I have the Arcanis but wasn’t really blown away by them. I’ve see people recommend changing the tips. What tips did you use with yours?

I use Divinus Velvet Wide Bore or use memory foam eartips. I agree arcanis is good value for technical and accuracy. I rather pay for driver mostly and keep shitty accessories for backup because I would buy better accessories anyway.

the monarch mkiv can sound jarring if you’re coming from a warmer iem (i have the sa6 mk2 and it’s hard for me to categorize. sometimes it sounds warm, sometimes it sounds open and bright—not sure how you hear it). but, since it’s already in your hands, i’d give it some more time. just today, i put mine on and found them to be warmer than i remembered. sometimes it just depends on what you heard last, how tired you are, etc. otherwise, maybe the mega5est. it’s more vocal forward than the sa6 mk2 and more conventionally tuned, so it would complement your sa6 by giving you something that sounds a little more proper while being more laid back and natural than the monarch mkiv. you also don’t give up too much in terms of technicalities. coming from the monarch mkiv, the bass will definitely sound less defined, but i think it fits the overall sound signature well. some people call the mega5est boring, but musicality is subjective and hard to define. i’m a neutral head and the mega5est has a touch more warmth and bass than what i consider neutral, so in that sense, it’s musical to me. if you want to be risk-averse, the ziigaat arcanis has pretty much replaced the sa6 mk2 in my rotation. it’s what i expected the sa6 mk2 to sound like (and what i wanted the mega5est to sound like). a bit more sub bass and bit more satisfying bass overall. i find the upper mids and vocals of the sa6 mk2 to be too recessed and the arcanis addresses this by bringing them forward just a smidge (but not as much as the mega5est). vocals have a vibrant quality to them that you might consider musical. and there is just enough treble extension to give it air and sparkles. it doesn’t come across as technical as the sa6 mk2, but all of the details are still there. it’s unique and i actually like it more than the mega5est, but that comes down to how it fits in my collection penon/isn has been recommended a lot. i can vouch for the ebc80. its warm, has phenomenal sound stage, and is super fun. it isn’t fatiguing at all to me, but it doesn’t really fall under the category of laid back. their other iems might for the bill, though. these recommendations i think would be an “upgrade” to the sa6 mk2. however, my philosophy is that for a laid back sound, you don’t need to spend a lot of money. so personally, my warm, laid back iem is the ziigaat arcadia. it’s warm, punchy, has just enough treble, and with the right tips, can sound just as well-executed and beautiful as anything in the $200-$250 range. i prefer it to my penon serial and canon 2 for this purpose. i’ve also been going to the odyssey 2 a lot for a laid back listen, though it is not as warm. the punch audio martilo is also a good choice if you think you can tolerate a lot of sub bass. it sounds mostly normal and conventional, which, like the mega5est, could complement the sa6 mk2 well. when there isn’t a lot of sub bass in a song, it doesn’t sound like a bass head iem. but when there is, the bass sounds like you have a sealed subwoofer in front of your face.

Yup arcanis is absolutely fantastic and top tier for vocals. It's my daily on the go iem. It lays bare every vocal inflection, technique and detail so beautifully with the lip-smacking end-consonant bite that's simply on another level. Mystic 8 is the purest, cleanest and ethereal female vocals but arcanis is the most nuanced and revealing. These 2 are absolutely goated for vocals in their own unique way. Something like the tanchjim origin is what many call vocal magic but I find that it overly smoothes over vocals, hiding any 'flaws' and sweetens voices to a slightly unnatural extent.

I haven’t seen any graphs yet, but Xenns Top Pro looks promising. The OG top is pretty comparable to the Variations. Do you like less mid bass/dip in lower mids? My most recent purchase was the Arcanis, and it might fit your preference. It does not have as much bass as the Tea Pro, but it digs low with more sub bass focus.

I haven’t heard the Variations myself. The Arcanis can reach deep when called for with good low end layering and detail. It rumbles but not as much as some of the sets I’ve heard with low end graphs like the variations (Ej07m, hype 4/10)

I tried several Ziigaat IEMs at CanJam, and among them I was most impressed with the Arcanis. The Horizon was my second favorite but if I was to buy one Ziigaat IEM it would be the Arcanis.

Jeez. Its really getting to the point where we can almost say mid-fi has been saved by Ziigaat. The despot of 200-400USD is looking pretty good, as someone who really liked listening to the crescent and arcanis.

Definitely the original Odyssey is the most interesting due to its tuning and high volume potential. And if budget is not a concern then definitely Arcanis for personal endgame!

Personally, I'm not a treble person myself. But I've tried the Arcanis and it's got a pretty good treble and vocal. My current IEM is Top Pro and it's pretty bright but got a good detail.

I use the Arcanis and tea pros. For gaming, they are both equally capable. It's a matter of frequency response preference. Arcanis is more natural sounding, so it's more immersive when gaming. The Tea pros may be more musically tuned, on the other hand. The differences are slim any way you look at it. They both use knowles BA but the Arcanis PET drivers offer better bass performance. Arcanis uses higher quality drivers but uses only 5BA while the tea pro has 6BA. Arcanis will offer almost the same technicalities as the tea pro but with a bit more detail retrieval and a wider soundstage, but the difference is small. Whether that's worth the higher price tag is up to you

I have an IEM that literally allows me to know where every single enemy and teammate is within 100 meters. A pair of iems that have good soundstage and imaging with a natural tune and good detail retrieval is more like wallhacking than you might believe. I am not lying when I say that I have been number 1 on the leaderboard 90% of the time ever since I got the Ziigaat Arcanis. Battlefield 2042 and COD warzone are what I'm normally playing, for reference. If you know where an enemy is before they know where you are, then you will win that gunfight almost every time, assuming you have good aim...

The Arcanis and the Lush are tuned similarly. Tuning has a big effect on soundstage and sometimes even imaging capabilities. I have used the Arcanis for gaming and I would say that it's top tier and edges out the tea pros for most games. That tuning is what gives the lush an advantage or the arete. However, the arete has similar imaging and layering qualities that make it equally wall-hack capable in lots of other games. The differences are pretty small and it comes down to what you want to prioritize. Besides, eq can turn almost any iem into a wall-hack tool, assuming they have the drivers to allow it.

I got my Arcanis earlier than expected, so here's some info that I don't think you'll find anywhere else on Reddit at the moment. Soundstage: width is a 9, height is an 8, and depth is at an 8 with stock ear tips. Instrument separation and imaging is a 9. It has a slight edge over my tea pros. Resolution is on par with the Elysian pilgrim, hype 4, and tea pros despite the comparatively recessed treble region. I'm still surprised by how natural my music sounds with this set. It's an interesting balance of musicality and reference tuning.

Oh well that explains everything. If you're one of a very few people here in this sub actually using iems for monitoring in a productive setting, then yes 100% you need neutral. I use the Ziigaat Arcanis for true monitoring. It seems like Ziigaat has taken that turn towards neutral to grab up all the hexa owners looking for upgrades and have been doing a good job at that

If you plan to upgrade from that Hydro, I'm testing the Arcanis and honestly I think it just beat the Tea Pros, yes they are 50dlls more with less accessories but I gotta say this honeymoon phase is really satisfying.

The Deuce is a great set, with good drivers. At that price range though, there are IEMs that sound way better, like the Pilgrims kings of details under 700dlls, Volume S, the new Arcanis—it's really good—and the HBB Punch, which is the bass king under $1000, in my opinion. Any of 4 sets will blow your mind and get you to 90% of the endgame soundwise in IEMs.

Based on my listening experience, For the best price-to-performance, I'd suggest The Pilgrims and the Studio4; they're difficult to surpass given they compete technically against IEMs costing twice as much. Others I highly recommend the Volume S/Arcanis/HBB Punch. Any of these would likely be an improvement over the Tea Pro.

I think even decent IEMs are a big upgrade from the typical "gaming headsets". It's also easier to find an IEM that is good for games and music than it is a pair of headphones that can do both. The typical picks for gaming headphones are usually studio/reference headphones that are shout-y in the mid-range. Meanwhile IEMs like the Tea Pro, Volume S, Arcanis, Canon II, etc seem to be great music IEMs that happen to be good for gaming. Even my Tanchjim Origin (by no means wallhacks tier when it comes to imaging/sound stage) is better in games than my HD600.
