of headphones that can do both. The typical picks for gaming headphones are usually studio/reference headphones that are shout-y in the mid-range. Meanwhile IEMs like the Tea Pro, Volume S, Arcanis, Canon II, etc seem to be great music IEMs that happen to be good for gaming. Even my Tanchjim Origin (by no means wallhacks tier when it comes to imaging/sound stage) is better in games than my HD600.
