The other pair I highly recommend is the Yanyin Canon 2. I'm actually selling those as well as the Kiwi's. The Yanyins are very very close to the Tea Pros in terms of gaming performance.

Tarkov is also my main game. It definitely has some engine issues, but when audio does work, a good set of IEMs is essentially wall hacks. I still think it's worth it to invest in a good pair of ears for this game, especially if you ever play any Arena. For best bang for buck, I'd look at the used market if you know what sound signature you want. /r/avexchange has gotten me some great deals. I will always push for Yanyin Canon2's used because for <$200 USD you get yourself a comfortable IEM in a relatively compact size with a decent nozzle width. Sonically, it has a decent soundstage and imaging/separation, with enough bass to emphasize footsteps. If you were buying new, the Xenns Tea Pros are quite good. They're a step up in imaging and sound separation. I can't give an apples-to-apples since I haven't used the Tea Pros on anything but my RU7 DAC which artificially create a wider soundstage, but individual audio elements "stand out" fantastically with this set. I'm not sure if it's the RU7, but the vertical imaging on these is exceptionally good, better than the Canon2's. If I had bought these earlier, I may have stopped here and not gotten anything else. My personal go-to (if any budget is truly any budget) are either 64 Audio Volurs or U12T (depending on my mood). The holographic imaging on these is end-game. They're also relatively light and a small package so they fit very comfortably (although truth be told, I prefer the fit of the Canon2's). The Volurs have more bass impact but the U12Ts have more dynamic and tight bass.

My initial impressions were very strong. I used them almost exclusively for gaming. Right off the bat, the imaging/separation of sounds was very good. After using it for an extended period of time, I found that the weak bass actually hurt its performance because many gaming sounds have quite a strong bass presence. The sharp treble kind of faked how good the imaging is, because in an ambient setting with no action, it sounds crisp/detailed. But once you actually get into the action, it doesn't feel quite right. I ended up returning it and picking up a used set of Yanyin Canon 2's and these are my primary gaming IEMs now (well sort of, I've since upgraded but still go back to the Canon2's on a regular basis). They're an older set so you can typically find them on used markets for great prices.

If you also play games, I'd recommend looking into the Yanyin Canon II. Amazing for music and games.

I think even decent IEMs are a big upgrade from the typical "gaming headsets". It's also easier to find an IEM that is good for games and music than it is a pair of headphones that can do both. The typical picks for gaming headphones are usually studio/reference headphones that are shout-y in the mid-range. Meanwhile IEMs like the Tea Pro, Volume S, Arcanis, Canon II, etc seem to be great music IEMs that happen to be good for gaming. Even my Tanchjim Origin (by no means wallhacks tier when it comes to imaging/sound stage) is better in games than my HD600.

he caps a bit on them because they're his collab, objectively $10 more expensive Splendor II are a bit better, they have better layering, it's easier to tell distance with them, directionality and everything else are just as good on both, I'd also give a slight edge to Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite, don't know what it is but it just feels a bit better. Arete are still very good and should objectively be near the top of B+ tier, just under Orchestra Lite but above S12 2024 right where the Yanyin Cannon also is, but that's $100 more, so it's good place to be tbh.
