Would you get the YAN and review it pls? I bought them but I’m not sure how to describe the sound, very different to what I’m used to. Very detailed without being fatiguing. I’m a bit bothered by the midrange. Fit is strange, I wouldn’t go walking with them in and only came with 1 size and type of ear tip.

The soundstage is huge and details are on par with planars despite having a non-airy treble presentation. You feel the bass more than you hear it, so the bass hits hard but the mids stay clean. Ear gain rises to 3k while not sounding shouty. No sibilance or harshness whatsoever. Can sound less energetic at first, but you get rewarded once you get used to the tuning. Honestly, like a reverse EA1000, they're kinda similar, but the tuning philosophies oppose each other. My setup: Foam eartips + RS9039 ( ESS config dac) + kbear st12 4.4mm

It's neither mid-bass nor sub-bass focused, despite what the graph says. You have this powerful, sometimes, non-audible sub bass paired with a thumpy mid bass due to the sub-bass decaying faster than usual. That's not to say the sub-bass does not exist, if the music calls for extreme sub-bass, the yu9 audio yan will deliver and then some. It doesn't go deep as bio-cellulose DDs like the aful explorer, but in return, the bass is textured and well-rounded. It does every genre well, but for me, it does busy instrument focused genres the best. Think classical, heavy metal, and jazz. My advice for you, if you do get it, is to give it some time to brain burn-in, like 2 to 3 days, and see if it's for you before returning it.

Yu9 audio yan. It's a weird iem. The bass depends on how much bass the artist/producer intended it to be. So in hiphop, it can get wild while in classical it just exists. Let's just say you feel the bass more than you hear it. Then comes the treble, it's extended but it dips at 10k. It sounded dull at first but after a couple of hours, you appreciate how natural everything sounds. Now what makes me recommend it is its technical ability. The details, seperation and soundstage that performs better than a planar iem.

How are you finding the detail retrieval on these things? I'm in awe in how it beat my planar iems handily, when it came to detail retrieval and soundstage.
