"The chassis of the Odyssey fits snugly onto my ears concha with no pointy edges poking or any surface that would create a hotspot on my outer ears."
"Comfort was spot-on."
"Lucky me, I can wear them all day while working. 😄"

"Yeah the Odyssey are by far my favourite IEM in this price bracket. ... Someone from Ziigaat thought "Hey, what's the name of the best IEM in the world? Subtonic Storm? Let's built an IEM which at least graphs the same" ... and it worked out. Of course there are still worlds between, but for that price, great! ... The Odyssey is AMAZING for the price. Nothing comes close."

"Imaging and Resolution is definitely the strong point of this set, very pinpoint/precise and very good detail retrieval."
"Currently, the ZiiGaat Odyssey, paired with DTS:X Headphones (worth paying for! Stick with balanced), Tripowin foam tips, and a decent DAC+AMP, is serving me the best in FPS games on PC like OW2, Squad, Battlefield, Marvel Rivals, and STALKER 2. ... Of all the IEMs I've tried, Odyssey's staging is the widest, most accurate, and most immersive for my ears. ... All the others I mentioned are varying degrees of "effective enough" at ensuring that I hear footsteps, but the Odyssey beats them all at telling me exactly where those footsteps are in 3 dimensions."
"The sound stage, to me personally, seemed very good and the instrumental separation and the image were a delight, I agree with you that it's the best thing about the headset. ... offering a stage and image that is really surprising for an IEM."

"the truth is that I've been very impressed with the difference. ... They're exciting without losing that natural tone that I love."
"Much prefer the natural timbre of the Odyssey"

"I actually do agree they sound mid af even to me at low volume and everything about it scales higher/better as the volume goes up."
"they sound very different at low to moderate volume. ... I added them to my rotation of EA1000 and Tea Pro and they sounded incredibly dull and "not hi-fi" compared to both. ... Just felt boring (once again, at mid volume, coming from Ea1000 and Tea Pro)."
"though you have to crank them."

"Ziigaat tips and cable are some of the worst in the bracket, they use the same low quality cable that you so much think is great on almost all their iems? This cable would be acceptable in the 100-120$ range but for over 200 we can get better elsewhere. ... I actually own the Odyssey and have the same shitty cable and shitty tips ;D"
"the tips that comes with it kinda sucks? They're on the harder side and the surface is not sticky at all hence I can't get a good seal on em."
"the stock tips are quite bad"

"the fit is quite bad for me. ... The shell on the bottom is on the bigger side, the nozzle is getting too wide near the shell and after a few songs I can feel the discomfort."
"yes they are a bit chonky"
"the included tips wouldn ’t seal at full insertion depth. ... An articulating tip like the Spinfit CP100 was miles better as it sealed completely after the first ear canal bend"

"it was so bright I couldn't listen to it over 30% volume when explorer passed 70 with ez."
"This IEM, was just not for me. I tried and tried but I don't lisen to alot of kpop to justify the forwarded vocal and became very fatiguing."
"It's very bright (not to the point of sharp but almost there) so if you're treble sensitive pls avoid this set"
I'm curious about the Odyssey 2, because I already have the Odyssey 1! Best of luck everyone
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->Just enjoy them and give them more time. But if you’re buying in the next few months: since you love the Zero:Reds, you can definitely aim for the Truthear Novas. If you really like the EW200s, maybe try the Supermix 4 (they are kind of like the Nova but brighter). I actually had EW200s too before. >ZIIGAAT odysseys Yeah they are great, I demoed them twice and loved it. Not sure about the successor since I haven’t been able to try it. If you like treble specifically, consider planars like the Simgot ET142 or the S12 Pro. For multi-driver sets, you could also look for the Blessing 3.
r/iems • Where do I go from here? ->Either Ziigaat Lush, Odyssey 1, Luna, or Arcanis. I have tried Lush and Odyssey, and I think they are both punching way above their price point. Lush is honestly too good to skip for around $150 (based on local pricing) and Odyssey 1 is just a crazy set for about $200 (again, local pricing). As for Luna and Arcanis, unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to try them yet but hoping to tho.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->I have the odyssey 1, and I'm very curious about odyssey 2
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->might be too bright, try OG Odyssey
r/iems • My Ziigaat Horizon Review - Detail Beast? ->difference is more into maturity, general sound experience, and refinement. but it definitely depends on your preference tuning(s). I previously came from the original KZ Castors (both Bass and Silver Harman), then jumped to KZ AM16 Balanced, but I have already experienced few higher end IEMs around 50-200 USD. AM16 Balanced, especially if bought on a discount or at low price (just like mine at $33 locally here in the Philippines, but in the US it might be around $50-60). Better terms of detail retrieval, instrument separation, and "soundstage" vs the Castors (even if I EQ them to a similar preference EQ I like) But with a little bit more pricy set than the AM16 Balanced, because of its deep V-shape tuning and a little bit more refinement on those more expensive sets, those sets sound better overall. (specifically Ziigaat Odyssey 1) Though personally the AM16 Balanced with PEQ is getting there, sounds wonderful, though definitely those two sets are better, But definitely I know now what to upgrade to and most likely I know what are my end game sets. Until I don't need to EQ. My Mild-V/U shape EQ is around the Xenns Mangird Tea Pro and Ziigaat Odyssey 1. https://preview.redd.it/enkhr59aqhyf1.png?width=2400&format=png&auto=webp&s=35e8f417e92d2acc4f2be3885944fbb1a67f9a52
r/iems • Difference between cheap and expensive iems ->**The short and sweet:** ZiiGaat Odyssey is a competent set of 3-way hybrid IEMs with a slightly u-shaped tuning. I don’t think there’s anything ground-breaking about them but they’re very versatile and a safe buy. [The earshell isn't small but it's not dumpling-sized like in some flagships.](https://preview.redd.it/jt9dn99tj82e1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4cdeb3e8b0601fd470f90a13f114dd36d5b12d6a) **Quick specs:** * Drivers: 10mm DD + 2x Knowles 32873 + Knowles 33518 * Sensitivity: 104dB (likely efficiency as they’re more sensitive than 104dB/V) * Impedance: 18 Ohms * Kit: 1.2m copper cable, S/M/L rubber tips, M-size foam tips, pleather hard case for carrying # Intro ZiiGaat is the next Linsoul in-house IEM brand similar to Thieaudio. They’ve been making IEMs for other brands, but for about a year, they release their own. All of their IEMs use the usual acrylic shell design with eye-catching sparkly faceplate designs. Lately, ZiiGaat has gone a bit loco with collabs so the Odyssey is a way to hear what they can do with their own expertise. [That's all we get. If the stock eartips works well for you, it might be enough!](https://preview.redd.it/o9ed4kgvj82e1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f197faebf0913cca4d118317eadc1f88c4a3c605) # Build and haptics The ZiiGaat Odyssey shares the same acrylic earshell build as most other IEMs that are 3D-printed by the same Chinese production house. The base material is black with a more translucent part on the faceplate to show off the duo-tone particles and the ZiiGaat logo. It’s not the most beautiful faceplate I’ve encountered as Thieaudio and others do flashy better but I appreciate its understated charm. What I do love is the metal nozzle with a retention lip that prevents eartips from slipping off. I sometimes use IEMs on film sets as monitoring equipment and believe me - you don’t want to keep the whole set waiting for you to go eartip fishing with Leatherman pliers in your earhole (Thanks, Moondrop Blessing 3!). [The cable is a bit thin but ergonomically works quite well.](https://preview.redd.it/gday2isxj82e1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0a30a50231cc7794c9c2d6a2d48bdd4e5e16ea3) In terms of earshell size, the ZiiGaat Odyssey isn’t small but it’s not exactly flagship-sized either. Super tiny ears will have trouble but most should be fine. The shape of the shell agreed with my ears pretty well but the included tips wouldn’t seal at full insertion depth. An articulating tip like the Spinfit CP100 was miles better as it sealed completely after the first ear canal bend # Sound The ZiiGaat Odyssey has a quite safe base tuning with a bass elevation that luckily includes sub and bass-proper. The mids are super flat and the highs seem pretty well-behaved. Even with more abrasive genres like death-metal ear fatigue never crept in sooner than usual. Of course, better treble can be found in IEMs that use electret drivers but those usually cost more. In terms of technicalities, the Odyssey is competent enough and delivers what I’ve come to expect at the price point. There’s enough resolution to appreciate detailed recordings, but the decent tuning means that you have to listen in for it, as it’s not particularly hyped. I was very pleasantly surprised with the soundstage and imaging as it’s rather wide and articulate without making things sound too distant. # Comparisons [I never find either the Odyssey or Sogno to be big until I drop the EA1000 in my ear...](https://preview.redd.it/xgmzs654k82e1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8671f6a4c0549a79320b2c66d267b05ec23fd88) **VS I\\O Sogno** The Sogno showers you with copious accessories and basically makes every other near-peer IEM look poor. ZiiGaat have never been too generous with their kit and the 220EUR Odyssey basically comes with the same set as the 1700EUR Jupiter - a case, cable, and 2x types of eartips. In terms of sound, the Odyssey is the safer choice as the Sogno is noticeably brighter. Both have roughly the same mids. The Sogno has a bit more in-your-face imaging but some folks like that kind of thing. The bass on the Sogno is better refined but lower in level compared to the highs. **VS Simgot EA1000** The Simgot also has the ZiiGaat beat in terms of build and accessories. As for the sound, the single DD has that magical coherence that low to mid-fi multi-driver IEMs can’t really touch. Tonality-wise it’s more bright and with less prominent bass. When it comes to midrange, I feel like the EA1000 does a better job. In terms of overall technicalities the Odyssey has the EA1000 beat but not by much. # Conclusion ZiiGaat are masters of the hybrid IEM, just take a look at their product range! It’s almost all hybrids of every shape and size. I don’t think the Odyssey is a groundbreaking IEM in some single aspect and probably won’t get the FOTM status as the EA1000 or the MP145. At the same time, I have very few qualms about recommending it to most listeners as it does just about everything well and I can’t imagine where it might disappoint besides the spartan kit. [ZiiGaat know how to make them pretty.](https://preview.redd.it/1ttzkj89k82e1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b02e9552526be35e7487d03e772faeb90a70bfd) **Strong B+** Thanks for tuning in and feel free to ask questions! Get the Odyssey at [Linsoul](https://www.linsoul.com/products/ziigaat-odyssey) or one of the other marketplaces. ^(Disclaimer - these IEMs were sent to me for review by Linsoul, they had no direct say over the content of my writing. The usual biases apply as I didn’t have to pay for the product and would like to maintain a relationship with them. With that said, I have written a lukewarm review for Thieaudio Hype 2 and we’re still friends.)
r/headphones • ZiiGaat Odyssey IEM review - Do the Evolution ->Horizon and Luna. I have the OG odyssey and love them.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->great options, would get the estrella to eq and mess with but odyssey is always a great listening experience
r/iems • $250 IEM’s ->I own and love the OG Odyssey and would love to try the Luna!
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->For a cheap set, I'd say Wan'er either 1 or 2, but 1 imo has the better fit because of the nozzle and nozzle angle. For the in-between, KZ Zenith. A seriously good set, I was kinda done with budget IEMs after I got that. For a I just want something really really good and dont mind spending the money even though its my first purchase in this market, Ziigaat x Fresh Reviews Arete OR Ziigaat Odyssey.
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->Odyssey too bright? I think you either got a bad seal on it or its defective. Ody isnt the warmest set but its definitely not bright either. And its one of those sets that scales very well with volume. In fact id say it NEEDS volume to sound best.
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->Get a Iem with good detail retrieval or a unique running like the ziigaat odyssey and y’all be blow away
r/iems • I cant really tell the difference between 200$ IEMs and 30$ IEMs ->Personally I would go with the Odyssey. I think you can get the same or similar experience out of a planar for much less money. But that is just my opinion.
r/iems • 7Hz Timeless II or Ziigaat Odyssey ->The KE4 and the DaVinci should be good for the sound signature you're after. The Ziigat Odyssey have a V-shaped tuning, which is not really neutral, but if you're looking for a V-shaped IEM those are the ones to beat right now apparently. If you can pony up $50-$100 more I can personally recommend the Moondrop Dusk, the default DSP tuning aims for the same meta tuning the KE4 and the DaVinci aim for, which is a mostly "neutral" sound signature with a slight bass boost.
r/iems • IEMs within $200 to $300? ->Yeah me too, I have some very expensive sets, like the IE600, and I prefer the EW300 over the IE600... I still prefer my Ziigaat Odyssey, or my Mangird Xenns Top, but damn the Simgot is indeed very very good for the asked price
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->Aful p5+2, myer audio ck2v, kiwi ears ke4, epz p50, ziigaat odyssey. The 200$ish range has a lot of hidden gems based on my experience, so check them out. For EDM I think you need a good textured bass, great instrument separation, and good treble extension, but that's my preference, so I can hear the details from what the producer intended.
r/iems • Ultimate IEMs Recommendations List ->I really love the Ziigaat odyssey, I've been eyeing it after trying it. It's the first IEM thats really wowed me.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->I've listened to all except KE4, and base on what i thought: 1. If you like bass than the others: Aful Explorer with "L-shape sound signature" (on small volume). If you crank up volume to medium-high, sounds will much better but still focus on bass, especially subbass. 2. Harman enjoyer: Truthear Nova/Supermix 4 with "Harman/U-shape sound signature". SM4 will have more subbass than midbass, but doesn't bleeding to mid. Uppermid/female vocal sounds really good. Treble also, and feel it somehow better than Nova. If you like the "rumble" in your ears, you'll prefer SM4 than Nova, although both of them are Harman sound signature. 3. Less bass, vocal more sparkle than Harman: KE4 with "Meta/JM-1". Although I said I haven't listened KE4, but I experienced some higher "kinda" have same sound signature, like Softears Volume S/Thieaudio Hype 4. Sounds nearly perfect to me, not too much or too less bass, but vocal really shines overall. Treble reached enough height to not become too harsh like the name "meta". 4. Least bass of all with higher treble is S12 Pro. Cuz of Planar driver, the bass isn't really have much quantity, but it has good control, hit really tight, and decay very fast, which is not good for basshead. Treble is what it did best, it perfectly fit if you like listen to some genres with treble focus like orchestra or sth related. But if you like, you listen to many different genres, I recommend you choose Ziigaat Odyssey. Unboxing experience/packaging is very bad cuz they spent all money to the iems itself. Thats why it sounds good. If this will be your first iems then I recommend you should buy few cheap iems first to find out your liking. Tangzu Wan'er 2 for Vocal, Kinera Celest Wyvern Abyss/Wyvern Black Remaster (will release soon) for Bass, and Moondrop Lan for Treble. From what I learnt, the number of drivers is not the factor decides that iems is good or not. Look at the KZ, dumped in a hell lot of drivers, and it still sounds like dogshit to me. Compare to Aful Magicone, which uses only one BA driver, but it can make none of the bullshit KZ with the same, even higher price range can mess up with Magicone. Or higher we have Softears Twilight which is my future target, have only one Dynamic Driver at price 800$, but it still have a lot of respect from many audiophiles. Even higher? Sennheiser IE900, 1500$, still 1 Dynamic also.
r/iems • best 100-200$ iems ->I'm interested in the ziigaat odyssey, got to hear them at Canjam and they were a fun set
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->I picked up the Odysseys and they are fantastic, I can't really fault any part of the sound or packaging besides MAYBE the "only okay" cable, but I have a half-dozen better cables lying around anyway. They're a terrific all-rounder set that fits my sound tastes so well, I really can't see myself needing anything else unless I wanted to make a profound price jump to, say, an Oracle Mk3 or a Dunu BD.
r/iems • What are you favourite IEMs Under $300? ->If you’re not too treble sensitive I can vouch for Ziigaat Odyssey. I’ve been gravitating towards breakcore recently (mostly Igorrr and more ambient stuff like Sewerslvt) and it really shine in these genres. Good bass impact and rumble, and detailed upper register where the crazy drums happens. I don’t really enjoy the Odyssey for metal / punk adjacent stuff (which are my default genres), but I was pleasantly surprised to see how well it handled breakcore.
r/iems • Recommendations for breakcore ->I have the Aful and EW300. Sold the Supermix 4. For gaming and or just big sound the supermix 4 is best but felt clinical. The Aful sounded the muddiest but it's actually not muddy at all, it's just very smooth and is my go to for all day fatigue free listening at work. EW300 is my backup that never gets used. Good all arounder but the smallest sound. These days, I use the Ziigaat Odyssey for music enjoyment.
r/iems • Which iem should i buy.? I prefer clarity and warm sound and i listen to all genre ->I think your preferences would be far better served by something like the KiwiEars KE4, or the also new Ziigaat Odyssey. As your preference with Fan3 would indicate you like that later JM1 style upper mids Pina Gain. An out of left field alternative would be the AFUL Performer 5. Or possibly the Performer 5+2 (or Performer 7 as some people call it). Personally the Performer 5 is a little brighter, which leans more towards the Fan3, but the 5+2 has a little more clinical detail up top. And way out in super right field, is the KiwiEars Airoso, it might be a little too U shaped for proper monitor use. But it is very clean in the upper mids and treble, and has excellent detail. There really isnt anything i have found that the Airoso cant play well. And for the current sub-$100 price, it punches WAY above its price target. Not that you came here looking for advice, buuuuttt...its interesting to get some alternative perspectives. https://audioamigo.squig.link/?share=Ziigaat_Lush,Ziigaat_Cinno,Ziigaat_Odyssey,Penon_Fan_3_BC_Off,Kiwi_Ears_KE4,AFUL_Performer_5,Kiwi_Ears_Airioso
r/iems • ZiiGaat Lush First Impressions ->Odyssey my pick too, fun, capable, impressive, fun again.
r/iems • New to IEMS help me decide on the best pair under $200 ->YES the Odyseey is very special. I often can't chose between them and my Estrella's Ziigaat is making some great IEMs.
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->Everybody's ears are different. The stock ear tips work perfectly in my ears and imho are quite good. Yes I've tried 7 or 8 different tips with these. I love my Estrella's but when they are a bit to aggressive the Odyssey's balance fits the spot very nicely. Ziigaat seems to underprice all their products making them a great deal. If I had paid $280 -$300 for the Odyssey's I'd still be a happy customer.
r/iems • Ziigaat Odyssey Review (v/s KE4, Estrella) ->I love my Ziigaat's Estrella and Odyssey but it dose seem ridicules how many slightly different models they are putting out. How about a truly endgame model for much less than others, Say a Thieaudio Monarch MKIV quality IEM for say $850.
r/iems • KZiigaat back at it again ->Ziigaat Odyssey, just plain awesome set, tastefully tuned. This is after I acquired the HBB Punch, my endgame but after the arrival of the Odyssey I haven't been able to take them out of my ears. I agree with Jays Audio in that they take you on an immersive eargasmic journey.
r/iems • What's an IEM related purchase you do not regret splurging for? ->Well it's not all that similar but I also love the Ziigaat Odyssey, not as much bass but still plenty, and more clean balanced kind of tuning. The tuning's got that special sauce that provides an immersive and involving experience. They're nice to crank, then that gets the bass thumpin'.
r/iems • Should I go through with purchasing the FatFreq Deuces? ->I love the Ziigaat Odyssey, clean and balanced yet still strong mid-bass punch and sub-bass slam. Totally immersive experience, a true pleasure with special sauce tuning. More modest entry level would be the 7hz Zero 2. Decent but not spectacular, it's balanced with good bass. Also there's the default Truthear Zero Red and Blue 2. I have the Red, which is neutral with bass boost, again decent but not too exciting.
r/iems • Recommendation for my first IEM ->Much talk of the Deuce which can offer massive sub-bass but only modest amounts of mid-bass, less than the Rosefinch. What you really want is the Kiwi x HBB Punch, but it's double your budget so just keep it in mind for endgame. Sneaky good for EDM are the Ziigaat Odyssey, though you have to crank them. But lotsa mid-bass thump and sub-bass rumble, while maintaining balance and clarity. They have immersive special sauce as well.
r/iems • New to IEM’s. Need Bass cannons and advice on how to drive them. Anything will be appreciated! ->Odyssey abs Arete are two that I'd really love to own huu
r/iems • $200-$300 iems? Too many options ->No offense taken! And in fact I actually do agree they sound mid af even to me at low volume and everything about it scales higher/better as the volume goes up. It IS a high volume set after all and that's where it shines the most. Can't say much about the Fermat but the Tea Pro cost around 60% from where I'm at so I feel like it's not a fair comparison (Honestly I would've went with the Tea Pro if I had more money here tbh xD).
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->First off I wanna say I'm not an audiophile so my opinion might sound newbish so forgive me. This is actually only my 3rd set with Chu 2 and Truthear Hexa being my 1st & 2nd. And since I can only compare this to the Hexa my initial impression was that the Odyssey is so much more "musical" compared to the neutral tuned Hexa. The bass on the Odyssey has very clean texture and has more presence and yet it has quick decay so it sounds really clean. Tho Id say it can still have more rumble. For the midrange I feel like it focuses more on the tone so everything feels very rich(especially on EDMs) while the vocal is ever so slightly recessed. The treble is where I see quite a few ppl have complains about and I can hear why now that I have em on. It's very bright (not to the point of sharp but almost there) so if you're treble sensitive pls avoid this set, and IF you're not this makes all the instrumental very lively and bright and it's such a vibe imo (luckily I'm not treble sensitive) It's hard to comment on the Tech cus I don't have much to go off to make a comparison but I'll try. Imaging and Resolution is definitely the strong point of this set, very pinpoint/precise and very good detail retrieval. While the soundstage(with my 1hr ish of listening) is decent but I'd say not like it "wowed" me if compared to the Hexa. All and all it's a very very musical set. Works on many genres (tested on j-pop, rock, edm, post rock, hip-hop, classical, slow indies) with EDM standing out amongst them. DON'T BUY if you're treble sensitive. BUY if you're not treble sensitive it's just that easy this is such a good set to just vibe.
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->Oh that's definitely on the more expensive side cus I got mine for about 190ish euro after conversion directly from Ziigaat's website. That said, IMO you should ALWAYS trust your own ear. If you feel like the Odyssey is not worth the upgrade then sure pls refund it and save yourself some money. But as someone who's in this hobby I would say maybe you should give a few more IEMs around this price range (or maybe higher) a chance and who knows maybe you'll find something you like.
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->Btw tested with Dunu S&S tips cus the tips that comes with it kinda sucks? They're on the harder side and the surface is not sticky at all hence I can't get a good seal on em.
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->Yeah the Odyssey are by far my favourite IEM in this price bracket. Someone from Ziigaat thought "Hey, what's the name of the best IEM in the world? Subtonic Storm? Let's built an IEM which at least graphs the same" ... and it worked out. Of course there are still worlds between, but for that price, great!
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->This will be a very quick review. About me: I am coming from the Moondrop Variations as my daily driver. I just wanted something non-harman/meta-tuned which does not break the bank. I tested many IEMs in different price ranges. After I daily used the Odyssey now for a few weeks, I feel confident enough to write a short review. The best thing about the Odyssey is no doubt the tuning. It's rooted on the new meta with adding a bit more excitement in the bass and treble, but really just a bit. It sounds very different as my last daily driver, which have a much more colorised tuning (harman IE 2019) - which can sound great, but they are really hit and miss depending on the song. That's the reason why I decided I need something more versatile which works with all sorts of content (basically all music genres, movies, gaming). I consider this a "common sense endgame", because if someone wants to enter the expensive world of IEMs, the Odyssey can be reasonable advised as an one-and-only purchase because of it's sound signature. This can be of course also said about other meta-tuned IEMs in that price range. They don't really differ a lot in how they sound. If you looking at higher price ranges, there is the Monarch MK2 with a similar tuning but much better technicalities. I A/B tested both while testing and can say with confidence that the difference here is not worth the decreased comfort and increased price for the MK2. Maybe I am not "audiophile" enough to hear a big difference or I had not enough time to test the Monarchs. Another thing is how easy the Odyssey can be driven. Connected to the 3.5 Audiojack of a Macbook 16% of audio volume is a sweet spot. You basically have no volume problems on any source. Connected to a Qudelix 5K DAC/AMP they sound the same. Using a DSP/EQ to normalise the sound to JM-1 - I like the native sound signature more than the original new meta (JM-1) - it just adds some excitement without being too much. It can be still considered as neutral with bass boost. One drawback is how sensitive they seem to be. Connected to a "poor DAC" (e.g. Playstation Portal 3.5 Audiojack or DualSense Controller 3.5 Audiojack), there is a noticeable background hiss and noise floor when a sound is played. This is not so noticeable when gaming, but I would definitely not advise the Odyssey if this is a use-case for you. Compared to that, the Variations do sound absolutely clean connected to the DualSense or PS Portal. In it's price range, I would easily give the Odyssey a 10/10 Score with the Label "Endgame for most". If price doesn't matter, maybe a 8/10.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Odyssey - Quick Review (tldr: 220$ Endgame) ->IEMs have much more space for the driver(s). That’s the main reason why they “sound better”. At a certain price point they include one dynamic driver which acts as subwoofer and balanced amateurs which do the rest and at a higher price point they add electrostatic drivers or micro planar drivers which act as tweeters. I believe this is the main difference. In TWS the space is booked by a battery, a microchip and some sensors and the actual driver unit is very small. But to be fair, one dynamic driver can do wonders. I have the AirPods Pro 2 and they sound phenomenal for what they are. They definitely sound better than some budget IEMs below 50 bucks. But my Ziigaat Odyssey (220$) absolutely blow them out of the water in terms of resolution and depths.
r/iems • How much better is IEM compared to TWS? ->Ziigaat Odyssey hands down lol
r/iems • Are there good bassi Iems for 400$? ->I’ve had these for about a month and they are great. They made me not want to buy any more iems honestly. I was a bit gun shy because there was a post saying how they were harsh or sibilant in the upper treble and they posted a link to a few songs where they encountered issues. I listened to those songs with my other iems and they all hurt my ears at the same time stamp. These are a great pair and I am very happy with the purchase. I got them on the Linsoul website and they took forever to ship and got delayed, I think it took 6 weeks or so to get them to the states.
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->It was on my list for over a year and when I finally got it excitement was through the roof....untill I listened with it. Eq'd my Explorer towards the target and it sounded like a better explorer, but the iem it self was just Garbage. Bass was sharp with no thumb, it was so bright I couldn't listen to it over 30% volume when explorer passed 70 with ez. It had nice details but that's where it ends. So glad I grabbed used from pawnshop online and can return it. Moral of the story is never meet your heroes
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->It's the og, new have different face plate
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->Odyssey had more detail, and untill then I didn't know what ppl ment by that. I heard things I never heard. Was so hyped and the faceplate made my so happy with ho beautiful it was......
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->Sla3 didn't fit me as I couldn't get the seal and it still sounded great. Odyssey fits great on 6/8 ear tip types I have
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->Odyssey felt rly good (accept the cable) and face plate looks lovely. Problem is it sound just bad for me. There wasn't a single iem that was bad when I try, only maybe not everything I want like hexa
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->In my quest for the best gaming IEM, I've tried or owned the Tanchjim Oxygen, TripowinxHBB Olina, Softears RSV, Simgot EM6L, Letshuoer EJ07, Truthear Nova, and ZiiGaat Odyssey, among others not worth mentioning. Some $2,000 invested in my handicap of not being able to use open back headphones, which is most ideal for gaming by nearly every measure. Fuck me for having heatsinks for ears! What I've learned is that staging and, to a lesser degree, imaging are critical, yet often under appreciated when you see answers to the question of the best gaming IEM. By staging I mean being able to determine exactly where a particular sound (such as footsteps) is coming from in 2 or, ideally, 3 dimensional space, as well as distinguish it from other similar sounds coming from that direction that are even slightly nearer, farther, above, or below. Currently, the ZiiGaat Odyssey, paired with DTS:X Headphones (worth paying for! Stick with balanced), Tripowin foam tips, and a decent DAC+AMP, is serving me the best in FPS games on PC like OW2, Squad, Battlefield, Marvel Rivals, and STALKER 2. Of all the IEMs I've tried, Odyssey's staging is the widest, most accurate, and most immersive for my ears. All the others I mentioned are varying degrees of "effective enough" at ensuring that I hear footsteps, but the Odyssey beats them all at telling me exactly where those footsteps are in 3 dimensions. It's also great for general purpose listening.
r/inearfidelity • IEM for gaming ->No EQ. I quite like the out-of-the-box sound of the Odyssey, with the stock cable and foam tips. For gaming I use DTS:X Headphones (Balanced, no preset). For music I sometimes swap to either the Nova or EJ07, but Odyssey is decent enough for general purpose. Nova just strikes the perfect sweet spot for my music library and the EJ07 is great for focused listening, where I want to immerse myself. The Odyssey is a great balance between them, no EQ necessary. Although the foam tips the Odyssey comes with are great, they will eventually degrade at some point so I've been sampling other tips to prepare. I've been using the Divinus Velvet Wide Bore tips almost exclusively for the last month and they're great. Of the handful of 3rd party tips I've tried thus far, they're the only tips that meet or beat the stock foams for most of my listening content. For gaming, I think the Divinus tips further improve on the 3d imaging accuracy.
r/inearfidelity • IEM for gaming ->Always liked the ziigaat odyssey
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->Odysseys are one of my favourite IEMs below 500$. It's a shame they did disappoint you, but we all different, just as our ears. Wish you better luck with next ones!
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->Instead of the Deuce? I’d pick up the Ziigaat Odyssey. Not as much impact, but much more resolving and technically better overall. Much prefer the natural timbre of the Odyssey
r/HeadphoneAdvice • BASS IEM Recommendations, 300 dollars budget (willing to buy second hand) ->I got the Odyssey about a month ago, put some Dunu S&S tips and it quickly became my second favorite set. The first one? The Explorer. That just goes to show you how different our ears are.
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->I had them for a couple of weeks and I largely agree, they are an everymans endgame at a low price. If there is a flaw it's that it does everything so overall well that it might not stand out in a larger collection. My take is that it is a straight upgrade over the Performer 5 in terms of sound, which I didn't find with the 5+2, that one is more a sidegrade, though still good just slightly different tuning. I also noticed it's a bit more source and cable sensitive vs your average hybrid; Using a good source and upgrading the cable make it sound a bit more composed especially in the highs. It is a bit bassy for my taste but nothing that actually causes a problem. Still, people should look at the graphs, because if you know for sure that you like rolled-off highs this is not the IEM for you; It is pretty safe in the highs but still extended so the treble does stand out. Unfortunately I didn't keep it. Why? Basically because it sits between two other IEMs in my collection and there was no need to fill the gap. Great for those who don't have a lot of IEMs though and are looking to step into higher-performance hybrids. More expensive hybrids become harder to justify because the gap is not large in terms of sound but in terms of price it can be. For example the Tea Pro is very similar it just has more drivers, but overall the Odyssey is 90% the way there for $100+ less.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Odyssey - Quick Review (tldr: 220$ Endgame) ->**My full review is [here](https://youtu.be/KccNyxkJ1Kk) , if you cannot or do not want to watch my full review below I have shared a brief pros and cons** My Ziigaat Odyssey Review | $200 Endgame? 🤔 - The overall sound quality is so good, that these have been my go to iem even though I have some more expensive iems - Price of $200 is really competitive and could be the final iem for most people. Also a great upgrade path for people using $80-100 iems - Although chonky, they are quite comfortable - Very easy to drive , but they do scale very well more power - Goes well for most genres - The tactility of the bass is really good - Very good soundstage and plays well with live songs - While it does goes well with most genres, it could come across a bit boring to some - The included accessories is quite sparse for the price A subscribe to my [channel](https://youtube.com/@hokagoteatimereviews) would be a great way of supporting me and would really be appreciated.
r/iems • Ziigaat Odyssey Review (v/s KE4, Estrella) ->If you find sm4 too bright, highly suggest checking out the artti t10 pro. My review on them should by this week. Depending on how sensitive you are and how loud you listen to Odyssey's might get a bit hot in the treble area. Although I personally never felt it! Odyssey's are a good partner to the lean sounding sm4 and yes they are a bit chonky.
r/iems • Ziigaat Odyssey Review (v/s KE4, Estrella) ->I did compare it in my full YouTube review. But in short I prefer the odyssey as they are tuned better for most genres. Estrella could be spicy utop for many and they are quite a high volume set
r/iems • Ziigaat Odyssey Review (v/s KE4, Estrella) ->Odyssey I can vouch for. Very competent allrounder. I skipped the Deuce since many said EQ'ing the same bass for far cheaper sets gives better results.
r/iems • $200-$300 iems? Too many options ->Ziigaat Odyssey if you want something neutral with bass boost (the bass really kick in ngl I love that), Performace 5 if you want warm tuning, Kbear Tri I3 Mark 3 if you want something bright but not harsh smooth and great for vocal.
r/iems • I need advice 🙏🙏 ->ziigaat odyssey, bass goodness
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->Got my first pair of IEMs (truthear x crin zero red) a few years ago and typically favoured TWS until I got my FiiO BTR13 this year which is when I jumped into the audiophile rabbit hole. Instead of carefully considering my next pair of IEMS using graphs and reviews, I impulsively bought a few sets to see what kind of tuning I enjoyed the most. I found the Tangzu wan’er 2 quite pleasant and wanted to upgrade from there. I went to audiofest Toronto 2025 and found the ZIIGAAT odysseys which felt like a steep price but I’m obsessed with the sound. Ended up buying the FiiO FT1 while I was there and I love them. I plan on selling the zero reds as I’m not a fan of the bass signature and I bought the simgot EW200s and I’ve been loving them very much. As of now my current daily’s are my EW200 with my snowsky echo mini or the BTR13, my FiiO ft1 and a pair of grado SR60e for desktop open backs. Where do I go from here?
r/iems • Where do I go from here? ->I have the Ziigaat odyssey and im planning to write a review on them here soon. So far, I like them. They are definitely inferior to over ear headphones in the same price range tho. They have phenomenal bass and a very good sound stage. Male and female vocals sound very good, not shouty at all. The bass definitely bleeds into the lower mids. My biggest issue with them is the fitting. I have to shove them deep into my ears or they will fall out. Even though I have very big ears, the odysseys stick out a lot (which is why they fall out). This makes them look a bit weird and I feel self conscious wearing them outside. Havent tried them for gaming but the simgot em6l are the king for budget gaming anyway. If you love vocals, definitely look into the tonsum origins. The odysseys are very good allrounders that do everything good enough but dont excel at anything
r/iems • $200-$300 iems? Too many options ->idk if this is troll or not but LOL the odyssey isn't really that bright, maybe compared to the explorer it might seem shoutier but that's it. You just have a horrendous seal or you're so used to the recessed upper mids of the explorer that you think the odyssey is bright. Listen to the iems for 2-5 more days, sift through your library and focus on your favourite tracks. Let your ears get used to the sound. But you just first need to try tip rolling, get the best tips for your ears. If even after you do all that nothing works, then yeah, they aren't for you, but calling them bright threw me off guard, especially when you say eq'ing explorers somehow sounded fine. It definitely is a tip issue to me.
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->It's the idea of "experts" gaslighting you into believing that a certain sound signature is "meta", and that if your current iems (probably ones that were all the rage a year previously) don't reproduce this meta, then you're just listening incorrectly. Also, this notion of an "end game" pair of iems. I got lucky and found mine - the Ziigaat Odyssey. They have the perfect sound signature for me (after experimenting and coupling with the Kbear Coffee Tips). And yet, I still find myself wondering if the Volume S, or the Da Vinci or Hype will be even better. Or maybe I need to upgrade my DAP, or my cables? It never ends. Lastly, it always amuses me when these youtube reviewers, sat among tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment and presenting themselves as the gatekeepers of good hifi, have the most appalling taste in music. Pop or edm or some cheesy ballads.
r/iems • I quit ->Ziigaat (and all Linsoul brands) suck. They cost at most $20 to make, but all that money went into the branded drivers. What you're left with is an IEM with the quality of a $20 shitbud, but with Knowles BAs instead of "custom" BAs (you can't hear the difference anyway). Aful went in another direction, they use custom BAs (cheaper to buy) but put their $20 into the shells, cables etc. So you're left with a more refined product that feels a lot more premium. And the Explorer only costs $100, but put them side by side with the Odyssey and you'd guess the Explorer is more expensive.
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->I’m glad to hear your thoughts on the Odyssey! I recently got mine, and honestly, they impressed me even more than I expected. The soundstage and imaging are fantastic, and they have a fun yet natural tonality that keeps me engaged. I can see why you prefer them over the Supermix 4. Definitely one of the best IEMs I’ve tried in this price range!
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->Certainly do what makes sense for you but if you end up getting another set for $150-$200 quickly then do that again to upgrade to the Tea Pros (or other super recommended $300-$600 dollar set). Then you do run the risk of losing some cash on older sets they will succeed. The jump up to that mid range is a big one in terms of clarity/separation/soundstage once you get into the higher driver counts. I did the dance a little backwards and went to the Tea Pros for my 2nd set then tried to mess with cheaper options to see if other tuning sounded better to me. Fully failed that experiment in the end. I was just out about $300 bucks for the other 4 "budget" recommendations for various tuning models. If you wanted to stretch to something around the $200 dollar range, the Ziigaat Odyssey is very nice for the price. If you listen loud they get bonus points.
r/iems • Next step from Kiwi Ear Aethers ->"Budget" is a tricky term since everyone's means are different. I purchased the Ziigaat Odyssey for my "meta" test but that is roughly $200 USD. Absolutely loved it for $190 USD, it was the only set that was competition for the Tea Pros to my ears. Just based on graphs/reviews in isolation, I would probably explore something around the Kefine Delci around $90 dollars for a more budget friendly option. I'm sure someone could make a better recommendation if they own the sets in your desired budget. [https://hbb.squig.link/?share=IEF\_Comp\_Target,Zi\_Odys,Kefine\_Delci,Kiwi\_Aether](https://hbb.squig.link/?share=IEF_Comp_Target,Zi_Odys,Kefine_Delci,Kiwi_Aether) The pros/cons listed match well with my Odyssey experience. Detail and separation gets better with more well tuned drivers so the Odyssey will cover some of those cons for twice the price.
r/iems • Next step from Kiwi Ear Aethers ->Odyssey if you want the vocals more forward and bass isn’t as important. Tea Pros for stage, bass texture, and clarity. I lean toward relaxed vocals, so the Tea Pros win out for me, both are good sets though.
r/iems • Talk me out/in of Mangird tea pros ->So I just got the MEST MK2s last week, and they have become my favorite musical set almost instantly. It’s just so pleasing and unique it’s hard to describe. I have also messed with Letshuoer S08s, Simgot SM4, Ziigaat Odyssey, Kiwi Ears Canta (least favorite so far), Letshuoer DX4. Tea Pros are where it’s at for value/performance for me. Odyssey might be better value overall but its lack of stage/space makes me appreciate the MEST/Tea Pro more.
r/iems • Talk me out/in of Mangird tea pros ->Anything JM-1 Tuned would be where I would look, they are generally mid bass heavy and darker on the treble side. As far as the list you have, the Simgot SuperMix4's are pretty bright so not likely what you are looking for. If you can find the Ziigaat Odyssey in your price range I would consider those as well. The Volume S for <$200 seems like a no brainer as that is like $100 less than MSRP. [https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=Odyssey,Volume\_S\_Low\_S1,Pure\_(Narrow),Explorer,S12\_Pro](https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=Odyssey,Volume_S_Low_S1,Pure_(Narrow),Explorer,S12_Pro) Looking at the chart you are probably sensitive to that 6-8k region which I usually PEQ down until it is tolerable if a set is too piercing for me. Sibiliance is an instant don't like in that region.
r/iems • Pls recommend an iem for someone who absolutely hates the lethshuor s12 pro. ->No points to disagree here just looking to understand more, I was under the impression that different implementations and housing did have some meaningful difference to things like slam/bleed for example. Personally, I don’t see that too much in FR graphs but it might just be me being inexperienced. The Odyssey, Tea Pro, SuperMix 4 sets are the most obvious examples I can think of. EQing all of them to similar bass/mid bass gets quite different results on similar songs. During critical listening I would be shocked if someone said those all that the same features/“quality” despite all of them having DD focused low ends.
r/iems • Unpopular opinion: IEMs don't need that much bass ->No, to some point its just preference. I recently got UM MEST MK2, Im liking it of course. But compared to my Ziigaat Odyssey? Only slightly better, why? Because I like the Odyssey overall tonality.
r/iems • I'm a beginner, how can a $500/1000+ dollar IEM be better then a $70-200 one? ->I'm actually most interested in the ZiiGaat Horizon! I have a ZiiGaat Odyssey and think it's hard to top in its price range.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->they are all very good. but none of their sets are really memorable. too much of the same with different tune. and they all look pretty much the same. and their accessories are the weakest. og odysseys still seem like something special, but other than that, none really stand out.
r/iems • Ziigaat's First Tribid: The Horizon ->Try something like ziigaat odyssey / odyssey 2...its very engaging to me since i love vocal clarity
r/iems • Top-tier IEM similar to Variations with more voc. clarity? ->I would suggest you try to find the Xenns Tea Pro on sale, I just bought it for $309 with a coupon. If you don't want to wait for a sale I recommend the Ziigaat Estrella either of these sets will work wonders with Hip-hop. I have seen the Ziigaat Odyssey recommended in this post and while I consider the best IEM at its price, I personally don't believe it's the best for Hip-hop, but that's just my opinion.
r/iems • Pls recommend me an IEM under $300 for hip hop, rock and metal ->The Ziigaat Odyssey, in IMHO is the best on your list although I haven't heard the Tanchjim I'm sure it is not in the same league as the Odyssey. I do own the others except for the Nova, but I have listened to it before.
r/iems • IEM recommendations around 200 € ->I'm sorry but I have not heard the Zero Reds, I personally haven't had a problem with the Odysseys fit. It seems to be very close in size to the KE4. I just love the Odyssey's tuning which is close to the KE4 but with much smoother treble.
r/iems • IEM recommendations around 200 € ->For a budget set I recommend the ND Planet, it has a really good driver, sound good out of the box and handles EQ very well. Mid-fi either the Ziigaat Odyssey for a new Meta tuning or the Kiwi Ears Punch for a bassier set. For TOTL I would suggest either the Dunu Glacier or the Canpur CP622B
r/iems • What’s an IEM you’d tell 99% of people to blind buy? ->I do own all three of these IEMs and as far as I'm concerned the Odyssey is the best of the bunch, but it is twice the price of the other two.
r/iems • Best Scaling/High Volume Sets Under $300? ->Yes, I find the Odyssey laid back (Meta tuning) back with better bass and smoother treble.
r/iems • Best Scaling/High Volume Sets Under $300? ->I would suggest you check out the Ziigaat Odyssey, it’s my favorite at this price point and is currently on sale at Aliexpress. The tuning is neutral with a bass boost and should fit your genre of music well. The only downside is that the accessories are not as good as the competition’s.
r/iems • New to IEMS help me decide on the best pair under $200 ->Ziigaat Odyssey are best for hard rock and metal!
r/iems • What IEM do you recommend for metal and its subgenres? ->Ziigaat Odyssey is what you need!
r/iems • Returning to this hobby after ~20 Years, Need recommendations for a neutral iem with good detail/ separation/ imaging, 300$ ->I ve received these iem some days ago, I like it but I don't know if they worth the cost of about 230€, I ve bought on Amazon so they are a bit more expensive but I can return them. They are a step above the simgot ew200 for sure, but these have cost me about 20€. I m not an expert in iem cause I mainly use headphones but maybe the deminishing return law is more evident with iem than headphones
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->Well, I ve bought also the tanchjim origin for about 180€, always on Amazon, they feel more premium, comfy and sturdier than the odyssey but the ziigaat seems to have a more engaging sound. Maybe they have a too different signature, initially I wanted to keep one but probably I ll return both, maybe the ew200 is enough for me or simply I prefer the headphones. Anyway the iem are a must when the climate became warmer, especially here in Italy, rarely I use headphones during the summer
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->I haven't tried the three iem that you mentioned; I recommend the Kiwi ears ke4, if you like a warm/ relaxing sound and prefer a good timbre to technicals, these iem are great. If you can spend a bit more, prefer a more engaging, but imho a bit too bright, v shape signature, the ziigaat odyssey. I have tried both and I prefer the ke4, still have these, but could be boring for some people
r/iems • For under 200$, what should I get as the first IEM? ->Nice review. It was supposed to be about Top Pro and mainly is however you praise Odyssey so much :) I also own Odyssey's and love them, more than Tea Pro or Hype 4. I think they punch above their price tag significantly. Maybe one day I'll try Top Pro. Hope Amazon will have those (try & return).
r/iems • Xenns Top Pro review after one month ->The Odyssey is great! Good choice! And an apple dongle is enough.
r/iems • First pair of IEM's, Ziigaat Odyssey. Thank you for all your recommendations! ->I have the Origin and the Odyssey. The Odyssey is AMAZING for the price. Nothing comes close. But the Origin is another level.
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->I was about to say the same thing! Odyssey is amazing.
r/iems • What are you favourite IEMs Under $300? ->My favorite going up in price is the Xenns Tea Pro. Going down in price, the Ziigaat Odyssey. Seriously, though - if you already like the Davinci, keep them and enjoy. "Better" is far different from saying that the Davinci sounds bad or something. It sounds good!
r/iems • Just bought the Dunu Davinci. Did I make the wrong choice? ->Sounds like you enjoy a detailed yet smooth experience... I would watch this video by Jay, I trust his ears very much. https://youtu.be/XclO362Ll_U?si=_ZiYp5rR-UoYzABQ I think you would enjoy Aful Explorer $95, Ziigaat Odyssey $230 or Simgot EW300 $70. They are very smooth but quite airy and with a good healthy bass foundation. It's very unlikely they should tire your ears too. The first two are actually tuned to be listened to at high volume. The Odyssey is definitely the best out of those three, which makes sense given the price.
r/iems • How much do I need to spend so my iem doesn't sound cheap? ->Quite note, most of the recommendations and products talked here in this subreddit are for audiophiles (people who use IEMs to listen to music casually as a hobby). I'm of the opinion that most audiophile IEMs can still work fine for live music performance (I use the ZiiGaat Odyssey in my band), but anecdotally the most common brand of IEMs I see for actually monitoring live music are Shure, usually the Shure SE215
r/iems • Best IEMs under 500USD for singers ->Chiming in on this fact too, I found that tips make a huge difference on this set. If I'm doing low-med volume, I tend to go for the S&S, and if I'm listening louder, I switch to Sony 's hybrids otherwise the bass gets overwhelming. But yes, it's a very safe set, you can listen for hours and not get fatigued.
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->I'm *not* writing this to be negative or anything, but I want to mention something about the odyssey: they sound very different at low to moderate volume. I added them to my rotation of EA1000 and Tea Pro and they sounded incredibly dull and "not hi-fi" compared to both. As I researched more, I read of people mentioning they sound their best at higher volumes. That's all I wanted to say, given the current hype. After I week, I sold them. Just felt boring (once again, at mid volume, coming from Ea1000 and Tea Pro). Comfort was spot-on.
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->7hz zero 2 if u like bass moondrop chu2 if u like balanced going mid range iem go for crinear daybreak or ziigaat odyssey for highend go for mega5est based on this list nad personal experience [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1lvI0ucbqjPXZLQKzqdycBD9ZKBuMSdd0e\_bPzhJpJKo/htmlview#gid=2029568238](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1lvI0ucbqjPXZLQKzqdycBD9ZKBuMSdd0e_bPzhJpJKo/htmlview#gid=2029568238)
r/ipod • IEM recommendations? ->Ziigaat Odyssey is the perfect set for me at the volume I listen to, music genres I listen to and the games I play. I had the Blessing 2s before and while they are really good I found them a lil too spicy and sharp.
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->Alright I've decided to write this review after one month of use since there are not many of this IEM yet. I'll try to keep this as short as I can but it is my first review of an IEM (fairly new to this hobby) so please bear with me. I am a classically trained pianist and bit of a metalhead too. I think I have reasonably good ears. What I have tried so far (other than wireless earbuds): 7hz Timeless 2, Softear Volume S (returned them both), Ziigaat Odyssey (kept them). So please consider that I haven't tried any of the really high end stuff yet, like Thieaudio Monarch, Subtonic Storm etc.. Sources: Zenfone 10, Hiby R4 Eva, FiiO BTR17 (what I use on a daily basis). I didn't have un unlimited budget therefore I did a lot of research in order to get a good all-rounder and potentially endgame. I bought the Xenns Top Pro on a Linsoul discount (pre-order) for 350 Euros (around 400 USD). Standard prize is 500 USD. They are very good, although not perfect. First the not so good: \- The treble could be better. It's not that it's bad, in fact it is very detailed, but there's definitely some metallic quality to it (BA timbre?). In fact, I still I find the cymbals a bit unnatural depending on the track. I reckon I am a bit treble sensitive but I do enjoy details in the highs. \- They lack a bit in the mids/mid bass (which in comparison is excellent in the Odysseys) and sound a bit thin, but you can largely improve that using the Ducbloke PEQ with Poweramp (find him on youtube, subscribe to his channel and he'll send you the PEQ on a text file). This PEQ (you can also do it by yourself obviously) makes the TOP PROs sound fuller. The sub bass which is already good now sounds amazing and the mid bass comes out nicely too. The high treble now is less piercing. Again, this PEQ improve significantly how these sound to my ears even though you'll hear its effect on some genres more than others. I'll admit that I have considered returned the Top Pros at some point because of the treble, but my ears have kind of adapted now, so my advice is don't be too hasty, give them some time. Also, in this hobby, if you don't want to spend millions, I think you'll have to accept a compromise somewhere. That's pretty much it for the not so good honestly. Now the good: \- Great clarity and resolution. Separation between instruments is also amazing. \- Imaging (I guess what they call the spatial location of instruments) and soundstage are quite astounding too. \- Excellent bass/sub bass (even though I am not a bass head). \- Can handle very busy tracks with great detail. \- Very comfortable to my ears. I can almost sleep with them. They are light and not too big even though they are packed with drivers. I think they look great too if you don't mind something a bit flashy. \- Overall great price/quality ratio. I can see why people say they punch way above their weight, especially in technicalities. \- Cable is fine. For tips I am using Spinfit W1 at the moment but the stock tips are ok too. There are 3 kinds but I barely noticed a difference between them. I just ordered Divinus Velvet regular (I have been told that the wide bore kills the bass). If you want a more organic sound experience, I'd maybe go for the Odysseys, but if you are into a more analytical approach, these are great. Also, the Odysseys are better for lead distorted guitars and vocals, but I don't think it's a deficiency of the Top Pros, it's just something which the Odysseys do really well. While with the Odysseys I tend to appreciate more the overall experience of what I am listening to, with the Top Pros I appreciate the superior clarity and find myself focusing on a particular layer/instrument at a time. By the way, Odysseys have some weirdly spicy treble too, if you want a more relaxed IEM the Ziigaat LUNA could be the way to go. (haven't tried them personally though) In conclusion, if you look for a good all rounder (potentially endgame?) with great technicalities, and don't mind a spicy and slightly metallic treble (especially with cymbals), these are great. If you are looking for a smoother listening experience and don't mind sacrificing a bit of clarity, I'd say you'll find better options elsewhere. Recommended for: EDM, JAZZ, CLASSICAL, (ROCK/METAL?) or any genre with great complexity and multiple sound layers. Probably not the best for vocal centric music and bright leaning recordings. Other IEMs which I'd be very curious to try in this price range: Crinacle Dusk and Mega5EST. Sound taste is subjective, but I'll answer questions if you have any... Bye!
r/iems • Xenns Top Pro review after one month ->Thank you! I'll try to be more detailed. I find easier to talk about them while comparing them to the Top Pros. Anyway: They are very good for a 200$ set. Clarity, separation, resolution and soundstage are obviously not on par with the Top Pro's. BUT on the other side you get a fuller sound (note weight is thicker) which is in my opinion more organic, meaning that while with the Top Pros you get sometimes a "disjointed" sound experience since everything is so separated and clear, with the Odysseys you get a "wall of sound" which makes the listening experience more immersive and musical and less analytical. Sub bass is definitely more present on the Top Pros, but in the Odysseys the mids really shine. It is not that the Odysseys lack bass, it just doesn't go as deep as the Top Pro's. The Top Pros have a more V shaped tuning, meaning that you hear very well the extremes (therefore you feel that the soundstage is wider) and some frequencies in the mids are more recessed. As I said, Odysseys are awesome for vocals and distorted guitars if you are into that. In comparison the vocals in the Top Pros are less forward, and the distorted guitars are not as full and "raw". Odysseys are better than Volume S imo (320$!), way more engaging and fun. The Timeless 2 may have better clarity and resolution but sound way thinner and almost dry (planar timbre). If I have to find a weakness in the Odysseys is the treble, which is a bit too spicy for my taste while not as detailed as the Top Pro's. You feel that in snare drums and cymbals, which in particular don't sound very realistic to me. Comfort and fit: no problems there. I actually used them a couple of times during training. Accessories are pretty basic. Cable is thin and feels kind of flimsy. Personally I upgraded it to Tripowin Amber which has the 4.4 connection too. Tips and carrying case are only ok. Other than that, I feel that the cohesive and balanced tuning of the Odysseys is the highlight of this IEM. In that regard, I think they are better than lots of more expensive sets. They do very well with any genre. Technically speaking they are also good for a 200$ IEM, they simply cannot compete in this aspect with sets that have way more drivers. In fact, for being just a 1DD+3BA set, they are quite impressive. Some reviewers say that while the Odysseys do everything good they don't do anything exceptionally, and I get their point. To me the Top Pros offer a more interesting listening experience (especially after EQing) therefore I don't use the Odysseys as much anymore, but again, for 200$ (and maybe less), they really are a great all rounder and among the very best in this price bracket.
r/iems • Xenns Top Pro review after one month ->Have had mine about a week now and I'm in love. It's just what I wanted for an upgrade from my CCA Rhapsody's.
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->The Odyssey is amazing. Love it too, also my end game. Good choice.
r/iems • The ZiiGaat Odyssey is my endgame. Selling my XENSS Tea Pro ->Lmao do we have the exact same setup? * Ziigaat Odyssey * Openheart cable * Tangzu sancai wide bore tips https://preview.redd.it/6lqd21trflte1.jpeg?width=3060&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eeea1bb2be71baa7002f2fe55c85e9366e714d9c
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->I like the ZiiGaat Odyssey for how smooth it sounded when i first tried it! ♥️
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->I've had them for 3 days. I first bought the Simgot Supermix 4, which I returned the next day. Everything sounded very artificial, I didn't like the tone at all, the notes lacked weight and it was too bright. I read that it could be a problem with the power supply but I tried them on a Fiio K5 Pro Ess and on a Kiwi Ears Allegro Mini dac dongle and the result was equally disappointing in both cases. That's why I ordered these Odyssey and the truth is that I've been very impressed with the difference. They're exciting without losing that natural tone that I love. The sound stage, to me personally, seemed very good and the instrumental separation and the image were a delight, I agree with you that it's the best thing about the headset. I also have other headphones like the Sennheiser HD650 and Technics Az100 (for wireless they are amazing), but the Odyssey, although not as natural as the Senns, are more fun without losing as much naturalness and offering a stage and image that is really surprising for an IEM. They cost me €199 and taking into account that the Supermix 4 cost me €174, I think it is a very good quality-price ratio.
r/iems • Just got my Ziigaat Odyssey!! ->I would choose the ZiiGaat Odyssey or the Kiwi Ears KE4. I have the Odyssey and I find them very comfortable. Try comparing the IEM' graphs and you'll see which one best suits what you're looking for.
r/iems • IEM recommendations around 200 € ->>But as soon as you get in range of the price of the Fiio FT1, I haven't heard an iem that can compete with it for under $500. Full disclaimer, I love and recommend the FT1s often. I agree they're one of the best budget headphones the hobby has ever seen and it's unlikely to be unseated for a very long time. I've posted this [image](https://imgur.com/a/bokeh-ft1-duGXiR5) a few times, because I've often had to back up the claim that I'm running the FT1 alongside much more expensive closed back sets, like the ZMF Bokeh, Focal Radiance and Azurys, etc. I've even started recommending it as a budget production/mixing headphone over options like the MDR-M1. The FT1 takes EQ surprisingly well and makes a great budget option for beginning engineers. But, I would argue the premise that IEMs provide better bang for your buck hasn't changed. The FT1 has subverted expectations where the headphone market is concerned, but it hasn't disrupted the budget IEM segment, not by a long shot. The Letshuoer S08, for instance, doesn't just compete with but outperforms the FT1; it presents the same neutral/slightly warm-tilted tuning, but with superior technical performance and much more overhead for EQ. The Simgot EM6L, not as popular now as its been outshined by recency bias, is still a phenomenal value for its price. And IEMs in a similar price range to the FT1, like the Meze Alba, Performer 5+2, or Ziigaat Odyssey, are more competent than the FT1 out of the box and align well with the "all 'rounder" tuning that has made the FT1 so popular. And under $500? The recent Xenns Top Pro is $499, and walks circles around the FT1, being one of the best midfi IEMs the market has seen in years and easily Xenns best release, competing with some of my kilobuck sets, both in tuning and technical performance. The FT1 is a fantastic budget headphone, without question. It has disrupted the budget market and is the easy recommendation for someone looking to spend $300 or less for an over ear set. However, I'd still recommend several IEMs over the FT1 if format didn't matter and someone was looking to get the best bang for their buck.
r/headphones • The Fiio FT1 Changes How I Think about IEM's ->Other suggestions based on your frequency preference. Prices listed are for new, so should be cheaper used: Aful Explorer (really great for the $100ish price) Letshouer S08 ($89) I would recommend spending a tiny bit more and get: Zigaat Odyssey ($199) FatFreq Deuce ($239 - amazing balanced bass set) Since you love bass I think you'd be happiest with the Aful Explorer or FatFreq Deuce. These sets also have darker treble for treble sensitive listeners (like me). I'd say the Explorers have the warmest treble, but is very smooth. The Deuce has great balance between bass and treble, doesn't feel like the bass muddies the vocals. I have all the above sets and they are all great choices.
r/iems • Help me pick IEMs (around 100-150$ used) ->Thanks for the honest review. I ended up returning mine to Amazon, they just didn't do anything special for me and I found I just wasn't wanting to listen to them over cheaper IEMs like the Ziigaat Odyssey and Aful P5+2 or my Kiwi Ears Punch
r/iems • ThieAudio Hype4 review ->Probably the ZiiGaat Odyssey from the ones I tried. In actuality, my favorite is my Tea Pro which I got used for under 300 in mint condition
r/iems • What are you favourite IEMs Under $300? ->If only headphones it's easy: Arya Organic > FiiO FT1 >>> Sennheiser HD6XX If IEMs count, it's a bit harder, I would say: ThieAudio Origin > Arya Organic = ThieAudio Hype 4 > Ziigaat Odyssey > FiiO FT1 > Aful Explorer > Simgot SuperMix4 > Sennheiser HD6XX
r/headphones • Rank your headphones (2025 edition) ->I love my Ziggat Odyssey. Maybe you got a faulty pair or a bad seal
r/iems • I'm so disappointed with Ziigaat Odyssey ->I ended up buying the Ziigaat Odyssey 😁
r/iems • IEM recommendations around 200 € ->I really love them so far and the tuning is exactly what I was looking for but they showed me that I am not a diehard audiophile. In the future I will probably stick to 50-100 € IEMs. 😅
r/iems • IEM recommendations around 200 € ->I am now the proud owner of the Ziigaat Odyssey 😁
r/iems • IEM recommendations around 200 € ->Yesterday my Ziigaat Odyssey arrived too. They sound phenomenal but I wouldn't recommend them to non audiophiles. In my opinion, the improvement of 50-100 € IEMs to the Odyssey (and probably other IEMs in the price range) is too small for the price difference. This is obviously a pure subjective opinion and I am an obsessive stingy person. That being said, I love them so far but I'm not nearly done testing.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Odyssey - Quick Review (tldr: 220$ Endgame) ->I just got my Odyssey a few days ago and honestly can’t put them down. I love the bass impact without muddying anything else. I am fairly sensitive to upper mids/treble and these don’t fatigue me at all. Highly recommend. Very fun to listen to. I don’t have any experience with the Volume S or Pilgrim to compare to though
r/iems • Upgrading from Truthear x Crinacle ZERO – ZiiGaat Odyssey vs. Elysian Pilgrim? ->I like them too. I found the Ziigaat Odyssey to be a good upgrade. Good amount of bass, but also keeps the details of the rest of the music even on busy tracks.
r/iems • I like the QKZ x HBB - am I a pleb? ->The Ziigaat Arcadia is currently on sale around $170. Proper bass head item, great mids & smooth (if somewhat recessed) treblif you want more airy sparkle in the highs then the Ziigaat Odyssey/Kiwi Ears KE4/Aful Performer 5, all are around $180-200 on sale right now.
r/iems • Bass heavy iems with good image separation ->Like most folks here, the Odyssey and the Horizon is what I would say that I prefer from Ziigaat. I like the continued use of knowles BA drivers in a lot of these sets. I really liked them in the Arcadia.
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->This isn’t going to be a technical breakdown talking about graphs or fancy terminology. I don’t fully understand those yet (though I can piece some things together). Instead, this is just a random write-down and review from someone who enjoys music, and appreciates the experience, and wants to share my impressions that might help others starting out. It’s a long one, since I’ve gone through a LOT of IEMs in a short time. Firstly, I listen to all sorts of music. Classic, rap, rock, punk, pop but mostly vocal ballads and pop. I can probably also say I'm not "treble sensitive" (never tested whether I am or not) but as long as the IEM fit comfortably, didn't have a problem with fatigue. For reference, I’m using a JDS Atom 2 stack. Whether that matters much, you can decide for yourself. I started with a HyperX Cloud headset for gaming and music. Then I bought into the open-back headphone hype and got a Sennheiser HD6XX. Loved the sound, but big-head problems made them super uncomfortable after a while. That’s when I decided to try IEMs. My first real IEM was the Oriolus Finschi. Bought it on a whim, no research. Turned out great: comfy, clear vocals, decent instrument separation, and even worked well for tactical FPS games. I used them for years until the plastic wrapping on the shell started peeling. And so my budget IEM collection starts. Also if you're asking why buy so many, I just have a bad habit of making a collection. Now a quick review of these for anyone who also don't understand the graphs and want a general idea. Budget IEMs I’ve tried (ranked best to worst for me). **Kefine Delci AE:** These became my favorite as they had clear vocals and instruments with good separation and resolution, similar to the Oriolus Finschi but just a bit more lively. They sounded slightly brighter/livelier than neutral (I’ll put the Finschi and Hexa as the neutral-sounding baseline). These were fun and enjoyable—everything sounded clear and lively without being piercing. Even the bass was clear and sharp, not boomy, which I liked. **Letshouer S08:** This was my favorite until the Delci AE arrived. They were just pleasing to listen to—fun but also relaxing. Definitely a step down in clarity from the Delci AE, and probably less clear than the Simgot EA500LM, but still more enjoyable to listen to than the EA500LM. The bass wasn’t too much either; it was clear and sharp. It felt *fast*—like you could feel that it came out quickly and clearly. I’m guessing that’s the “speed of planar” people keep talking about? **Aful Explorer:** This one I didn’t like much stock, but once I applied EQ through Peace, they got significantly better. Stock, they were too dark and heavy sounding—everything was a bit muffled and muddy sounding. After EQ, they definitely improved. They were still dark sounding, but less so. Darker than the S08, but brightened enough for me to enjoy them. Vocals still felt clear, just not as clear as the Delci AE, maybe about the same as the S08. The Explorer had more of a boomy bass compared to the sharp, clear bass of the IEMs mentioned above. **Simgot EA500LM:** These had very clear vocals, which made me enjoy them for vocal ballads and pop tracks. But the background instruments weren’t as clear or well separated, and the soundstage seemed small and recessed compared to the vocals. This made vocals stand out but instruments felt like they all came from the same area, which wasn’t great for classical music. These probably had the most bass out of all the budget IEMs I got. It was boomy—the opposite of the sharp bass of the Delci AE and S08. With the Delci AE and S08 I could hear when the bass started and stopped, but here it just boomed and sort of rolled off instead of “stopping.” **Truthear Hexa:** Mediocre for me—nothing really stood out. It had clear vocals, instruments, and bass, but not to the point that it was clearer than the IEMs above. Very neutral and "boring". **Dunu Kima 2:** These had really good vocals, probably on par with the Delci AE. However, I found the background instruments very recessed, even more so than the EA500LM, making them unclear. The difference between forward, clear vocals and recessed background instruments felt weird to me. Otherwise, I think I would have really liked these—especially since this IEM comes with the best accessories by far. It’s like Dunu added the Kima 2 IEMs to their accessory set, instead of the other way around. **Letshouer S12 Pro:** Personally, I don’t understand the hype behind these. They sounded a bit unnatural and artificial—not relaxing or fun for me. They were bright, and I couldn’t EQ them properly. Toning down the brightness made them muddy. They were decent in clarity and had sharp, fast bass, but the overall tonality was just too bright and artificial for me. Still, I would pick these over the next two, just because they were clearer in both vocals and instruments which I value highly. **Kefine Klean:** These were okay, just average all around. Similar to the Truthear Hexa, but toned down evenly in all categories. Average clarity, separation, bass. Nothing wowed me, and they were a bit boring. Personally, I’d save up for the Delci AE or S08. **Simgot EW300:** Very slightly less clarity than the Klean, but a bit more bass and a livelier sound signature. If you listen to more rock or EDM, you would probably enjoy the EW300 more than the Klean. Just to quickly add: I also got the Moondrop Starfield 1 when they were popular back then, but they were heavy, uncomfortable, and mediocre. I didn’t use them for long and honestly can’t remember them well enough to describe beyond that. Currently, I’ve upgraded to mid-level IEMs and rotate between the Aful Explorer 5+2, Kiwi Ears Astral, Aether, and Ziigaat Odyssey. I found that the mid-level IEMs are definitely better than all the entry-level ones—I can clearly hear a difference when swapping back to the Delci AE or S08 in terms of clarity, resolution, and soundstage. However, the upgrade isn’t *huge*, so whether that’s worth the extra price depends on you. Maybe if people enjoyed reading this long post, I can do another crappy review for the mid-level IEMs I’ve collected.
r/iems • My IEM journey and quick subjective reviews of the entry level IEMs I have purchased so far. ->From what I have, the Kiwi Ears Astral. However, the Performer 5+2 is also amazing especially considering its cheaper as well. I would take 5+2 over Odyssey and over Luna (this one just because of price). Odyssey for general overall usage over Luna as well.
r/iems • My IEM journey and quick subjective reviews of the entry level IEMs I have purchased so far. ->Ahhh Ziigaat Odyssey enjoyer here!! I'm most interested in the Arcanis and the Luna have definitely peaked my interest. Thank you for the oppotunity, whoever wins, I hope they enjoy the set to its fullest!
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->I have two purple IEMs- QOA Adonis New and Ziigaat Odyssey. Recommend both.
r/iems • Good Purple IEMS? ->Thank you for the list. I agree the Explorer was an eye-opening experience for me in finding my preference. I've tried the Odyssey and came to the conclusion that it's expensive side grade at best. Initially it seems to be superior but as you listen to it more the bass feels very popped up, plasticky with some of the instruments and only marginal improvements in technicalities. It's a good IEM and I know a lot of people like it, I just think the asking price doesn't make sense. How's the fit Moonlight compared to the Explorer?
r/iems • Finally, Endgame — My IEM Journey and Recommendations ->Really good review! Always helpful having a wider range of views on any set :) Mine got dispatched today, so hopefully can get a review up in the next couple of weeks. I also own the Odyssey’s and have slowly grown to appreciate them more but the Tea Pro’s are way more balanced for my taste and feel like the music can ‘breathe’. Imaging, layering and separation depth is more impressive on these vs Odyssey imo, as the tonality of instruments and vocals feels more distinctive. They’re warm leaning with impactful sub/mid bass & a more relaxed but still detailed treble. Maybe these might’ve been the better option for you (or even the NiceHCK Rockies) if you found the Top’s mid bass lacking in quantity and the treble a bit too prominent? Guess PEQ can resolve a lot of minor issues though! Despite being an all BA set, heard good things about Luna too. What didn’t you like with the Volume S btw? Heard they were an incredible vocal set. Edit: if the lower treble is the issue with the Top Pro’s, using wide bore tips will dampen and reduce anything along the length mode then move the peak along, so the upper treble will be more pronounced instead.
r/iems • Xenns Top Pro review after one month ->Diminishing Returns hits faster with iems in gaming. But best Iems I have tried in the $125-175 would be the Kiwi Ears Aether or if you're comfortable with using AliExpress you could get Ziigaat Odyssey for $160. The KZ ZS10 Pro is not really that good, plus I wouldn't recommend KZ as they provide a really cheap cable and no accessories for the same price you could get something quality like the Kefine Klean or even a Kefine Delci AE.
r/iems • Looking for IEM recommendations for gaming purposes. Anything in the $125-$175 range worth considering? ->This IEM, was just not for me. I tried and tried but I don't lisen to alot of kpop to justify the forwarded vocal and became very fatiguing. It's good some ppl like it. 👍🏻.
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->They are both excellent. I own both and spent some time A/B’ing them last night. The Odyssey has stronger bass and a bit more bite in the treble. For me, its imaging is subjectively slightly more holographic. I prefer the Odyssey’s impactful tuning for on the go type listening, whereas the Volume S is more relaxing and naturalistic.
r/iems • Upgrading from Truthear x Crinacle ZERO – ZiiGaat Odyssey vs. Elysian Pilgrim? ->You could get the Ziigaat Odyssey on a sale, I really like the bass for EDM and pretty much everything else.
r/iems • For under 200$, what should I get as the first IEM? ->I personally love the ZiiGaat Odyssey!
r/iems • ZiiGaat Horizon GIVEAWAY!! Enter now from 10/6 to 10/12!! ->If you’re not too convinced with Ziigaat (even though I’d highly recommend the Odyssey, they are great for vocals; but that might not necessarily what you’re looking for) then the Performer 5+2 is a very good option. I have the Odyssey, Performer 5+2 and the Deuce. I really love the Deuce, but that’s just for listening to music, not gaming. Your instinct might be right where the huge bass impact might be over shadowing the micro details a bit. For detail retrieval, the Performer is a solid choice! They are quite balanced (so don’t expect a big bass impact, but I guess you weren’t), but I’d recommend this set any day!
r/iems • $200-$300 iems? Too many options ->So I listened to the song (actually enjoyed that a lot!) and with the Odyssey the drums “disappear” into the mix a bit more than with the 5+2. With the 5+2 you can hear the different instruments better (better separation) and the Odyssey makes it sound a bit more “musical” (more coherent); I hope this explanation makes sense!
r/iems • $200-$300 iems? Too many options ->Ziigaat odessey and UM Mest mkii made me believe in IEMs again. Odessey is extremely fun while Mest is an experience.
r/iems • I’m NOT looking for a good budget IEM. ->I have both the odyssey and dosinco, and I much prefer the dosinco as my daily driver.
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->It's noticeably better, at least more impactful and doesn't bleed a whole lot into the mids. When paired to an amp, it's very very good. I did get the dosincos first, so the odyssey was a bit of a disappointment when it came to the bass quality. I'd say it's more neutral sounding, and the dosincos are exciting with a not-quite v shaped tune. They both do treble really well, which I think shines more on the dosinco when you think about how much bass it can produce. Hope that made sense lol.
r/iems • Enter ZiiGaat Odyssey -- no cap. they slap. ->I had Sennheiser HD 660s and now Focal Azurys, went into iems early last year. Man I have a 70$ Sivga Que that has a beryllium coated driver and is all metal/wood built iem that is better tuned than the Focal… and imho 90% of it’s technical ability. I also have other sets but my flagship is ISN EBC80 with 2 Dynamic drivers for bass, 2 balanced armatures for mids, 2 electrostatic drivers for highs and 2 full range bone conduction drivers. It is 699$ though, but it smokes all other headphones I have tried in my life. To be honest though, the best price/performance in lies in the 250-350$ range. To get a noticeable improvement you have to spend more and more and the improvement gets less and less. I currently ordered Ziigaat odyssey and that may be the nee ~200$ benchmark. On the 350$ I swear by ISN H60. As for planar iem try the new Artti t10 pro.
r/iems • Are IEMs Really That Much Better, or Just an Audiophile Flex? ->Yeah the Odyssey is very nice, but I wish it was a 4BA set, would not have wished for more then. It has a very nice and distinct tuning, but is not up there with the „big boys” with 4+ BA setups with it’s technicals.
r/iems • ziigaat x fresh reviews arete - amazing ->Right? Ziigaat should really up their game. Like i said earlier I have 70!$ iem Sivga Que with MUCH nicer cable and accessories, and more of those. And Sivga is not super small brand either, So if they can do it so can Ziigaat And I agree that Odyssey is a very nice set, it’s tuning is quite unique, although aful explorer sounds somewhat similar. When I want it to feel more like „normal” iems I just eq. A small 1.5-1.7 dB peak from 2,5-4k to boost the pinna gain region.
r/iems • ziigaat x fresh reviews arete - amazing ->Thanks for your honest and detailed review. I think that budget oriented folks will/should be happy with yet another solid option. I’m personally waiting on Truthear for them to flex and create something that will be their flagship and not harman. But since the „new meta” is such an influence that should happen eventually. I currently veeeery much enjoy Ziigaat Odyssey and would like something like that but, „better”.
r/iems • The Truthear X Crinacle Zero Blue 2- An Unboxing and Review ->Then look into ISN and Penon, also Ziigaat Odyssey. Ziigaat Odyssey is that a bit better explorer, I love that thing and currently it’s my nr 1 most listened to iem. ISN H60 would be a bit more spicy, a bit more vocal forward, with better technicals and better bass. I used to own it and it is an amazing iem, although it has a large nozzle. I sold it only to buy their flagship the ISN EBC80. And tbh I miss the H60 as it had a different tuning, closer to odyssey. Old Penon Globe used to be this low pinna gain and bass tilt warm iem. Penon ( They Own ISN it’s the sister brand ) did this “meta” mids long before they were called meta. Not all of their iems are like that, you’d need to look them up in squiglink, and look for the older ones second hand as for whatever reason they do not come down in price.
r/iems • My best and worst purchase next to eachother ->You may be surprised but I would suggest going down in price, and trying Ziigaat Odyssey. It has an amazingly good and addictive tuning, that You may like more than the Tea. I have one 700$ set and listen to the Odyssey more.
r/iems • Better iems than Xenns Mangird Tea Pro? ->I have the Delci AE and there is something wrong with this iem. i cannot describe it but it is just off for me. And is literally first time something was too small. I had to wear the L sized tips for it to stay in place. I have had ISN H60 in the 350$ range and I can say the jump there is quite substantial. But after that, You have to spend 600-700-1000$ to hear any significant upgrade and even then it often comes down to tuning preference. Now, that being said I have a solution for you. Instead of spending on tea pro, get Yourself Ziigaat Odyssey. Trust me mate it is SOOO GOOD. I have a 700$ est and bone conduction hybrid set, and despite it being technically better in every way, the odyssey is tuned so well and it’s so addictive, that I listen to it more often. You won’t regret. And it’s around 200$. Just get yourself a nicer cable and you are all set. ~130$ saved
r/iems • Just how much better would the audio quality be if I upgrade from a ~$80 to $350? ->Well t10 is one of the best values in audio. So no wonder. I wanted to buy the Aerher as it was on amazon for 120$. But I went to linsoult YT channel to the live section, to listen to the demo ( those ladies often do a lousy job, but it has to do ) and tbh was not jmpressed with it’s tonality. I prefer more lush sound. Try ziigaat Odyssey. It’s great :)
r/iems • Just how much better would the audio quality be if I upgrade from a ~$80 to $350? ->If You like the explorer, then Ziigaat Odyssey would charm your ears. It’s the explorer but “better” more sculpted. With better detail and air. Still accessible, fun, and addictive.
r/iems • Just how much better would the audio quality be if I upgrade from a ~$80 to $350? ->I’d pick Ziigaat Odyssey in that price range, they were my second most listened to and 2nd favourite iem until recently, being behind my ISN EBC80, now they have taken the 3rd place rigjt after Xenns TOP PRO. Seriously, Odyssey can be a budget end game for many, great tuning with enough bass and sparkle to cater to most people out there.
r/iems • best 100-200$ iems ->Dusk is a very good choice. If you would like the EST treble, then Hisenior Mega5est. I have the Xenns Top Pro but they are a bit thin for rock/metal in the lower mids, will geet Ziigaat Luna in a day or two, they migjt be better for that. I too listen to Bring me the Horizon from time to time, so I might just as well report back to you once the Luna is here. :) A very good and not that expensive iem for your preference is the Ziigaat Odyssey, a true gem in the price range.
r/iems • Good one-and-done purchase? Do they exist? ->Well I kind of came to a similar conclusion but after owning and enjoying the Ziigaat Odyssey, I wish I tried the explorer first but it is what it is. Glenn Gane has the Moonlight sound demos on YT and I was thinking that it can be an endgame relaxing smooth set and then found this post. We often find eachother here on reddit, so Hi again! My current end game is the ISN EBC 80 and it is a fantastic set, but I cannot stop listening to the Odyssey, maybe the Moonlight would make more sense to me as well… and they are roughly the same price Oh and regarding the dacs. I was curious about the DC elite and I also work on a mac, had the m1 pro and it was a „good” one, apple then upgraded their amps and dacs a d now I have the brand new mac mini m4 and maaaan. The 3.5mm on this thing is FIRE! AMAZING,smooth, natural sound. If one cna live with 3.5 alone there is really no need to buy a separate dac..
r/iems • Finally, Endgame — My IEM Journey and Recommendations ->The new one that just came out, it’s xenns you can blind buy. I will get my pair once I sell some stuff, even without seeing it’s graph. Previous top was great. If slightly lut of budget then Tea Pro. Or Ziigaat Odyssey is a greta cheaper option, love the odysseys tuning. One of my favourite iems ever.
r/iems • Mid range IEM suggestions! ->Awesome first pair. I just picked those up myself and have been amazed with their natural timbre and punchy bass. A true all-rounder.
r/iems • First pair of IEM's, Ziigaat Odyssey. Thank you for all your recommendations! ->The Odyssey is a great pair of IEMs. At around $200, you cannot do better. Very "in the head" spatially, but as many say, it contributes to a feeling of immersion. I upgraded to the Luna, which is better, but not twice as good (at ~$350). I then opted for the Rockies, which is obviously in another price bracket altogether, and remain very satisfied with them. Much has been made of its "constrained" bass response, but with just a little extra volume, there's plenty of rumble. The Odyssey was bassier at lower volumes, though, and the quality really is superb at its pricepoint. IMO, Odyssey is worth the blind buy.
r/iems • The ZiiGaat Odyssey is my endgame. Selling my XENSS Tea Pro ->I second the recommendation for the Pure. It's truly a benchmark IEM at $90, with nearly as much detail as the Hexa and better bass response. It's a great cross-genre set that fits my ears well, punching way above its price point. Although it's in another price bracket ($230 [~$200 on sale]), an IEM that significantly steps it up in every metric while keeping the same driver configuration (1 DD, 3 BA) is the ZiiGaat Odyssey. I don't think I've heard anything better under $500. Perhaps give it some consideration if you're ever looking to upgrade!
r/iems • Upgrading from Truthear Zero: Blue — Is AFUL Explorer a Good Next Step? ->Chopin or maybe Xenns Top (not pro) hit that U-shaped signature for me. If you can stretch the definition of U to include Mild V, the new meta tuned sets like KE4 and Ziigaat Odyssey are on the table as well but they do have a thicker midrange that comes along with that kind of tuning
r/iems • U Shaped IEM recommendations? ->I'm probably in the minority here, but I have no complaints about a company releasing a ton of options with branded Knowles or Sonion BAs instead of bellsing crap. People have no idea the price difference in branded BAs is sometimes an increase of 10X over drivers companies like Aful use. If you are at all familiar with graphs and how an IEM diverges from JM-1 (neutral), plus the different properties of certain driver types (Dynamic vs. BA vs. Planar etc) you can usually guess 90% of what it sounds like. I like options. My only complaint is their shell shape creates a pressure point on the top/back of my ear. Ziigaat's shells are the only ones I've ever had a problem with. CHANGE UP THE SHELL SHAPE GUYS.
r/iems • KZiigaat back at it again ->Ya there is amazing stuff in the 200 to 300 dollar space, really, like the latest run of Ziigaat stuff, Odyssee comes to mind.. And Doscinco.. There is also the Dunu Davinci.. Juzear 61t..we are having our little brains blown out the ear holes at this point. Going up further in price, the tuning seems to get very specific and unique. You really need to know very well what you want. I think most people could stop at something like Odyssee
r/iems • When do IEMs start to get mind-blowing? ->there are 5-10 great IEMs in 230-530 price range which I wouldn't say one of them is better than the others, rly depends on your tuning preference, actual difference to these would be 800+ IEMs, those Ziigaats fall behind a bit in soundstage compared to Volume S, Tea Pro, maybe not Variations but they are all still good just there are better ones for that
r/iems • BEST iem under 500? ->Funny I come across this post as I'm on my way home from an audiophile store after trying their entire price range of IEMs, as well as their expensive DACs and DAPs. Like from $20 IEMs all the way to a $4000 Forte Ears Macbeth they had. Here's what I concluded as a non-audiophile just gaining interest in this hobby. Diminishing returns for IEMs kicks in hard after $300. Sweet spot seems to be around $200-$250. I really liked the Moondrop Kato and a lot of the Ziigaat IEMs they had. Fit and sound quality felt much better than the Zero Reds I currently have. I feel like once you go above into the upper hundreds into thousands USD range it's more personal preference tbh. Favourite one I tried today was a Campfire Audio Clara. With DACs I felt that as long as it could sufficiently power the IEM, it really didn't make a noticeable difference. Couldn't notice a real difference between my JM6 Pro dongle and their $200 ifi DACs, even on the expensive IEMs. And the Apple dongle is pretty bad. It couldn't drive most of the IEMs I tried. Even the ones it could drive they didn't sound good. Just use a JM6 Pro it's even cheaper than the Apple dongle (at least it is in my country). I did notice a quality difference with DAPs though only with the expensive IEMs. It sounded kind of cleaner but honestly not too big from my perspective. For most people you could probably just go up to around the $200-$300 range with an IEM that fits you comfortably with a preferable sound signature, and get an entry level DAC-AMP dongle and just leave and save the rest of your wallet.
r/iems • Need advice : I tried high end IEM but didn't get it. ->I was in a similar boat as OP and bought the tea pros, ziigaats and et142s. After lots of comparison the et142s were the clear winner and surprisingly the cheapest of the three. They’ve been my daily driver ever since and have never felt the need for anything better. Frankly I have a hard time imagining how they could be improved on. Very, very pleased with my simgot et142s. They are endgame for me for now.
